Cast of Characters: Jimmy Hudson, Gabby Kinney

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
Jimmy is rummaging through the refrigerator at the moment. He's already got a number of sandwich fixings laid out on the counter, and seems to be in the midst of creating a fairly epic sandwich. He comes out with a container of roast beef and starts adding it to the sandwich.

When Gabby comes in, he looks over and grins, "Hey there sis, how's things? Haven't run into you in a little while now, anything exciting going on?"

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney slip in through the door that leads to the backyard rather than from further in the mansion itself. For a moment, when Jimmy greets her she freezes... Perhaps because she's got a small pile of plates bundled up in her arms that she's clearly brought back from eating somewhere else. Seeing that it's him though she lets out a breath relaxing again with to offer a bright grin. "Jimmy! Yeah I've just been around." The stack of dirty dishes is carried to the sink to pile in. It's enough dishes for two people easily. "Nothing going on really, nope. How're you doing? Heard something came up the other night?"

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
He raises an eyebrow, looking at the plates, but lets them pass without comment. He continues building his sandwich while answering her, "Yeah, apparently I'm an X-Man now. Got a suit and everything." He grins a little, cause well, it's kind of cool to belong. "We rescued some folks that has been hijacked. It was.. well, it was kinda frightening, honestly, but cool to be helping people too. I think I need to work on my combat skills if I'm gonna be doing this though."

Jimmy grins, "And that was a really quick no, little sis. You sure you haven't been up to anything? I'm not in teacher mode right now, I'm just raiding the kitchen here."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
If anything the plates don't smell as if someone else had been using them. It all smells of Gabby. Maybe she was just really hungry or hadn't cleaned out a stash in awhile. Either way she sets to scrubbing them absently while listening. A grin is cast over her shoulder in response. "Yeah? That's cool! I've got a suit but I kind of made it myself. I mean. I've been on a few missions and stuff but I'm not officially part of the X-Men. Age thing I guess?" It didn't matter to her, so she shrugs. "I still join in when I can help."

Busted? A light cough comes and she shrugs again with a little extra scrubbing action. "Uh, nothing really? I mean nothing *bad* just..." A breath is puffed out to blow her bangs out of her face. It wouldn't hurt to tell him. "Bellona was in the area. We try to meet up once every month or so. She's my sister. The only one left from my clone batch. She's older, and didn't get the X Gene so she kind of does her own thing."

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
Jimmy shrugs, "See, I can't see any problem with that. Last I checked, there weren't rules against staying in touch with family. Heck, I think it's a good thing to have family. You'll have to introduce me sometime." He puts the finishing touches on the sandwich and starts putting away the various ingredients. This done, he collects the sandwich and takes a bite.

"Pardon my eating while we talk, I got a little blown up earlier and healing tends to make me hungry." He chuckles, "I seem to have fallen into an interesting life here... Shot the other night, blown up this afternoon, I don't know how the folks who can't heal deal with it day to day."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney smiles in response to that. "I'd like that. I can pitch the idea to her. She's got a bit of a temper problem though and finds it hard to trust people, but I don't blame her." Finishing the dishes she reaches to snag a towel. "Just I kind of sneak her onto the edge of the grounds when we meet up. I don't want to cause trouble." Mention of being blown up earns a little grimace. "Ew. Yeah eat up. Even I need to eat like a ton when I heal, even if I don't feel it. You want a steak or something? I bet there's a few in the freezer."

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
"I'll start with this, then see how I'm doing. Think I put about a pound of lunch meat on it, so it's fairly solid." He takes another bite. "And yeah, from what you said about your upbringing, I can understand how she'd have problems with trust. It's not a huge thing, whatever keeps her comfortable."

He looks over at her, "Hey, maybe you can give me a little hand. Since I'm gonna be an X-Man, I'm trying to figure out a code name like they all have. I feel kind of silly when it's 'Storm, Beast, Shadowcat, Jimmy'. So I'm trying to come up with something cool."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney heads to the fridge herself regardless to swipe a Coke out of there. A quick flick of her fingernail cracks it open, and she makes her way over to join Jimmy by grabbing a seat. "Yeah, but I want her to get better. There's people she can trust here." The suggestion earns a nod though. A quick chug of the soda, and she fixes her attention at the new issue. "A code name is tricky, yeah. I went by Drop Bear for awhile because I got to ride in a jet at an airshow and picked that as my codename. It works still sometimes." Here she regards Jimmy thoughtfully. "I guess I'd have to see how you fight to get the best idea, but 'animal' type names seem to be big in our family. Kinda. Wolverine and all. But you're all blonde. Maybe Bobcat?"

