Date of Scene: 02 March 2021
Location: Recreation Room
Synopsis: I mean, some of the movie got watched! With a surprise visit from an Avenger!
Cast of Characters: Henry McCoy, Emma Frost, Gabby Kinney, Kassandra Pagonis, Bruce Banner

Henry McCoy has posed:
No, really - Henry was going to watch his damn movie! No fights, no kittens, no disruptions. He's got a bowl of popcorn, all the white cheddar seasoning as well! He sits down on the sofa, almost grumpily - eyes darting to and fro, almost daring someone to mess this up. When it looks like the coast is clear, he unwinds a little and starts the DVD.

The music kicks in, and he's grinning just a bit. He really did like this movie! A bit of popcorn, and Hank is right as rain as everything settles in.

Emma Frost has posed:
Just as the movie begins the door cracks open, and a singluar foot shuffles in and suddenly.

    *SNEEZE*

Emma snaps her head forward, her hand goes up to her nose and her hair falls around her face. "Crud." The woman grumbles to herself as she doesn't stop with the simple sneeze, she's going to continue into the rec room and "Did you put cheddar on that popcorn?" She asks, looking over Hank's shoulder and down into the bowl, her face purposefully, or prepetually unreadable as she stares into the movie snack.

Henry McCoy has posed:
The sneeze startles him a bit, the man looking over at the source. Henry cants his head to the side, regarding her. "Not coming down with a cold, are you Emma?" He asks, looking then to his bowl of popcorn. "Yes, white cheddar. Are you allergic to cheese?" Two plus two equals seventeen, after all - logic jumps the wrong way just as often as not.

There's a bit of flush to his features, with her so close. "Care to join me in this John Carpenter classic viewing?" A wry grin to the woman, clearly not concerned over contagion.

Emma Frost has posed:
"No, no cold, and no I'm not allergic to cheddar." Emma says, rubbing at her nose as if something irritating her. The blonde moves over to the sink and runs some water over her hand and then rubs at her nose before stepping back and sitting next to Hank with intent.

"Lets get this crapfest over with." Emma says as she sits and reaches to grab some of Hank's popcorn.

Henry McCoy has posed:
He does watch her, eyes on how she moves. "Not... doing inappropriate things, are you Emma?" He asks, more so in a concerned way than any sort of judgement. As she settles in and reaches for some popcorn, he adjusts the bowl to be closer to her. Easy access!

His eyes feign shock. "Crap fest? This, my dear lady, is one of the finest pieces of cinema ever made. It has all the pieces of a saga of epic proportions, Emma. Action, magic, destiny, kung fu, comedic timing and romance." A sage nod. "Have you never heard of the epic battle between Jack Burton and the forces of David Lo Pan and the Three Storms?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma's nose red from being rubbed is aimed at Hank. "I'm not doing that in the school, Hank." Emma notes with a stern look that could kill, given the proper nudge by the proper telepath. The woman crosses her arms and squints briefly, intensifying her look, but resets, "No, I don't know why I'm getting stuffy." The woman replies with a shrug but then reaches over and grabs some popcorn and eats a few kernals.

"Hank, none of that sounds like it's anything like a 'saga of epic proportions... And no, I've never heard of Jack David." Is she making mistakes on purpose?"

Henry McCoy has posed:
He's properly scolded, the man nodding to her. "There was a kitten in here earlier?" Henry comments, grinning a bit. "If you're feeling ill tomorrow, let me know. I am not techincally an M.D. but... you know." A shrug. He's performed brain surgery, for crying out loud! He takes up a handful of the popcorn himself, munching a bit.

A shake of his head. "Ye of little faith. Watch, and become enamoured of the dashing luck of Jack Burton."

Emma Frost has posed:
"I thought... animals weren't..." Emma sighs to herself and then presses her fingers to the bridge of her nose which then sniffles. "F**k." She moans.

Emma looks back at Hank, her eyes starting to water, but she doesn't seem to be in pain. "Y'know... this sucks." The woman says, as she shifts into her diamond form and seems like she's going to struggle through not being able to breath by simply not having to breath. The couch does sink in deeply when she shifts, straining under her sudden weight and she rolls her crystalline eyes. "Fine fine. I'll watch." She says, arms clinking as she crosses them under her chest.

