Surrounded by a black framed metal slatted fence, the Happy Harbor Community Pool is reasonably nice. Upon entering in, guests are treated to the purple and white buildings that house the restrooms, canteen, changing areas and shelter area for swimmers to gather during surprise inclement weather. Beyond that there are two gates. Each going to separate fenced in pool areas.

The smaller of the two, is extremely shallow and meant for those not necessarily 'swimming' but want to either soak their feet or gradually introduce their small children to the water. Off to one side of it, there is a large roofed sun shelter where several benches are situated. The design and layout of the benches does allow for it to be used for any events people can think of. On the other side of it, several standing umbrellas and chairs.

The second pool area is much larger which merits two umbrella'd lifeguard stands. One is situated towards the shallow end of the pool which is at three and a half feet deep with regular steps towards one corner and a ladder on the other. The other lifeguard stand is situated directly across from it, where the keeper of that tower overlooks the depths of the deep end. Only ladders are available over there.

Along the perimiter of the large pool is a smattering of brightly colored lounge chairs, umbrellas, and adirondack chairs. There are several picnic tables along the fence behind the lifeguard stand on the shallow end.

The weather is lovely today and with Spring Break extended for the students of Happy Harbor, why NOT have another get together? After making sure it'd be alright to have a large gathering with food, an open invite was extended to the Happy Harbor school family, extended members too, to swing on by. The picnic tables have been taken up by an assortment of snack foods and beverages that SHOULD be enough to feed an army. Or two Flashes. (Please bring more food.) The sun shelter near the shallow pool has also set up with several empty folding tables that are currently awaiting a delivery. Dang this is a lot of food.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Dressed in mostly black swim shorts and an off-white tee, Mike Hannigan lingers near the empty table. Nokia out, the musician looks towards the small screen, using the arrow key to tab down through the message. "Looks like they're still in the inspecting stage. Got a bit of time before the pizza gets here. "

A man with short light bown hair sits at one of the benches near Mike. Using one of the posts for the sun shelter as a backrest, he's using the whole of one bench to rest his legs as well. An uplifted knee acting as a rest for the clipboard in front of him. Despite this being a gathering at the pool, he is not wearing a swimsuit and is instead wearing long red shorts, a white tank top, and a white ballcap. Hearing Mike, he glances up, giving a better view of the amazing facial likeness to one dead member of Silver Round. The hair and build is a bit off though. With the arms exposed it's apparent this one has a better fitness regimine "Isn't it better NOT to have all the food here at the start of an event?" Rod asks, "Gives the second wave of eaters more of a chance to eat."

Irie West has posed:
Irie has tentatively agreed to go to the pool. After her last experience with a large body of water, it's no wonder that she's a little hesitant about coming to the pool. Still, it's time to put on the brave face. She's faced many a super villains in the future so she can face this.

So here she is, dressed in a one piece bathing suit that's the same yellow of her Kid Flash costume. She even found one with lightning stripes on it, as if it was made for her! She comes out of the dressing room with a towel slung over her shoulder, and her copper hair tied back into a ponytail and stands there, surveying the pool and the surrounding area with her hands on her hips. /You can do this, Irie/ she thinks to herself. /You're not gonna drown this time./

But then she discovers there's food. Her eyes light up and she makes her way to where all the snacks are and starts chowing down. You're supposed to eat before going into the water, right? To stave off cramps, or something.

"Hi Mr. Hannigan!" She calls out to Mike. "This is a lot of food. I don't think I can eat all of this."

Damian Wayne has posed:
Damian had settled in on a lounge chair, Alfred had -insisted- on his being here despite his natural tendency of aversion.

So, there he was, lying down in the sun, blue swim trunks with red piping and a red Superman S on the leg. And a white tee, with black wayfarers on, lying down and sunning his olive skin in the sun.

The boy just gives off an energy that says 'don't.' But that was his nature.

Billy Batson has posed:
Red board shorts with gold lightning bolts - hard not to acquire in a world with the Flash in so many iterations, but they're worn by young master William Joseph Batson upon his exit from the changing area. Skinny,, with about a year and change worth of good meals and some extra time to live rather than survive under his belt.

