Cast of Characters: Felicity Smoak, Thea Queen

Felicity Smoak has posed:
Rumor has it that it's actually beautiful outside. The sun is shining, it's made it to a warm 84'F (20s C), and people are actually out and about!

And down in the 'basement' of the Queen mansion, with no windows, sits Felicity in front of her multiple screens, her several keyboards, and with each keystroke, she's peering at the results behind rectangular glasses. Shaking her head, her words are soft as she talks to the empty room, "Sure.. track the big guy.. he's really boring. Bar for a six-pack, home again, to the pet store .. oh, wait.. oh, hey. Lottery ticket?"

Felicity sits back, and her fingers seem to dance over the keyboard, and with a smirk, hits her keys with a deliberate *click*.

"That's right, you're a loser.."

Nothing like hacking into the State Lottery system!

Thea Queen has posed:
Thea can confirm that it's actually beautiful outside. Sunny, no clouds. Just that kind of perfect Spring day. It's also horrible for her headache to see all the sun and rainbows outside, and all the smiles. Ugh..

Which is why she sheltered herself indoors after her morning workout. Or should we say dawn workout? Because waking up at 4.30am counts as pre-dawn right? And damn right she was going to get a drink. Because she is a morning drinker. A strong glass of ..., orange juice? Yea, no going back to old habits..

Thea finds herself drifting towards the cave, the code punched in, her soft steps barely heard on the floor, bare of shoes. Most likely unnoticed by the lottery ticket voyeur by the computers.

Not finding her brother in might be a relief. Her eyes search him, perhaps he is lurking behind the salmon ladder.. No, not there. But good, means it's just the girls this morning. "Did I hear six-pack?" she did.

Quiet steps bring her to stand next to Felicity's desk, she resting one hip against the side of it. Another sip.

"I could ask you how long you have been sitting here. But I might be afraid to know the answer..." Thea? Afraid?

Felicity Smoak has posed:
There is no entrance to the 'Arrowcave' that Felicity doesn't have on surveillance. Perfect paranoia is perfect awareness, after all. So, it's no surprise to hear Thea's voice, though it is a surprise. A pleasant one.

Felicity has her rolly chair (she'd insisted upon one, because.. rolly!) and she spins around in it, nodding her head quickly in advance of her answer. "National Bohemian, light. Serious loser. So, he deserves losing the lottery." She smiles her greeting, then, and follows the younger Queen's progress to the tables.

Her chair follows the pace, and when Thea comes to a halt, Felicity is facing her, her smile still easily present. "Yeah, well.. I think this chair is officially mine. Butt print and all." Still, she doesn't //sound// like she minds, overmuch anyway.

"Never let them know you're afraid," she whispers conspiratorially seconds later. "Besides, I think I'm going to leave in a little while, get something to eat. I have to drive my mother," guh, "to the trainstation. She's leaving today. Thank. Goodness."

Blue eyes partially obscured by lenses look to Thea, and brows rise, "What's plans for the day? Promise I won't tell your brother... if you don't want me to, that is.."

Thea Queen has posed:
Thea is dressed in a blue-tinted tank top today, one that shows some navel, down to some dark loose pants and of course no shoes. Because she is home. Or A home. In a way, this has been more home than it is now. Though it also has been less. She walks alongside Felicity, over to the table. "Do we have a butt print reader? Knowing Oliver, we might.." She says of her older brother. Never miss an opportunity for a ribbing! Specially if he isn't around.

"But consider it butt stamped then..." There, it's official now. And she is finally perched against the side of that table, a peek given to the screens and the figure there. She scrunches up her expression. "I can speak from experience that sometimes abs make it all worth it but .., you are right." and she was done with losers too. God knows she had her few during her 'dark years'. No more!

"And ..., might go back to getting things ready at the Verdant.." a pause as she looks up, eyes trailing to where her suit is, the dark and red one. One she hasn't picked up in ..., a while. "Just came back from Gotham last night, needed a few days out." and it certainly doesn't seem as if she is up to being back in Starling just yet either. One hand runs over her short-ish hair and she exhales before smiling. "It's a mother's prerogative to drive us crazy, isn't it?" she knows well that feeling. Moira can be harsh!

