Bart Allen has been hitting a lot of arcades, so many of them might have seen BHA as the top scores. He heard about this place and knew he had to come check it out. Luckily he did remember to stop in an alley about a block away and change back from Impulse to Bart. So into the vintage mecca comes the young man from the future. He has seen other planets, futures, and dimensions, but walking into the place and looking around his jaw drops for a moment, and then a huge grin crosses his face. "I am going to have to tell Rob about this place.

Madigan Belle has posed:
Too bad he's later than Madigan. She's been coming to this place now for a few weekends in a row. Whenever she can get the chance, and now she's gotten here just a day earlier since she skipped out on school today entirely. Yep, she's here. In her leg braces, and playing hard in a lot of the old bullet hell games. She's near topped the list on almost every game here that has a list, including winning Golden Axe in 1 quarter with the woman and her tiny sword. A difficult task, to say the least, and just now she's finishing up a game of Raiden II. Putting in her 4 letter name, MadB. Sure, she may have shown up at other arcades around other cities but she doesn't move around as fast as Bart does. Though he might notice her initials. She's grabbing her crutch and seeing a line start at the Mortal Kombat II game, and starts to head her way that way. Swaying her hips in an exaggerated fashion to swing her legs with the braces locking each step so she can do it again. It is slow going, but she'll get there.

Bart Allen hmmms and while his first instinct is to super speed through all the games, he has been working on patients. He will actually pull from some of the training he has gotten from Robin "Recon" So, he is walking along looking at this game or that, one for a moment. But soon, he will find his way to the Mortal Kombat machines as well. He will head to Mortal Kombat 4. It may be one of the least popular of the games, but that also means less of a wait to play it.

Madigan Belle has posed:
A token goes up on the railing from Madi's fingers and she gets to the back of the little line at MKII. She is waiting, and waits, and waits, and is trying to see past people but no one is moving out of her way. It is pretty quickly that she's up on the right hand side of things. The guy next to her now, who's been killing everyone, shakes his head, "Awwww, I don't want to beat a cripple."

And Madigan kind of looks up, an her eyes get wide and she snort-laughs, "Trust me when I say, this is going to be really embarrassing for you." Loading up her token, she selects Katana and waits. 'Fight' is said by the machine and she's moving, smoothly and fast, faster than the guy next to her at least. And within 10 seconds, the voice of the Arcade says, 'Finish Him'. And soon the iconic kiss of death effects are exploding guts all over, "Wooooo! This cripple wooped your ass. Dumbo-McQueen."

She begins to repeat the process with her other competitors. Soon enough, for Bart, people are coming over to MK4 just to get away from the loudish redhead.

Bart Allen looks over and while is not talking crap, he will be be kicking butt as well, but for Bart, about ten people or so is enough for him. When none of them have proved much of a problem, he waits until a younger kid is up against him, and throws the game. He looks over to the kid, and says "Good game." walking from that machine, as people root for the kid. He noticed Madi and her rampage earlier so he will head over to get in line to face her, maybe a challange?

It only takes a few more matches before Bart is up next. Madi is sucking in air and then letting out a big expressive blast of it, well, at least enough to make her hair flutter up and over her glasses. "Hello, evening. Sorry, you are totally going to lose your money." She says and everyone else has started to leave this game seeing as Madi keeps wiping the floor with everyone, and not even in a fun way, just killing them and finishing them. "I'm kind of good at this game, and other fighters, well video games in general. Madi, nice to meet you. Wow, you have interesting eyes. Are those natural? Do you have some kind of disease? I can think of at least a few different genetic varieties that might lead to yellow eyes."

Bart Allen offers a smile, and says "Bart, nice to meet you Madi. I maybe ok at video games myself." He grins a bit and "No disease, unless the doctors aint found it yet. Had them since I was a kid, believe or not, most people don't notice that easily." He slides his quarters into the machine, and says "You ready?" He ask with a bit of a smirk showing.