Henry McCoy has posed:
A nod of his head. "Allergic to felines, then?" He guesses, looking to his arm. "At least I don't have that affect on you." Henry gives her a cheeky grin. As she shifts, he gives a smirk. "Hard for an allergen to take hold on diamond, I am sure." A wink. A pause. "Can you still enjoy popcorn like that, Emma?" He wonders, curious now.

The movie plays on, showing Jack gambling with his friends.

Emma Frost has posed:
"Nope. No feeling at all." Emma notes with a look over to Hank before she looks back to the screen. "No tastebuds. Or, not working." She sticks out her tongue and holds her mouth open wide. No nerves at all." Emma says with a shrug of her multimillion dollar shoulders. "The things we do for wealth Hank. The things we do." She says, looking back to the screen and no longer wanting to devour the popcorn. Or at least she respects that it would be wasted on her.

Henry McCoy has posed:
That earns a huh from Hank. "Interesting. It makes logical sense, but still." A grin. "And things we do for wealth?" He looks a bit lost on that, relaxing a bit more as the movie plays on. If she's not going to eat the popcorn, he sure is.

The movie goes on for a bit. "Everything going all right for you, Emma? Settling in well with the group?" He's not mentioning last night, nope!

Emma Frost has posed:
"I don't think so, I feel like, like bringing my brother has put a strain on the already strained relationships I have with everyone here..." Emma says rather honestly with a frown and without looking away from the TV, afraid to make eye contact with Hank as she starts to take a deep breath, stops when she realizes she doesn't have to breath.

"I don't know what I'm doing here Hank."

Henry McCoy has posed:
There's a nod of understanding from the blue man. "Well, the best I can offer is for you to breathe." Henry comments, quietly. "Just, breathe. You are on a road to recovery of sorts, and your brother most certainly is. There are going to be bumps and setbacks." He nudges her shoulder with his.

"You're resetting your world views and working on change internally. No one expects it to be easy, or flawness. And if they do? Then they are insane." A sage nod. "What happened last night... I don't understand, honestly. I don't know all the factors." A slight shrug. "I can only hope we can work on a remedy for any hurt feelings or disagreements."

Emma Frost has posed:
"I am not even sure what happened last night myself..." Emma says actually sighing but no wind escapes her diamond lips. "A remedy for things like that, ... that would make this place even softer than it is." Emma winks playfully towards Hank, bumping her elbow against his side with a smirk before she focuses fully on the movie now.

Henry McCoy has posed:
There's a slight chuckle. "We are far less soft than most would think, Emma." He winks, oofing at the bump playfully. "Compassion is not a weakness, I promise. No matter... how dark it gets, personally or as a group, we know we can rely on one another." Henry muses.

The movie has rolled into the introduction of the three Storms, where magic Kung Fu happens!

Emma Frost has posed:
"I didn't say it was, but ... I didn't say it wasn't either." Emma says, looking back to Hank and then stuffing her crystal like hand into the bowl and just kind of fiddling around in it idly. She wants to take a bite, but ... there's no point, and she doesn't want to have to deal with the kittysniffles anyways. So she's doing it for the mental stimulation. No reason beyond that.

Henry McCoy has posed:
Henry and Emma are sitting on the sofa, testing the sturdyness of it! NOT LIKE THAT! Henry weighs four hundred pounds, and Emma is currently in her sparkling diamond form. There's a bowl of popcorn being shared, though Emma is just idly stirring it with her hand. "Fair." He comments to something Emma had mentioned.

The movie from last night was playing, moving along in the wacky plot hijinks of John Carpenter's vision. Right now, they were invading Lo Pan's business. Henry is grinning happily, getting his movie time in!

Gabby Kinney has posed:
In spite of a bevy of snacks earlier in the form of delicious cake, Gabby had found herself with a bag of shrimp chips in hand as she makes her way to the rec room. There's a soda in the other hand but she manages to still crunch on the delicious shrimpy saltiness that was hard to describe between sips of the fizzy beverage. Cautiously she peers within to ascertain the safety of the place... but the familiar blue figure of Hank here deems it such. Even if she doesn't immediately recognize Emma in diamond form from her point of view.