Felicity Smoak has posed:
Felicity looks around the moment Thea mentions 'abs', just because. Oliver has some //amazing// abs, but! Shhh.. and she can't help but look. He puts them on display, so he deserves the ogling. Obviously not finding the object of her search, she settle back into her chair. "Abs make everything better," she agrees. "Like.. almost can forgive cheap beer." Beat. "Almost. But, so not interested in //those// abs," and she points to the screen once more. "He's just someone I'm keeping an eye on." Because.

She changes her particular topic, and still leaning back, brows rise as some T is dished. "Gotham? Why, because our muggers and thieves aren't good enough anymore?" She's teasing, of course. "But, yeah.. I get it." Pushing her glasses back up her nose with the back of her hand, she smiles a touch tightly; her feelings about Moira may not be the most widely known, and she'd never speak ill, but!

"Your mother takes that perogative to be a given right. At least sometimes my mom can be talked off that ledge. She just thinks I don't date enough and I don't dress to catch anyone who'd want to date me."

Mothers!

Thea Queen has posed:
Oh yes, Thea knows that look. The 'Where is Ollie' look. But this Ollie doesn't have glasses and a beanie hat, nope, just abs. So both eyebrows shoot up without hiding her amusement about Felicity's reaction. "Should I go do a couple of push ups on the salmon ladder?" No big brother, but there's the young sister. Not that abs can be compared. Even if she isn't the soft-skinned belly of before after she began training with Slade..

And lets not talk about his father. His real one.

But right now she doesn't have to think about that, instead eyeing the screen again. "What's the deal with abs-man anyway?" the guy has a name now. Villainous super-name? Or maybe it's just her own way to try and get a bit more involved again. Without his big brother being around and looking all hopeful that she will pick up the mantle again. She would hate to be a disappointment .., again.

"Just a change of scenery." She says about Gotham, now sitting more properly on that table (beware, tablets! Or you might just be bumped to the floor!). Elbow rests on knee and she places her chin on her hand. "We will never meet their expectations.." it's a fact of life! Then she watching Felicity and her clothing with a critical eye, thoughtful. "Well, we can work on that." she teases, "I will just have to drag you out with me some night and we will have fun. I bet we could find you a ton of guys. And abs." lots of abs. She winks.

Felicity Smoak has posed:
Felicity laughs and shakes her head. "I don't doubt you could do it, but I don't want Oliver to start expecting it of you," that salmon ladder, that is. "Not me. Not my thing. I sit here, be the brains and just watch from afar."

If there is one thing that Felicity isn't is shy about the fact that she's smart. Admittedly smarter than Oliver, certainly. Thea has some serious smarts, just never truly applied them until recently.. and the young woman is a natural businesswoman. She just needs the opportunity.

"Abs guy.. he works for the chemical plant outside town. Sterron Pharmaceuticals. He's the sloppiest guy I found with the highest bit of access. So far, from him," and Felicity leeeeeeans and taps a key, bringing the man into closer view, "I've gotten his ID, passwords, his schedule, his driver's license, and how much he pays, or not pays, in alimony and child support." Her own words seem to distract her as she spins around, "Which reminds me," she murmurs as she brings up a bank statement, "He owes.. damn. He can only afford National Bo. Okay.. bench warrant it is," she says as she shuts the bank connection down.

Spinning back around, Felicity is more than ready to catch any tablets, should their continued working be threatened by the onslaught of gravity. She lifts a hand to push her glasses back up, at the same time, her brows rise in prelude to a question. "Seriously? I mean.. you really think? I-I-I mean, I don't expect them to actually be smart..." But abs?

Felicity exhales in a sigh, and she nods, "Abs..."

