Cast of Characters: Bruce Banner, Anthony Druid

Bruce Banner has posed:
Reaching out to Anthony, Bruce isn't terribly forthcoming with anything other than he needed someone to talk to and it was important. His room is pretty basic and has little in the way of decor or ameneties unless you count stacks books and papers. He opens the door at the predetermined time.

Anthony Druid has posed:
Anthony Druid made sure that Bruce knew he was coming, knowing better than to interject or take the gentleman off-guard, invitation or no. He knocks carefully, clad in a tweedy professorial fashion, his thick brows dark above his bright green eyes.

"Doctor Banner. A pleasure, as always," he says, once invited inside, "What manner of assistance can I provide you, good sir?"

Bruce Banner has posed:
"Doctor Druid. Thank you for coming to see me." he offers in reply to the greeting. It is clear he appreciates the easy heads up. Surprises are bad for sure. He motions him inside and closes the door,"It is good to see you as well. I will try not to take up too much of your time."

He indicates empty chairs,"Please. Make yourself comfortable." He doesn't really have a knack for being a good host, but he isn't completely inept,"I have been considering a deep trigger word. Something that when spoken will make the other guy sleep or at least over come stress around him."

Anthony Druid has posed:
Anthony Druid takes a seat as offered, sitting carefully and crossing his legs. The suggestion doesn't entirely take him off-guard. As both a psychiatrist and a mystic, he's uniquely gifted in terms of these sorts of difficulties.

"An intriguing possibility," he says. "I haven't examined the depths of your psyche, doctor, out of respect for your privacy, of course. For such a thing to work the way you suggest, I would have to mesmerize him, which seems...difficult. Not, perhaps, impossible, but certainly a challenge. Especially if he saw it as a threat."

Bruce Banner has posed:
"I hate being the Hulk. He hates being me." Bruce comments thoughtfully,"There have been attempts in the past to try and control him, but as a general rule he is uncontrollable. I wonder if it can even be done really. I mean I have PHD level trainings, but the other guy's mind seems more protected than mind. I can be tricked of manipulated, but not him." He considers a moment longer and addmits,"I appreciate you not examining too deep. I'm not sure either of us wants to see that."

Anthony Druid has posed:
Anthony Druid strokes his beard, "Another option might be that I try to place such a word in you. A word that might diffuse your anger or fear, calm you down and help prevent transformation. Of course, such a word might be quite dangerous. In the wrong hands, it would leave you powerless," he says. "His ability to resist mental influence may be simply a matter of willpower or due to his primal nature. While I haven't contacted him directly, his mind may be more resembling that of an...animal than a person. Although I can talk to certain an imals, but I do that through different kinds of magic related to my ties to Celtic myth."

Bruce Banner has posed:
He considers that for a long moment. There is a dangerous level of people knowing what he is and not being able to protect himself,"Is there a way to limit who could use the word?" he muses out loud to himself mostly,"I am sorry Doctor, but this is outside my world. I understand science. While I agree there is more to life and that magic must exist I wonder if it is just a science that lacks definition."

Anthony Druid has posed:
Anthony Druid shakes his head, "No need to apologize. Although trigger words and hypnotism are scientific as much as they are mystical - my abilities as a mentalist simply allow me to do them more reliably, but I know many completely mundane psychiatrists who are quite skilled at such things. But, to my knowledge, I don't know if I could limit it to who was able to say it, although it's an intriguing idea," he says, "I think it would be easier to tie it to one specific person than it would be to eliminate unwanted people. But that would mean it would only work if that person was present. Captain America would be my suggestion, as he's the most trustworthy man I know."

Bruce Banner has posed:
"I would want to speak to Captain Rogers ahead of time, but I think you are right." he comments about the person in question. It takes him a moment to get his head around the rest,"I think the science of them beed to be enhanced." he finally admits,"I know, perish the thought." He smirks a little at his own self depriciation.

Anthony Druid has posed:
Anthony Druid smiles, "There are always new breakthroughs, but you know as well as anybody, the cost of such breakthroughs can be high indeed. And yes, I would need the good Captain present in order to make the connection. He would have to actually say the word for me to imprint it. There would be gaps, obviously - he can't be with you all the time - but it might provide at least some failsafe. I could, by the same measure, create a word that would activate your transformation, but I suspect that isn't particularly a problem for you."

Bruce Banner has posed:
"No risk, no reward so they say." he replies softly with a shrug. This is the guy that drove out into an active nuclear blasting site to save a stranger's life after all. He nods and admits,"I am considering talking to a telepath and maybe another inclined like you for several options. Maybe Wanda. I haven't encountered her in some time though."

Anthony Druid has posed:
Anthony Druid nods, "Don't worry, doctor, I expect no contractual obligation," he says with amusement. "Nor would I exploit you on my television programs or other media endeavors. While others may sometimes think me simply a poseur, I take my responsibilities as a mystic, a healer and an Avenger quite seriously. Wanda has a wide arrange of expertise, although her connections to chaos can be...unpredictable,' he says.

Bruce Banner has posed:
"I want several ways to do what we are talkinag about, but you are right I need to limit who can actually do it." he muses thoughtfully,"I don't mind television for the right reasons and I didn't think you would take advantage of me that way or I wouldn't have asked. People think the anarexic scientist can actually become that guy." There is a nod as he considers her unpredictable power,"That could be dangerous in it's way."

Anthony Druid has posed:
Anthony Druid smiles, "I appreciate your confidence," he says. "Getting second and third opinions is a wise decision. And I'll keep putting my mind towards any other solutions. I'm sure you're weary of facing this curse, even if you have found a way to often use it for good."

Bruce Banner has posed:
He nod in the appreciation,"Any ideas would be good. Honestly if I could be rid of him and all the iterations of him I'd be happy. He is the definition of inconvenience. It is hard to say I know what to think. I'm not in a hurry to die and probably once he was gone I'd be a target."
