Lazy Friday
Date of Scene: 05 March 2021
Location: Warren's Penthouse
Synopsis: Work is done and it's time to be lazy at the Worthington penthouse.
Cast of Characters: Warren Worthington, Kitty Pryde

Warren Worthington has posed:
It's been a long day. Warren worked from home because he had no reason to have to fly into the office, so at least he has that going for him. Walking away from his computer and out of his office the blonde billionaire makes his way down the stairs in a overly comfortable ensemble of a faded mostly-still intact tank top and a pair of sweats. The joys of not having to go into work.

He makes his way barefoot into the kitchen, whistling a bit to himself as he starts the makings of a cup of coffee from the expensive looking espresso machine that sits on the counter. It's one of those big brass looking ones that has all the levers and knobs that looks like it should come with its own barista, but Warren seems to be at home around it from having used it so often. Probably more than he should.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
The fire is going in the living room. Kitty had gone down there to work from home. Having found that if she works from home in the same room as Warren, that neither of them ends up getting anything done.

It's been a quiet morning from her. Lockheed flew up to Warren's office once or twice. Curling up in his lap for pets and warmth, but eventually going back down to check on his girl.

Kitty's lying on the soft rug before the fireplace on her stomach. Lockheed is curled up in the small of her back, his head resting on her butt. Kitty has avoided moving to not wake him up since he dozed off. But she closes the lid of her laptop, seeming to put an end to work. She grabs her phone, sitting there beside her and sends a text to Warren.

> Lockheed's asleep on me, can't move. Any hot chocolate out there?

Warren Worthington has posed:
*ding*

Warren's phone goes off and he fishes out the device from the pocket of his sweats, checking the screen. The text draws forth a chuckle as he glances from the kitchen over towards the fireplace before typing a reply,

> I'm sure that can be arranged, but that damn dragon stole my spot. Curse him."

As the espresso maker does its thing, Warren pulls out a pan and starts to warm up some milk for the cocoa.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty hears her phone chirp softly and she checks the incoming message. She breaks out in a warm smile and sends Warren a message back.

> You won't fit on my back the same, but there's still room where he's made his headrest.

Kitty snaps a picture of Lockheed's head resting on the curve of one ass cheek. She's wearing light grey sweats and a sky blue long sleeve shirt, but not a particular thick one as she's indoors.

> Have I told you today that you're the best?

Warren Worthington has posed:
*ding*

Warren checks the reply and chuckles again...

> "Well, I can't fault his choice of pillow...and no, you haven't. I will bath in your accolades now though. ;)"

As the espresso finishes pouring out of the machine, Warren dumps it into a cup of milk and starts to froth it with steam, the hiss somewhat loud which causes Warren to wince and immediately turn it off again, peering over towards the fireplace to see if he woke the sleeping dragon, muttering out, "So much for that..." to himself, moving instead to focus on the hot chocolate.

> Marshmallows? Caramel? Whipped Cream?

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty checks her phone and smiles. She glances out at the day outside, the sky mostly blue with a few clouds drifting past. The weather seeming to not be able to decide if it's going to be warm or cold on a given day. Cold enough though she can still enjoy the fire without turning on the air conditioner. She taps a message back.

> The absolute best. If I was living with you in the meanest hovel in the most remote hinterland, without a computer in sight, nor the ability to see a Cubs game, I'd still consider myself the luckiest girl alive.

> Just marshmallows. Seriously, you rock.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren abandons the coffee and instead finishes up the hot chocolate by dumping some real chocolate into the hot milk, stirring it to let it melt to a thick consistency before adding it to a pair of mugs, dropping a few mini marshmallows into one of them before making his way over towards the couch.

Setting down the mug next to the prone Kitty, the blonde kneels down next to her and places a kiss to her forehead before taking position up on the couch near where her head rests, setting his own mug to the side. Warren watches her for a moment just admiring the view before quietly speaking, "How was work?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
The teen's face comes alight as Warren emerges from the kitchen. She lets her eyes roam over him appreciatively, in a way she'd have never done back at the school just a few months ago. Well, maybe she would have, but not when she ever thought he might catch the look.

She smiles and takes the offered mug. "Mmm, smells fantastic. Work was good. All done now," she tells him. "How about you, do you have much longer?"

She hasn't moved much, but Lockheed wakes up, for he lifts his head to give a long yawn. He sets his head back down and then his yellow eyes focus over on Warren. Looking at him as if to say, don't you wish you had my pillow?

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren shakes his head, yawning a bit as he lays on the couch parallel to Kitty. "I'm done for the day. The CEO called and said he has had enough of my bullshit and told me to take the rest of the day off. He's a hard ass, so I decided I better take his word for it. Everyone says that guy is an angel, but really he is just a jerk."

Warren stretches out, some of his joints popping audibly as he does as he looks down to the little purple dragon. Warren arches his brow at 'the look' and not so subtly sticks his tongue out at the little alien with a chuckle.

"I'm just ready to relax this weekend, but looks like Lockheed beat us both to it. Am I going to have to go fetch a bedpan or something so his royal laziness won't have to get up from his pillow?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty laughs and looks back over her shoulder. "No bedpans, especially where he's laying," she says. She slowly turns, reaching back to gather the little dragon up with one hand as Kitty sits up. She draws him to her, cradling him in both arms and nuzzling her face against his. "Love ya, guy," she tells him, giving him a kiss on his head.

