Cast of Characters: Peter Parker, Shannon Davis, Billy Batson, Winslow Schott

Peter Parker has posed:
Peter checked the flyer and stepped into the conference hall.
Toys were a big deal, and not just because there were kids all over the city that liked them. Those toys that survived regular handling, or weren't even handled at all and stayed in their packaging, could command serious money. And there weren't any kids in THIS toy store. Not when the cheapest toys went for $200.
Peter held up his press badge, then his camera. He had permission to take pictures in here, as part of the press. As long as he didn't get too close.

He had no intention of getting close to any of these. You break the $5,000 toy train, you BOUGHT the $5,000 toy train.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis had come out atop the building she used as an outpost now in a very inconspicuous way. She had only one reason to be down here now, and that was to exercise her powers. She NEEDED to figure out the correct way to use them, and the best way to do that was by using them. The extra best way was using them in a very serious situation, even better if she was in mortal danger. The thought itself made her tingle with excitement.

She reels down using her climbing rope and sets off into the streets, rapidly coursing the city and listening in for police activity, loud fighting noises or running civvies.

Billy Batson has posed:
Much easier to get here this way than the train or otherwise - One fist out, trying the 'Superman' flight Billy is soaring above most roofs, trying not to draw attention, no lightning, now showmanship. Only an eye on his surroundings and the wind in his face. What better way to spend a day out of class?

Well unless he caught sight of a local hero and tried to get some podcast time in. But this is good enough.

Winslow Schott has posed:
The Third Annual Toy Collector's Expo was a small, but very well-known event. Every year, collector's from all over the state would arrive and examine the latest collectables available for purchased. Among the headliners this year were first edition My Precious Unicorn toys. These however, were not the well-known Unicorn dolls, these were from the very limited edition Villain action figure series. This series, which were based off of the villains from the MPU cartoon, were created by Winslow Schott shortly after the cartoon aired as presents for a lucky group of contest winners. Due to their extreme rarity, these action figures became very rare, and highly sought after.

Tonight's figures were based off of two villains in particular. One was of a tall, gaunt, and very thin man dressed as a prohibition gangster. The figure was, bizarrely enough, painted black and white, like a old Noir movie. The second was a almost steampunk looking cyborg dressed as a mad scientist. These two figures were of Ice-Pick Gargen and Dr. Gloom, two of the cartoon's most infamous rogues, and two of the rarest action figures in the series. According to the display underneath them, they were worth over 20,000 dollars.

Suddenly, very loud buzzing fills the air, one that would be very familiar to Spider-Man at this point. The buzzing is closely followed by the front doors being blown open, revealing a fleet of miniature toy planes, who immediately begin to fly around the convention, emitting a very loud, very painful, high-pitched wail. As this is happening, a group of men wearing ear muffs rush through the door and immediately rush for the Villain Action Figures.

Peter Parker has posed:
Peter blinked. Suddenly, he felt VERY overdressed for THIS occasion. Blame the Parker Luck.
He ducked into the bathroom, glad the handicapped stall was vacant, and began switching out of his work clothes and into his WORK clothes.

One of these days, he was going to have to find a quicker way to suit up...

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis luckily does not have to bother with such issues, as her identity as a powered individual had been very public for a while now. Hearing the bizarre sounds in the distance she starts to pick up the pace, sprinting through the streets and cutting sharp corners through alleyways towards the convention. She had heard something about it so she assumed that was it, that type of gathering was always villain bait. Not that she cared about who was on what side of the law anymore, being wanted herself. The pair of weights connected to ropes she used as weapons are pulled out and prepared for when she arrives.

Billy Batson has posed:
Tiny planes swarming a building, Shazam blinked and was brought up short in air at the sight down below. Lips pursed and staring, "Oh hey someone should do something..." practically hearing Freddy's voice in his ear shouting at him that -he- should do something.

"OH! OH... I." still getting used to it. Dipping and dropping head first towards the ground, keeping his speed 'normal' for now while he tries to take in what he's seeing from the outside. Guys running in wearing... head gear and that -sound- eyes watering and one twitching for the high shrieking buzz assailing him Billy comes up short again, pressing his hands to his ears at first.

Deep breath, Billy. Endurance of Atlas. Deep breaths.

But he's still floating, the panels on bracers and boots igniting and the lightning bolt on his chest blazing to life. "Come on Billy." hands still over his ears. Hesitating.

Winslow Schott has posed:
The men rush past the convention attendants, seemingly oblivious to the heroes quickly approaching. Once they reach the figures they seeks, they very quickly break the display glass and begin to very gingerly grab the figures. Both of these figures are then placed inside a black bag being carried by one of the more bulkier henchmen. The men then begin to repeat the process with the rest of the toys on display

Peter Parker has posed:
"Hey, boys!"
Anyone looking in the direction of the new voice would have to look east...and up. But if you look there, oh boy HOWDY do you get to see the Amazing Spider-Man! (Accept no substitutes.)

"Why? WHY would you rob TOYS? Don't you have enough in your respective ATTICS as it is?" He points to the big guy with the black bag. "I'm feeling generous today. Put the bag down slowly, lay on the ground, hands behind your head...and I won't embarrass you. But if you want to try and get away, then I'm going to have some fun, and I GUARANTEE you at least 25 percent of the INTERNET will be laughing their collective butts off at you. Your choice, goombas."

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis was a thousand percent more angry now that she had to deal with this horrendous screeching from these planes. Nevermind the dudes robbing the place, those things were a crime against nature. There's a loud THUNK from the entrance, a weight goes flying into the air, aimed at the closest plane to smash through it. She uses to rope to snap the weight back and continues, sometimes shooting the weight out like that and other times swinging the weight around in long arcs to try and catch the tricky things. This was good practice at the very least, she didn't get moving targets often.

Billy Batson has posed:
Spider-Man inside, goons inside, Shazam hits the ground outside the doors. No superhero kneel, but a hard descent to shake the ground and summoning lightning to his hands as he goes - flashing lights and window shaking booms to accompany his arrival. Need to make an entrance after all.

Cape billowing out around him, fists on his hips as he steps forward... hey! Rope... lady...? No idea. But that's an intriguing bit she's working with as he makes to block the doors. "Now then! I..." he's got nothing for this. So he stands and tries to look magnificent. Earth's Mightiest Mortal.

Winslow Schott has posed:
The thugs look on in shock as the heroes arrive, especially at Spider-Man. As the toy planes get smashed, a roar suddenly fills the air. The skylights above the civic center crash open, and a tall, very strong looking figure comes crashing through the roof. As the figure looks up, you will quickly disvover that it's a GOLEM made entirely out of LEGO's. The golem roars and shoots lasers from it's eyes towards Peter.
