Date of Scene: 13 March 2021
Location: Big Belly Burger's
Synopsis: Enough food to feed a football team, puns, and sunglasses
Cast of Characters: Michael Hannigan, Irie West, Morrigan MacIntyre

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Well, it turns out that what Mike and Bo carried over yesterday to Hank's new classroom was not ALL that had to be brought over. So, being the friend, Mike made an additional trip with another box and once again, Hank declared he should go eat while the doctor unpacks. 'Why don't you get a burger or something?' seemed to be the suggestion so... Some things you don't question. And with there being a Big Belly Burger near the school. Why would he?

The late afternoon finds the restaurant quite busy. The beginings of a weekend and the prospect of calorie ladden burgers, fries, and milkshakes seems to be too much of a pull for some. Most of the tables inside are taken and the knitcapped rocker is quiet fortunate to get a table in the center of the dining area. It seems the windows seats were all taken. Darn.

Either way, it won't be too much of a disappointment as he has given in to the pull and has a milkshake, burger, and fries before him. Good thing he doesn't have any vocal sessions scheduled for today.

Hee.

Irie West has posed:
Irie has been given something of an allowance by the Titans. This was /meant/ to be used to buy school supplies, but Irie has all the fiscal responsibility of a teenager and has decided to blow it on something she's always wanted to eat: Burgers. Specifically, Big Belly Burgers. After all, she's pretty hungry right about now.

Then again, Irie is /always/ pretty hungry right about now, thanks to her enhanced metabolism.

She had to be careful when speeding towards the dining establishment, making sure to stop somewhere she wouldn't been seen. After all, she has a secret identity to uphold. Once she's sure the coast is clear, she walks around the corner to enter the burger joint and stops short when she sees how full it is. Ugh. Lines. She hates waiting in lines.

For her, things crawl to a stop as she waits for her chance to order, and when it's finally her turn she orders enough for a football team. "Two Big Belly burgers with everything on them, a large order chili cheese fries, two hot dogs with everything, three apple pies, and a large coke, please!" Aww yeah. This meal is going to be epic.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan's not a regular patron of the Big Belly that is not far from school, but it's Friday and she wanted a shake. The redhead is standing at the back of the line and has her wallet in one hand as she looks expectantly at the menus that are drilled into the wall. She gives a look over the line and to the dining area before she spots Mike and he's not with Hank. Curious that! She gives a wave to him as she waits to order things.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Head lifted up as he sips his shake. Mike does a bit of people watching from his position. There's plenty to watch. Off to one corner there is a group of students who are becoming a tad boisterous with their conversation. Namely someone shouting in protest as another classmate keeps saying the word 'moist' over and over to them. He's guessing that there was much more lead up in the conversation prior to it.

Over to the counter it looks like the staff is putting together a group order but he hasn't spotted any waiting groups that could possibly be for. And-

Pale eyes look over to the waving Morrigan. The performer lowers the cup, giving a smile and a wave to the woman. Hey! Small world!

Irie West has posed:
Again with the waiting! Of course this time she's waiting for her food, which Irie supposes would be an acceptable thing to wait for. Still, she taps her foot impatiently until the serving tray is slid forward, piled high with food. She takes it with a polite "Thank yew!" and turns to go find herself a place to sit.

Uh, oh. There really isn't any open tables. So somebody is going to have to suffer her presence. Her eyes dart around the tables until she spots the lone Mike Hannigan. Ah, perfect!

She slides in to sit across from Mike saying, "I hope you don't mind. There's nowhere else to sit." The redhead then proceeds to unwrap a burger and chows down on it. "Oh, my God this is so good," she mumbles around mouthfuls of burger. "Why didn't Dad ever take me to this?"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
'Moist'. That word probably drives mothers to want to beat their children if done annoyingly enough. Morrigan finally gets to where she can order and get her shake. She then turns to head to see if there is a seat she can poach. Mike's got a spare one, so she heads that way. Irie is also noted as having sat down and there is a smile as she approaches, "Mind if I join the two of you for a few while I drink this?" the Irish woman asks as she wiggles the cup at them.

"Is Doctor Pym still at the school unpacking?" she asks Mike curiously.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike sits back as the view of the fully ladden tray from earlier zooms in towards his table. Looking to the tray he turns his head to catch a glimpse of the incoming tea- teen? He blinks, glancing behind her for any incoming friends. "Sure, got room for about..." He looks to the remaining chairs, "Well, two more after you sit down."