A pause as he steps out in the open, towel over his shoulder and running a hand through his hair causing it to look like he just got shaken by a sasquatch or something. And he's not wearing the shorts 'cause he's a Flash fan... There are other reasons for it. But he's not branded and wearing his own brand would've been a bit too obvious too.

Also he's a Flash fan.

But he looks from face to face, unfamiliar. Not one of the special cases at Happy Harbor... just an ordinary kid right now.

Wally West has posed:
Wally had volunteered to help out at Happy Harbor. Something about a swim class. It wasn't until now that it occured to him that he hadn't swam in years. His usual approach to falling in the watter was to push himself back up and get back on his feet. If you move fast enough, water is basically solid. He hadn't voluntarily sunk in water he couldn't stand in for sooo long. Hopefully he still remembers how its done.

Well atleast he could bring food. He still remembers how /that/ is done. He has a nice load of sandwiches from a place he knows. Aaaand they already have food. Well there goes that. He might have to actually teach somebody. Maybe Irie can teach him. Yeah he didn't think so either.

"Hey everybody! Looking forward to swimming today?"

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym finally makes the scene. Stupid experiment getting loose and taking aaaall morning to track down and subdue. And t was a physics project at that. Another outing. Well maybe nothing would spoil this one. His last project showed that a carpenter ant could indeed survive underwater indefinitely. They just had trouble breaking surface tension to escape. Thus their aversion.

So no Baudelaire. He was left home. Hank's social anxiety is being a mother and, he's supposed to make sure things go well. Well if you have to be somewhere and you have some qualms. Make an entrance!

Thus the elder Pym walks in, drops his towel and bag on a chair, keeps walking to the deep end and without a word dives in, a smooth move from the edge, no leap involved. He swims along the bottom to the shallow edge before breaking water and exiting. Dang that water was cold. He comes up and grabs the edge hauling himself up in a spray of water. When you're a couple inches tall you better know how to bloody swim. Ah he still has abs. Thank goodness. He takes stock of who's there.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Hearing the greeting, Mike turns his head to look over to the young student. "Afternoon Irie." He greets, glancing towards the picnic tables that already have food on them. The admission she might not be able to eat all of the food does cause for him to chuckle in response. "I think that was the plan. We're still waiting on the pizza." He gestures to the empty tables behind him before glancing over to see Wally and the sandwiches. "Afternoon! We got some extra space on the table over here if you're looking for a spot to but those down at"

Rod, who is still glancing up takes note of the student coming up and upon Mike gesturing to the tables between him and Mike, he lifts up a hand in a slight wave of greeting. Just in case she catches glimpse of him. That's considered polite over here, right? Hearing Wally's comment, the doppel looks over towards him, giving a shake of the head. Nope. Not dressed for swimming. Eyes shift over, looking towards the entering scientist. But being Hank just walks by to go to the deep end of the other pool Rod glances back down to his clipboard.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan's not one for sun and swimming might be weird. So the woman has shown up in something that is springy and breathable, but she's not going to be swimming. She's wearing a large sun hat and sunglasses as she lazes on a chair poolside with a book out and reading. The kids were easily seen and she wasn't going to be going to far as it was. Not unless she got a phone call. Or a text. There's a look up to see who has wandered in and a smile is given along with a friendly wave to those that she sees.

Irie West has posed:
"Dad!" Irie cries when she sees that Wally is here, too. She rushes up to him, food momentarily forgotten, to give him a great big hug. "I didn't know you were coming!" She thinks about telling him to give her swimming lessons in the future but decides against it. What if he does and that radically alters the timeline to where, dunno, Grodd takes over Atlantis?

"I'm about to go for a swim, but I needed to load up first." She blushes a bit and rocks back and forth on her heels, "Well, not really /swim/. I don't know how. Usually we just run on top of the water. But I'm going to get into the pool and just ... float, I guess."

Then Billy catches her eye. "Ooh! A new person. HI NEW PERSON!" she shouts at him, waving.

