Cast of Characters: Emma Frost, Rogue

Emma Frost has posed:
The doors swing open to the danger room with Emma already standing it, but without any projections to obscure the metallic interior of the room and she waits with hands on her hips in a rather stark white outfit, A single one piece with armor plates on her chest, shoulders, and arms and legs. Like she's ready for an airsoft battle. "Okay, I'm gonna help you Rogue. Not because I like you, but because you need help. And I didn't get you anything for your birthday." Emma starts off.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue had met Emma in the corridor and the two had started to chat about things, eventually touching on her touching issue. This is why the two are here now. Emma in her armored white suit and Rogue in a green and white ensemble with her leather jacket worn on over that and a white scarf wrapped around her neck. She glances over at Emma as they walk in to the dangerous room. Her gloved hands in her jacket pockets she grins at the White One. "And cause ya like me, don't forget about that part." She tells the other in good humor. As she looks away though, the Belle comes to a stop and just stares around the room. "I don't see how you're gonna help me though, Jean and the Professah have done pretty much all they seem t'be able t'do, what else is there?"

Emma Frost has posed:
"There's me. I'm not hung up on moral victories like they might be." Emma says with a frown and Rogue could hear the woman's eyes rolling at the mention of Jean and Charles' work. "They want you to learn control on your own. I think you could, but something's wrong. You have had these powers for years now, but you're not really pushing them. It's like those teachers that taught abstinence in high school. You're not learning safe sex, you're learning no sex." Emma rolls her eyes again. "I'm going to go into your brain, make a few adjustments, then you'll have a muscle sequence to follow and you'll be able to touch without taking powers. Work for you?"

Rogue has posed:
People who seem 'stuck up' have always been a target of Rogue's humor, she liked to toy with them most. But this wasn't really a time or place for that since Emma was offering to help her in her own way. So Rogue just listens.

A nod comes from the Belle who pulls her gloved hands out of her jacket and places them on her own hips. She grins at the sex talk, because of course, then just lets the grin fade and nods her head gently to the rest, her white bangs flowing around the side of her face as she does it. "Gotcha. I mean... to be fair, that sounds a bit too good t'be true? Ya know, like them phone psychics who say just call'em up and find out where your missin' parents are by lettin'em inside your brain for only like five dollars a minute? But... hey, you seem confident about it."

She pauses, motions with her right hand toward Emma. "Please don't muck up anything else inside'a my head though, yeah? I like just about everythin' else about me besides the touch'n'suck bit."

Emma Frost has posed:
"Not a few john does or Carol you'd like outta there?" Emma asks as she steps closer to Rogue and lifts her own gloved hands up, one to her temple and the other, presses her thumb against Rogue's forehead and fingers against the Belle's temple. Emma's mind isn't subtle as she washes over Rogue with an icy plunge into the depths of the ice queens powerful mental grasp. Emma begins by creating a new space within Rogue's mind, it's like, pitching a tent or building a cabin in the woods, or ... a new farmhouse, however Rogue likes to picture her mind. Emma adapts and begins by making it a clean and simple place. It's similar to Rogue's normal mindspace and yet, she's slowly recalling other parts of Rogue into this place. Her personality, her own specific powers, and yet there's a single piece that gets taken, and not included. Her sense of touch. That's what's missing.

Rogue has posed:
The question from Emma about John Does or Carol gets a sly grin from the Belle as she once more shifts her head right to left once. "Nah. I mean, if you'd asked me a couple years ago, maybe. But Carol... she's like a big sister t'me now. So I would prefer t'keep that connection with her." She doesn't comment on the John Does, as most other touches in her life have been short and not as impactful on her mind's eye.

When Emma puts her hands on her face and starts the process, Rogue's dark eyebrows just flutter shut and she stands there before the other, letting the mind maintenance take place. "Feels like a drunken buzz." Rogue mutters with a slight grin.

Emma Frost has posed:
"That's because you're a bad bitch." Emma replies, sounding almost bored like a therapist in session, though her eyebrows are constantly in motion as she works within Rogue's mind, making almost a duplicate version of the girls entire mind, and overlays it upon the original, like a photoshop copy in a layer with a single edit.

