Lazy Sunday
Date of Scene: 01 March 2021
Location: Recreation Room
Synopsis: A relaxing evening turns tense as personalities clash.
Cast of Characters: Gabby Kinney, Henry McCoy, Kassandra Pagonis, Samuel Guthrie, Alexis Carr, Christian Frost, Emma Frost, James Proudstar, Piotr Rasputin

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Every now and then a nice, lazy Sunday was exactly what everyone needed. Gabby included. It'd been awhile since she's had some fun, having buckled down to try and catch up on her studies. Never having gone to any sort of official school certainly made it a challenge that she was *not* enjoying a whole lot. All the more reason for some fun!

The Rec Room had been set up through her mechanacians to have the TV set to some ball game of some sort for those who liked, though it was muted. There was music on, also not too loud so that conversation could be had easily. Then to top it off she'd set up a little 'school appropriate' bar with a myriad of drinks, including several non-alocholic beers and mixed drinks that would be okay for kids to have. She being one herself. Of course there was also some pizza, and cupcakes, and oddly enough a tray of churros she'd had ordered in.

The rest? Well, it was how it was. It was still early in the evening and she was perched on a chair going through a rather vast array of nail polish picking out what color she was going to add to her nubs of fingernails now while humming to herself.

Henry McCoy has posed:
Popcorn, check. White cheddar seasoning, check. Bad 80s DVD in hand, check. Henry makes his way to the rec room, humming to himself. His sharp nose picks up the scent of the nail polish - twitching a bit. Surprising to Henry, is who is applying it. "Hello Gabby!" The man offers with a grin. "Mind me popping in a movie? I was hoping to unwind with one of my favorite flicks."

The DVD is lifted, the man chuckling. "Big Trouble in Little China." He explans. "A rollicking adventure set in San Francisco, Chinatown." The man beams. "I'll share my popcorn."

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
The new kid, Kassandra Pagonis, had spent most of the day in her newly-christened room, exploring the little nooks and crannies that came with every new room, finding places to hide things, finding things that had been hidden by previous tenants and leaving them in the hall trashcan to be discovered by the curious or thrown away on the clean up schedule, and generally getting used to the place that she was going to call home. Monday was supposed to be a sit down with the namesake of the school which, in all honesty, scared the crap out of her, but now it's Sunday and there's exploring to be done.

Some places she knows not to go, but other places, places that look more well-trod by sneakers and students, are, which leads her to the rec room and it's smell of ethyl acetate and butter-flavored topping. Kassandra peers into the room from the doorway and, to her credit, boldly steps inside, her soft shoes making almost no noise on the floor as she comes in. "Is it a kung-fu movie?" she asks, having heard the last of Henry's comment on what he's bringing to the table. "I haven't seen it before...I mostly stick to Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen....oh, and Bruce Lee, of course."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie comes walking in with Allegra. He has stopped by the store, to grab some colas. He even broke out one of the two litter cheerwine he has sent from home. "Not sure what the movie will be tonight hon, but usually it is something interesting. Heck one of the movie nights when Ah first got here it was the first time, I had ever saw Rocky Horror Picture Show." He comments thinking a bit about the talent show.

Alexis Carr has posed:
"... what in Heaven's name is Rocky Horror Picture Show?" Allegra inquires as she comes through. She's been getting more used to using her actual name around the mansion -- no one seems to care that she's a former hate-spewing anti-mutant artist, what now that she can sling fireballs and is dating Sam Guthrie.

Christian Frost has posed:
Day six of sobriety. Christian had been trying to distract himself any way he could, he decided to get to the Rex room to see if there was anything there he could occupy his time with.

He had started seeing everything as drugs, and drug related. The torture was unbearable, but he took his hip flask, freshly filled, and tucked it into his pants.

He dragged Emma along, because why not? Misery loves company. "Come on, if I can't get my PCP on, I wanna do SOMETHING. I forgot how much boarding schools..." By that point, he had realized there were more people on the room. "Can be fun!" Nope, not at all what he was going to say. But the blonde haired man didn't care. Besides, he wasn't lying. Compared to the party scene, Xavier's was...Mayberry.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney glances up from her work of caaarefully painting her thumbnail a rather nice shade of lavender to grin at the familiar fuzzy blue doctor. "Of course! I just put the game on in case Logan came in or something," she admits with a shrug of vague indifference as to the television offerings. "I still think he's not used to me being around." Or calling him 'dad' as she'd found out the hard way. Eep.