Damian Wayne has posed:
The young Wayne boy watches as Wally and Irie come in, and do their thing. He lowers his sunglasses to watch as the pizza arrives. A moment of hesitation before raising his glasses.

Damian removes his shirt, and starts to approach the pool. The kid had a good amount of scars on his body, a product of his upbringing, some long and thin, some round, some oblong.

Dropping into the water, Damian just launches himself from the shallow end of the pool, all the way to the deep end where he finally breaks the surface, right next to Hank Pym. "Doctor." He says in greeting before wading away from Hank.

Billy Batson has posed:
Deer in headlights en route for food when the redhead whips past and then he is stopped again when he is addressed, most exuberantly, as New Person. Eyes widening again as he sidles towards the spread with one hand lifted a little, "Uh... Hi... red hair girl?" head ticking to one side and then the other. How to respond? Unsure.

"I'm Billy?" pausing, spying Scar-Chest McGeneticspecimen. Looking down at himself, looking up and around. The mighty ribcage boy! A bit to nibble lifted to taste while his towel is pulled down a little, the pool eyeballed. "Floating is the easy part?" holy moly.

Wally West has posed:
"Irie!" It might seem odd to people that someone who looks not much older than her is called dad, but then again, there are immortals and artificial people out there, so it could be that kind of situation. Its actually a time-travel situation, but that is even more confusing. He also heard something about eating and swimming, but it was more of a warning. He isn't sure enough in it to nag her about it though. Prerhaps it works differently for her. "Its sort of like crawling on the water, but only just fast enough not to sink entirely. Well not really, but sort of. I dunno its kind of complicated to describe if you've never seen it before."

Wally feels kind of bad for Billy. He appears to be a normal kid in a school with super heroes and billionaires. He might be the child of some ultra wealthy elite Wally has never heard of, or a student of a secret magic school, but he looks like a normal kid. "Hey Billy. You're doing well here I hope. No one's giving you trouble?"

Speaking of the rich elite, there is Doctor Pym. "Doctor Pym! Fancy meeting you here. What're you up to?"

Irie West has posed:
"Hi Billy, I'm Irie," she says, introducing herself. "I'm kinda new here, too. Just started a week before spring break. You're lucky. You got here during spring break so you don't have any homework or anything that you have to do during it."

With the attention span of a hummingbird she looks in the direction Wally calls out and spies Hank. "Hi, Dr. Pym!" she calls out to him waving to catch his attention.

Turning back to Billy she motions to the pool. "Wanna get in?"

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike sees the incoming pizza arrive
So he goes over to open the gate.
All the pizzas were paid for in advance.
Tip is good because the pizzas aren't late.

Rod keeps his attention on the clipboard.
The questions being asked, he thinks absurd.
Government bureaucracy is inept
Damn who wrote this, his job should not be kept.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym gives Damian a wave in acknowledgement as he walks away, noting the scars and visualizing possible causes. "Mr. Wayne." He senses a kindred spirit there somehow. He waves to Morrigan, Mike and Rod, "Hey guys, sorry I'm late. Experiment got loose. Again..." He responds to Wally's loud greeting with a handshake. "Wally, how are you? I wait... this is your daughter? I should have known.Yes, Irie I will get in in a minute. Let me help Mr. Hannagan with the pizzas." Yes the Flash costume was a dead giveaway but secret IDs need to stay secret, please!

Seeing Mike deal with the pizza he excuses himself and runs over to assist. He grabs several boxes and gives Rod a look from his repetoir: "Set that nonsense aside, Donovan. You don'r have to do what everybody tells you. Just me. Set it aside or I will chase you over hill and dale till the Lord God Almighty couldn't find you with his radio telescope."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan is observing things when she's not reading. It's good to let the kids do as they will. But she notices some of the loud greetings and there is a bit of a smile to that. She gives a wave to Hank, "Hello Doctor Pym, don't worry on it!" she calls to him. She takes this time to rearrange her seating and not look like she's napping on the job.