"I've been known to notice things from time to time." Madi smiles big, offering white teeth as she turns her head to look at Bart, and up since he's taller, "Well, they're interesting. All I have is blue. It works though, I mean, it's also an associated genetic trait with other recessive genes, especially ones dealing with melanin. Common amongst pale skinned people with red hair."

The Video game machine says, 'Fight'. And Madi is already moving, there's only so many inputs the game allows at once, but she's immediately moving her character right after the voice calls out. And all too soon, Bart may realize her reaction times are incredible.

Bart Allen is on the defense as he did not expect her to be moving like this. He will bring find himself reacting faster than he expect to have to to keep up, but keep up he does. "A lot of my family are red heads, mine is darker side for the family." He offers with a grin. He will find himself with a few chances for offensive strikes, but no where near his normal. "Your good." He says as he puts up a really good fight but she takes the first match.

There's a bit of a giggle, from Madi, as her Katana kisses your character and you swell up then explode in the 'Finish Him' part of the match. Though she is laughing, it isn't from a place of you suck, it is while watching this end scene as she says, "I love this part of the game. It is like the level of gore that you might find in a good zombie movie. Or bad, which often are even better, cause of all the splatter." She grins, and looks back, no one else is in the the line and she shrugs a bit to Bart. "Bart. Is that your full name, or is it a nickname? Madi is a nickname, short for Madigan. Which means I'm Irish, or someone is cruel." She quirks her mouth to the side and lets her eyes get a bit bigger, as she offers, "Which makes me a walking cliche, but neither of my parents had red hair. Well, not expressed. Clearly they had the genes. MC1R gave you freckles, I'm a bit jealous, not really though, I like my clear skin, but I'd be about 4 times as cute with freckles. Wanna play again? That was the first challenge of the night. Are you any good at Smash? My Switch got shot, but I've got another one on order."

Bart Allen smiles and is playing Raiden as he says "Hey I got two more rounds, he tells her. Mine is Bartholomew named after my grandfather and dad, but he does not go by it either. He is Barry, and I have always been Bart. " He grins and says Madigan is not a bad name, see if you were four times cuter would be totally unfair, as your already cute enough to distract when your playing games." He starts off fast with the offense first this time "Have you seen Zompire Slayer 4 yet?"

Madigan Belle is listening while you talk and then she nods her head, "Two more rounds, makes best out of three." And you continue on about the name, she is nodding, listening, biting her lip a bit, genuinely paying attention. Then her jaw drops a little, "Whaaat? No fair, being complimentary like that right before starting our next match?" Distracted more, by Zompire Slayer 4, "No, I ... its hard for me to be at the theaters, and my Uncle hasn't gotten me a bootleg copy of it yet." Though she's playing, and she's gone a bit wide-eyed, thinking about the trailer, thinking about compliments, thinking about names, and she's not fully on her game for someone who is also super quick. She loses. And she leans forward, dumbfounded, looking at the screen then to Bart, then to the screen, then to Bart, and then squints, "Round 3." She leans down to put her token in.

This time, she's not holding back any of her powers, concentrate Madi. Win.

Bart Allen smiles over at her, and says "Hey just calling them like I see them." He tells her, and is ready for her. He gets his game face on, tongue sticking out just a bit to one side, as yea Bart has a bit of a goofy concentrating face. He will be ready to match her and as he find her going faster, he matches her. Soon the two of them are moving beyond speeds a normal person could go. Luckily none have noticed that someone has stood up to the gamer queen yet, so not as easily noticed by others. As they hands blur over the controls, and get to the point where the mechanical switches can't keep up with them, the game goes fuzzy, some of the programming flashes on the screen, and the game itself reboots back to factory settings. Bart blinks for a moment, and as he realizes it all, "Hey you were going at super speed." as if he was not as well.

The last comment, gets Madi to look to the side and up just as the game starts, and then she has no time to comment back. She's leaning forward, face closer to the screen as she's going. Going fast. And then faster. And faster, and faster, and the game was only going to give 99 seconds for the entire match - but it seems like an eternity for just the first 10 seconds. The amount of choices, quick changes, pressing of buttons, triggering another one before the game has time to react. And then...