As others begin to meander in as well she grins toward the familiar and unfamiliar faces alike. "Hey! Grab a seat and something to eat. I got pizza and there's drinks," she offers gesturing to the buffet tables along the wall that were likely antiques and probably should have coasters on them for the drinks. Oops.

"Alexis!" She chirps in recognition of Allegra with a bright grin. "I haven't seen you since Emma--" And speak of the devil. "Oh there she is. Hi! I've got mocktails and pizza!"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma steps in behind Christian, her hair up in a loose pony tail as she's staying in the mansion on a Sunday night, not really anyone here she wants to impress or waste 2 hours of getting dressed on. Emma's icy blue eyes are locked onto her phone as she follows behind Christian,

Uh huh. Yeah. This place sucks fierce, nothing to do, uh huh." She's not really listening to his complaints at this point as she is busying doing the instagram thing.

Just in the doorway, Emma lifts her phone, pushes her shoulders back, tilts her head and turns to put the rec room in the back of the shot and she takes a few quick shots of her and the kids around in the back.

Emma moves around the couch still on her phone and finds a spot empty and curls on up it, tucking her feet up under herself.

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
Oooh, pizza. Pizza is always friendly, no matter what people say about pineapple and ham. Glancing at the gathering throng, Kassandra migrates slowly towards the boxes, opening each one to peer at what's on tap before selecting a simple Meat Lover's slice, pulling it out along with a plain pepperoni on to one of the plates that were laid out for such things. While the furniture might be antiques, at least the plates were paper and disposable. "Thanks for the pizza. I hadn't had anything for...at least hours." Kassandra's stomach growls as she gives it a reassuring pat, snagging a bottle of root beer from the credenza and migrating towards the TV and Henry - the only person she really knows in this place. Well, Henry and Sam. The rest of the people? No clue. None at all.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie smiles and will move to add the drinks he brought to the refreshments. He looks over to Alexis "You have never seen Rocky Horror Picture Show? I figured that would have been one of the ones someone would have snuck in. It is a cult classic musical, and our good Dr. McCoy can pull off a very well done Frank-N-Furter when he puts his mind to it."

Henry McCoy has posed:
So many people! It is a common area, after all. Henry grins to Gabby. "Excellent. I've got plenty of cheddar popcorn to share as well." The big bowl is set down on the table in front of the sofas. The movie is placed in the player, a grin offered over to Kassandra. "Evening, Kassandra. Have you met everyone?"

"The movie does have Kung Fu, as well as magic, friendship and demons." The man chuckles, making sure everything is queued up for an enjoyable evening. He waves to everyone else, smiling warmly. "Everyone comfy?" He laughs at Sam's comment about his performance. "I fear that will be one for the record books, Sam."

Alexis Carr has posed:
"I'm afraid I'm not particularly well versed with pop culture in /all/ fascets, Sam..." Allegra pauses a moment, and she brightens up as Gabby calls out her name.

"Hello there, Trouble." she replies with a grin and offers a very trusting fist-bump to the younger Kinney. "Keeping out of the deep end of the pool?" she gives a grin -- and then Emma steps in.

She pauses a moment, looking to the Frosts. Her arms cross a moment as she observes Christian, and then she gives a disapproving look to him, and turns her gaze to Emma with a curious expression, and then gives a smile to Kassandra.

    Hello! You're a new face."

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
Kassandra Pagonis is a new face! Probably the first time she's been seen by most of the people around here. Sure, there were rumors of a new student bouncing around the halls, but no-one had really investigated just yet but, thanks to Henry's prompting, she puts down her pizza (soon, pizza, soon!), wipes her hands, and gives everyone a small smile and a wave. "I actually haven't met everyone. Out of the people in the room, I know you and I know Sam, and I only know him 'cause he brought me dinner when he was on duty in the infirmary one night. So....nice to meet everyone. I'm Kassandra. Or Kassie. Or 'hey, you.' in a pinch."

Emma Frost has posed:
Seated at the far end of the couch and focused on her own personal screen, Emma seems to be kind of here in body only, but she is a known telepath of great power, maybe she's listening to not only all the conversations, but also the thoughts.

A brief moment away from her phone, Emma lifts her hand just above her chest and wiggles her fingers towards Alexis and gives a wink to her friend before looking back down to her phone and listening more intently, though she lifts her head towards Hank and squints softly, curious what movie he's going to make them watch, but, again, she remains silent and simply observes.

