Heather Danielson has posed:
Borscht. Savory, Earthy. Beets. But warm soup is always welcome on a colder day. Heather is on her third bowl by the time her ... um ... date arrives. It's not that she really is looking for a date. Or really needing to do the romance scene. It's not that she is here to be romantic. She is here because her BFF suggested that she meet her teacher. I mean come on, Heather is eighteen years old herself. She's not the sort who should or would date a teacher.
She is however, very friendly and willing to humor her friend who thinks this is all apparently very funny.
She looks down to her phone and responds to yet another teasing text from Paige... sending a STICKING OUT TONGUE emoji before she takes the last bite of that third bowl. Yes, she eats a lot more than any model ever has. But that's because of her own healing factor. The fact that she manifested her powers on camera in public means that she can't really -have- a secret ID.
But as a member of the Titans, she doesn't really need one either. So there she sits, waiting for her... *cough* appointment.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Date? Is this a date? That is /not/ what Paige said. In fact it was just an attempt to meet another hero, someone of similar powers. Someone that knows what its like to be young and powerful. The Russian strong man looks around for a few moments, he doesn't exactly know Heather, but she doesn't have a secret identity right? So eventually she is easy to spot.

The large powerful man pauses for a moment and then steps forward, "Ah, Heather? Paige's friend?" he asks carefully, a hint of that russian accent in his low voice.

Heather Danielson has posed:
Glancing up, Heather offers that warm trademark smile of hers. "Yeah!" she says as she wipes her lips with a napkin. "Sit down!" she offers as she stands up and offers a hand, "Boy, they grow'em big where you come from, huh?" she asks as she sits back down and flags down the server. "Another for my new friend here..." she says before looking back to Piotr. "I am told your name is... Pee-oh-ter?" She pronounces it carefully, but being a typical millennial America, she mangles it.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
"Yes, some of us are big." Running a hand through his hair for a moment and then he seems amused by her attempt, "Piotr." he says it for her, "You will get used to it sure enough I promise." He doesn't mean to shift in his seat, but does until he has found a comfortable spot. "So, how do you know Paige?" he wonders as he gives the server a smile, anticipating the incoming offering.

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Well, we had an interesting run-in in central park." offers Heather as she slides her now empty bowl to one side and reaches for a glass of water she had set on the table before her already. She takes a sip and shrugs, "Sufficed to say, it was something right out of Lord of the Rings, or seemed that way."

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
"Lord of the Rings? Swords and sorcery? Not our normal thing and yet...it wouldn't be the first time." Piotr agrees with a smile and a nod. "So who came to save who?" he wonders with a grin. He thanks the server then as his own Borscht is delivered. He then takes the first taste, considers it and then nods before he goes for a second.

"Very good." Piotr replies, "I've heard of your exploits...its not easy when things are so public. I honestly am not sure how you do it." he admits.

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Yuri makes good food." says Heather before she digs into the next bowl herself. But she eyes the server and when the two of them have a bit of privacy, she continues. "Well, there were like Ork Goblin whatevers with bows and swords and axes and such. There were civilians, and a kid who took an arrow to the stomach.. She couldn't run... so I just kinda... gave field first aid... applied pressure and covered her. See..." she shrugs and grimaces. "Paige tells me there is one of her people with abilities similar to my own. I mean that.. I am not really tougher than the average person, but I heal so fast that it seems like I am. So, here I was, trying to cover this girl, taking half a dozen arrows in my back. And let me tell you... just because it heals, doesn't mean it doesn't hurt."
She takes another bite and shrugs, "I was trying to fend them off without letting this girl bleed out, and here comes Paige, charging to the rescue. It's not like -I- was in danger, but thanks to Paige, that girl survived."

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr Rasputin smiles, there is an exhale. The teacher so proud of Paige in that moment. "She is right, we do have one that heals like so. It is a difficult thing, to still feel the pain I am sure. I am lucky in that, I may not heal like you...but...metal is not so easy to break, yeah?" he explains with a smile.

"What we do, the training we do, the teaching. For some its just control, so they can live their lives." the Russian pauses, "For others we have a calling to help others, as you do. Paige has that calling. She has much potential, we are fortunate to have her around."

Heather Danielson has posed:
"As for how I live? It's... well before I ever got these abilities, I was already in the public eye. So it was just an evolution of the life I was already living. But I joined up with the Titans because I live in Metropolis, and it gave me a group of friends and teammates who understood what I was dealing with."
But she nods, "My daddy is a firefighter back in the Midwest. You might say I grew up with a hero in my life already giving me a good example. He runs into fires .. without powers. Scares the hell out of me but.." she shrugs.
"You are right. Some people just have the instinct to run -towards- trouble instead of running away from it. That's something that is difficult to teach if someone doesn't already have it. But... knowing that.." a pause... and her brain registers what you said, "Metal?" she asks, eyes roving over his form. "Metal that looks fleshlike?" she adds.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
"Yes, metal. I am strong, for sure, but my metal skin is what saves my life more than the muscles you see." Piotr says with a chuckle. "These abilities I have, others would want to use them for their own purposes, now I use them for mine. For me, my family, my friends." he nods, "As you do, yeah? To help others...its different for us, but also similar."