With a deep breath Emma opens her icy blue eyes and looks to Rogue, "How does that feel?" Emma asks, taking a step back and lowering her hand away from Rogue's forehead and away from her own temple. "Let me know now before I finalize everything and make it a bitch for anyone trying to mentally attack you to make things f****d up."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue gives a smirk to that 'bitch' comment from the woman in all white. "Maybe. Never been my style t'call myself that though." She says back softly before her expression softens again and she just slowly moves her weight from one booted foot to the other. She keeps her eyes shut too up to the point where Emma steps back and asks for an appraisal of the work. Rogue hs to take a second to consider it, consider how she feels before she puts her green eyes back on to the woman and nods her head once. "I feel fine. Good even. Like I just had an energy drink, or somethin'." She shows a lopsided grin then.

She places her right hand upon her hip and tilts her head a little to the White Queen. "Ya think Jean'll be upset about this?" She asks, apparently concerned about what the Headmistress thinks!

Emma Frost has posed:
"Fine, fine, no bitch calling, but you are pretty bad ass." Emma admits as she looks at her handy work and then nods softly, "Now, squeeze both your pinkies at the same time. That should switch it in your mind to where your powers work like they were... I don't want it to be easy or something you could do on accident." Emma says, with a shrug. "Jean will likely hate it, but what Jean don't know." Emma winks playfully before stepping back and reaching to her wrist to peel one of her gloves off and holds it out towards Rogue. "Lets give it a try."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue is, of course, a bit lost in the potential of what this 'upgrade' could mean for her life. There's a lot to process there, suddenly being able to choose when and where she wants to use her mutation, or when NOT to use it. She'd been dealing with the darn thing for almost a decade now, and having zero control over it. She does as Emma instructs though and when she sees the woman remove her glove she smiles faintly. "Jean has a way'a figurin' things out without much effort though." So she's experienced!

Rogue pulls one of her gloves off then too and raises her hand up now without it on, she moves her fingers a little, staring at her own fingertips, before she looks to Emma's hand, then to Emma's eyes and reaches out to touch her hand to the other's own. "Hows that?" She asks, quietly.

Emma Frost has posed:
"Seems fine to me." Emma says, having immediately put her money where her mouth is and smirking with a grin. "I'm glad it works on my end. How is it on your end?" Emma asks, keeping her hand out and still touching Rogue, and waiting for that dreaded 'zap' to happen, but not expecting it to. Emma trusts her own work and skill. "And if Jean finds out, tell her it was all me, you didn't have any say so. I'll take the fall for you being able to touch someone." Emma says with a knowing kind of a glint in her eye briefly looking almost, sympathetic towards Rogue.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue feels the other's smooth hand touching her own and she does grin at the sensation that it causes inside of her. She's touched a few people since her mutation started, hell even when she absorbs someone she gets to touch them too after all.

But to touch someone and not have it suck the life force outta their body is a... wlel it's a nice gift. "Happy birthday to me then, huh?" Rogue says with a grin to Emma in return. "And yeah, I'm totally gonna tell Jean. I have'ta, because I've learned bein' upfront is way easier than letting someone find out about stuff that'll upset them, on their own? Yeah, no. But I'll uh... yeah, send her your way for answers."

She smiles at the other and draws her hand back, flexing the muscles of her fingers a little while looking down at her hand. "Never had my Carol powers, and the ability to touch people before. This is a first..." She mutters. When she looks up she smiles again. "Thanks, Emma. Had no idea you had this kinda power..."

