Cast of Characters: Bart Allen, Wally West, Irie West

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen has been feeling something odd, not quite off, but odd about the speed force. He contacted Wally, asking him if he has sensed it too. It feels almost like a pull towards an area. He makes sure to let Wally know that it seems to be getting stronger as he heads west. He asks the scarlet speedster if he wants to head in together or come at this from two different ways. Bart does check in with the other speedsters, keeping them on alert but between his innate connection and Wally's knowledge and experience they should be able to handle it.

Wally West has posed:
Wally has a sixth (or is it seve- eight? its hard to count with these things.) sense for disturbances in the speed force. It feels like everything has slowed down, but has been fastforwarded to try to hide it. Sometimes its nothing, but it is always worth investigating. Worryingly enough Impulse has contacted him indicating that he felt it too. 'It could still not be the end of the world.' he hopes vainly.

Today it is in central city. Perhaps it is something to do with Barry? It could be him coming back. That is one of the better causes for this. The two speedsters even wind up at the flash museum. That indicates a speedster. This isn't necessarily a good thing.

"Maybe its just Barry returning? That would be a relief." Wally says to Impulse as he opens the door to step inside. The disturbance is quite strong here.

Irie West has posed:
There's something amiss with the Speed Force over here. The little hairs on the back of your neck stand on end, as if sensing something coming. Something *big*. There's a crackling in the air and fingers of the lightning that's associated with the Speed Force lick out at every available surface. Then, suddenly the ground shudders as a sonic boom rocks the room, heralding a lone figure as she tears her way out from inside the Speed Force.

A teen clad in a yellow Flash costume comes stumbling out of the tear in the fabric of reality. Panting, doubled over and resting her hands on her knees, the red headed girl takes a moment to gain her bearings. At the Flash Museum, she thinks. This is good. She finally straightens to take a good look around her only to find two familiar people there with her.

"Dad!" She yells, eyes lighting up when she sees Wally. She rushes to him and embraces him tightly. "Oh my God," she says, on the verge of tears. "It was horrible. I was running and you told me to push it and I did, and then something *tweaked* in me and then I was in the Speed Force and I kept running and running and then I *felt* you and I ran and was finally able to come out!" She hiccoughs a little and rubs at her eyes trying to keep them from leaking.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen is all ready for something big and bad to come out of the speed force. He is moving amongst the exhibits, and checking behind corners, as the barrier breaks, and he sees the yellow foot, he tenses, many bad speedsters use that color including his other grandfather. Then as Irie steps the rest of the way out and here, Impulse relaxes, even smiles. a bit. He wants to rush in on the hug too, but he gives Dad and daughter a moment.

Wally West has posed:
Indeed it was a speedster. A child infact! This could mean many things. Generally (in his sample size of one) they aren't hostile, but that could still mean--

She called him dad. This ... He was not prepared for this. He likes to think of himself as good with kids, but now he understands that that was all just hubris. In all those other occasions he could be friendly, and at the end of the day they were someone else's responsibility. This is his kid. He has to be parental. He hugs her back, but she can probably feel the uncertainty.

Okay, he hugged her. Uhh, PANIC!!! Uhh "Are you okay?" That sounds like a dad thing to say. He was scared for a second that he had managed to have a kid already without knowing, but she seemed to have some kind of relationship with him that he doesn't remember.

Okay its a time traveller. What do I do? 'Do you know what year it is? Do you know what year you came from? Can you go back? What are you here to do?' Wait this is his daughter! "Umm, I think you may have travelled a little through time." He tries to smile like everything is fine. "Unfourtunately you are a little early, and I don't know you yet. What's your name?" At least /that/ sounded like something a dad would say. Pretty good for a first time.

Irie West has posed:
Irie takes a step back, sensing Wally's confusion. She sniffles a little bit and blink when he mentions that she might have travelled through time. "What?" she asks confused and her eyes go wide when she finally gets a good long look at her father. He is way younger than what she remembers him.

"Oh," she says quietly, as she tries to process this. "Oh, nononono." Her voice starts to fill with panic. "I didn't mean to.... I'm in the past." She has so many questions. She wants to tell Wally so many things but she realizes that she just *can't*. "I... oh gosh. You told me that if this ever happened that I couldn't tell you anything." She chuckles weakly, "I kind of laughed it off because I thought it was kinda impossible, but you knew.... you *knew*."

