Peggy Carter has posed:
Marriage, then honeymoon, then getting back to SHIELD, then the holidays... The last few months had been a whirlwind. Not to mention buying this lovely little three bedroom out on Long Island and paying far too much money in moving services, and new furniture, to fill it. But it'd be their home for a month now and liveable for nearly a week and they still didn't find the time to go back to it. SHIELD had been just that busy.

However, tonight, Peggy insisted. Yes, it was near on midnight, they'd been working since 8 am, barely got food in for dinner, but they had a house, they should use it. She also asked him to drive, however, having been caught up in rough sleep for several nights this week. She promised she'd stay awake, but lost her promise somewhere on the Long Island expressway. She's now idly snoozing against his shoulder, curled up on the bench seat of their car, faint snores coming from her exhausted breath.

Daniel Sousa has posed:
The house seemed like such a good idea at the time they bought it, there was a yard both front and back, three bedrooms a living room, for a kid who's teen years were spent cheek and jowel in a single house during the depression with his extended family it was almost heaven. Besides, when Howard walked in on them at the penthouse during the holidays it had made it clear it was time for their own place. Though the nightly drives were a lot longer than the ones to the penthouse, cutting into their sleep. Not that Daniel minded, this place was theirs, his and Peggy's, a little less sleep and a some driving wasn't to high a price to pay.

Smiling at the little snores he pulls into the drive and puts the car in park and turns off the engine. Looking over at her sleeping against his shoulder he shakes his head fondly then leans over to kiss her ^top of her head. "Peggy, we're home," he says gently.

Peggy Carter has posed:
A momentary, grumbling protest escapes from her throat as starts to rouse her. She was comfortable just as she was, even if her back would hate her in the morning for it. Not quite awake enough to realize what he's saying, she turns her head into his throat just a bit deeper and tries to bury her eyes into his shoulder. Her breath is warm and even against his neck. And then her mind actually processes what he said and she forces herself to blink awake.

"Oh. Oh hell... I completely broke my promise, didn't I?" She rasps out throatily, having been deep enough asleep she's already a bit mussy from deep breaths and slack muscles. She relcutantly begins to pull away from his warmth, knowing the bitter February air is going to be miserable to walk out into. Even in their posh covered, attached garage. "...How long was I out? You could have woken me!"

Daniel Sousa has posed:
Daniel laughs as Peggy buries herself against him in an attempt to escape having to wake and brave the February chill the dozen or so steps from the car to the door to the inside from the garage. "C'mon Peg, just need to make it inside and up to our room and you can cuddle me all you want," he promises before she lays into him for letting her sleep. "Since the Expressway," he says, "And sure I could have, but I didn't, you need all the sleep you can get and besides you looked adorable."

Peggy Carter has posed:
She gives him a little huff. "I am *not* adorable. I am a world class spy who runs one of the most powerful intelligence agencies on the planet. Adorable does not fit the job description." But there is a teasing glimmer behind Peggy's eyes as she says that. She's certainly not cross with him! She just has to set the record straight. She then leans up for one quick kiss, gives a little groan, and pops the car door open so she can jog around inside to the kitchen entrance as quickly as possible. At least the house was well heated.

Daniel Sousa has posed:
Daniel just smiles, "All true," he admits. "But what can I say, you still adorable, Director," he says with a wink before he returns that brief kiss grabs his cane and gets himself out of the car, joining Peggy in the warmth of the kitchen shortly after she makes it inside. He closes the door behind him and hanging his cane on the door knob he takes off his overcoat and hangs it on the hook by the door before holding out his hands and offering to do the same for Peg.

"We made it," he says with a warm smile. "We can mark another day where we didn't fold and use those fold out couches Howard got us when we bought this place. Though you were cutting it pretty close there," he adds teasing. He was only more awake because he'd knew it was his turn to drive and burned through the last of the office's coffee before they set out.

Peggy Carter has posed:
Looking around their strangely large, warm, quiet house, Peggy still seems a little stymied by it all. They *lived* here. It was all lovely furniture they'd picked out. There was even a television they haven't yet turned on! But it didn't feel lived in. It was like a movie set of someone who said create a middle-upper class couple's first home with all the trimmings. "...what... What are we *doing* with all this space?" She breathes out quietly.