Christian Frost has posed:
Christian gives Allegra a look as well, before commenting. "If you keep that face up, it'll get stuck that way, -sweetie-. Only Judy may judge me. " That sweetie quite pointed and not at all complimentary.

This had been before he noticed Gabby doing her nails, and checking out the color. "That's a good one, goes with your skin tone." That compliment was very genuine though. "Ooh! Rocky Horror, yes. So many memories...in the theater, the theater bathroom, the shitty stage they put up in the theater..." He lets out a satisfied sigh before he looks over to the pizza offered, mmm, greasy and satisfying. He takes a slice to go right to his thighs, but life was too short.

James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar ducks under the doorway. His dark lustrous hair pulled back in a pony tail. He scans the room easily. "Hank, I hope we arent vilifying demons again?" He chuckles good naturedly and heads for the pizza.

Alexis Carr has posed:
Allegra gives a sweet smile to Christian Frost.

"Well I can certainly see that Emma inherited not only the grace but all the class in the family." she states to the boy, crossing her arms as she looks up at him up and down and gives a sniff.

"You must have been the leftover." she states, dismissing him out of hand as she gives a smile to Kassandra.

"Allegra, a pleasure to meet your acquaintence, Kassandra. Been here long?" she questions.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie will get himself and Allegra pizza. He looks back over and raises a brow at the "conversation" between Allegra, and Christian. He will move to stand beside Allegra, seems Sam knows which side his bread is buttered on. "Got us a few different types between the two plates hon." He nods to Kassandra "So getting real food full time now, Kass?" He asks her with a smile. Trying to stir the conversation more between Allegra and Kass, than Allegra and Christian perhaps.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney reaches up to fist-dap Allegra without a bit of hesitation. She was in good spirits after all: A nice evening in with friends and new faces alike was always good. Seeing old friends as great as well. "Yeah, they got me stuck on this 'book learning' thing now so I've been trying to work on it." Pulling a face and sticking her tongue out she makes her thoughts known on it. "So I sold one of my Givenchy dresses and bought a bunch of snacks for tonight. Still got plenty left over, too!" She's rather cheery about that fact. Nevermind how she got a Givenchy dress.

Christian's compliment earns a bright beaming grin from her that crinkles the scars on her face. "Thanks! There's plenty here if you want to try some too. I don't do my nails often," she admits wiggling the little fingers in indication. "They grow too fast and I have to keep cutting them down."

Seeming to realize there are introductions being made she chirps up with, "Hi! I'm Gabby Kinney!"

Henry McCoy has posed:
The Beast blinks, looking sheepish. "Ah, everyone - this is young miss Kassandra Pagonis. We were fortunate enough to free her from some rather dastardly people." 'nuff said about that! "She's currently our guest, pending a visit with Jean and the Professor. I'm hoping we can acclimate her to the school, and help her better learn her innate talents."

A smile then to Kassandra, nodding to Emma. "Miss Frost was instrumental in your rescue." He explains. A nod, then he starts up the movie, Big Trouble in Little China.

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
Kassandra's pizza has been taken a bite of - one of them mostly gone already, the other having two large bites taken out of the new-york style slice, and she's claimed a spot on the couch where she can both see the TV and scoot for an exit if things get too overwhelming for her which, considering she's the newest one here, is a distinct possibility. Questions coming from all over, so she does her best to answer them all. "No..." she swallows, turning to Allegra. "No, not long. I was only moved out of the infirmary Friday and I'm in one of the rooms now so....fairly new." Then, to Sam, one of the faces she recognizes, she nods. "Oh yeah, something a little more unhealthy than the stuff they were feeding me downstairs but, given what I was eating before, anything's better'n that." She takes another bite, peering over at Gabby, giving her a wave. "Hi there." she says with a smile and a bob of her head. "thanks for the pizza." Then, to Miss Frost who sits curled up in a chair over there thataway, she offers a wave. "Thanks for helping me. Hope I didn't freak you out too much."

     Freak out Emma Frost?

Christian Frost has posed:
"As opposed to you, who seem to have neither class, or fashion sense? Hah! And to think I was about to give you the number of a good stylist. But those ends can stay split, no no...DIVORCED, honey. Cause that mop is THIRSTY baby."

