A Night At The Theater
Date of Scene: 05 March 2021
Location: Radio City Music Hall
Synopsis: Harvey Dent, Valeria Richards, and Piotr Rasputin and Kitty Pryde all end up at the Avengers show on Broadway, and bump into one another during intermission.
Cast of Characters: Kitty Pryde, Harvey Dent, Piotr Rasputin, Valeria Richards

Kitty Pryde has posed:
The Avengers show on Broadway had lasted longer than the critics had predicted. Some of the acting and singing did indeed need improvement. That was fair critique. But the city's love of the group that saved them from an invasion of Night Elves and Frost Giants just a couple of years earlier had kept the demand for tickets strong.

The first half is done, Ironman finishing his rousing song as he fights with Thor on their first meeting. The house lights come up and Kitty Pryde rises from her seat, smiling over to Piotr. "I can't believe you hadn't seen this yet. I was here, oh, it must have been three weeks after opening," she tells him. "Shall we go out to the lobby and get a drink?"

Harvey Dent has posed:
Dent rises from his own seat and offers a smile to the couple next to him. He waits patiently for them to file out for the intermission before he slips out into the aisle as well. The handsome DA of Gotham is dressed for the event, in a nice pair of slacks and a button-down shirt. It shows that he is physically fitter then one might expect a man in his position to be. No suit jacket and no tie tonight. It's a 'dressed down' sort of 'dressed up', and it works for him.

He finally gets to the lobby and steps into one of the lines to get a drink while waiting. A glass of wine sounds fantastic right about now. He hums softly to himself as he glances about, taking in the large crowd as he waits for his turn.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
"Yeah I might need a drink..." Piotr jokes, obviously finding the show a bit unusual. "Do you think its odd to celebrate the hero's in this way or is it normal?" he wonders to Kitty as he walks beside her. "How is it they view some as enemies to fear and others as....well...I mean, I guess I understand the Captain...a war hero." he pauses, "It is quite complicated."

The large russian moves at Kitty's side, towering over the poor girl as they move through during the intermission. "Peoples feelings I mean, not the show...it is...well, I dont see Iron Man singing like that." he grins.

Valeria Richards has posed:
Val's been enjoying the show... or, well, okay, she's mostly been enjoying sneaking out and just doing the whole 'anonymous part of a crowd' thing. But still, Ironman's number was pretty catchy. She stands up as the intermission begins, dressed down casually, just one of any number of teens out for a night of leisure... unlike her uncle Ben, she doesn't need to rock a fedora and a trench coat to try and blend in.

She finds herself humming the tune stuck in her head as she makes her way towards the lobby, eyes widening a touch at the couple ahead of her... jeeze! That guy might actually be broader than Ben. She falls into line behind the well dressed guy waiting in line for a drink, her eyes wandering the options. So many choices for sparkling water... and she just -knows- if she picks the wrong one she's going to be left wondering if another brand would have tasted better. Why can't concessions be as simple as temporal mechanics?

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty is wearing a beautiful dress, an off white strapless number that clings to her torso and then has a narrow skirt that falls all the way to her heels, the whole of it accentuating the nineteen year old's slender, fit figure. Her hair is drawn up in a bun instead of a ponytail, and the earrings she's wearing are diamond, as is her bracelet.

They move with the crowd out to the lobby, and then Kitty steps into line with Piotr, ending up behind a fit older man who is humming, and in front of a pretty younger woman. She says to Piotr, "Well, I suppose probably the press has a lot to do with it. But they did save New York. That kind of thing goes a long way. When people are aware of it."

Other groups were part of that fight too. Including the X-men. Though Kitty, Doug and Henry McCoy doubtless spent days scrubbing all of the footage of them in order to preserve the group's secrecy.

Kitty gives a soft laugh. "You'll never guess who I saw here when I came the first time." She keeps her voice low, knowing the man in front and the girl behind them can hear her, but probably her voice isn't carrying much further than them. "Thor was here to see the show. I think he was a little perplexed, but he was in good spirits. SOmeone tried to mug him outside, that probably had something to do with that his positive attitude."

Harvey Dent has posed:
Harvey glances behind himself when Valeria steps in behind and eyes the menu overhead. He flashes a smile at her. "Enjoying the show?," he asks. "It's a fun thing. Haven't -met- the Avengers, but they seem accurate enough. I always figured Hulk was a baritone." His grin is playful and charming. He turns back to consider the menu again. "I'm going for a plastic cup of white wine," he states, conspiratorially. "You?"

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
The large russian is of course dressed appropriately to be there with Kitty in such a fine dress. A wonderful black suit, it has to be specifically tailored for his size. Its not what he is most comfortable in, but he wears it well. "Thor? Really?" he begins to laugh, "I can't imagine what that would be like...I wonder if I'd be embarassed seeing a...person play me on stage? Singing about some adventure I had...some danger?" he grins to her.

