Staff Meeting - HFC
Date of Scene: 09 March 2021
Location: Shaw's Residence - Hellfire Club
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Sebastian Shaw, Tessa

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
The residence is a quiet place for Shaw to spend some time not in the hustle and bustle of running the club and his corporation. A little haven for him. And today he seems to be enjoying his haven with a paper and a sandwich. A quick lunch away from people asking him questions. His phone is even muted. He has just returned from his corporate offices downtown, so perhaps this is just a quick lunch before he gets to the next item of the day? Or maybe he's done for the day. It's difficult to tell. Either way, he flips the page of the paper over, reading about some major political event or another, and enjoying the quiet.

Tessa has posed:
Tessa returns to the residence, removing her cloak on the way in. She is, as has become her custom, dressed in the 'traditional' Hellfire Club attire. Heels clunk-clunk softly on the carpeted floor, perhaps distracting Shaw. She spots him, of course, and runs a quick mental calculation of the probabilities. She alters course towards the wet bar and begins making a drink for him, which also offers a nice view. Another calculated maneuver. "Good afternoon, Sebastian."

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
"Ms. Fox." Shaw replies, without looking up at first as he finishes the paragraph he is reading. The man then turns and enjoys the not-at-all-HR-compliant outfit that he has Tessa in, soaking in the view of her. Apparently making a drink for him was the correct choice in the calculation, for when she brings it over, he slips an arm around her waist and tugs him down into his lap. "I apologize for not having much time for you of late. My...regular job has been taking more of my attention than I intended."

He takes the drink, and has a sip of it, before he says, "But, I think I am in the clear for a little while at least. Long enough to make some personnel changes here that should pay dividends in the not too distant future. I have promoted Ms. Natchios to Bishop, and am looking to promote Ms. Caradenza into the inner circle, as a Rook to start to see how she handles things, once we have a longer discussion about what exactly it is the Club's true purpose is."

Tessa has posed:
Tessa returns with the drink, lingering close by as she hands it off... expecting his arm to go right where it does. The woman eases comfortably... and carefully... into his lap and crosses one leg over the other. "There is no need to apologize, Sebastian." she offers, unnecessarily. Easing an arm around his shoulder, she half-turns with a little shimmy on his lap. "Personnel changes?" she echoes, going quiet to listen. "A new Bishop and a new Rook." she muses. And no, she doesn't seem at all jealous.

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
"I would move you, but I prefer you in the position you are in currently," Shaw explains, his hand on her waist remaining there while he ponders, "I have had no luck in finding a new Queen to replace Ms. Frost. It is a tall order, but this is a step in a direction to hopefully giving a little more life to the organization. Have you come across anyone of interest of late?" he asks, looking over to the woman, before he takes a long sip of his drink.

Tessa has posed:
Tessa sits upon his lap while they talk, being as much distraction as sounding-board. Her lips pull into a small smile when he mentions that he likes her current position, but that's all. "No one worth reporting." she replies. Otherwise, you know, she would have reported. "Ms. Frost possesses many unique qualities that will make her difficult to replace, unfortunately."

Sebastian Shaw has posed:
"Indeed. And I have had no luck in connecting with the sister of Mr. Maximoff, who seems like...an interesting person to know." Shaw replies, frowning a bit, "She may end up being a bit of a dead end unfortunately." He then gives her a light suggestion that she should stand with his hand, and says, "Also, unfortunately, I need to tie up some loose ends with a pair of individuals who have...decided not to keep up with some of the payments they owe me."