She takes another step back and clears her throat, smoothing out her costume. "Hi." She says extending a hand. "I guess.... I guess I can tell you my name. I'm Iris West, but everybody calls me Irie." I'm also Kid Flash." A pause. "What year is it?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks to Wally and smiles. He runs up and hugs Irie, and says "Hey I am your cousin Bart, I have not met you yet either, but you may have met me. " He will step back, and says "You do look a lot like a cross between your mom and Grandma Iris." Bart is not the best at keeping spoilers, but he is trying, since Irie is trying. He looks over to Wally, and says "I have not met her yet, but I have read about her and her.." He pauses and says "I have read about her in the family album. He adds "2021 right now " He starts to say something but clamps his hand over his mouth.

Wally West has posed:
Irie huh? Who the heck does he marry who names their daughter after his aunt? Well there is the trouble with time travel. He is briefly worried that she will vanish or change in some way, but there is justice in the universe. Apparently it isn't just malevolent jerks who are immune to changing timestreams.

He is confused when she extends her hand. What kind of relationship do they have where they shake hands? He shakes her hand. "You'll have to forgive me if I don't know our secret hand shake."

He briefly looks at Bart with a hint of betrayal. He knows its stupid, but he would have liked a warning that his kid from the future was going to show up. He aparently was going to meet her anyway, so what harm could there have been? "Bart-- Should I be expecting other relatives to show up from the future? We are past the point of worrying about paradoxes."

"Also-- Irie- We need to figure out where you can stay. You /could/ stay at my apartment, but I am almost never there, and We could probably set you up somewhere more interesting."

Irie West has posed:
"Bart! Yes! Hi!" Irie says, hugging him back. "2021," she muses. "That's not too bad. It could have been worse. I could have ended up in the '80s."

"Oh!" she says when Wally mentions a hand shake. "No, there isn't one. I was just thinking that since is the first time you met me that you'd might want to take things slow. I don't wanna put any pressure on you. I mean. Since you now suddenly have a teenaged daughter." Well, kinda. She's technically only five years old, thanks to the Speed Force.

She nods when it's mentioned that she'll need a place to stay. "Yeah. I don't want to put you out, though. I'm also going to need clothes since this is the only thing I have to wear," she says, picking at her costume.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods his head a bit and says "Well, I doubt her room there, or there, or there is built yet, but maybe the Titans would have a room, heck she could use the room they let me use there if need be." He looks over to Wally, and says "Oh there is a list of people who could come back. I mean my Dad, or Aunt Dawn could show up, sorta, wish they would, never got to meet my Dad. But they are Grandpa's kids, and from the future, so you know, they could but I don't know if they will." He hmms, and says "I know a lot of stuff from my future, but then again, I don't think we are quite on my timeline here. I mean I met a girl in the Outsiders from the future, and it was nothing I had heard from the history Vids, but it would have been history when I was getting my teaching in the future. I know of Iris and ... others." It seems the young man has a tendency to say another name when he talks about Iris? "I even know like what Superhero teams she is on when she is like your age, but that is back in the time she is from."

Wally West has posed:
"I suppose we could find someone to take you shopping. Titans Tower would certainly be more exciting than Kansas." What other things would a dad say? "Do you know your way around?"

He turns to Impulse-- "Well then I suppose I ought to get a place ready then. My apartment is not really set up for a family reunion." He thinks for a second. "Hey how about you show her around? You can give her the low down on the time, and you won't have to worry about letting something slip around me. Besides it seems like you know her better than I do." This has been alot for Wally, and he could really use some space to think.

Irie West has posed:
Irie gives Bart a wide eyed excited look. "I get to be on superhero teams! Cooool!" She nods at her father. "I don't think much will have changed between now and then. I mean, the future now and the then now. I mean..." she rubs the back of her head embarrassed. "Boy. This is going to get some getting used to."

She nods again. "Yeah. I mean. I bet this is a lot to take in for you. You should have some time to process this. I'm sure the Titans have a couch I can crash on, and maybe I can borrow somebody's clothes until we can do a shopping run."

She suddenly thinks of something, "Oh gosh. I don't have any money. I'm going to need to get a job." She shakes her head to dismiss the thought. "Lead the way, Impulse!"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks to her, and says "We got this covered, I can key you in on what I do for food money." He offers. "You find a place, and collect cans and bottles on a couple hundred miles of road, but if you do it in a city need to only do it ever month or so there, as normal people make their money that way too. I might be able to get you a part time job with me, but you will have to limit using your powers while getting there, since I live in Gotham. So there is the whole Batman about." He offers with a smile. "And if you don't like the tower, Jay and Joan probably let you use my old room." He will look to her "Follow me to the Tower, we can talk on the run.. try to keep up." He smiles and is off, with her moving to follow.