"Trying the movie again?" She asks cheerily while venturing further inside to find a seat to plop down into with that boneless sort of grace granted only to teenagers and those that can heal on cue.

Emma Frost has posed:
"Fair. Heh, fair's a joke Henry, seek justice and safety first, fair isn't real." Emma says, her hand swimming through the popcorn, figuring no one would complain because she can't feel it, she's not ruining it. She's basically just stirring the kernals with the most expensive fork ever. Her diamond fingers. Emma blinks at the movie with a few confused looks, but then she lifts her chin to try and see Gabby over the back of the couch, but the worn out woman can't be asked to be less lazy and can't quite reach up that high with her vision. "Shhhhh, Hank's been trying to watch this for hours and I keep bothering him with my drama." Emma teases.

Henry McCoy has posed:
Rolling his eyes, he chuckles at Emma's commentary. "You need to find a ray of sunshine, Miss Frost." He teases her, glancing over to Gabby. "Gabby, come on, settle in. Popcorn, snacks and movies. It's getting to the good action parts." He offers over to the young student. "All the Kung Fu and magic is really spinning up."

Another nudge to Emma's shoulder, grinning as things come together.

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
Kassandra was on her way back from the kitchen with a sandwich the likes of which had not been seen in quite some time wandering the halls of Xavier's - something she called a B.A.L.T that came to her in a fit of brilliant madness one evening when she was twelve. Sourdough lightly spread with a little mayo mixed with lemon, avacado, bacon, and lettuce. No tomato because it's winter and stuff you can get in the dead of winter in New York tastes terrible. This was all before the dark times. Before the empire...

     Wait, wrong universe.

Pausing on her way to the rec room where 'Big Trouble in Little China' was on repeat for the second time that week, she saw a pale-skinned man dressed in purple slacks that looked a whole bunch like a teacher, and Kass, being the friendly, new sort, decided to act as impromptu tour guide. "So, I don't know where Miss Rogue or Miss Jean or anyone are, but I do know that Dr. McCoy and Miss Frost are here in the rec room. Maybe they can point you in the right direction?" She peers

Bruce Banner has posed:
He's disheveled to say the least. As scientists go he's pretty stereotypical. Dressed to not impress, hair a mess, and looking like he needs a night sleep very bad. On his right wrist, a heart monitor that doesn't make a sound right now. When she leads him towards the gathering he nods and replies softly,"Thank you. I will try not to over stay my welcome."

His eyes move around the place as they walk, taking it in, and mindful of any surprises. Surprises are bad. When they enter the rec room area he pauses again. Lots of people. Why is always lots of people? He braces himself for the potential attention.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney had just stuffed a few shrimp chips in her mouth which results in a suitable amount of crunching, thankfully with her mouth shut. She may be juvenille but she did have some manners. Then she dusts her hand off on the thigh of her jeans totally ruinning that concept as she gulps it down. "Yeah, the Doc likes his movies. Last night was kind of..." She trails off when Kass enters causing her to crack a wide smile.

"Hey Kass! Who's your friend?" She asks curiously of Banner while looking him over. Out of all here she was the least intimidating in appearance being all of five-three and looking as if she weren't out of her younger teens yet. The bag of chips is raised up to them both in offering, "Want some shrimp chips? They're pretty good!"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma blinks at Hank and blinks again as she realizes a student is coming in. She doesn't scoot away from Hank and the bowl, but the thought crosses her mind. At least. She doesn't act on it, but she does have it.

Emma looks to Kassandra as she walks in and gives another blink in that girl's direction, but nothing is spoken by the crystalline woman. Not yet. Not even towards the obviously nervous scientist. "Do you all dress like that all the time or just the bleeding heart doctors?" Emma asks of Hank, nudging him with her diamond elbow before pantomiming a sigh of exhalation. "Why don't you get this one. I'm sure you two level seven wizards have more to talk about and you've already seen this anyways." Emma smirks deviously as she knows he'd be leaving his moving, AGAIN. The comedy is just too real. Though Gabby does get a sidelong glance from the woman made entirely of diamond.