He takes a sip of his soup again. "I had a much more rural life, hard work, but not like here. Russia is much different. Perhaps in a different world I'd have been a Russian hero like Captain America, eh?" he chuckles, not really believing that.

Heather Danielson has posed:
"So, your skin is like metal?" asks Heather as she boldly just reaches forward and tries to poke an index finger at the man's shoulder. Gently though, because she -has- learned to control her own superhuman strength.
But either way, she chuckles and nods, "I am sure you would have made an excellent Captain ... hrm, what's a good word for that. Major Russia? No, that's terrible." she mutters, trying to think of something else.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Such a disappointment that his skin in the moment is as soft as her own. Her finger presses in and only finds the resistance of powerful and tight muscles, the man is truly something. "Not always metal." he chuckles.

"Major Russia? Oh my goodness. I think I am better as I am, a Colossus." he says with a smile. "It is best to think of how I can be what I am, and not try and be something else I think?"

Heather Danielson has posed:
Shrugging her shoulders, Heather looks up to his face. Then she ahs and nods. "So, not always metal. I understand now. Captain Colossus then?" she asks with a wry smirk.
She takes another of her meal and leans back in her seat. "But I think that is the best way to find real happiness. To simply learn to be content with the person you are. To accept yourself as the best you that you can be. Too many people think that they need some outside force to -make- them happy. I choose to need an outside force to make me -un- happy."
And another smile spreads over her face. "I have to admit, I'd love to see you in action."

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr Rasputin grins a bit, "I too would like to see what you can do." he says as he glances her over, catching himself he takes another bit of soup into his mouth. "But I think we would be better off without the thrill of such dangers yeah? Life can be thrilling enough as it is." he smiles a bit. "So..what else do you do, besides...you know. Save little girls from fantasy monsters?" he grins.

Heather Danielson has posed:
Smirking a bit, Heather shrugs, "I was actually in your homeland not so long ago. There was some big to do with the Titans, and one of our enemies having taken the family of one of our people prisoner. It was all a big hush hush thing, but I managed to do a flying tackle of a low flying power armor suit. It was really stupid.." she adds.
Then she takes a bite and shrugs, "I have the benefit of powers that let me do really stupid things and get away with them from time to time though." A pause, "Oh, and generally, what I end up doing is diving in the way, getting shot so someone else doesn't... and just being okay later. You wouldn't -believe- how much I spend on replacement clothing though."

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
"I call it tanking." Piotr says, "More fitting for me perhaps, given my size and the metal...but you know, taking the hits that others can not?" he tries to explain. "It is often a fools errand to put yourself in danger to absorb the damage and yet...it is a needed part of the strategem?" he chuckles. "Oh so those holes in the jeans aren't on purpose?" he teases her a hint about the clothes problem.

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Oh, those are a choice. More to the point, I choose to wear them because they are so comfortable, and I don't mind the... distressed look. I know it's kind of an older look, but it works for me." offers Heather as she glances down at her pants. Then she shrugs and adds, "Though most people aim for the chest and stomach area y'know. I have a whole close of the same shirts. Mostly rock band shirts."

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
A glance down and then back up, "Yes of course..." he chuckles a bit. "Do you wear a uniform like so many heros? Perhaps something more resistant to that sort of damage." he suggests, "I...well, I'm metal so I do have less of a problem with damage and pain, and more an issue with size. It is not easy finding clothes my size." he jokes.

Heather Danielson has posed:
"There are custom clothing stores that do big and tall stuff." offers Heather reflexively. She is all about clothing and fashion.. duh.
But then she smirks and shakes her head, "I'm working on something... not sure if it's the right look though."
She whips out her phone, and loads up a picture of a selfie she took in the black outfit thingamagoober before showing it over the table with a bit of a cringe of self-conscious self-doubt.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
His gaze lands on the image and he pauses for moment, lips part and he clears his throat having to adjust his thoughts for a moment. "That is quite stunning. Yes. I think that would work nicely. "Clearly functional and combat capable, a memorable look for people as well." He has nothing to say about how little it is, afterall, such sort of costumes are common in the hero world. "I think you look great."

Heather Danielson has posed:
Shrugging her shoulders, Heather looks at the picture, "I just think it's all frill, no function. I was thinking of some sort of jump suit idea with pockets and places to hold gear, first aid supplies, etc." she offers. "I mean, where is it written that I have to just go as I am, without taking supplies with me? Plus, I seriously need a way to carry about a dozen power bars into the field. You see... unlike some super regenerators, I actually need thousands of extra calories to help the power function."

