Cast of Characters: Terry O'Neil, Bart Allen, Irie West

Terry O'Neil has posed:
It has been a Week for Terry O'Neil- one of those weeks that deserve the capital 'W' and probably an embossed plaque of commemoration. With Lois off in outer space aboard the Kryptonian Space Express, the team's Cheshire Cat has had to keep a pretty busy schedule. He's had to provide content for the Planet (such as landing the exclusive scoop of Wonder Woman's return), but also take breaks here and there to Rabbit Hole to random parts of the world in order to create an illusion of one of the absent Super-people flying around.

Because, if the criminals of the world knew FOR A MOMENT that Superman and Co. were not on Earth...

Well, let's just say it wouldn't be pretty.

How did Vorpal end up with the responsibility to keep up the most benevolent fraud on Earth for the sake of all mankind? That's a question he's been asking himself.

Right now, though, the feline isn't asking himself any questions. He is taking a nap on one of the spacious couches in the lobby, magazine tented over his face. He has to wake up in three hours for a special appearance by Power Girl by the Champs Elysees, after all...

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen comes running in with Iris hot on his heels. He flashes his id to get in, and calls out "Impulse plus one." so the computers knows the other blur is with him. He comes running in and looks around the room to see if anyone is there. Spotting Terry, he will move to hover near the couch looking down at him "Hmms, looks like he is asleep Irie, I am not sure if Donna is here or not, but I know he Oked Wiccan getting a room so he should be ok with it." He looks over to Irie, and says "Wanting to tell them your name is Irie, and your kin to Wally, and me, tell them your his daughter or what?"

Irie West has posed:
Irie has been keeping up pretty well with Bart as they sped across the country coming from Central City to here in Metropolis. Having been gestated and born with a connection to the Speed Force means that she's pretty adept at pushing its limits, though since her jaunt through time, she's perhaps a bit more reluctant to push it *too* far.

"I think so," she says to Bart. "I mean, I'm sure that it won't hurt anything for them to know the truth, but I think we should come up with some kind of cover story for people who aren't superheroes. The less people who know the safer the timeline would be, I would think."

Terry O'Neil has posed:
Vorpal's ears twitch as words are spoken in his presence. The thing about cat-naps is that they are often light enough that the practitioner can snap out of them when there is a disturbance around.

And another word for 'speedsters', sometimes, is 'disturbance.' Languidly, in the manner of someone who is emerging from an all-too-short sleep, Vorpal slowly lowers the magazine until two green eyes peek over the pages.

H glances up at the... two very similar-looking speedsters, albeit of different genders, but matching outfits. He lets out a groan and covers his face with the magazine again, "Gar," he mutters, "I'm having that parallel universe dream again!"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen smiles and shakes his head and says "Nope, your awake, and she is not a evil dopple, she is Wally's daughter from the future." He breaks off and looks to Irie "You probably know Terry here from the future, do you call him Uncle Terry?" He asks in curiosity. He looks down and says "Anyways "Uncle Terry, your future kinda niece needs a place to stay. And since the Tower is more public than the Outsider base thought of you."

Irie West has posed:
Irie nods in agreement with Bart. "Yeah. I just got back, I guess you can say. From the future." She looks at him for a moment before shaking her head. "No, I don't call him 'uncle'. Dad was..." she catches herself. "I shouldn't say."

"But yes," she says stepping up to Terry, and extending a hand politely. "I'm Iris West, but everybody calls me Irie."

Terry O'Neil has posed:
Vorpal blinks a couple of times. "... this is the second future child of someone I've ran into in the last couple of months. Are they having a convention or something?" Sitting up and blinking away the last of the sleep, he huhs. "Wally's kid, eh? That's- kind of wild. It's nice to meet you, Irie."

Taking her hand and shaking it, the Cheshire gets to his feet, stifling a yawn. "Does Wally know yet? I mean, I assume he must. Otherwise I call dibs being in the room when someone drops the surprise!"

" 'Kay, so you need a place to stay, and you're practically family. I bet you know everybody's secret identities. Those five or so of the team that has one." He's not one of them- and to this date, he still doesn't know the identity of any Bat-person.

Unless you counted Harley. Most didn't.

"Well, tell you what- there are open rooms in the womens' dorms. We'll get you one of those..." he pads towards the elevator. "This way! I'll let Donna know. So, Irie... how did you end up in this century?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods and says "Yea she just got here, Wally and I met her when she got here. Luckily I sorta know of her, and will know her I believe. Will need to get her all set up with an id, and maybe a part time job." He looks to her "If you get a chance to choose, go to Happy Harbor high school thats where I went you can tell people your my cousin, so any weirdness they will just put it off as a family thing."

Irie West has posed:
Irie nods, "Yeah. He knows. I got trapped in the Speed Force for God knows how long, when I sensed him, and I kinda used that as an anchor to bring me back." She shakes her head with a helpless shrug of the shoulders, "But it wasn't my Dad that I was following. At least, he wouldn't be my Dad yet. But still, it's better than being trapped there forever."