Henry McCoy has posed:
Visitors! Truth be told, Henry hasn't jumped out of contact with Emma, either so... that's a thing. He glances over his shoulder as Gabby mentions a friend and Emma suggests he handle the new person. A blink. "Dr. Banner? Why hello! What brings you by?" He asks, poking Emma in the side - not that she'll notice! The popcorn is handed over to her, as he slowly rises to his feet.

"Welcome to Xavier's." A hand is offered over to the other scientist. "What brings you by?"

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
Kassandra has done a good thing, it seems, by bringing the good Doctor to meet the other good Doctor. Slipping around the disheveled man, she heads towards one of the free couches near the TV with her BALT, a pair of paper plates, and two bottles of soda that are deposited, the sandwich split in half so Gabby can have some if she wants something more meaty than shrimp chips. And this leaves her kind of there near Emma. She takes a breath and gets to her feet to stand in front of the diamond lady, hands behind her back. "Miss Frost, I just wanted to say thank you for helping me out the other evening, and I wanted to apologize for my rudeness in not indroducing myself properly. You're....kind of imposing being all...diamond-y, and stuff." She gestures feebly to Emma. "My name is Kassandra. Kassandra Pagonis. It's a pleasure to meet you, ma'am." And this is followed by a short bow, the young woman taking a step back and reclaiming her seat.

Bruce Banner has posed:
Uncertainty crosses his features, but finally Banner takes a few steps towards Hank to meet him. He extends his hand to shake and he replies,"Thank you Dr. McCoy. I apologize showing up completely unannounced and uninvited. I am not good and propriety and I have an idea, but I need to help of one of your teachers."

Once the hand shake is done he puts his hands into his pocket, the heart monitor still quiet,"I am always glad to see you, but I hoped you might be able to introduce me to Dr. Grey. I need some help with the..." he pauses and mulls it around,"...other guy."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney blinks at the glance cast her way only to offer a small shrug. It seemed Hank knew Dr. Banner anyway so all was good. She settles back into her own seat again, crossing her legs casually before being distracted by Kassandra halving her sandwich. It's eyed with a certain speculation before she gives a slow nod.

"Thanks but I think I'm okay with the hungry aspect right now. I haven't had to heal lately." Another few chips are popped into her mouth before she realizes, "Oh yeah I still haven't told you that..."

But then there's a bow to Emma. THAT earns a raise of eyebrows. "I know she's intimidating but she's not like royalty or anything, Kass." Speaking of, she looks to Emma, "So if I shined a laser through you would it be like a prism coming out or just ...?"

Emma Frost has posed:
"Kassandra Pagonis..." Emma repeats once, looking away from the screen as the young mutant stands between Emma and the movie. A movie Henry has so wanted to share with the students, or at least enjoy on his own. So when Banner showed up in the wake of two students, Emma figured the least she could do was enjoy it for him.

Emma blinks once more at Kassandra and nods once. "I'm not in a position where not being diamond is acceptable for me or anyone around me." Emma warns, dismissing the idea that she's impossing. Emma knows she's intimidating, even when she's flesh and blood. Maybe especially then. The White Queen keeps her attention on Kassandra as the girl moves to sit back down, and only speaks once she's sat, "It's a pleasure meeting you too. Finally." Things Emma will have to help the girl work on during her stay at the school. For sure.

Emma takes the popcorn bowl and holds it between her thumb and palm as she stands up and with a moment, the diamond woman is suddenly flesh and blood again. "Here, enjoy. And point a laser at me, and you'll be shaving your goatee for years to come." She says passing it off to Gabby on her way past and around the couch. Emma's nose is red, her eyes watery, and even her cheeks are flushed and in a quick move, she covers her nose and mouth to sneeze three times in quick succession. "Sorry doctor Bruce. I know you want Grey, but I'm afraid 'white' might have to do for now." Emma says extending her clean hand, "Emma Frost."

