Tracking and Following
Date of Scene: 15 February 2021
Location: Midtown, New York
Synopsis: Rose chases people and Frank shoots them.
Cast of Characters: Rose Wilson, Frank Castle

Rose Wilson has posed:
Ravager dashes through an alleyway and stops as it opens up into the street, seemingly in pursuit of someone or something. She glances back and forth quickly, frowning as her luck doesn't seem to be on her side.

Dressed in her chainmail, Ravager patiently looks up the street with her narrowed eye...and the clear midnight atmosphere gives away whatever it is hiding at the corner. She can see his breath in the cold, cold air. The shadowy figure isn't so shadowy now and darts across the street toward another alleyway, clearly not waiting for the WALK sign, wanting to get away from this teen pursuer. She takes off after him.

Frank Castle has posed:
At the same time, in a black van that was cruising along on the streets as the man goes, the Punisher stoically watches through a monocular. "He's spooked from something, I can tell." Punisher notes over the commlink to Microchip. "I'm not going to be able to keep up. Send out the drone, I'll catch up."

Elsewhere in the city, a stealth drone is thrown out of a window in an apartment safehouse by Microchip, and it immediately takes to the sky as he heads for the position where Ravager and her target are, preparing to track. "Done. Should be there in a minute, Frank." Microchip replies as he gets back to his computer station.

Rose Wilson has posed:
Ravager has a hard enough time tracking this sneaky guy but has to dodge traffic to in order to pursue him through the second alleyway in New York. She is fairly obvious in her costumed chainmail as she heads into the shadowy alley and confidentally continues the pursuit.

The shadowy figure grabs onto a lower rung of a fire escape and hauls his wirey self up, climbing the ladder up the side of the building. "Where are you goin, asswipe?!" she lets out frustratedly. She climbs on top of a trash can and leaps onto the same ladder but the figure is still ahead of her, perhaps a little more as it takes her some time to start her climb after him again. He is wearing a red Gi and looks like a damn ninja, his visage now clear in the moonlight as he tries to reach the roof.

Frank Castle has posed:
As he listens, Frank just stares in the general direction of where Rose is. "Got a female chasing the target. Get eyes on when you can."

Meanwhile, the Pnuisher just continues along in the Van, blending into traffic with no rush as the Punisher follows.

It's around this time the stealth drone is overheard, though the engines are silenced and it's profile is low. Custom military grade hardware is useful.

Rose Wilson has posed:
As the red figure reaches the middle of the roof, he disappears from view. Rose climbs up onto the roof and looks around again, seemingly as frustrated as she was below on the street. She doesn't seem to move for a moment, as if expecting to discover what is hiding there with some patience. She frowns as she hears the overhead drone because it's hard not to hear it through the deathly silence and she glances up into the sky for it, not knowing exactly where it is. This gives the invisible figure a second to dash away toward the other side of the roof, now can be seen. Ravager runs and mutters, "Damn it!"

Frank Castle has posed:
The drone keeps going along towards the other figure... which, incidentally, gives Rose an accidental tracker on it, since apparently the drone is also tracking her target. Maybe she has an ally somewhere out here?

The Van just continues to go along. Still not rushing. The Punisher is, after all, trailing bigger prey himself, with this man as the bait.

Rose Wilson has posed:
The red figure seems to have attention from someone else, although that doens't make Ravager any happier. He jumps off the edge of the roof and by the time she reaches the edge, she's lost sight of him yet again. If the drone was in the right position, it probably noticed the shadowy figure land on top of a closed dumpster and become invisible again. Ravager steps up onto the edge of the roof, and hops down onto the next fire escape platform, waiting for his next move but doesn't seem aware he's right below her.

Frank Castle has posed:
When it becomes clear Rose doesn't know where the man is ans is waiting, the Punisher grunts lightly as he watches the feed from the Van. "Bump the drone right on top of his head, Microchip."

Out of nowhere, that death silent drone prods the man in the chest once, before it takes back off into the sky, back into stealth. Apparently, Rose has an ally?

Rose Wilson has posed:
Ravager is still on the middle fire escape landing when the drone bumps into the man and he swats at it, revealing his position. She smirks, takes advantage and jumps down, crashing into him. He topples off the dumpster into the alleyway and she gets up, jumping down to retrieve him, "Where is he...?" she asks him, "Start talking." The only problem with this tactic is that more shadowy figures are approaching from the opposite roof but she doesn't know that.

Frank Castle has posed:
Nothing for it. As the Battle Van moves towards a corner of the building where the figures are, the Punisher sets the autodrive system to go around the block, and the Punisher opens the rooftop hatch. Moments later, a Grapnel gun has him on the rooftop, and a silenced Beretta is drawn as the Punisher looks for the figures, hoping to aim for leg shots.

Anyone looking his way will easily notice the full Punisher outfit, trenchcoat, skull vest, and webbing with plenty of ammo and gear. Here's no mistaking the Punisher.

Rose Wilson has posed:
The figures on the roof aren't trying to be invisible and shout something in Japanese as Frank opens up on them. On the open roof, there's not a lot of places to hide but the three of them start to run away from him in opposite directions. One of them is hit and goes down before he can reach the edge of the roof. One of the others may have been shot too but is slowed and draws his sword to face Frank, since he'd probably be unable to get away.

"I said talk! Now!" Ravager yells as she interrogates her capture victim but unfortunately the last of the bullet victims dives off the roof toward her with no consideration for his wounds!

Frank Castle has posed:
The man who goes down gets a side shot from Frank, who shoots out the kneecap of the man as he goes by and heads for the alleyweay Rose is at.

From there, he looks downwards, watching silently, aiming for the man, but not firing. Yet.

Rose Wilson has posed:
Likely unable to defeat him or get away, the men facing Frank stab themselves instead of being taken captive or bleeding out.

Ravager grabs at the man she's interrogating as he also tries to do the same but has to jump back and release the man so the guy diving at her doesn't land on them.. She seems to have good spatial awareness. As the man lands on the street sickly, the other takes out his dagger and stabs himself.

Frank Castle has posed:
Frank, without any prior warning, doesn't have time to shoot the daggers out from the various men. He /almost/ manages to stop the one on the roof with him, but it's literally inside of him as the pistol is aimed. A glance to where the dagger went in makes it clear to the Punisher that there's no saving any of them, either.

A moment later, the Punisher is looking over the rooftop to those below to be sure their daggers are also in the same place, then, he lowers the pistol to an idle position to his side, and glances to Rose.

It's a stare of ice. Even without the Punisher image, the Punisher has a gaze to him that can chill anyone looking into them. For Rose? She can see death in them, easily. This is a broken man.

Rose Wilson has posed:
Ravager stares up at what Frank is doing, frowning at his icy staredown, though doesn't move for cover given that he's shot up just about everyone else. AFter a long moment, she looks down at the two man in the alley and she leans down to see if she can help either one, perhaps not so icy or careless as she was a few years ago when she was a mercenary or in training. Both of them are motionless and she stands up again so she can let out, "What do you think you're doing?" she wonders.

Frank Castle has posed:
"Following an amateur following three other amateurs." Punisher replies matter of factly. "I was going to follow that asshole-" He gestures with the pistol over to the one that Rose was initially following, "-until I found a nest." He glances back to Rose. "That's not an option now, thanks for that."

Without another word, he starts walking back towards the roof corner where the Battle Van was.

Rose Wilson has posed:
Ravager puts her hands on her hips and smirks at his response, "Asshole," she mutters. She looks down at the two men again and decides to walk away.
