Cast of Characters: Ben Grimm, Susan Richards, Reed Richards

Ben Grimm has posed:
Ben Grimm has been away from the plaza for a while, off on one of his solo adventures. Today is had decided to come back home, not calling anyone just showing up. It seems someone has heard he was coming back though. The tell is his hat and the shoulders of his coat are wet with some pink dye. "Russen fussen Yancy streeters." He mutters around his cigar. As he steps off the elevator, he looks around for a moment, and starts removing the coat and hat, to toss them in the latest clean or burn gadget Reed has for a coat closet.

Susan Richards has posed:
"If you're looking for the burn pile, it's over on the other side of that closet." calls out a familiar voice, from roughly behind Ben, rife with good-natured amusement. However, there is no-one in immediate sight. Was that a wash of breeze as someone or something passed by him? The world may never know....

Reed Richards has posed:
The living quarters are festooned with banners and balloons, "Welcome Home Ben!" And front and center is Reed and Sue "Surprise!" "Welcome home Ben so glad you had time for us." Reed chuckles good naturedly

Ben Grimm has posed:
Ben Grimm will smirk a bit, and knows Sue well enough it could be here or just one of her force fields, maybe she is trying to make sure he does not get dye all over the place. He moves to toss the clothes, standing there in dress pants and a button up shirt. He may have to have things custom made, but he normally keeps to his older style. He turns looking at the banners, and balloons, and considers turning around and leaving for a moment. "Well, I figured it was time to come back, and make sure you had not blown up the fantasti-car or anything." He smirks a bit and says "You keeping him from loosing himself in the lab Susie Q?"

Susan Richards has posed:
Indeed, right beside Reed, Sue fades into visibility, looking as innocent as the cat who ate the canary. Her smile is wide as she calls out, "Welcome home, Ben! Don't worry, I didn't let Reed loose with the cupcakes again." It seemed that deed was doomed to live on in infamy in perpetuity, in the annals of the Fantastic Four. "He loses himself in the lab with or without me. Sometimes. But that's Reed for you. And no, we haven't blown up the Fantasti-car. Not yet."

Reed Richards has posed:
Reed Richards smiles, "There is this odd squeak in one of the hover reticulars but I'm sure it's nothing." there is mirth in Reed's eyes as he speaks. "OH! We have got to show you the Singularity, you're going to love her. The ship we'll use if we have to resuce Val and the other GIRLS from their space adventure. We flew it against Zod, it held up amazingly well."

Ben Grimm has posed:
Ben Grimm 's brow raises a bit and says "Val, planning on space adventures with a couple of her friends? Don't they know those things can be dangerous?" Yea he still worries about his family. "I will look at your new ship, and kick the tires, put her through her paces." He looks to them "Figure I am back for a while, anything important I need to know?"

Susan Richards has posed:
"They can be! We tried to tell them, but she's definitely her father's daughter, and every ounce as -stubborn- as he is!" Susan's arms cross over her chest, and she lets out a huff of maternal worry, looking up at Reed. "Are you -sure- there's no way we can talk her out of it? Ben, can -you- talk her out of it?"

Reed Richards has posed:
Reed Richards grins, "We also got a piece of the wreck of a Kryptonian Sunship, so this should be a interesting next few weeks."

Ben Grimm has posed:
Ben Grimm looks over to Reed, a rocky brow raised at talk of another ship. then to Susie, he will tell her "I can talk to her, but as you said, she has her dad's stubborn streak." He does not mention that Val may have gotten it from both parents.

Susan Richards has posed:
"I know she has to leave the nest sometime, but... that's my little girl!"

Sue turns to fix Reed with a 'look' he must surely know all too well, in all their years of marriage. "Just don't let that keep you in the lab, or I'll have to start calling it the 'other woman'!" Even amidst what must surely look like a stinging rebuke, there is good-natured humor. Turning back to Ben, she smiles wide. "Really glad to have you back."

Reed Richards has posed:
Reed Richards blinks and looks around just clueing into this conversation, "Wait? I'm the stubborn one?" Then he is skewered by that look and all frivolity dies away, "I- No-, that's not what I meant. She could never hold a candle to you. Reed takes Sue in his arms and kisses her forehead. "You are my everything, the reason I do what I do." He smiles at Ben , "All of you make it worth it."

Ben Grimm has posed:
Ben Grimm nods a bit to the two, and says "Well, I am going to head back to my room and change, get into something a bit more comfortable, I will talk to Val when I see her." He offers giving the two a chance to be alone so he is not in the middle of the talk.

Susan Richards has posed:
"Oh, no you don't, Ben! You're not getting away so easily!" Sue turns back towards him and smiles, even as Reed is taking her in his arms. That kiss on the forehead draws out her smile once more, and she reaches for their mutual, very dear friend. "Nobody said you had to go. Please, stay out here a little while longer? Tell us all about what you've been up to while you've been away!"

Reed Richards has posed:
Reed Richards smiles, "Yes, Ben let us know as much as you can. I know you get pulled into those covert things with your war buddies. "

Ben Grimm has posed:
Ben Grimm looks over to them, and says "Great Aunt Petunia's grand daughter and namesake needed a bit of help. I needed some time, and she needed some help, so it worked out well."He looks to them, and says "Spent some time out in the desert helping them, and did run into a few odds and ends, but nothing I could not handle."

Susan Richards has posed:
Sue smiles at Ben warmly. "Sounds like everything worked out alright, then. If you ever need or want help, you know we're there. That's what family does. Just ask." She reaches out to clap Ben on the shoulder and nods. "And we're honored you're part of ours."