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
"Ah. Yes, a belt of many pouches." Piotr decides with a grin, perhaps thinking of some of his fellow X-men as he says it. "I have some teammates that often have to bring gear, their abilities not quite as physical as mine..." The list is many. "It could be wise to have a few necessities. "Perhaps in the jacket? Or along the belt?" he suggests although it would be one of the other X-Men that would be better at this sort of suggestions, Forge and Hank perhaps.

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Right. That sounds like something out of a fantasy game." offers Heather. "A magic belt of pockets or something." she says as she shakes her head.
"Last time, I had like a tight army camelback pack with a protein laced drink in the reservoirs. And a few power bars in the pack part. But..." she smirks and wrinkles up her nose, "Don't think me -too- girly, but.. it really didn't mesh well visually with my costume. So I was thinking of finding someone to make a custom outfit with something like that built into it."

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
"Paige and I may know someone that could help if you do not." Piotr suggests, "But...you Titans..." its glam by X-Men standards..right, they are just a school. Yeah. Sure. "You probably have someone quite capable of coming up with an idea for what you need." he says with a smile as he looks back from the image and instead to her. "Nothing girly in wanting to look good. We all want to look good. Even in battle I suppose."

He shrugs, "You don't have that problem I am sure typically. Even I have been through some uniform changes over my time, but I think the red pants work better than just a red swim suit. Yeah?"

Heather Danielson has posed:
Lifting a single blonde brow, Heather glances over the large form before her. "Well, that's up to you. And when you turn metal, is it like iron gray? Dark steel? Or shiny?" she asks, "Because if it was shiny, I'd totally want to show as much of it as was decent to show. I mean... shiny, right?"

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
This actually causes him to laugh quite a bit, "Yeah it is shiney." Piotr admits with a grin, "I hadn't thought of it frm the shiny point of view...how is it I missed this." he says amused. "Perhaps I need a fashionista to help me with my look." he jokes a bit.

Heather Danielson has posed:
"So, like.. a big red speedo with shiny metal? Why not?" asks Heather. "I mean, I would also love to see that look with jeans, a wifebeater and some oversized biker jacket. Maybe with ray bans to go with it." Heather posits, absently speaking while kind of looking off into space.
Then she shakes her head, "I mean, you could be the Steel skinned bad boy for sure."

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr Rasputin watches her a moment in silence just smiling and letting her daydream before she shakes it off. "Steel skinned badboy...mmm, there are times for that, yes." he grins a bit pushing his empty bowl to the side now. "Perhaps soon you will see it for yourself?" he says of his steel skin.

Heather Danielson has posed:
"We should totally go find some open field and show off, practice and such! I need someone super tough to practice my moves on anyway. I'm trying to learn some better self defense techniques, and I really don't want to use super strength to break a friend." offers Heather as she jumps up to her feet.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
He hesitates a moment and then finally cant resist, perhaps drawn to her excitement. "Alright. Lets go." he says rising as he reaches into his back pocket to grab his wallet and toss some money onto the table to pay for their meals. "But we should be careful." he says, "I do not want you to get hurt, even if you can recover." he adds.

Heather Danielson has posed:
With a shrug, Heather quotes an old 80's movie.. even with a southern accent. Though, her voice is nothing like Jesse Ventura. "Pain don't hurt." But she heads out the front door that the enthusiasm that only a teenager can muster.
She turns and walks backwards as she adds, "I mean you're going to what.. stand there and let me beat on you ineffectually then?" She snorts, "Boring."

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr Rasputin chuckles, "I will let you convince me on the way? How about that. Yeah?" he suggests as a sort of compromise. "There ar some fields I know out here, it is good in the country." he decide.

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Well, I'll drive then." says Heather as she gestures to her little Toyota. Yes, she drives a Prius. She's rich and such, and drives a Prius. Powder blue too. The sort of thing that makes macho men feel emasculated just by being near it.
"Unless you just want to run there or something. I'm not super fast though, so figured driving'd be easier."

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
"Driving is best, I am big and strong, not the Flash." Piotr promises her. He pauses and looks at the car, walks around it a moment and the says, "I am not sure how well I will fit. Maybe I should drive?" he muses with a grin back to her.

A brief gesture to the side and he came in a fairly common SUV, not the most expensive by any means but large enough he is comfortable driving it.

Heather Danielson has posed:
Looking from her modest car over to the SUV and back, Heather nods, "Might be best. As much as I'd love to see you try to crunch yourself into my tiny car... I think you might break the car." She grins at that and turns to bound over to the SUV. "Let's do this." she adds.