Billy Batson has posed:
"Maybe no homework, yeah. Big change but a better house to live." pausing when Irie moves on to Hank, brows lifting and then head jerking slightly when he is the focus once again. Swallowing and looking to the pool before back to Irie before ducking his head,

"Yeah, sure!" motioning to take any towel or the like for her before they inevitable passage towards the pools edge, "So did I hear right, you can't swim?" brows lofting again, but more from intrigue than from surprise at the sudden shifts of Ms. West and her particular ways.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Boxes aquired. Mike starts to turn. Craning his head around the stack before his vision is fully restored by Hank attacking half the stack. "Thanks Hank." Mike states as he follows the rather energetic doctor. "No worries on being late. Things have been relatively quiet here." As they set the boxes on the waiting table, the musician lifts up his scarred arm up to wipe back some hair. Hmm. The other hand goes up to help resecure the hair.

Glancing up mid grumble as Hank tells him to ignore the task at hand. The doppel gives a half smile. Rod looks down to the clipboard, calmly clips the pen to it, and then chucks it over his shoulder, smacking it into the frame of the sun shelter. The smile turns full as he hears the satisfying clang of metal tab hitting beam. "That was the stupidest questionaire yet." He observes, turning his body to a more sitting position. The smile fades ashe turns his head, bending down to retrieve the clipboard. Probably should put that in the bag.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym moves over to where Morrigan is sitting after admonishing a student to take one slice at a time. He grabs some salad on the way. He eyes the pizza hungrily then shrugs. "I have to watch the waistline. My outfit is very unforgiving. This is not a cheat day." He smiles a little. "My friends can all eat whatever they want and will probably live forever. Okay well Tony still has to get in his armor. He'll probably download himself eventually. I mean I could probably do that too... no diving through portals, okay?" He focusses on the salad after this admission. Avengers are not supposed to worry.

Irie West has posed:
Her father, now forgotten, is left behind as Irie escorts Billy to the pool. "Nope. Never really had a chance to learn. Got in deep over my head the other day and nearly drowned if it wasn't for Mike over there," she says pointing a thumb at the man in question.

When they get to the pool, Irie dips a toe into the water and immediately retreats. "Brrr," she says, shivering. "The water is cold."

Wally West has posed:
"Better house? What kind of accomodations do they give you and where did you live before?" He had assumed there was a dormatory, and wherever you used to live would have to be really bad for a dormatory to be better. Was that a huge assumption? Perhaps. He supposed he was about to find out.

Wally heads over to sit with the gathering of adults as apparently it is now time for the kids to hang out. perhaps now might be an opportunity to get to know the director of the school his daughter (eeeghhh that is still weird to say. He was out celebrating one of his friends. 21st birthday just a day ago, and being a dad, just sounds so old.) is attending. "So how is school- keeping? running? whatever you call it."

Billy Batson has posed:
"Well, we're not going to have warm water unless we're the in Caribbean eh?" setting towels down and looking down dubiously at the water. "Key thing is... relax. When you get nervous you tighten up, so you get tense, then you sink." smiling a little to himself, "I know it sounds like a dumb thin to say, stay calm... but really that's the key to all isn't it?" swallowing.

Impress the girl? What would Freddy say.

Freddy would shove him in the water and make him sound like a chump in front of her.

A nod a half-failed wink that turns into a blush before Billy motions, "I'll show you." and in he jumps, legs curling up as he goes to send up a wide splash in the middle ranges. Not shallow enough to wack his rump on the ground, but not so deep he's not more than waist high when he comes back up.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a look up and over when she sees Hank incoming and there's a smile to him, "Hi there." she nods to him, the brim of her hat does a good job of blocking out the sun. She looks to her phone before turning it back over on the towel that's laid across her lap. "You don't seem to have too much of a problem with working off food that you eat." she smiles to the man. "Mike is doing a great job with this. I feel bad for not helping more." she states quietly.

Irie West has posed:
Irie didn't used to be afraid of water, but after nearly getting drowned she's learned a healthy respect for it. She nods solemnly as she takes in this information. Relax. Right. She lets out a breath and shakes her hands at her side, trying to release the tension that's built up in her as she walks along the edge until she finds a place that looks safe enough to jump in. Deep enough that she won't hit the bottom, but not so deep that she couldn't stand.