Three snaps in a z formation later, Christian turns his attention to Gabby. "Oh, I haven't done this in ages! Got anything with glitter?" He asks, very much chipper and not bitchy like he was a second ago. "Ooh, I like this one." He says, holding the bottle of polish next to his hand. "Hmm, maybe...ahh, yes! White gold, ooh, I like it. And my favorite precious metal!"

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Hearing the crowd in the rec room, Piotr pauses and opens the door to look inside for a moment to see what is up. Then he steps inside and offers a polite smile to the gathered. "Hello...did I miss the invitation to the party?" he wonders to noone in particular. "It would seem as much." he says with a smile.

Alexis Carr has posed:
"You call that a cutting remark? Go back to your credit cards and mirrors." Allegra states vaguely in Christian's direction.

"I doubt much could freak out Emma. She's a fairly unflappable young woman, very capable -- oh! Thank you, Sam!" Allegra gives a smile up to the Kentucky Flying Cannonball, and happily curls her slice like a proper New Yorker, and nips at the end.

James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar collects some pizza and looks around catching some new faces, some old but all the scents are familiar. He nods to himself and then sees Piotr offering the other big man a fist bump. "No invitation Piotr. Just a scrum."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Glitter? Oh no, no, you gotta do *holo*," Gabby gushes as she digs through the rather vast collection of nail polish to pull out a topcoat that was iridescent and shifted a multitude of colors in the light. In spite of all the nattering going on she was quite happy to have someone interested in this with her. It wasn't often she did things like this. Usually it more involved sharpies.

"I wouldn't worry about 'freaking out' anyone around here, Kassandra. I usually beat everyone on that," she adds matter-of-fact as if she weren't currently sitting cross legged in a chair sharing nail polishes. "Everyone's welcome! Just save me some churros." Indeed there was a plate of those along with several boxes of various pizzas.

Emma Frost has posed:
People are talking about her, Emma looks up from her phone, and uncurls her feet so they rest on the floor. A look to Hank. "You don't have to remind people about me, I appreciate it, but it's nice to be the unknown hero from time to time..." Then a mental message to only Hank. <<Plus I was stoned to high heaven that night.>>

Emma stands up slowly and puts her phone down on the spot she was seated at, the armrest, as she's going to be back later. Stepping between Alexis and Christian, "You two, stop embarrasing me before you both regret it." Emma notes casually, almost as if she meant it and then stepping over to Kassandra, she extends a perfectly manicured hand, "Nice to meet you, Emma Frost."

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
The last thing Kassandra wants to do is get into a contest on who can freak who out. At least, not when pizza and movies are taking place. Hurridly finishing her bite, Kassandra quickly wipes her hands on her napkin before taking the offered hand from Emma. "Yes'm Miss Frost, it's good to meet you. Thanks for helpin' out gettin' me out of the situation I was in." Her Texan accent comes and goes fairly regularly from what can be heard. She leans over to peer at Gabby's assortment of colors, looking from her to Christian. "You should really get a tackle box for those."

Christian Frost has posed:
Christian's gaze turns to Allegra again. "Oh, you ready for round two? You think brining up coke bumps is going to shame me? I have no shame." Christian made himself familiar with the holo polishes. <<Now, shut the fuck up and play nice in front of the kids before I lobotomize you, and get Gabby here to braid that dry-ass hair, cunt.>>

"Oh, I love this holo polish, gawd, we are gonna be gorgeous tonight!" The area around Christian starts to feel devoid of happy emotion, a part of his power that he couldn't control, neigh, didn't even know he had. The energy just feels...devoid of happy.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
"Well I suppose I shall join in on the welcome then." Piotr says with a smile as he glances from the group to the gathered new person, Kassandra. He however does not wish to overwhelm the poor girl and so just offers a light wave from the background, "Hello." he says and then goes about inspecting what might be the provided meals for some sort of snack. "Mmmm. Interesting choice." he says as he considers a churro.

The large russian certainly can eat his share of food and yet, he seems a bit careful tonight to make sure everyone will have plenty, taking only a single churro to have a bite of in the moment.

Alexis Carr has posed:
Allegra raises an eyebrow to Christian, and then turns to Sam. "I do beleive, love, that I've worn out my welcome. I've got work in the morning, besides." she gives a smile to Sam, going up to her tip-toes to kiss him on the cheek, raises her piece of pizza to Gabby in a toast, and goes to make an exit, stage left.