His gaze sweeps across the room, looking from person to person in the crowd idly. Likely catching sight of Valeria and Harvey, though not necessarily recognition as he turns back to Kitty. "Wait...someone tried to mug him? The poor soul." he grins, "I can't imagine."

Valeria Richards has posed:
Val offers Harvey a smile in return, shoulders lifting and falling in a helpless little shrug, "Oh, probably..." Her brow furrows as she stares at the menu again like she's trying to decode the secrets of the universe, before she names one of the mid-range options for sparkling water. You can't go wrong with the median option!

She can't help but overhear Kitty and Piotr's conversation, and she has to bite her lip hard and cover her nose to not snort out at the twin ideas of Thor seeing a musical of himself... and some poor sap trying to mug him. She bobs her head to Harvey and grins, "I mean, hey... it seems pretty accurate to me! I don't know for sure that Iron Man -can't- hit those notes in reality!"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty's laughter is warm as the continued talk stirs up the memories of that night. "Yes, not just mug. They actually tried to abduct him. Pulled up in a car. I hadn't any idea who he was at that point either, just someone standing outside during intermission," Kitty tells Piotr. "I may have gotten caught up a little bit in the struggle," she says.

She does her best to look innocent, but her longtime teammate will have little trouble telling she got involved in the fight that happened, even if Kitty can't really go into details on it here. "Well, yes, they were sent packing. And I lost my wrap. Getting away from it. And when I went down to lost and found after, he was there with it," she says. "So if you count Doctor Banner giving a physics talk at ESU and bumping into him after, that's two Avengers I have run into by chance. And not counting working for Janet."

Harvey Dent has posed:
"True, true. I bet a musical about Gotham's heroes would be...well...it'd be different." The man chuckles and ends up ordering his orverpriced cup of wine. He pays for it and steps back, holding his cup. He brings it to his lips for a sip before he spots Kitty and Piotr. He doesn't know them, but he can't help but notice the enormous Russian!

He isn't recognized by folks here, which is just fine by him. It can be hard back home in Gotham, with him having such a public face there.

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
"Kitty, you know everyone it seems..." Piotr points out with a smile, "Quite the contacts you must have in your phone." he says with a grin. He can't help but overhere the comment about Gotham's heroes having different music. "Probably more of a dark rock opera...like some sort of blend of rock and Phantom of the Opera seems proper for The Batman, yeah?" he says to the man nearby, unable to help but interject in their conversation as well.

Valeria Richards has posed:
Val pays for her sparkling water and takes a sip, brow furrowing thoughtfully as she murmurs out, "Hm... I mean, a Gotham musical would sure save on the lighting budget." She tilts her head thoughtfully, "Although their villains would probably be a little more colourful and flamboyant on stage. That'd definitely be something to see."

Her eyebrows perk up a little at Kitty's mention of Janet and Doctor Banner. She's really tempted to introduce herself formally, but instead she just puts on her best smile and sort of shifts to linger between the couple and Harvey as casually as possible. "I wouldn't be surprised if there's some sort of Gotham show next season!"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty is forced to get a soda. Darn drinking ages in her own country being stricter than what she had gotten used to during her time in England. She turns to Harvey and Valeria as Piotr interjects himself into their conversation. "I imagine their stage sets would be amazing though. All that gothic architecture to work with, and maybe a Batsignal shining out into the middle of the audience up on the ceiling," she says. Kitty flashes Valeria a warm smile. "I'd definitely come check it out if they made one."

The young woman looks back over to Harvey Dent and asks him, "Are you from Gotham, sir?" She takes a sip of her soda while they all talk.

Harvey Dent has posed:
The man chuckles a bit and nods at all the talk about the Gotham musical. "Only issue is at least one of those Gotham bad guys would take issue and hold the place hostage. Bigger egos then the kind the Avengers tend to fight, and that's saying something." He sips his wine again and then nods, offering Kitty a hand.

"I am. Born and raised in one of the rougher borroughs. It's home sweet home. I'm Harv."

Piotr Rasputin has posed:
"Hello Harv, I am Piotr." Piotr offers as way of introduction, he lets Kitty introduce herself not looking to step on anyones toes, glancing then to Valeria as well with a smile. Then back to Harv, "I have never been to Gotham, but I have seen stories of course on TV, the internet and so on....I do not know if I believe all of the bad things. People say things about Russian winters...they aren't so bad." he claims.

An order of vodka on the rocks, because of course and he smiles to Kitty, "Although perhaps what is tolerable for one is difficult for another...when you grow up there, it is...just what you are used to?" he glances back to Harv and Val, unsuare if his analogy even made sense.