With that she holds her breath, closes her eyes, and jumps in! The shock of cold water hits her as she is enveloped by it's icy embrace. She gets her feet up under her and stands poking her head out of the water, sputtering. "Yup! Cold! Very cold!"

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym :raises an eyebrow. "Oh uh... nice of you to say. Aheh." He grabs a tee-shirt and pulls it on t hide the red in his cheeks. He gets more serious as he looks at Irie, which is not the usual reaction to Irie.

"I... Irie nearly drowned because I was too big to see her. You think she's all right?" Watching her dive into the water makes him feel a little better. "She seems to be dealing with it. That was fast." Of course it was.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Pizza brought to you by Shaw Studios." Mike offers up, waving a hand in gesture to the food. "Wade sends his regrets for not making it over. But he looks forward to when the work study program starts up." The musician pauses as he overhears Hank's comment, "But she didn't because you had friends watching your back. One person can't do everything. And, she may have been nudged a few times to look into learning to swim. At least it's not a wave pool."

Clipboard secured, Rod busies himself by glancing to the label of each box before stacking the boxes of like ingredients on top of each other.

Billy Batson has posed:
A loud gasp. Yes. Very cold. Billy has overestimated his ability to handle it and even waist deep he is standing there with eyes wide and skin prickled. "ALso... helps... not deep." there are choice words Rosa and Victor would not want him saying.

That he won't say in front of the others.

So Billy opts to look over at Irie "Should've waded from the wading shallows!" trying to laugh and then shivering again, "Hey! Uh... Guy with... You!" pointing at Damien, "Hey, c'mon over here man? We're gonna help Irie learn to swim?" and likely she's going to see Billy next to the kid who has trained all his life. Billy will be the third wheel. But that's fine. At least someone gets to learn to swim?

Damian Wayne has posed:
Damian picks himself up out of the pool, grabbing his towel to dry off a little.

Approaching the table with the food, he looks over the spread, and picking out two slices of pepperoni, along with plenty of chili flakes.

A moment to dust the crushed red pepper over the greasy cheese bread and taking a bite. The teen's green eyes look over the adults, many of the teachers would have possibly heard that Damian was a bit...asocial. Not a troublemaker, just very much not interested in socializing with his age peers. At least, that was what had been divulged to the teachers, hopefully the kid would remember to not fight as a social defense.

It had been that time that Damian had looked to Billy and Irie as he was beckoned. "You use your hands like oars, point your feet out and kick them like fins." The answer was very...matter-of-fact.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a chuckle to that, "Irie seems to be fine...I mean, if she was afraid of the water I'm guessing she wouldn't be jumping in." she admits. "Or maybe we just run at the things that scare us the most." she shrugs. "So is your friend Hercules a lifeguard here as well?" she asks Hank as she takes a sip of water from her bottle. Her sunglasses hide the amusement in her gaze.

Irie West has posed:
Damian's instructions get something of a sour look from Irie, but not having anything else to go on, she's going to give this a try. Point your feet and kick them like fins. This seems easy enough. Use your hands like oars, though? How is she supposed to accomplish that?

She sinks down in the water until she's just kind of floating there, with her feet lightly touching the bottom. She sticks her arms out to the sides and stiffly windmills them around, like you would do with literal oars. This... doesn't produce the desired result, and instead just has her bobbing up and down in the water. Plus this doesn't look like anything she's seen on television either so she knows she's doing it wrong. At least she hasn't gotten a lungful of water yet.

"Uh," she says, turning to Billy as she gets her feet underneath her and stands so she's a head above the water. "I don't think that's it."

Billy Batson has posed:
"Ok. So I'll turn away, you put your hands on my shoulders and let yourself float up, when you breath out you'll sink, float when you breathe in." Billy swallows hard, turning to put his back to Irie, "First learn to float, then learn to kick ok?" deep breath, keeping his footing below and attempting to be a stability source for the young lady.