Henry McCoy has posed:
There's a shake of his head, the Beast grinning in a friendly manner to Bruce. "Not a problem, Dr. Banner. Always a pleasure to see you." Then it's time to listen, nodding at the subject matter at hand. As he mentions Jean, and Emma chimes in, he smiles.

"I'm not certain where she is at the moment, but if you are looking for her specific talents, Miss Frost is an excellent alternative?" A glance then to Emma, a brow raised. "I am sure she can fill you in on her particular skill set?"

Henry grins over to Kassandra, nodding to the young student. "Thank you..." For guiding Bruce in, and for introductions to Emma - it's dual purpose!

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
Well, that worked out as well as she could have expected, and the apology seemed to have been accepted with the respect that it deserved. Gabby gets a bit of a sideways look as Kassandra retakes her seat. "She's like one of them church ladies from back home. Just got to show them the proper respect and stay on their good side. I never gave 'er my name yesterday when she went and helped me out of my predicament, so I thought I'd better say somethin'." She takes a bite of her sandwich as Jack Burton ends up in the hell of the Upside Down Sinners....ick.

Bruce Banner has posed:
"It's good to see you as well." Bruce replies with a nod,"I hate showing up in askance, but considering what goes on I was hoping to have a few options to cage the beast." He nods and considers the options for a moment. Finally he turns his attention towards Emma, not out of disrespect so much as uncertainty.

He meets her eyes for a long moment and comments,"Considering what goes on in here." he touches his temple,"and what comes out when it gets crazy up here what comes out is..." He leaves that alone,"I am assuming my less than stallar reputation preceeds me. I am looking for someone to help me with...a trigger to shut it off."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney tips her head thoughtfully at Kassandra's insight on Emma as a whole. She'd known her in a different time, so to speak, so this newer attempt at the woman redeeming herself was something she was still getting used to. "I dunno about church. I don't have a lot of real-world experience in that area." Another chip is popped into her mouth as she risks eaves dropping to the not-so-quiet conversation over there.

"If that doesn't work you could talk to my dad. He's good about keeping his killer instinct in check... Usually. Might have tips," she reasons with a little shrug. A quick glance to Kassandra has her offer quieter, "Oh, yeah, I should mention most of my family are kind of killers. But they're getting better!"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma simply smirks. "I'll tell you the same thing I just explained to a friend who I did nearly the same thing for." Emma says, stepping closer to Bruce, and even taking the chance to put her hand up on his bicep, then, back down to her side. Trying to connect with him, or appear that way.

"I can do that, but it's a crutch. Rely on the crutch too much, and the muscle needed to handle such a thing will atrophy." Emma explains, looking into Bruce's eyes, though she's certain, that much in the case of Rogue, he's weighed the options.

"I'll help you, but this could hurt you in the end." Emma warns.

Henry McCoy has posed:
Henry listens, understanding all too well the journey - at least thinking he does! He's running into similar problems, after all. "Regardless, we can sit down and discuss that when you've got time, Dr. Banner? Emma knows her trade, and I am sure Jean will have words of wisdom as well." A nod to the other man.

Eyes dart to the movie, smirking as the scenes change and Kassandra is enjoying. He hopes. "And your family is rather unique, Gabby. I'd... like to disagree with your perception." But he won't.

Bruce Banner has posed:
"What I am looking for is a way that someone can say a word, a specific word and a specific person to stop the rage." he explains,"I quit trying to keep the other guy under control. Stress results in his appearance. I am just looking for a few people that can make him sleep. Stop him when he's rampaging. He calms down eventually, but I'd like to try to make it quicker."

He considers and glances between Hank and Emma both,"Mental control over him has, thus far, been impossible. Nobody controls the rage within him. I just want a back door to stop him without a front assault of that mind."

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
"For you to end up here, it's got to be unique." Kassandra says, taking a bite of her sandwich, nodding towards Gabby. "And it's something that's fairly southern. I'll explain a little more about it later. Right now...movie." And eavesdropping on conversations.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney smiles quietly at Hank's remark only to shake her head. "We know what we are." That's all she says though. No need to bring up more details right now. She stands from her spot with a little stretch. "I'm gonna call it a night. Good luck with your thing.