He picks up his burger, biting into it as he goes back to people watching. A glance back when Irie states her question causes for him to consider the sheer amount of food before her and the lack of friends to split it with. "...Probably would get too expensive." He offers up after swallowing his bite of food.

Seeing the doctor come up with her drink. He turns his head facing her. "Sure Mo-" He pauses, considering the students, "-Doctor MacIntyre. And yes. He chased me out to get something to eat." He pauses, "I'll grab something for him on the way out. He'll probably be hungry when I get back."

Irie West has posed:
Irie perks up at the mention of Dr. Pym. "Hank Pym? I know him!" She blushes and kind of sinks down into her chair. "I mean. I know him by reputation. And his daughter! I really want to meet both of them!" Her eyes shift from one end of the building to the other. "For... reasons..." she says quietly.

She finishes off the first burger and starts going to town on the chili cheese fries. "Mmph. Probably," she concedes to Mike. "This cost me a small fortune but it is so. Worth. It."

Suddenly realizing her manners she puts her fork down and extends one hand at Mike and the other at Morrigan. "Hi! I'm Iris West, but everybody calls me Irie."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"Thank you." Morrigan states with a dip of her head to them. She settles into the seat and there is a smile, "You can call me Morrigan. It's alright." she tells Mike. "And he seems like the type to forget eating while he works himself into the ground." she admits to Mike about Hank. She looks to Irie and there's a nod to her, "Aye, Hank Pym. He just started working at the school that I'm in charge of." she explains.

"I haven't met his daughter though." she chuckles. The Irish woman reaches out to take the offered hand and give it a shake, "Nice to meet you, Irie. I'm Doctor Morrigan MacIntyre." she introduces herself.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike looks over as Irie expresses a bit of excitement at the mention of his friend. "If you're going to Happy Harbor you might see him around." He allows.

Looking to the extended hand, he shifts his burger over to the other hand and sets a hand down upon a napkin, crinkling it up in the palm of his hand to wipe it. Napkin released, he lifts the hand up to take the offered one. "Hi Irie, I'm Mike."

He looks over to Morrigan, "Tunnel vision gets us all at some point or another when they're doing something that interests them. It helps to get others to watch out for what you're missing. For instance, I'm horrible with managing bookings. Which is why I have really good agents. To make sure I remember to take time off."

Irie West has posed:
"Oh?" Irie asks curiously, returning to her chili fries. "Which school? I'm supposed to start at Happy Harbor this year. It's my first time going to school!" She blinks, realizing her mistake. "... in Metropolis," she adds. Nice save! She nods at Mike when he mentions her school. "Yeah! That'll be cool!"

"My mind goes, like, a million miles an hour all the time," babbles Irie. "It's probably because of the..." she catches herself before she could say, 'speed force' "... massive amounts of ADD that I have. Like. I have to /work/ to get myself to zone out. Or sleep. I don't really sleep all that much unless I work out a lot and get myself super tired that way."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a look between the two younger folks and there's a smile, it was nice to just listen sometimes...and not be stuck in her office. She adjusts her sunglasses just a touch as she catches a bit of sunlight in her eye. Though she looks to Mike at the tunnel vision remark and agree with a soft sigh, "That is very true." she tells him. She went through that last year.

Then she looks to Irie and there's a smile, "That would be the very school that I run." she tells her. "So this is a bit of luck crossing paths." she adds before she sips her shake. "Some of our students at Happy Harbor have never been in a public school environment and it has helped a lot. Hopefully you won't have any issues on that front." she explains.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike lowers his hand but looks back to Irie. "I had a lot of sleep issues growing up. I found certain blends of tea to be helpful. If you haven't tried that before I could write down the ones that worked for me."

He glances over as Morrigan as she describes the school, idly wondering if a school like that would have made any difference if it had existed in the kitchen 18 years ago. Either way he's probably not the best person to push for public schooling.

Irie West has posed:
"Hopefully, yeah," Irie agrees. Having demolished the chili cheese fries she starts to work on the hot dogs. "So you're the principal? That's cool! That means that I'll get to see you on campus! We could be friends?" She scowls at that thought. "No, wait. We're not supposed to be friends. That's not how it works. You're supposed to be all anti-fun and everything, and I have to be the rebellious teen who always gets into trouble because girls just wanna have fun or something."