"Best to do it in small steps - don't overthink it ok?" the kid had foster homed his way across from Minnesota... swimming was something he grew up with - a boon for those for whom it hadn't been.

Hank Pym has posed:
The eyebrow goes up a little higher. Mo must have gotten an exceptionally fresh drink before coming. "Hercules... moves around a lot. He tends to just show up out of the blue. Does a little pop up Olympic event and poof he's gone." Hank makes an expansive motion with his hands to emphasize the poof. He gives a nonchalant glance at Wayne the Younger. Extreme sports or survival training. That could explain the scars. More importantly if he saw a student walk through a wall thinking they were unnoticed, he wouldn't out them. There were a lot of unusual backgrounds at Happy Harbor. You let them be unless they stated they wanted otherwise.

Irie and that new boy were just too flipping cute. Hank allows, "I was never that young." Sightly wistful.

Damian Wayne has posed:
"No, not literally. Palm open, fingers closed." Damian reaches out with one arm, and makes a motion back and forth with his arm, turning his palm as he angles his open palm up towards the way he moves. "Hydrodynamics will push the water downward, giving you lift."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike glances downwards, lips thinning as he hears the inquiry about Hercules. The slight upward edge of his lips betraying amusement. He starts to walk over to one of the picnic tables holding the drinks. Seems as good a time as any to make up a drink

Pizzas sorted accordingly, Rod looks up, feeling like someone is just looking to the gathered group of adults, he turns his head to look over to Damian curiously in time to see the shorter male turn to face the pool. The scars take a bit longer to look at as he tries to judge what caused which wound. Hmm.

Wally West has posed:
"She nearly drowned?" Curse his busyness. And now she was in a pool. Whelp, at least he is he is here. "The idea is you are pushing the water down. The more it resists you, the more you can push off of it." Well maybe that would be better than nothing.

Unlike Dr Pym, Wally does not need to watch his weight in the same way. He is stilll young-- also a speedster, that doesn't hurt. He digs into some pizza. "Yeah, I bet you were born with grey hair and back pain-- I bet if I went back and looked, you were."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan sees that look, "What? It was just a question. He seemed to be a cheerful fellow." she shrugs to that. "And honestly I'm sure some of us missed out on the hugs he was handing out." she muses. "Sad that he doesn't have a permanent residence. But...gods. What to do with them?" she shakes her head. "You're not even old, Doctor Pym." she shakes her head at that. Well...they were older than most there. But, details!

Irie West has posed:
Irie's attention goes back to Damian, and watches him demonstrate and explain. "Ooooohhh," she says understanding him now. Still, she's not quite ready to get there, and Billy's offer makes more sense. Baby steps.

She grabs onto Billy's shoulders and kicks her feet off the floor of the pool, letting herself gently float up. She takes a deep breath, and plunges her face in. She pushes down the first pangs of panic. She wouldn't have been so anxious before the day at the beach. Heck, she was having a good time letting the waves wash over her before that tidal wave hit her and sent her tumbling ass over teakettle. That was the real kicker, just not having any control, and the panic afterwards.

So no panicking allowed! Soon she gets the hang of just floating there, occasionally kicking her legs to keep her right side up, when it occurs to her: Kicking the legs! Like fins!

*splash* *splash* *splash* *splash* goes the feet as she gains forward momentum from her kicks, gently pushing Billy forwards. Success! Flush from victory she gets her feet beneath her again and turns to Damian, "Kick your feet like fins!"

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym relaxes the eyebrow. "Not old... for civilians. For a superhero, I'm past my prime. I can't be amazing continuously. I need to ration it. But I was thinking more of my childhood and adolescence. I was already in grad school working on my second Phd. at their age. So my childhood was very brief. It's like I'm making up for a lot now. Finally. Irie's a sweet kid. Wally is lucky to have her... I'm going to get a drink, you want anything, Dr. MacIntyre? Mike, Rod?"

Billy Batson has posed:
Looking over his shoulder as he is pushed forward, Billy nods, "Exactly - and then as you get used to it, you can start using your hands. Push down and pull yourself forward. That will keep you up and keep you moving." just letting her push him towards the deeper ranges of the pool.

