Cast of Characters: Jovian Anderson, Lydia Dietrich

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson is trying to drink away his problems. Is this a sane thing? Not really but it will do. His ribs are finally healed from the pounding his dopple gave him the other day but the PTSD isnt and w hile he isnt scarred for life, it is messed up being in a horror dimension, magical healing daggers or no. He is on his third whiskey and slightly smashed but quite relaxed. He also likes having a famous owner in case God Knows What tries to attack him.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia isn't the type of person to really go and visit bars, but this is going to be the exception. Another book of hers got picked up by her publisher and it's time for a celebration! If it wasn't for Danny's recommendation, she would have just gone to the nearest bar she could find, which probably would have been some upper class thing in Brooklyn. But she was told that this was owned and operated by one of Danny's friends, and that's good enough for her.

She walks into the bar, and the conversation doesn't really stop as it quiets down for a moment as people check out this chick who has a phosphorescent green haze that surrounds her. She's used to this reaction, though, so it doesn't bother her. She just gives the people who are staring at her a cheery smile, and makes her way to the bar.

Sitting down on a nearby stool, she orders herself a Manhattan, and asks if Luke is around. The bartender lets her know that he's off today, and Lydia tries to hide her disappointment as her drink arrives. She holds out a card to the bartender to open up a tab, as she plans on getting quite tipsy tonight.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson nods politely to Lydia and doesnt seem bothered by the glow. He worked with super powers all the time, as secre...that isnt right. Marshal? Something in the back of his mind about those memories are starting to...bother him. As he drinks and relaxes, there is a lingering presence of...something. Something VERY dark around him, kind of like a ghost but...not entirely. It isnt freaking anyone else out but Lydia might sense it.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia's green haze seems to be attracted to Jovian, sending the occasional transparent tendril of mist out his way, as if it were curious. Lydia notices this, and gives Jovian a curious look. "Did you know that you're haunted?" she asks, taking a sip of her Manhattan.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson is a bit curious at the mist but doesnt freak out by it. He's smashed enough that not much is going to bother him. "Given my recent luck, that doesnt surprsie me in the least? Does he look like me or more like a tentacle monster?" More the latter though its VERY hazy, barely there. "Jovian, you?" He offers his hand, sipping slowly

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
"Don't know," Lydia says, taking Jovian's hand. The touch of her mist is cool and tingly, like mint. "Lydia. I can just sense ghosts when they're around. It's a byproduct of.." she waves a hand in the mists, sending eddies and whorls in it ".. this. Pleased to meet you."

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson shakes it, neither crushing nor cold fishing her. "Yeah, that makes sense. Well, I dont mind the haunting as long as nothing starts flying around the room. The two most likely candidates were really bad people. Like...REALLY bad as in actually evil. Nice to meet you as well." He raises his whiskey and salutes.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia raises her Manhattan to return the salute. "Oh?" she says, sensing good writing material here. "Who might those be?"

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson is smashed, and at this point he lowers his voice. Oddly, he feels he should be able to quiet sound though that makes NO sense whatsoever. He says again, "My evil duplicate from another dimension and the tentacled horror darkness magical symbiote that powered him to an insane degree." He finishes his whiskey and orders another

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia blinks. "That's a lot to take in. Evil duplicate from another dimension? Like in Star Trek?" She's this >< close to asking him whether or not evil him had a goatee but considering how serious he is, thinks better of it. "What happened," she asks instead.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson says, "Yup. You got it in one. Apparently some of the more powerful heroes accidently ran into it or they were coming here and nearly stopped them or didnt, it shard to tell exactly." He shrugs and considers as he sips the next whiskey, "I met him, he decided on sight he wanted to kill me, and apparently involved tkaing over my life which...isnt that much to take over" he chuckles, "so he settled for trying to kill me...I think, I'm still investigating al lthat. We fought. He fought something he couldnt handle."

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia leans forward, interested in the tale. "Where did your doppelganger come from?" she asks. "I can't imagine what kind of nastiness an evil version of me would be up to. Probably writing bad slashfic."

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson says, "I dont have all the details, but from what my law enforcement contacts can deduce, its basically a mirror of ours where some evil entity messed people up so much that even the people who were free from it werent so crazy and...then went crazy and came here. A few others have done the same thing, like She Hulk I think...I fought her, but yeah it was bad slashfic in my case."

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia cocks her head, "So the She-Hulk that trashed Times Square was an evil She-Hulk from another dimension?" This all sounds so weird when you say it out loud like that. "That makes a kind of sense, though. Everything I know about She-Hulk just didn't match up with the description of what happened."

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson says, "Its my understanding that is the case," he sips his drink and shrugs a bit blurry eyed, "Or possess or something but it certainly wasnt normal that's for sure, and yes she is good peeople"

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
"I see," Lydia says, letting an awkward silence remain between them. "Well. I'm glad that it seems to have been taken care of."

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson chuckles, "Well thanks for listening." He shrugs, "Sorry if I used you as an amature therapist, just...nice talking about it. So you see ghosts?

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson sips his whiskey seeming...more relaxed. He seems genuinely interested in listening both out of courtesy and actual curiousity.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
"No, I just sense them," Lydia explains. "Kind of like radar. Ghostdar, I guess. This..." she waves her hand through the mists again, "is ectoplasm. It's why it feels weird when you touch it. I think the ghost thing is just a side effect of being able to control it."

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson says, "How often do you...run into ghosts? I always got the impression that they were restless spirits...ie like...bad" he watches the mist with curioisity. "That is ...well, neat, better than what I make stuff out of which is...darkness...well now I'm starting to think maybe shadow"

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
"Not too often? They're around here and there," she says waving a hand lazily. "But I never really get to see them." She tilts her head as she sees how drunk Jovian is. "I think you should stop. You can barely sit in that chair. Want me to call you a cab?"

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson thumbs up, "Excellent idea. Very nice to meet you." He hands her a card, "Ping if you ever need a bounty hunter." It says "BOLO, Bounty Hunter" and uses his phone, "Preciated, but am good." He is drunk but not stumbling around drunk. He heads for the door.