"Oh it doesn't really bother me," she says to Mike, her head bobbing. "I don't really get tired if I don't sleep. It's just boring when you're the only one awake, you know?"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"I spent most of my childhood and teen years awake at night...given allergies to the sun suck at the whole socializing your child part." Morrigan laughs softly at that. "But I created a serum in college to help with that allergy. So that's nice." she adds.

Then there's a nod of her head to Irie, "Aye, I guess my position is Principal, though it's more director I guess." she chuckles. "And sure, I like to make sure the students feel like they can come to me as a friend and someone they can trust." she admits to that. "I'm guessing that most of our students are rebellious in away. That I can handle." she grins.

"So don't feel like you can't just be yourself." she points out.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike looks over to Morrigan at Irie's observation and then back to Irie. "Ok it's been awhile since I heard this said out loud but- I do believe there is a 'pal' in 'principal'." He gives Irie a calm, nod of seriousness. After a long pause, he smirks.

Irie West has posed:
Irie pauses shoveling hot dogs into her mouth to blink at Morrigan. "So. You're like a vampire, then?" she asks. "Your 'serum' isn't a metaphor for blood, is it? That would be weird. A vampire principal." She purses her lips remembering all the adventures she had with her father before she flung herself into the past. "Though I guess there are weirder things out there."

She looks at Mike, stuffing the rest of a hot dog into her mouth. "Pal in principal? That sounds like something a very uncool principal would say to try to get the rebellious teenagers to think they're cool." She turns back to Morrigan, "No offense."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan looks to Mike, "That was dangerously close to a pun I think, Mike." she states. The straight face doesn't stay though, she laughs at that. "But yes, there is a 'pal' in there. And I'm not trying to throw anyone under a bus. We all need to feel comfortable in our environment." she states.

Then Irie completely hits out of left field and she laughs for a minute, "No, serum isn't a metaphor for blood. I actually do have a serum that we created due to the allergic reaction I have to the sun." she muses. "I guess I'm sort of like a vampire." she chuckles. "Oh I am the least coolest principal in the world. It's going to be horrible." she admits. "But, if you are attending we can probably get you into the spring break trip before it's too late." she offers.

She looks to a text she gets on her cell and there is a sigh, "Speaking of directing things. Michael has noticed that there is a huge ant at school and he said Tyler wants to pet it. I've gotta go." she muses as she stands. "It was nice to meet you, Irie. And Mike we'll see you around I'm sure." she grins to that.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Maybe it would be uncool. But note. SHE did not say it." Mike replies, grinning to Morrigan. "Except to confirm what I said. But that doesn't count."

He glances to the phone as the principal checks it before detailing the ant issue. "Want me to text Hank? Maybe he can introduce Bo to Tyler?"

Irie West has posed:
Irie's eyes light up. "I want to pet the giant ant!" she announces. Getting up out of the chair she rushes to Morrigan's side. "Let me come with you!" There's a slight rush of wind, and the crackle of electricity, and suddenly all of Irie's food has been eaten and drank. "Please?" she asks pleadingly giving Morrigan her best puppy dog look. "/Pleeeeease?/"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a smile to Mike, "Thank you for that." she tells him. "And Tyler...is a special case. I'd rather him get to know Doctor Pym and Bo before petting of Bo occurs. Just in case anything should go wrong, But we can bring him down to meet him if he's not opposed." she admits. "It's a longer story that I can tell later." she adds.

Then there's the rush of wind and electricity and the taller redhead looks to Irie and there's a chuckle, "Alright. Back to the school we'll go. And hopefully Doctor Pym won't mind visitors." she muses. "Enjoy your burger, Mike." she dips her head to him.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike's knitcap flutters a bit from the rush of Irie finishing her food-

(You know what's coming)

-in a flash. A long strand of hair peeks out from the cap, lifting up slightly from the built up energy from across the table. Mike's mouth parts slightly, but nothing comes out. So, he puts the burger in his mouth and takes a bite. He chews through his thoughts. Giving a nod to Morrigan before swallowing. "I'll give him a text so he's expecting you. And I will enjoy the food."

He looks back to Irie. "Nice to meet you Irie." He glances back to Morrigan, "I'll see you later."

Irie West has posed:
"Yay!" cries Irie. "It was good to meet you too, Mike." She turns to go follow Morrigan then pauses, looking back at Mike. "You look familiar....." she muses, thinking, but can't quite place a finger on it. "Oh well," she says with a shrug and leaves with the Director.