"Keep at it, I'll try to steer ok?" looking then to Damian and offering a thumbs up with expectation for the gesture to fall flat. Because everything so far said towards Damian has been met with reactions based in pragmatism or a disinterest in anyone about him.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Yes." Mike agrees, giving a nod in agreement to Morrigan's assessment as he grabs a cup, "Cheerful." He shakes his head as he grabs a green plastic bottle. "I'm already getting mine, Hank."

Rod looks away from figuring out the scars as he hears Hank's question. "Uh-" He looks over to the picnic table but the packaging seems unfamiliar for a few "...Do you guys have Cheerwine?"

Damian Wayne has posed:
Damian had been two bites into his pizza when Irie and Billy came up offering affirmations. To which Damian just continues chewing like a gentleman, giving a nod to Irie, and a slightly awkward thumbs up to Billy.

"Congrats." He comments, after finishing his bite.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"I'm ancient, yes. But...eh, I'll figure it out eventually." Morrigan states as she looks to her phone. A little sigh is given and she stretches a bit before standing up from the lounger. "I need to make a phone call and stretch my legs. You all don't get into too much trouble." she points at her eyes and then to them. "Irie you're doing great!" she calls to her with a smile as she heads for the exit of the pool area.

Wally West has posed:
"Way to go!" Irie is swimmming. That is good. perhaps now he won't have to worry about her drowning. Lets not be silly, he will still worry, but he won't /have/ to.

At Pym's comment he replies-"Yes, Yes I am." Wally is still uncomfortable taking credit for something he hasn't done yet, but he isn't sure he wants to say that.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym frowns a little. "I have no idea what Cheerwine is. Sorry. How about a cola? We don't have any wine. Heh. I used to scandalize high society by mixing Cabernet Sauvignon and cola at gatherings. Great way to get them to let me alone Cola Jolts are actually pretty good. Keeping the vapid away was good too."

Irie West has posed:
Irie is getting cheers! Yay! "Okay!" she tells Billy, and keeps on paddling along, getting used to the kicking motions, and adjusting her technique so that her kicks are more kicks and less flailing. She lets him steer her around the pool and when she finally feels she's got the hang of it she stops.

"That was cool," she says. "Okay," she says, wiping water from her face. "So we should probably do hands now."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
As Hank confirms the lack of it. Rod's lips tighten as he gives a slight nod. "Yeah kind of rare at home too." He admits, "Bit of a shot in the dark..."

Mike looks to Rod. "We don't have that HERE. But we can probably see which stores stock it later." He sets the Sprite aside, looking to the remaining bottles, "We have Cherry flavored Coke. I think that's the closest we have..." He looks over to Wally, "You want anything to drink too?"

Billy Batson has posed:
"Yep. We'll stay where we're waist deep. Float like you did to hold my shoulders, let yourself float." Billy says as he directs her, headed for that particular section of the pool. "Then like Damian and I said, open hands, closed fingers, push down and pull like you were crawling. Turn your head to the side to breath, don't lift your head. That archs your back and can make you sink down." moving to let her try things out, but keeping close enough to help if she looks like Irie will need it.

Irie West has posed:
Irie nods and wades to the indicated part of the pool, and attempts this whole arm movement things. There's a lot of splashing at first, and a few aborted attempts, but gradually she starts getting some forward momentum without getting water up her nose. "I think I'm getting the hang of this!" she declares, giving Billy an enthusiastic thumbs up.

As the day goes on, Irie gets more bold in her swimming attempts. She seems to be able to pick up the nuances of it, and in no time is paddling around the pool like a pro. (Not literally.) She's even gone out to the deep end once or twice!

Michael Hannigan has posed:
All in all it turns out to be a good get together. The food did NOT run out. And under the watchful eye of her father, two faculty members of her school, two other adults, and two classmates, Irie got some swim lessons.

Later, Hank will find several bottles of cheerwine in the Lab fridge and a happy Rod drinking a red bubbly liquid from a glass.