And then Kitty opens up the fireplace doors and sets Lockheed inside the fire. Once he's where she knows he'll be nice and toasty, she moves to slowly climb up onto the couch, moving to lay atop Warren. "Relaxing sounds good," Kitty says, making sure Warren's wings are free and she isn't laying on them, and then resting her head against his chest. "Mmm. Just like this. Maybe we do need bedpans."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren chuckles to himself as Kitty literally tosses Lockheed into the fire, shaking his head in amusement as the fireplace becomes the new resting place for the little alien. "Well, that is one place to put him."

Warren makes room for Kitty, moving wings out of the way as necessary for her to lay down atop him, slipping an arm around her waist and leaning his head a bit to kiss the top of her head. "Eventually one of us will have to get up, you know that right? Even if we did have bedpans it would be kind of difficult to use one in this position. Not to mention the clothes...though I suppose that is more an issue for me than you. You could just phase everything and not make a mess. I think? Hell, I don't know. I'm just assuming."

The billionaire shrugs and nestles back against the couch, closing his eyes with a sigh. "Other than the basic needs though, I think this is a good way to spend the weekend for sure."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde breaks out in soft laughter, which has the effect of making her jiggle as she lays atop him, her shoulders shaking gently. "I could phase my clothes. And you know, it's conversations like this that I imagine would surprise other people to hear. The things they never really think about mutants," she says. Kitty smiles at that kiss to the top of her head.

She snuggles down into him as his arm encircles her, but it seems the young woman wants more. She reaches for his lovely white wings, encouraging him to fold her in them. "I love your wings. So beautiful. And I just feel so loved when they are wrapped around me," she tells Warren. "Like you can give me two hugs at once." She coos contentedly, and nuzzles her cheek against his chest. "Mmm. Are we going to order in tonight? Oh, and we should pick a night to make that dinner for Becky," she reminds him.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Well, I think about these things," Warren chuckles. "Like, do you even have to take your pants off when you go to use the restroom? Like, I expect you do...but do you even have to? Little stupid things like that sometimes pop into this head of mine. Like just how much control /do/ you have about what you phase and don't? Don't ask me why, because I have no clue. I'm just weird that way."

Taking the hint, Warren folds his wings over, encircling them both in a blanket of feathers, placing another kiss on the top of her head. "As far as dinner, I hadn't thought about it to be honest. We can just order something in if you would like since you seem to be of the same mind that we are not going to move unless we really have to. Of course then comes the debate as to what we choose for dinner so I will just make this easy and let you pick. I can find something to eat anywhere...as long as there is hot fudge at the end...because I want hot fudge."

"Oh! Right...Becky. We owe her for that table. Whenever, Kate. I'm easy and don't have anything pressing that can't be adjusted for whatever night works. I guess just have her come over whenever she is free, and I will cook steaks or something. She isn't vegetarian or vegan or anything is she?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Warren's girlfriend laughs warmly. "Well, I have pretty complete control. I can phase parts of myself but not others. Objects I have to do the whole thing or not at all. I could phase and leave my clothes behind to fall to the ground. Or take them with me, things in the pockets," she tells him. "I could phase a nut or bolt from say, a table, but leave the rest behind. Or phase everything of the table except all the bolts so it falls apart. But I have to keep contact for the most part. And, well weight is an odd thing. I have weight while phased, gravity affects me, but I leave a few molecules unphased and that's enough to support me on the ground, or walking on air," she says.

She leans up to nuzzle a kiss to Warren's throat beneath his chin. "Hot fudge sundaes after dinner it is," she agrees. "I'll see what Becky is doing, maybe we can do it this weekend. If we can fit that into our laziness," she says with a warm laugh.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren chuckles, shrugging a shoulder. "I didn't mean you actually had to answer the stupid questions, Kate. I was just saying these are some of the things that run through my head at times."

Warren leans his head back against the arm rest of the couch, "Oh I don't know. If she comes over she will just have to join us in the laziness, because I expect to be fully entrenched by the time she would get here. In fact it may take an act of God to move me from this spot for the next 72 hours. Even the hot fudge that is calling my name will likely just have to be poured in my mouth so I can just devour it like a slothful Hutt."

He falls silent for a moment, then grins, "Ok, fine. I may be exaggerating just a tiny bit...but not by much! I blame you, you put the idea in my head."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty breaks out in more warm laughter. "Oh I think I'm going to have to end up pouring some hot fudge in your mouth," she counters. "Just hopefully I don't scald you with it. Lockheed might like lava but I should probably be more careful about my other favorite fella who flies," Kitty says, still laughing gently.

She brushes her hand back and forth over Warren's chest. "Thing is... when I phase?" she says, knowing he wasn't looking for answers. But it's on her mind now. "I stop myself. That is, well, to compare it to you and flying. When I phase myself enough to pass through things it's like, I've only flown twenty feet into the air. What I do... I can take it further than what's needed to pass through solid matter," she tells him.

Kitty is silent for a few moments before continuing. "I don't know what will happen if I do, though. I phased through matter without trying, when my power first developed. So I knew that much was safe because I did it without trying. I don't know what would happen to me, or where I might go, if I let myself go further."

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Why do I have the impression that if you are pouring hot fudge it is going to end up everywhere but actually in my mouth?" Warren asks as he lifts his head enough to look at her with a quizzical look. "Oh wait...because I know you. You like to play the innocent, Pryde, but deep down in there I know there is that mischievous part that rears its head every so often, and that would be the most opportune moment to strike!"

He flops his head back against the arm rest and pulls her in closer, folding the wings in a bit tighter around the pair of them. "Which is fine, I love her too. I'll just have to pay the cleaning staff extra. Do your worst...but for now, I think it is nap time. We can worry about food, and the smearing of it, later."