"Whaaaaaaaaat?!?!?!" Madigan's eyes go wide, her mouth gapes open, and she's stunned. The game reset. She didn't win, he didn't win, who's the winner who's the loser? No one will ever know. This particular game doesn't seem like it can handle the stress. Taking in a deep breath, she lets it out in a huff, and runs her fingers up through her red hair and shakes it out giving a bit of a frazzled messy look to it, but nothing particularly crazy. "Well, clearly the -game- wasn't." She rolls her eyes, seemingly a lot less concerned about Bart's observation than perhaps he is, "Damn. I was totally going to beat you there. Say it. I'm the winner. You lose." She grins up at you, and offers her brightest, biggest smile with her eyes as wide open as she can get them.

Bart Allen shakes his head, and says "Na, you were going to go down, I was going to." He steps back, and makes karate poses off to the side so not aimed at her "Give you a hey ya, and hi you." He makes a goofy kick and a punch at the air, "And then then it would have been over, and you would have been "Oh Bart your the bestest ever." He smiles at her obviously playing around "You want to get something to eat, and play something something else?" He will nod over towards the food area.

Rolling her eyes, Madi says to the side, as if she were saying it under her breath, but loud enough for anyone in normal conversation to hear her, "I'd of sliced and diced you to nothing." She grins, though, and shakes her head a bit while biting the tip of her tongue in a happy grin. Watching you do kicks and such she laughs, and it isn't hidden or held back, "Oh, my god. You are like totally a dork. Sure. Food sounds great, I love food. I bet they have tons of great snacks, I particularly like treats. You? What do you like? I dunno, we might break something if we play something else. Unless it is newer, my Switch ... darn it, I keep forgetting. It got shot." And she slumps her shoulders, giving a moment of silence, then perks right back up. "Alright. To the food." Here she moves slower than a non-powered human, having to sort of sway her hips as she walks, more than a normal woman, and it moves her slower along with her crutch. "So, the speed. You were born with it, like the eyes, or did you steal it from some kind of weird alien creature?"

Bart Allen will walk at her speed, and even pulls a chair out for her once they get to a place to sit "Yea, a few of my friends, think I am a Dork, but they are friends with a dork, so whats worse?" He jokes a bit more with her "Oh, I like everything, I try to do a different country every day for dinner, when I am eating alone." He tells her. "I was the worlds fastest crawler." He tells her and says "Let me go put in the order." He will walk over to make a HUGE food order, and comes back with a ticket. "I got some of everything, so should be something we both like a lot amongst it."

The chair being pulled out gets a look, but Madi doesn't say anything about it specifically. She unhooks her crutch and she slings her backpack off to put down on the floor next to the chair. Then she grabs onto the chair and makes her way till she's ready to sit and sits by just flopping down somewhat ungracefully. "The dork, still, I'd say. Maybe your friends are just being sympathetic, you know, to the level of dorkiness that you are exuding at all times? I mean, why do you think I'm still talking with you?" She chides with a big wide grin still.

When you say you go to different countries for food, she kind of chews air a little bit, "Really? I have to get my uncle to fly in some cuisines from different places at times, and I know he just goes down to the various locations in New York, that's where I live, and gets me stuff from different markets. I don't tell him I know, it's still pretty sweet of him to do." Then you are off, by the time you are back, she's got 3 chocolate bars out on the table, a thing of kettle corn cheddar flavored, and a bag of salt and vinegar chips. She's eating one of the chocolate bars, nodding her head, "Okay. What's it like to go super fast? How fast can you go? Running across water, that'd take a minimum speed, that's already super fast."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods his head a bit and says "Pretty much as fast as I want to go." He tells her. He hmms, and says "If you want, you could come with me to have dinner sometime. I have a rickshaw, that I use for people who can't run as fast as I can." He blinks and says "Not saying anything, I means most people can't run as fast as I can." He sighs and thuds his head onto the table, and from forehead on the table he says "Fast enough to run up walls, but not fast enough to not eat shoe molospandex" He names a material common where he is from but is on the cutting edge of theory right now.

