Synopsis: Owari makes contact with SHIELD, everyone walks away.
Cast of Characters: Chizue Nakamura, Phil Coulson

Chizue Nakamura has posed:
It had been a butcher's shop back in the early 90s, and well the place looked plenty condemned from the outside. Inside however, well it was a charnel house in a very literal sense. There were bundles of human skeletons wrapped up in newspaper and string, shelves lined with human and near-human skulls. In the back however there were shelves and shelves stacked tight with hundreds of grisly jars containing the bits and pieces harvested from countless meta-humans, all marked with tape and a sharpie though no ledger had yet been found. The place had only been discovered by accident, and the responding officers had been thankfully smart enough to know when to make the call.

The local crime scene techs had declined to even begin to process the scene, supposedly out of deference to SHIELD but really that twenty year old rusting van hardly spoke well of their funding. The area had been roped off well enough, and then well the local precinct proceeded to sit on their hands and wait for this to be -anyone- elses problem by all accounts. When SHIELD hadn't immediately materialized from thin air they'd put out calls to anyone with a DC area code, and well the scene isn't likely to stay clean for long with this mess brewing.

Phil Coulson has posed:
Stepping through the door, Phil Coulson frowns as he looks around a bit carefully. There's a brief pause before he nods to the team he brought with him to get to work. Looking towars the offiers present at the scene, he raises an eyebrow. "How did you find out about this place?" he asks, stepping closer to them as he watches them a bit carefully.

Chizue Nakamura has posed:
"Well there's been this cape in town, on and off for a few weeks I guess? Anyway they've been going after the Triad in town, well today we found a gift basket."The young officer swollows dryly, before glancing over his shoulder to make sure his CO wasn't nearby. "Our Chief came into the office today, and there was a big gift basket with all their phones and wallets on his desk. Tucked in one side was a city map, with this place circled. So we sent a unit over here and found..this."Motioning meekly towards the stacks of bones. "The chief's pretty mad, I mean they snuck in at like broad daylight. The Cameras didn't pick up anything."

The officer clears his throat, before leaning in a touch closer. "We weren't allowed down in the basement in the back, no matter what the chief says we haven't secured the scene completely. Just be careful al-.."And a shout from outside catches his attention, before after some mumbling over the radio he offers an apologetic look and meanders outside.

Phil Coulson has posed:
"Interesting gifts you people get around here," Phil remarks as he hears that explanation, before he nods a bit at the part about the basement in the back. "Interesting," he remarks, before he nods as the offiver heads outside. Turning to some of the other SHIELD people, he nods, "Jones, Stone and Flynn, with me. And be ready for whatever comes, we need to check out the basement," he offers to them.

Chizue Nakamura has posed:
The back room is bad enough, but squirreled away in the very back is a descending concrete staircase. At the landing lies, well most of an older asian man. The upper half of him at least, pistol still clenched in one hand and well seeing as he'd been sliced diagnally from hip to shoulder it may take a moment to spot the pistol still clenched in his -other- hand. Beyond him lay the strewn remains of another three fellows in what had been nice suits. Of potentially more concern however, is what's on the shelves down here. These jars contain -names- in addition to their numbers, and shelves down here are crammed tight with the macabre collection.

Down the isle, at the far end of one of the isles though, well the light spilling through the doorway draws everything into sharp relief. Against that back wall however, is a vaguely humanoid shadow where there shouldn't be. The outline of the figure itself, standing stock still in the middle of an isle takes a moment or two to resolve and even then it's faint.

Phil Coulson has posed:
Phil Coulson pauses momentarily at the sight of both the cut up men and the aisles. "This is really messed up," he remarks to the agents, frowning as he looks around. "Okay, Flynn. Check if there's a light switch here." He pauses as he seems to realize there's a shadow that isn't supposed to be there, and he pulls out his ICER, as well as a flashlight, turning the light in the shadow's direction, to see if he can find the cause of it. "If there's someone here, step forward slowly," he calls out.

Chizue Nakamura has posed:
"Took you guys long enough, I actually called your tip line first you know."comes that gravely digitized voice from seemingly everywhere and nowhere. "Unfortunately you missed most of the party, but I was careful to leave the evidence perfectly intact for you. You can relax, Agent we share a common enemy."

That mask breaks free with shake of the head, revealing that simplistic wireframe tanuki face. The eyes erupting in a pixelated rainbow, as it swivels around to lock onto Coulson. The rest of her following shortly there after, as the transparency seemingly drains out of her as though she had been an empty vessel. That waist length poncho finally defaulting to it's somewhat granular black and grey. The bodysuit beneath it is certainly close fit, and well the poncho hides much of the equipment carried uptop. There are a pair of thigh pouches though, and a singular padded kneepad over those perfect black tights and black hightop sneakers. Her arms at least are somewhat armored, with vambraces and reinforced gloves and in her left hand? Well it looks like it may as well have been forged from glass, but even in low light the shape is clearly that of a sheathed sword. "I kept the phones I found down here for you, just in case the chief was in on it rather than cowardly. Looks like these boys had quite the customer list, very messy don't you agree agents?"

Phil Coulson has posed:
For some reason, someone telling him that he can relax usually makes sure Coulson is a bit on edge, but he at least relaxes a bit, as he studies the woman that appeared. "Who are you?" e asks, before he nods again at her words. "True. It seems like they had quite a list of customers." An aside to the agents with him. "Make sure everything is properly processed." He looks back to the woman again. "The men so neatly cut up there, were they the ones behind this, or just the ones working this particular place?" Another brief pause, and he adds, "And the cuts, I take it that was your work?"

Chizue Nakamura has posed:
"They would appear to be middle management, major portions of their operation are in the wind."And with a toss, she flips a plastic bag with the remaining phones inside towards whichever agent is closest. "I am called Owari, but that is merely what this humble Kunoichi is called."She lets that float out there for a moment, gaze drifting towards the bodies for a moment. Her cloak slowly fading partially back out, leaving her with a simple polygonal wireframe. "Those and others, usually I would have preferred to leave somebody alive to question but they were particularly motivated to die fighting. Better them than you, or the hapless cowards upstairs. "

Phil Coulson has posed:
Phil Coulson nods slowly as he hears that. "True. Although I agree it would have been better to have one alive that could tell us more about their operation." Agent Stone catches the bag with the phones, moving to process them as evidence, and Coulson nods again. "Hopefully we have enough here to get to the ones behind the whole thing." There's a brief pause, and a nod again.

Chizue Nakamura has posed:
"Do not confuse me for a working Hero, I am not able to make a habit of this kind of activity whilst on assignment. Consider this a professional curtesy, one which I would appreciate you return if able."Theres a slow lifting of that mask's chin, before that polygonal outline begins to slowly fade into the background. "You'll find a way to contact me in the glovebox of the car you arrived here in. Know that anyone describing themselves as Ninja in this country besides me, is either a liar or an outlaw. I am tasked with dealing with the latter, and you need not waste your time with them. Just give me a ring, and I'm happy to return the favor."

Phil Coulson has posed:
Phil Coulson nods slowly as he hears that. "I will keep that in mind," he replies, before he adds, "And I will make sure to be able to return the courtesy at some point."

Chizue Nakamura has posed:
"Lovely, Sayonara Agent."And just like that it's like somebody flipped a switch, and she's gone in the blink of an eye. Neither shadow nor food step left to announce exactly how she departed, but there is something of a stillness in the air with her exit.