She's then setting about the few things she does at night to prepare for the morning -- mainly fill the kettle and percolator with water, set out the coffee grinds and her tea. That way it's easy to get them both their wake up beverage for the drive in. It's just odd to be doing it in a kitchen where she could make a whole 7 course Thanksgiving dinner.

Daniel Sousa has posed:
"We'll grow into it," Daniel says, recovering his cane after hanging up the coats and moves to stand behind Peggy, wrapping his arms around her waist. "And if we do find time for a family, we'll need it," he says, though he does allow. "The TV was probably a bad idea though," he admits with a smile. "Neither of us have the time to read the paper let alone watch what's on there," he says gesturing off towards their living room. "But I guess there are worse ways for us to be conventional," he says kissing her cheek before stepping away to help lay things out for the morning.

Peggy Carter has posed:
As he wraps his arms around her, Peggy leans back against him a bit deeper. There's a drowsy smile on her lips as she does consider it. "...Yes. I suppose this is proper motivation to maybe have that family, hmm? No reason to have bought it otherwise..." But she's not complaining. There's distant, happy daydreams about it behind her voice. She's ceased being scared of that topic. Mayhe she's even turned a little hopeful.

"But, tonight...bed. And sleep. As much as I want to drag you back there and possibly work on that little matter..." Tea laid out for the morning, her eyes were still slightly heavy with sleep from the car ride.

Daniel Sousa has posed:
"All part of my plan," Daniel teases about the house and leading to the need for a family to fill it as he burries his face against Peggy's neck and shoulder as she leans into him. He smiles hearing that change in her tone about a family, he doesn't remark though, not wanting to call attention to it. Then he's helping lay things out with her. "Mmm good as working on that sounds, I'm with you, bed and sleep tonight," he says before noting her closing heavy eyes. "Going to be able to make it, or am I going to have to do a repeat of carrying you across the threshold?" he asks with a smile. He had managed it the first night they spent here and all without dumping them both onto the floor in the process.

Peggy Carter has posed:
"Mm. I *think* I can manage. Though I will not complain if you'll help with shoes and stockings? Getting out of these clothes is just so exhausting." Peggy winks at him warmly. Sleep needed or not, she's still madly in love with her husband and does take pleasure in flirting with him. Especially if she can manage to get a blush in his slightly olive toned cheeks.

Morning things laid out, she makes her way down the hall towards the Master bedroom. There were two other bedrooms and an office upstairs, but in consideration to his leg and the practicality of the space, they'd chosen this house specifically because it had a master downstairs. That might change with children, but for now, it's a short walk to the room they do use more often. Her vanity already a mess of make up, clothes strewn about they need to clean, this is the one place they have make their's.

Daniel Sousa has posed:
Even after a few months of marriage and months more of living together before that getting Daniel to blush is still like shooting fish in a barrel. His cheeks colour even as he grins at her, eyes dipping a moment before he brings them to meet hers with a grin. He moves towards her again, wraping his arms around her waist again, this time face to face. "I dunno, that might be playing with fire, especially if we're not planning on working on the family tonight," he teases, before leaning in to steal a kiss. "Though that's not a no by the way, just to be clear," he tells her as he lets her. He was just as madly in love with her and enjoyed the flirting, even if it made him blush. "Shall we?" he asks as he joins her for the walk down the hall to the bedroom.

Peggy Carter has posed:
"Please." Peggy echoes to the question. Flirtatious or not, she did desperately want her bed and her husband in it. While she'd teased him about the shoes, she actually takes them off immediately and sets about unbuttoning her suit jacket. He can help with the other bits. She just wants out of the most uncomfortable things as quickly as possible. She's down to her skirt, stockings, and shirt by the time she's going around to her side of the bed and flicking on the bedside light.

"Mm... alright. Coming home was a... good idea." She admits, looking down at the big, incredibly comfortable bed that is entirely their's.

Daniel Sousa has posed:
Daniel too gets about removing his outer layers as soon as they're through the bedroom door, the tie, his own suit jacket, then sitting down to take off his shoes. He smiles in agreement about coming home, "Yeah," he says looking at the bed and his wife beside it. "Definitely worth the trip," he says as he puts his shoes down next to his chair. "So," he says standing up again and coming around the bed to join Peggy. "Where do you want me to start?" he teases lightly before claiming a slow and tender kiss.