Not being a materials expert Madi doesn't even blink an eye with the reference. It's just as sensical as Dr Seuss, "That's cool. I mean, like, as fast as the speed of light? I'd want to go pretty fast." She indicates and then offers, "Oh, it is okay. You don't need to feel like a goober, I mean, you can, if it helps, but you don't have to do so. I can't run at all. Or walk, technically, I'm not using my legs. I'm using my hips. Gives me a good swagger. Like all the hot ladies in movies." She grins at that, and then shrugs her shoulders, "I'm me. That's great. I'm way better than most people I meet, and so, who cares? But, up walls? That's pretty fast. Over water, pretty fast." She thinks about the rickshaw idea for a moment and then hrms, quirking her mouth to the side, "Maybe. I can't swim well, so if I fell out, that'd be bad news bear." She waits a moment, biting off a few more pieces of her chocolate bar, asking, "Maybe start off with like, dinner in New York or something? My uncle freaks out sometimes if I'm not around for a few days. Not that I listen to him, but he's pretty good about finding me, tying me up and tossing me in his trunk." She chuckles and shakes her head a little bit, as she chews more chocolate.

Bart Allen looks up at her a bit surprised at her reaction and says "Oh cool, and sure, we could do New York, and any of the other places we could do it would not take but a few hours." The people bring over the first part of Bart's order which about fills the table with food. Once they have stepped away he says "I aint gone the speed of light, once you get up to speeds near that, it can get kind of iffy." He tells her as if him running that speed might actually be possible "If you ever want to feel what it is like to run at speeds, could do the whole piggy back thing, I did that for some friends, before I made the im... er Rickshaw." He grins and says "Do, you end up have to eat a real lot too?"

Madigan Belle has posed:
"You sound kind of shy. It's alright. I mean, you are like a dorky cute, for sure. Not as burly as I imagined I'd be into, but fun. You like video games, that's a big plus. And we both have red hair, sort of, not that it matters. That's silly. I like all sorts of people, even a rainbow brite alien woman. Though she turned out to be kind of a hippie." Madi comments as she's rambling on a bit, though when the food arrives it completely distracts her. She oooohs and her eyes get big and without thinking about it, she's super quickly devouring her chocolate bar, gone in a blink of an eye before she's slowing down to grab some of the food from this place. Taking a hot dog with a bunch of toppings (either because it came that way or she'll add to one) she takes a big bite of that and nods her head to the question. "Mmmmm hmmm." Though she reaches up and taps her head, "Gawt tuh powhr thuh bruhn." She is talking with a bit of food in her mouth, then she goes back to chewing.

Bart Allen smiles and will start to eat as well, but he does take time to speak between chews, something he has learned from hanging around non speedsters. "Yea the body needs it too, I burn a lot of calories." He admits. "Yea I grew up with video games all around ." He does not mention he sorta grew up in one. "Your cute too, and the movies, and video games are a huge plus." He admits "You like animals? I work at Gotham Zoo, right now, I am mostly clean up, but I am going to college for vet medicine." He tells her a bit more about himself. He does eat a bit faster than he should being around another speedster, he does let the hiding powers slip a bit.

Madigan Belle tilts her head to the side a bit and hrms, "Well, I have studied the connected phenomenon of the increased metabolic rates. It coincides with many other functions, and seems to work out in our favor." She offers in her way, as she nods her head a few times, "Sure, I like animals. I mean, kind of. I eat them." Another bite of her hot dog, and then she chews that thinking, with a smile, "I like people more than animals but I wouldn't mind being around animals. You are studying vet medicine? Is that... a thing? I guess it would have to be, I would've thought that's what zoologists do, I guess someone needs to study them kind of like nurses, right?" A pause, she quirks her mouth to the left then to the right, "I am going to Columbia University, working on my doctorate in genetics. Particularly associated genes and the implications of comorbid complications that that arise from the application of genesplicing. If we can map associated genetic traits that arise, I'm sure we can limit the number of negative traits while optimizing for more expressive positive traits." Then she stops a moment, and hmmmmms as her eyes get a bit bigger, "What's your favorite animal at the zoo?"