Thea Queen has posed:
"I think Ollie expects it of me already." Perhaps too much? At least in Thea's perception. All the pressure. But those eyes stray away from the salmon ladder to rest back on Felicity, watching as she goes about saving all those tablets from meeting an ignoble end by meeting the floor. "And you should give it a try sometime." the salmon ladder? "I am sure my brother would look at you." but for what reason?!

Not that she explains further, that knave, instead just smiling in that enigmatic way of hers that can be just as infuriating as it is endearing.

Still, when Felicity starts going about what she has on the man she arches a brow again, looking at the screen. "You know his whole life." people that used computers were scary. It had never been her vocation unfortunately, even if she was smart. But she indeed was more about the business aspect of things than delving deeply into tech.

And she didn't hear a no. Which means yes. "So we are set. I will pick you up, say, tomorrow night? And we will go hit a bar." another wink. "We will celebrate your freedom from your mother with a blast."

What bar will Thea take her to though? Abscity? There's probably one with that name around... Even if maybe not in Starling. But it also meant that Thea wouldn't have to focus too much on her responsibilities just yet... And maybe that's just what she wants too.

Felicity Smoak has posed:
"Yeah," Felicity deflates slightly, "he'd look at me and probably tell me that I failed his city." She can't help but laugh at that, continuing, "And then show me how it's done, which means..."

More abs?

"It sounds like too much work, though. That whole.. physical thing. I think I'm allergic to it. See, I think we have a good thing here. Oliver is brawn, you're brains and .. fighting.. stuff, and I'm just brains. And John?" Well, he is pretty nice to look at too. "He keeps us all safe."

Felicity sighs and turns those blue eyes back to Thea. "The curse of being surrounded by good looking men."

Swinging her chair back around to the screen, Felicity acknowledges the fact that she pretty much knows everything about 'abs guy'. "Him and a couple of his co-worker friends. That's how I'm getting in. Feeling kinda lazy. Spring fever. Besides, these.. feet guys that Oliver had a physical disagreement with wants something in there. So, track what people are touching, and.. oooooh.. that reminds me. Inventory time!" Wheeling forward, Felicity is immediately distracted by remembering a task she had to do. Inventory discrepancies from the other night. Anything missing? Shaking her head, Felicity exhales in an exasperated sigh.

"I hate people who don't actually maintain their inventory levels. Seriously."

She looks up at Thea, her train switching tracks immediately once again. "What? Tomorrow night? I-I-I can-- no. No, I can. We'll go out. But I thought--?" Thea, by all accounts, has been very good! She doesn't want to be the one, the reason to have the youngest Queen fall off //that// particular wagon.

Thea Queen has posed:
Another laugh. Amused. Turns out Felicity didn't understand what she meant with her brother looking at her! Perhaps for the best. And it's not as if she will be correcting her anytime soon. So instead of that she nods slowly. "You all have a place in this team.." keyword 'you', not 'we'! Clearly she is still on the fence about a great many deal of things. But then Thea is getting up to her feet, a bit of a flair on her gestures as she states in a perhaps dramatic manner. "Yes, such a curse... So many men.." a long sigh. Maybe she should had went to drama school.

Yet there is that glint on her eyes that's telling she is joking. For the most part. But she catches on about that second part. "Feet people?" lips pursing together. True enough she had been away for a bit. By choice too, but now here she was getting dragged back in. Yet if they could be in danger could she really step back and just let it all happen? "Send me some of those details. I could try asking around..

Even if the talk of inventory makes her remember that she really should get back to the Verdant and run a new one. "I need to go back to the Verdant. Give it to you to remind me of inventory levels.." a soft chuckle before her expression sobers a touch at the implication on Felicity's voice.

That she could always fall off. For an addict like she had been it'd be way too easy to go back. And with temptations around ... But she was being strong, for now. "I will drink water and dance my little heart out." she promises, "Besides, you will be there to keep an eye on me too." that settles it. She rests one hand on Felicity's shoulder, "Take care, and tell your mother I said hi." she starting to walk out, offering over her shoulder. "And that I agree with her!" boo. Never side with the mothers!