She follows after Terry, "Oh, still the same century! I'm only..." she makes a quick calculation... "twenty years in the past? So not as long as some."

She nods at Bart. "Yeah. I'll need all those things. And maybe a change of clothes. All I've got is this costume, which feels like I've been wearing foreeeever," she says drawing out the word. At the mention of school, Irie blinks at Bart. "School? I don't... I've never been to school," she admits.

Terry O'Neil has posed:
Strageness runs in a lot of families in the Titans. Some more than others," says he who inherited the mantle, powers and memories of the Cheshire Cat from his father. "Being trapped sucks- Donna, Vic, Cait and I were trapped in a pocket dimension for about three months. Every planet was crazy and it was /so/ tedious.... but don't let me talk your ear off, I'm sure you know all of the stories already," Vorpal waves his hand, and upon reaching the dorms area, he guides the speedsters to the nearest vacant room.

"Tadaa- quite luxurious accommodations, you get your own bathroom, spacious closet. The fridge downstairs is always stocked and Caitlin- you know, Doctor Fairchild- bakes like a goddess, so you'll never go hungry. She teaches at Happy Harbor, doesn't she, Bart?"

He taps his chin, and glances at Irie. "Not having a legal identity can be a problem. However, we happen to have people with connections all over the place. Nightwing has access to that Bat-witchcraft (not actually witchcraft), and Nadia has SHIELD contacts. Somewhere along the way, we'll find a way to get you a legal status." The Cheshire grins and leans on the doorframe, hands behind his back. "You'll probably want to take advantage of the shower while Bart goes and gets you a fresh change of clothes. Donna will probably be by fairly soon to get to know you... she's Wonder Woman's sister and she's very nice."

"I should probably get myself something to eat soon. I've got to project Power Girl flying around in France, and if I am hungry I start slipping food accidentally into my illusions. Wouldn't do for Power Girl to have a cinnamon bun hairdo. With actual cinnabons."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen chuckles and nods his head a bit to this "Going to school is a good thing, I didn't really do it till I got here either, but it helps you learn more about being here, and meet people, and some of it will be boring, but some of it is fun too." He offers with a smile "Yea, I think she does. I got a friend about your age, who goes to school in Gotham if you prefer to go there, I am sure she could help ya fit in some. Balm's a good kid." He nods a bit and says "I will go get ya some jeans and a t-shirt, shoes and socks, and least you will have something to change into it. I'll open the door and shove it inside without looking, and you can come out and talk more if you want to, or if you want to lay down it is ok too, as you have been stuck in the speed force for a while.

Irie West has posed:
Irie's eyes go wide when she finally sees her room. "Oh. My. God. This is great. I always had to share my room with ..." she catches herself again, "With somebody." She moans in delight, "Oh God, a shower sounds absolutely *divine*. And food. I'm hungry enough to eat a horse." She considers, "eat *two* horses."

She nods to Terry. "Yeah. I'm going to need all that stuff, and I guess I'll go to Happy Harbor. I don't think I want to go to school in Gotham." She grimaces, "No offense to the Bat folks."

Terry O'Neil has posed:
"Oh, none of them will ake offense- except the current Robin. He has a very short temper. A very short everything, actually. " The Cheshire grins, "Well, Irie... as you know, the Titans are family. You are family of family, so that makes you family as well. While normally I'd do the honors and notify people over the comm system of your arrival, I think the honors should go to you, Bart, since she is a direct relative."

Stifling a yawn, he stretches, "Okay! I'm off to get coffee as well-- and if you need anything at all, just holler. I have one of the few methods of transportation that might be actually faster than speed-running," he says, as a Rabbit Hole opens up by him, showing the picturesque streets of Montmartre, France, "But let's be honest... poking holes in the fabric of reality to bring points A and B together is /cheating/, compared to the hard work of running. But I get a pass, because cats always cheat."

He reaches over and ruffes Bart's hair, "Let me know how the date with your girl friend goes, Bart- I want to hear all about it!"

And with that, he slips through the Rabbit Hole and disappears, the portal closing behind him.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods a bit and smirks at Terry. He blinks a moment and looks to Irie "Hey you might know.... never mind." He realizes he should not ask. "I'll go grab the clothes you get a shower and come out to the lounge I'll have food," He looks around and says "And if Jai shows up, I'll make sure you both get your own room." He smiles "From one future transplant to another, you got this kid, trust me." He will offer a hug before heading off to get and drop off four or five bags of clothes in her room some fitting, some way off.

Irie West has posed:
Irie turns to Bart with heart eyes. "You have a /girlfriend/?" she asks, holding her hands close to her chest. "Which one is it? You'll have to tell me all about it!" At Bart's reassurance she nods. "Yeah. My dad told us all about time travel. I never thought I'd need to know it, but he knew..."

She wanders off into the bathroom to take her shower. "Thank you /so/ much for helping out, Bart. I would have been lost without you." Then a heartbeat later, "Oh my GOD these towels are so fluffy!"