Bart Allen hmms and says "I go to Empire State." He tells her in reply to where he goes to school. He looks over, and says "Someone has to take care of the animals, and I eat meat too, I just like to make sure the animals were treated well before it. I mean there is this little place in gotham, they have great dumplings, but they keep the chickens there in these little cages before they cook them, and it just seems so cruel to the chickens. " He says and seems sincerely to be concerned for the chickens. "My favorite, thats a hard one, I mean Geoffy the Giraffe is fun, just introduced a friend of mine to him, but over all...probably the otters." He says taking a full ten seconds to think on that one. "So your a geneticist? I have a few friends into different sciences, but most of them are more mechanical sciences the physical sciences.

"Empire State? I met a Gwen there recently, she's also studying genetics. I think she's an undergrad." Madi offers as her bit of connection there, "I'm working with a professor there on one of my proposed ideas, for my thesis, but he didn't really seem like the brightest person. Though he's written some books, if he gets in on my project I am sure I can complete it and get my Ph.D." Madi pauses again, and chews some more, thinking for a moment, and listens about the chickens. Though she is kind of looking off toward the games as you talk about cruelty to animals, and then she comes back to the food. Grabbing up a chicken nugget type finger food, she chomps on it a bit and nods her head. "I dunno. You'd think if we could somehow make it so that the cage made the food taste worse, then it wouldn't happen. Right? Like, maybe that's why cannibals try and cajole their victims and don't really lock them up. Only human traffickers do that, and well, no one's eating them." A look to the side, and a thoughtful look up, quirking her mouth, "Well, I don't think anyone is eating them. I'm sure that some of them eventually get eaten, but not likely by other people."

And she adds, "Giraffes are rather interesting. How little they sleep, that's a nifty little trait. Yeah, I'm a geneticist. Also a chemist, really, though by trade more than schooling. I think people like being engineers and such because you can show off your work far more easily than... well, genetics."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods his head a bit and soon the food is pretty close to gone. "There will be more food, coming but we can play a couple games and have it after if you want." Seems he noticed her looking at the games. "Yea it is a lot more hey look what I made, but with chemistry you would be able to show off some things too." He offers her about that. "I would like to see a world, where both people and animals are all treated well, but we know that won't happen for at least a thousand years or so. So a PHD all ready nice, I am trying to do the school thing at normal speeds, to get the whole experience of it. One of my teachers growing up, tried to show me that knowing life at normal speed is important not just at speed. Specially since most other people aint at speed."

Madigan Belle has posed:
"Oh, sorry. It wasn't that, it was that, I really feel no compassion for animals in cages who get eaten. I mean, they are chickens." Madigan offers with a little grimace on her face, and shrugging a bit, "I just, didn't want you to hate me because I was really liking our conversation and the fact that you bought me food. And I have a really hard time hiding things, my face... right? It's like boom this, boom that." She giggles slightly and her eyebrows raise as she's thinking about her own facial expressions. "My uncle says I kind of wear my emotions on my face, and then I shove it into the eyes of others." She lets that simmer for a moment, "You sound like you are a much more considerate person than I am, is all. I'd rather lazy about playing video games one day, than you know, save the planet. I guess. Does that make me a bad person? Like, I just, can't ... bring myself to care about the 'whole' planet. I don't think you'll like me very much after you get to know me." Maybe she's even running scenarios and future predictions in her head, a million times over again. Leaning forward onto the table, she rests her chin on her hand, and quirks her mouth to the side.

Bart Allen looks to her and seems a bit surprised. "You seem like a decent person, and some of my friends, think I am sorta silly for worrying about the chickens too, so your not the first don't worry. As for saving the world, well even if you think about it from just your side, everyone should save the world, I mean thats where all our stuff is, and most of the video games come from. Plus as you said, you have not seen mush of the world. maybe if you see more of it, it might bring more meaning to it to you." He offers, looking on the bright side of things. "As for getting to know you, I would like to get to know ya more and make the decision for myself."