Emma Frost has posed:
"I don't go around rewriting people's brains often. Scott and Jean tend to frown upon that." Emma says with a wink before she lets go of Rogue's hand and smiles. "Happy Birthday Marie, and if you must know, ... you can learn control, but it's a muscle you have to work out, you haven't ever worked it out before." Emma says with a nod before she slips her glove back on and starts to move towards the doorway of the danger room. "You staying and exploring, or you coming out and gonna live that life?" Emma teases.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue huffs out a little laugh at the Jean and Scott part. "Yeah, I imagine not." She replies softly before taking her eyes off of her own hand and lower it down to her side while she looks to the other woman. "A muscle I've never worked out before, right." She repeats, giving a look around the room that they spend a lot of time working out in as a team. But when she looks back Emma's already walking away. "I'm comin', I'm comin'." Rogue mutters and moves her botted feet to catch up with her. "I just need t'know /how/ to'work on that 'muscle' and I'll do the work. I wanna do this Jean's way too, ya know? It's just... can't I have both in the time?"

Emma Frost has posed:
"You have to touch others, you have to learn what it feels like to turn off your powers while they're active. It's something you can only learn by doing, but at the cost of hurting someone else, which... sucks." Emma says with a deep deep sigh. "You don't know anyone willing to go through that for you, right?" Emma asks with a look over her shoulder at Rogue's green eyes.

Rogue has posed:
As they walk, Rogue starts to put her glove back on because she's just used to them being on at this point. She walks alongside Emma and looks over at her as they exit the room and that last question is asked of her from the other. She considers it a moment and has to shake her head side to side before her green eyes go back to Emma's and then back down to her hands. "No." She says. "I mean I know people who probably could be that... like say, Logan, but I don't think he would do it, ya know?"

She purses her lips for a moment as her eyes raise up to look down the stylish all metal corridor of the X-Men base. "Who knows what's around the corner though?" She asks with a glance over to Emma again and a grin. "Life's full'a surprises after all."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma looks around the corner and then back at Rogue, "What're you looking for- Oh, you're making a point. Goodness, don't be so cliche." Emma says with a roll of her eyes and then starting to walk away. "And in case you can't put two and two together, I'm offering to help you with that too, though, as far as I can tell, you'd rather gouge my eyes out than have parts of me in your head like Carol. Though, I can't blame you. I know I'm an awful lot to handle." Emma nods stoicly as she makes her way towards the locker rooms to probably change out of the silly armor she wears.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue of course startrs to walk with her when she moves and keeps her eyes forward and down a bit while she concentrates on the other's words. She smirks at them. "Look, you're just... admittedly parts of you remind me of Mystique. The woman who got me stuck with Carol's stuff. She offered t'care for me, teach me, train me, so on and so forth too. But in reality, all she wanted t'do was use me. Like a tool, to her own ends achieved." Rogue looks up and ofer at Emma then. "Plus the stuff with Kitty, that's hard t'forgive too. But you're here, and you're clearly tryin' t'help, so ... yeah, I'll accept the help and the risks involved. This is my life after all. I don't wanna be... radioactive the whole damn time."

She follows the other in to the locker room as well, since they were both in uniforms that needed changing before going up to the school proper.

Emma Frost has posed:
"I get that, I know I lack everyone's trust here, but I'm not Mystique, thank God, but how else can I earn trust than to offer to keep helping you and everyone else?" Emma asks, as she takes a bench and starts with those awful shoes. "This things suck, but at least they offer good support." She says, tossing them over her shoulder. "If I were trying to use you, like you fear, I wouldn't be living with you and stealing your sweatpants when you weren't looking." Emma says, reaching up and taking the pin out of her hair and letting her strands fall around her shoulders and back. "I wouldn't have gotten fired from my father's company." She says with a sigh and a glance towards Rogue with those icy blue eyes.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue goes to her locker and keys it open with a gloveless finger touch to the ID scanner. The door pops open and she takes off her jacket to hang it on a hook inside of it. She listens and smirks to Emma's words about her sweatpants. "I've had t'order new ones on Amazon for replacements, thinkin' I'd lost mine, ya know." She chides the other before she sits down on the seat in front of her locker space and goes on with her clothing change. "I get it, I don't really think you're here t'hurt us. We all come in different shades around here, sometimes those shades are just hues that we gotta spend a bit more time gettin' used t'lookin' at, I guess."

The Belle shoots a smile over to Emma then. "All in good time, hopefully we have that in abundance too."