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
Jimmy chuckles, "Well, as for fighting, I'm more of a brawler than having any real training, I've just been working out ways to bring the claws into it, though so far I've managed to avoid actually killing anyone. I've never really been the violent type, just kind of learned to take care of myself."

He considers for a moment, "Bobcat isn't bad, actually. I'll do a little research and see if anyone is using it or not, but I just might run with it if not. I kept thinking about things like Grizzly, but I'm not fuzzy enough to pull that off."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney wags a finger at Jimmy's hesitation. "Grizzly is good too though! You don't have to look the part completely. I mean I don't look like a Dropbear, do I?" Not that the fictional vampiric koala bears actually existed. "But along those lines would be good. And," she hastens to add with her own grin growing, "There's nothing wrong with not killing. I'm trying to avoid it, too. Laura and Logan have a rep for that, but they both try to avoid it as well. Just harder for them, I think. They got it way worse than I did without anyone to look after them."

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
He nods, "Yeah, I mean, I grew up fairly normal except for being able to heal, I was a substitute teacher. I'm not exactly the killing type. I mean, I guess I could do it if I absolutely had to, but like in this mission thing, I just slashed up the guns and knocked out the guards. Well, to be honest I wounded a couple of them, but I was going for hands and legs, just little disabling things."

He takes another bite of his sandwich, "Ended up taking 3 bullets to the chest anyway, so I ruined my nice new uniform first time out. I'm guessing they probably go through a good number of the things, honestly." He shrugs, "I still think I like Bobcat better, but I guess I can keep Grizzly as a backup if Bobcat's taken."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Oh, yeah, suits get a run through. Even mine do. Though let me make a suggestion that everyone else in our family seems to avoid--Body armor." Gabby thumps her fist against her chest. Though she wasn't wearing it right now, it was a part of her own chosen suit. "Yeah healing is great but that doesn't mean you have to NEED to heal every time. Avoid what you can, you know?" She does seem a bit pleased he's considering the idea she came up with. It at least earns a deeper grin. "Cool. And you can always change it if you want, too. I was thinking of 'Scout' for awhile myself. I'm good at that. I can get into small spaces."

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
Jimmy nods, "Body armor makes sense to me. Getting shot hurts, even if I am gonna heal up afterwards. I can do without that if possible. Wonder why the others don't like armor, seems like it would make sense. I mean, do people like getting shot or something? I found it generally an experience I'd rather not repeat."

"So, sounds like you're still trying to decide on a name as well. So you've tried out Drop Bear and Scout for size, do you actually like either of those, or are you still thinking about it?"

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney spreads her hands in a helpless shrug at what the others do. "Could be a movement issue, or might hurt some of their powers. Or I figure it's because they don't really have any kind of military type training. I guess I had para-military training? A lot of the guys at the labs were ex military at least. Mercenaries and stuff. So what we were taught were a lot of the same techniques mixed in with martial arts and the like." It was her best guess as to why so few here opted for any kind of protective gear. Mention of the name as her slump in her chair a bit. "Yeah, a little. Dropbear was silly and fun, Scout is just blaaah. I mean they work in a pinch and all. But not quite right for me yet, either, I think."

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
"Well, you seems to be better at names than I am, but I'll give it some thought anyway. So you also heal, you've got the claw thing going, any other powers we can factor in?" He's been working steadlily on the sandwich and finishes it off. "Yeah, that seems to have hit the spot." He moves over to the sink and cleans the plate and knife he used. "So feel free to swing by if you ever want to talk, they got me a room in the teachers hall and everything."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Not really. I mean other than fighting in general and knowing how to diffuse simple bombs and stuff," Gabby puts forth. "And shoot guns. They don't like that here though." The Coke she had is finished off so she slips out of her chair. "We can work on names together. Should try to spar sometime, too! I should get going though. I finally have a roommate now, and she's kind of cranky if I show up too late and wake her. Night bro!"
