Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
Late night at the Xavier mansion is one of those things when anything can happen. A few students who don't have a need for sleep are still up and around, doing whatever it is they're doing while the rest of the world dozes, and a few others - night owls studying or others just hitting the restroom or searching for snacks - go hither and yon. If one were quiet, one might be able to slip through the house unseen. Not exactly invisibly, since there were pressure plates and locked doors to discourage such things, but enough for the casual viewer to easily miss when someone was sneaking past in the background of a panel on the page.

Kassandra, this evening, couldn't sleep for whatever reason. A jaunt down to the kitchen had her drinking some warm milk and popping some frozen cookies into the oven where, ten minutes later, they were finished. Nine of them - far more than a girl her age should need - which meant that she was probably going to see if she couldn't find someone to share with. There were a few people she knew here on campus that were around and, at each door she stopped at, the sound of dozing could be heard. PErhaps the faculty rooms? It's late...Hank might be up?

Henry McCoy has posed:
The light from under Hank's door was on - the murmuring from inside also indicating that the man was up and about. It wasn't all that unusual for Henry to be up late with work - many of the students also have tales of him being found in the rec room, watching an older movie and enjoying the comfort of the sofas there. Even as she nears the door, the man looks over. The blessing of exceptional senses.

"Are you making a delivery? Trying to fatten me up, Kass?" He offers over, even as he opens the door. "Or just having an off night and need an ear to bend?" The Beast grins, nodding to her.

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
She's just about to tap on the door when Henry opens the door for her. She takes a step back and blushes faintly, brushing her hair behind one ear with a shake of her head. She straightens, peering into the room, looking about for a second to see how The Beast lives before settling on where Hank stands. "I just...no, not trying to fatten you up. I just made cookies and....yeah, calories don't count if you have them with a friend."

Henry McCoy has posed:
A nod to the woman, the man chuckling. He taps his ear, then his nose. "I'm a bit more sensitive than others. Come on in, sit." He motions her into the room, chuckling. "Everything is alright? No problems?" Henry asks, moving over to the desk - turning off a soldering iron he'd been working with.

"I'd never heard that theory - the calorie one." The blue Beast chuckles. "I am willing to give it a try, however. Regardless, I can always take a lap tomorrow around the lake."

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
Kassandra figured as much, stepping into the room, looking around again at how...well...normal it looks. Sure, a part of her thought, for a little bit, that there might be ropes for swinging or some kind of bizarre cat tree thing perfectly sized for Henry, but when the dark green linen-covered bed and the fireplace, exactly like her room except without some of the flairs, it's just...relaxing.

"No, no problems." she says with a shake of her head, stepping in, her robe tied loosely around her waist, the image of Kermit with a wizard hat emblazoned on her sleep shirt. "Ororo is helping me, as is Xi'an. I can't really go into much more than that because I really don't know how they're helping me, but they are."

Henry McCoy has posed:
Relaxing is exactly what he needs - that and feeling normal. Everything is made for comfort, and to espouse a normal person living here. Sure, there's a bit of workspace there, but there's a definite separation. "I am sure they have a plan. Ororo is an amazing person - she's always been a good friend." A chair is motioned to, near the lit fire.

"Xi'an is wonderful too. She has a lot of understanding for one so young." A chuckle. "Has it been easier sleeping? Has your gift been manifesting less when you dream?"

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
Moving across the room on stocking feet, Kassandra first sets down the plate of cookies on the table nearby before sitting, drawing her legs beneath her, beneath the robe, smoothing it out a little. When she does that, she almost feels like one of those actresses from the 50's and 60's - the glamourous ones in the Hollywood system. "It's still happening. Xi'an says that my superego is protecting me, whatever that means..." Not read up on Jung, apparently. She shrugs. "But she says with practice and time, I should be able to get through the night without popping."

Henry McCoy has posed:
The man listens, nodding as she explains. "It would make sense - she's got a good grip on the various moving parts of the personality and brain." The man admits. "I have faith. You'll get it under your control, and you'll be better off for it. And then you would only need to wear a blindfold if you wanted a darker room at night." The man chuckles.

"How are classes going? Making new friends here too, I hope?" He asks, curled up in his own chair - thankfully it's been reinforced to avoid any catastrophic furniture failures.

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
Kassandra takes up a cookie in one hand, munching it quietly, nibbling along the edge before she respondes to Henry's question. "I am. A lot of it is getting me back up to speed to where I was before, but I'm starting to catch on. There's word that I'll have to do some kind of project before the end of the spring semester, so that's something i'm looking forward to." Eye roll goes here. "And friends..." She giggles. "Gabby's a lot of fun. So's Illyana. Jubilee. Ruth. Lots of girls, mainly. Mr. Worthington and Kitty were nice enough to fund a shopping trip, which is why I have clothes...."

Henry McCoy has posed:
"We take care of our own. Warren and Kitty do a lot of that - people new to our family are made sure they feel at home." A wink. He selects a cookie and takes a bite, smiling at the warm cookie glow. "Gabby is quite the interesting young woman. I've known her quite a while now. Illyana, Jubilee, Ruth - they are all good people. You seem to have found a good place, then? If not a home?" He suggests.

A chuckle as well at the mention of the project. "School is school, after all. We need to make sure everyone is prepared for the world of adulting, Kass." He snickers.

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
"I suppose so." Kassandra says, slipping out of her chair and leaning over to give the big, burly Beast a tight hug. "To be fair, I could think of worse places to be. You're all so kind. I don't know how I'll ever be able to repay the kidness you and the rest have shown me."

Kassandra Pagonis has posed:
And with that, Kassandra squeezes Beast one more time, taps him on the nose once, smiles, and straightens. "Thanks for the short get together, Henry. Don't be a stranger." And with that, she heads back to her room to try and get some sleep.