With that, Madi stays leaning on her hand for the moment, and then offers to Bart, "Well, you can certainly make the decision yourself. Though I am pretty good at complicated predictive modeling." There's a smile, though and she adds, "No skin off my back, not really, I mean, it could be, if you turn out to be a serial killer or something. Though that'd have it's own appeal. I mean, skinning people, it's an interesting thing. Really. Like in Shared Skins, that sci-fi horror about the people body swapping by dressing up as other people." She has a tendency to also just say whatever is on her mind, though she leans back some more and grabs some more food. Eating it a bit more slowly, more like a normal person, she offers, "In a rebuttal to your statement about the world, stuff is there, video games, etc. Now knowing that aliens exist, and have been present, with far superior technology means that there's no imperative to keep the world 'safe' in order to preserve stuff including video games. One might actually argue, we need to accelerate in our use, to better escape Earth before it is too late."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks over and says "Well most people these days know alien's exist I think. I mean look at the stuff in the super community and some of the things they have fought like the whole stealing of Bushwick." He mentions when Brainiac bottled a New York area. And I am sure with the future we will be able to go to other planets, but Earth is an important world, and I am sure as long as there are Humans or Human originated people, we will have people living on earth. As for skinning things, I think I prefer the idea of the skin walker like they did on Supernatural, where the thing shed a husk of skin, but did not skin or kill the original so it could mimic their minds."

Madigan Belle has posed:
Moving her mouth to one side, then the other, enough that her nose wiggles a bit as you talk. "Well, so long as you don't mind me being weird. And not caring as much about animals as you do." Madigan shrugs a little bit, "I'm willing to go on a date with you. You know, beyond this evening. And though, I suspect, it will not work out in the long run from the preliminary assessment I've done. I'm willing to accept the invitation to attempt since you seem so willing." Did she just assess, or read into things, or just assume? She grins a bit, "You'd have to know some ground rules though. One, my Uncle will hate you. He shouldn't know about you, so that's fine. Two, I like people. So, I'm not likely to ever be an exclusive person, even though I've never even been a non-exclusive person. It's all in an experimental state for me, lots of imagining, and not a lot of doing. Dates, you know. Well, none at all." She thinks, squinting her eyes, and then her eyes pop open and she ohs, "I also don't like, listen. To, people. For advice, you know, I just sort of try things. And if it works, great, if it doesn't, I'll learn. It's kind of worked out for me, I just get really impatient with others. They draaaaaag their feet, and I'm the one literally dragging my feet, and I -still- get annoyed."

Bart Allen smirks a bit at the last bit and says "Well, I have a bit of the last too, people say I am impulsive, but they don't realize sometimes I have thought things through, not always but it takes a lot less time for us to thing things through than others. As for a date, I think it could be fun, I have been on a couple but not a lot, so while not all new to me a lot might be. As for the whole exclusive thing, right now it would just be a date, if we want something more down the road, that would be more something to deal with then than now. And why would your uncle hate me, I am a nice guy, treat people nicely. I can even be polite to older people."

"Uh, because I'm his precious treasure." Madi mentions as if that should explain everything there is to explain about her Uncle. Then she reaches around to her backpack and pulls out her phone, she hands it over to Bart. The screen is already open to a place to send a text message, "Message yourself so I have your number and you have mine." She then offers a little bit of a shrug, "My Uncle is super protective, that's not a lie. And he's a bit... over the top. Being nice, is certainly the worst possible thing you could be. He'd understand a 'bad boy'. He would not understand a 'you'." She chuckles a bit at that, shaking her head, "I do think I should head my way to a hotel, and get some sleep. Then come back and beat any high scores you create in my time away from here."

Bart Allen smiles and says "Well, I will leave you a few you can beat." He teases a bit as he types in the message, and looks at her "You need dropped off? He offers for her to be able to get to her hotel faster. "I can get ya there and none see me if you need to hurry." He offers with a smile.