Henry McCoy has posed:
Big Trouble in Little China is playing on thetelevision. "Emma, you did a good thing. I will laud it, as it generally is my way." He grins to the woman. <<You did a good deed, Emma. Accept the compliment, she's been through a lot.>> Henry responds to Emma, nodding to the woman. A smile to Kassandra, his grin all but infectious. "Eat, relax, be at ease. We've all been in your shoes, when we were younger." I mean, not Gabby. Cause, she's young still!

He glances over to Christian and Gabby as they decorate the nails.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie blinks and frowns as Allegra stars to leave, he kisses her cheek in return, giving her a hug, and then turns to Christian "Dude, what the hell, I give ya a ride into town and we seem good, then you go off on my girl friend on first sight?" He does not look happy.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney glances up a moment with a particularily confused look on her face as a myriad of emotions wash over her and... fade. But she gives a little shake of her head brushing it off as her imagination. Maybe it was just the tension in the air. "Why are those two hating on each other? They used to be really close friends." Or employer and employee at least. Either way she grins a bit more as she waves to those leaving, and arriving alike.

"What's a tackle box?" Is the obvious questions he asks of Kassandra before she lifts her head to grin again at Christian. "I think you've got me beat on looking fabulous. You're so pretty!" It's okay to tell a guy that, right? Right.

James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar frowns as the scents in the room shift souring. James shakes his head, looking about a little curiously and then frowns as Allegra leaves and Sam seems visibly upset.

Christian Frost has posed:
"Sammy, she started it. I didn't even know her name, then she gave me that judgy demeaning look. I'm not the kinda fa-" WHOOPS. "guy that's going to lie down and allow that to happen to me. My self esteem is not that low." Christian's face melts just a little as Gabby compliments him like that. "Oh. My. God. Thank you! I haven't had the best week of my life and that just made it so much better." He speaks a bit effeminately, but that was just his way. "I may be fabulous, but so are you, don't -ever- let people bring you down, sis! Just be you." She may not understand what he means, but he did at least try to be more positive around the students. With Allegra's departure, the astral energy had started to normalize again, the happy in the area coming back.

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
"A tackle box is, like, a box with a handle, and a flip-top lid, about yay big." Kassandra does her best to use her hands to make a box about three by one by one. "It's usually used for fishin' gear, but b'fore I got here, I had my makeup in one. All you need in one spot an' you can accidentally dump it over and not have everything spill everywhere, 'cause when you have brothers, that happened a lot." She settles in with her pizza to watch the movie, the rock soundtrack heralding Jack Burton's appearance on screen.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma takes her hand back from Kassandra, not having gotten the girl's name from her own mouth, something the White Queen will take note of, but she doesn't mention it. "Just, keep your nose clean around here." Emma warns passively as she turns on her heel and moves away from Alexis and Christian and Sam, having a 'discussion' though the wave of empathic energies doesn't go unnoticed by the telepath and it gives her pause.

Emma moves back to her spot on the couch and picks up her phone, forgoing food for now as she sits against the arm and looks to Henry and shakes her head. "Are we watching another of your old ass movies?" She then sticks her tongue out, yeah, she's being a bit playful.

Henry McCoy has posed:
Feeling the tension bristling, Henry stands up a bit straighter. "Gentlemen. Please - can we work this out in a civil fashion, yes? We are hosts." He intones, voice deep and carrying. "We're a family, of sorts. We need to be better to one another." Unity! It's a big thing for Hank, obviously.

That said, he moves over to grab some popcorn and settle onto the sofa as well. "It's not old, nor is it ass Emma." He sticks his tongue out in rebuttal, so mature. A grin over to James. "It ... doesn't paint a good picture of demons, no." He chuckles.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks to Christian and says "She didn't say anything till you did, if you can't stand for someone to look at you and not like you or approve of you, then you need to grow some thicker skin. There are people here and out there, who will do a lot more than just look at you." He turns, and says "Thanks for the Food Gabby, maybe we can do a movie some other time." He turns to leave and catch up with Alexis.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney takes in the description of a tackle box with a studious, interested expression. "That would help a lot. Most of my makeup is just out on my dresser and I keep misplacing things. I don't have to worry about brothers at least...." She trails off there stopping herself from talking about sisters instead. That always made people just a bit sad and given the tension in the room she was trying not to add to it.

