Two Blondes and a Balcony
Date of Scene: 16 February 2021
Location: Balcony - Second Floor
Synopsis: Emma and Alison meet on the balcony, and Alsion BURNS Emma before running away!
Cast of Characters: Alison Blaire, Emma Frost

Alison Blaire has posed:
It's not...warm per se, but it's not frigid either. Sitting out on the balcony, in the sun, under a heat lamp, is Ali. She has a guitar across her legs, and is slowly strumming it, changing chords, seemingly running through a couple of sequences and trying to decide which sounds better. As she does this, she hums along, eyes closed, just floating on the music that she is creating.

The balcony has a few students on it, but for the most part, everyone seems to be inside enjoying the warmth.

Emma Frost has posed:
There's an unsubtle 'tinking' sound as if glass were touching the roof top but in the patter and pace of feet, as a woman wearing a pale hoodie, and a pair of green sweatpants steps out of the warmth and onto the chilly rooftop balcony. Emma, barefoot and without anything on her head, steps out in her diamond form and turns to spy the superstar, and chooses to ignore the children. "Oh. Alison. Pleasure." She says as she moves to claim the nearest seat next to the fellow blonde, shooing away a student as she claims the spot and looks to the musician. "When did you get back here?" Emma didn't know Alison had any ties with Xavier's, so she's a bit surprised.

Alison Blaire has posed:
Alison Blaire frowns a little bit, "Do you think I should go A minor, C-sharp, E, or A minor, B minor, D minor on this bridge?" she asks, and then, plays through the chords a couple of times, listening again, before she shakes her head, "Probably need to go retune, it's been awhile..."

She finally looks up at diamond form Emma, and raises an eyebrow, "What's the special occasion? And, I've been back a few days Emma, I should be heading out tomorrow again, next leg of my tour, but...with the latest unrest..." she shrugs a little bit.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma listens, but pauses before answering, "The second one, but, E instead of D minor." Emma says as if she really knows what she's talking about, or is she picking up the information from Alison's mind while sitting here as her diamond self. "It's cold, and I don't much feel like dealing with it and wearing shoes and all that nonsense." Emma says, rolling deeper into her chair and even lacing her fingers behind her head, the sound of diamond pinging off diamond as her finger hook.

"Thinking about cancelling or that you'll be cancelled?" Emma asks, turning her attention to Alison but only out of the corner of her crystaline eye. "Or do you want to go beat up some protestors too like several of these delusional students?"

Alison Blaire has posed:
Alison Blaire stops strumming, and then hummms quietly and picks a couple of strings, before she turns the tuning knob at the top of the guitar. She gets the guitar back in tune, and then strums a D minor, followed by an E minor. Then back to D minor. Then the whole sequence. "Maybe..." she says.

"Thinking that perhaps it's best to put things on hold until they cool down. I'm...rather well known, and do not think I myself, nor my fans, want to be a target of some deranged bigot's revenge attempt. So, I think, for now I may put out a social media post that says the tour will continue as soon as possible but owing to the current climate...." she trails off, and shrugs, "You know...the usual thing when this sort of thing happens."

Emma Frost has posed:
"I've seen that look before. You're not about that life and we both know it, though you do want to show that you care about your fans." Emma pauses and twists to put a hand on Alison's arm, "You /do/ care about your fans." Then rolling back Emma continues after correcting herself. "But also, how bold and powerful of you to stand up there and deliver a show not only for your fans, but for mutants everywhere. For the good humans out there too... A real f**k you to the bigots." Emma says, lifting her ... impossible to see clear eyebrows up on her head. "How's that for an idea?"

Alison Blaire has posed:
"I'm not. You're right. But...it is probably better to put out something a little more neutral. There are likely good people who just aren't very savvy, who are being swayed by some of the more extreme rhetoric. I think saying anything stronger might be taken as...offensive? Too loud? Too pro-mutant. Turned into an example of Mutants wanting too much too soon. Always making it about them." Ali replies, frowning before she lets go of her guitar, and rests her elbows on her knees.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma rolls her eyes at herself and takes a usless breath. "What's your heart telling you to do?" Emma asks, realizing what a cliche she sounds like, but it's also what she feels Alison needs to hear. "What do you think needs to be done, and what can you actually do about it? And lastly, what's stopping you from doing that?"

Alison Blaire has posed:
Alison Blaire sighs and then stands up, "I don't know," she puts her guitar over her shoulder, and adds, "I don't know. I just...want people to get along, so I can play my music and not WORRY about someone attacking a concert of mine. Or me. Or my friends. Or those like me." She starts to walk towards the entrance back into the school, "All I want is to let people be entertained by my music. Is that too much to ask?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma remains in her seat as Alison stands up and then slowly turns her head to face back out away from the school and across, into the trees beyond. "What's stopping you from doing any of that?" Emma asks as she lifts an eyebrow and watches Alison start to walk away and she smirks a million dollar smile as the musician leaves. Emma then turns her head and drops a hand to her thigh and looses the smile as she notes, "Sounds like Xavier really got to you." And the former CEO lingers and watches Alison's reaction.

Alison Blaire has posed:
Alison Blaire stops before she gets to the door and turns back towards Emma, "Really got to me?" she asks, staring at the woman, "What, exactly, do you mean by that?" The other questions are forgotten for the time being.

Emma Frost has posed:
"You want everyone to be all happy and sing kum bai ya or some s**t." Emma says, slowly turning her head back to Alison. "Which, sure, you can hope for the best, but look at history, it's not gonna happen." Emma says, looking back out into the woods on the other side of the fence. "I'm just a bit more of a realist than Charles is."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Maybe the world needs more Charles Xaviers, and fewer Emma Frosts." Alison replies, and then steps through the doors back into the school.