As far as Christian's remark, she re-caps her nail polish to set aside. Then without hesitation and unless someone stops her she leans forward to wrap her arms around him in a hug. "I hope your day gets better then! Crappy days suck. But I'm here if you ever need!" Nevermind she barely knew who he was--they were bonding dangit.

Hank's mention of being a host does cause her pause and she looks around. "Does anyone else need a hug too? I'm good at giving them!"

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr Rasputin blinks a moment and looks around for a moment as the tension builds and someone leaves. He pauses the bite of his churro, but he doesn't interject, not yet, not knowing precisely what is going on or why. He just sort of takes a casual step towards Hank, because Hank is a genius and therefore can fix everything.

Christian Frost has posed:
"Oh, you don't have to tell me about what people will do. I have seen it, and experienced it, lived it, for six years of my life, Sammy! I lived on the streets, I got beaten up for being a faggot. And worse." It broke his heart to be having this conversation in front of Gabby, who was just so sweet she was going to give him diabetes.

"Oh thank you, Gabby. I'm gonna remember that if they don't kick me out first." He took his shirt collar to dab his eyes, the roller coaster of emotion was just...a lot on top of going through withdrawals from many drugs. "Yes. It keeps all your polishes and makeups all organized, and it's going to be your best friend!" He sniffles just a bit, and smiling back to Gabby.

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
"Yes'm. I'll do that. Thank you, ma'am." Kassandra is quiet, watching Emma move away before she turns her attention back to Gabby. "I've got to go shopping with Paige at some point." Kassandra says to Gabby once Emma has retaken her seat. "I'll see if I can't grab you one while I'm out." The tension in the room....she's seeing if she can't just ignore it. Everyone else seems to.

James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar nods and smiles at Pete, "Good seeing you Piotr. Thanks, Hank, Gabby, nice meeting you Kassandra." He opens the door for Sam, "It just seems like we're having a shithead problem."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma takes a deep breath as things seem to be passing, she is about to set her phone down, and now, now she has to.

The woman is composed, the blonde has that powerful stare that she had to master to deal with a 'man's world' and not only bend it to her will, but to thrive in that world. Emma is no stranger to being the strongest will and the most convincing mind in the room, without the use of her mutation.

"James. Apologize." The woman demands, stepping up to the man that's nearly three, likely four times her size, and yet her presence is that of an other worldly figure. "We are all going through things right now, talking to a stranger, invited into this place to better themselves, going through a rough moment and calling them names. No. I will not stand it. I expect better of you."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Thta's one cheered up! Gabby was unfortunately not able to do all the hugs which were apparently necessary tonight. Even so she grins, and lets out a little laugh. The talk of being beat up and other things doesn't seem to phase her. "The past sucks. Mostly. But you're here, now, and that means things will be better. Though I can't help with withdrawals or stuff like that," she has to admit absently as she considers things. "Maybe tea? I mean. I dunno they always suggest tea when I'm upset. I think I prefer grilled steak though."

With that she sits up again and claps her hands together. "Okay! So! Who wants a pina colada? I mean not a legit one but it's tasty and I've got the little umbrellas and everything," she assures as if this were a very important detail that should not be forgotten.

"That'd be great, Kassandra! Thanks! My sisters don't really like the whole shopping thing. Nevermind da--My parental figure." Almost slipped there. Her eyes flit over to Emma at that along with a cringe. She wiggles off from her seat to the blender rather quickly. "Yeah drinks. Drinks are good." Maybe she could drown out the confrontation with the blender?

James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar meets Emma's gaze easily, his voice is level and its not directed to her.

"Hank, did Christian apologize to Noriko and Jubilee.?"

Christian Frost has posed:
Christian's eye turns to James Proudstar and a flash of orange shines his way. An astral blast hitting the tall man, stripping hope and happiness away and leaving dreadful fear.

With the emotions so high, he couldn't help himself. He didn't realize what he had done before he shakes his head sharply, his eyes going back to normal. Suddenly, he wasn't feeling very great. He felt ill.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
"Maybe we should all just take the temperature down a notch." Piotr says finally stepping forward. The large russian strongman begins, "We have plenty of enemies around us without the need to be fighting among ourselves." he reminds them all with the practiced voice of someone that isn't a natural teacher but has worked at it here. "Is this what we want a newcomer to think we are?" he begins.

He steps forward and tries to get between the gathered Children of the Atom. "We are better than this, all of us." he says looking not just to James but also then to Christian and Emma. Bold, but assertive.

Henry McCoy has posed:
Another frown from Henry as everything starts unraveling. "Ladies. Gentlement. Please." He says, his voice raising as it would in a classroom. "I haven't the foggiest on what every one is so up in arms about, and I am not one to detract from another's feelings. But please, for the sake of continued peace, can we all set aside our anger and just... watch a movie? Please?"

He does glance over to Kassandra. "Apologies. We... all live very different and challenging lives, so we often disagree. Please don't take it the wrong way. Much like every other family, we have our spats." A smile to the young woman.

James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar says, "No Hank, we cant! Just line the white man they want peace but give only war. Should of ripped this pksce apart when I had the chance. Youre all worthless."

James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar walks through the door and slam's with enough force to crack it. Hes go e down the hall before anyone can react

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
*munch munch munch* Kassandra eats her pizza, watching the slowly simmering conflict from her spot on the couch while on the screen Wang Chi loses a game of pai gow to Jack and nearly knocks him out with a beer bottle. "Hey um..." She swallows her pizza. "It's late, yeah? Whatever issues y'all have with each other, can you take it outside where you ain't gonna break stuff? My ma never liked it much when my brothers fought in the house and I'd bet there's rules like that here, too." She looks to Gabby. "You need help with makin' those drinks?"

Henry McCoy has posed:
Looking as confused as anyone else might be - Henry frowns. "Dear lord." He offers an apologetic nod and smile to the others. "Enjoy the movie, all. I will be back after I track down James."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney takes a deep breath which she lets out slowly. A quick nod is given to Kassandra along with a thankful smile. "Yeah, thanks. I was hoping the blender would quiet things down, but..." A small shake of her head comes. At least it seemed the parties that the tension was between had split. Lifting a few glasses she sets them on the countertop. "Here, help me hand these out," she suggests as she plucks up the blender full of frothy white concoction.

More seriously she asks of those left in the room, "Is everyone okay? Like for reals. We can talk about things if anyone needs. Or just, you know. Something."

Christian Frost has posed:
Christian runs over to the closest garbage can and gets sick, tucking his face in there for at least ten seconds.

He picks his head up out of the trash can and sighs. "I'm sorry everyone." Picking it up and starting to head to the exit. "Seems I fucked this up too. Now...fuck."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma lowers her hand, and watches James leave, and then looks over to Gabby as Hank goes storming past her. She should feel guilt, but, there's not a whole lot within the White Queen. She steps back to the couch to pick up her phone and sighs, as she moves to Gabby and Christian as well as Kassandra, and then lastly Piotr, "I'll sneak some real liquor in here, you could use some." Emma teases to Gabby as she walks past and pats Piotr's shoulder as she moves past. "Good work." And with that, she's gone too.

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
Kassandra Pagonis passes out drinks and, well....sinks down on to the couch, holding her virgin pina colada in both hands. "Well...." she says, taking a sip. "Beats being drugged and strapped to a table by a lot."

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
Piotr Rasputin lets out a low exhale as Emma steps past as well and he just sort of nods and looks around at everyone left with a hint of apology in his features.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney sighs quietly herself. Christian getting sick makes her wince in sympathy until Emma follows her brother out. Her own drink is glance down at, and she nods sullenly. "Yeah. I just wanted to have a nice night." A deep breath is drawn, and exhaled, before she glances with a wry grin at Kassandra. "You too, huh? Trust me that is never good. But you're not alone there. Lots of us have been through similar. So if you ever need to talk..." She gives a little shrug at the offer made.

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
Kassandra nods and shifts on her seat a little, peering down into the basket of nail polishes, using a fingertip to move the bottles to and fro. "You mind if I borrow one of these? I haven't had my nails done in ages..." She's trying to get her mind off what just happened, the fun mood of the movie night and nails kind of going away.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
"Ok, I think you all have a good evening." Piotr says with a shake of his head and then a smile to Kassandra, "It is good to have you here, I hope you find it....more peaceful." he says with a solemn nod and then turns to head on his way as well.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney smiles at Kassandra with a quick nod. "Oh sure! Help yourself. I've got tons. I don't really have many hobbies so I just buy any nail polish that's a nice color I like. I've got plenty." A glance is cast toward Piotr and she opts for a mock pout. "Not gonna do your nails with us?" She's teasing though, and grins. "Thanks for stopping by. Sorry it's... uh. What it is," she reasons with a shrug.
