Nia Nal has posed:
Visions are odd things.

Seeing the future is...complicated. Nia had come to New York under the guise of a work trip, but in actuality a number od dreams had led her here. She'd pieced together the clues of the dreams to work out that the woman in her dreams was going to be in SoHo. She'd never been to SoHo, but some googling did the trick.

So, she'd had dinner with her boyfriend...boyfriend? Is he? She doesn't know, really. Well, she'd had dinner with Peter and his Aunt the other night, and now she was focused on her visions. SHe'd done enough interpretation to figure out that a terrible accident was going to happen, and a woman with blonde hair and a red scarf was going to die. Well, she came to stop it...as she tends to. It had something to do with a crane, so she quietly walked the streets of SoHo, looking.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spider-Man was enjoying the light rainfall as he swung between two tall buildings.

"...I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand...walking through the streets of Soho in the rain..."

Okay, different SoHo, but still counted.
Webslinging helped clear his mind. It was almost a Zen thing, really. He could relax, let his senses stretch out...
And then, the revving sounds of engines.
He looked down to see a speeding Alfa Romeo winding its way through the streets of Soho. Speeding, obviously, but...
Then he spotted the OTHER vehicle behind her, a Dodge Challenger that was jacked in the back. Chasing her.

Nia Nal has posed:
She's so distracted with her thoughts of the crane, that she doesn't even cross at theright time. She starts across the street at one of the cross-walks, figuring she can make it in time. Then, of course, that Alfa Romeo and the Challenger swerve around the corner...heading dead towards her.

Nia, meanwhile, looks up to spot the crane on the side of a building a block down. It looks like they're doing construction at a department store. "Bingo!"

Peter Parker has posed:
Wonder why someone is doing a Fast and Furious in SoHo...then again, the characters from those movies were preactically superheroes anyway...

Then all indicators swung into the red, and he saw the girl walking into the crosswalk, right into the path of the first car. Street pizza in 2...1...

Nia suddenly found herself YANKED up, her feet leaving the ground as the Romeo's hood bumped against the toes of her shoes. The driver had been trying to avoid her, but the wet pavement converted the turn into a skid, and the car slammed into the side of, as it turned out, a Chinese take-out joint.
Nia was pulled up and suddenly face-to-mask with...a familiar mask, the eyes wide with surprise.
"Nia...? Uhm, Miss Nal?"

Nia Nal has posed:
She squealed as she was yanked into the air. She was so focused on the crane that she had no idea what was going on. Arms reflexively go around Spider-Man's neck and she curls against him to hold on.

"AGH! Spider-Man?? What the hell?" Then Nia glances down to see the accident, and she winces. "Oh. Um..." She flashes him a rueful grin. "...Thanks."

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey carried Nia to the far side of the street, landing with much more grace than her lift-off. "Stay here, Miss Nal. It ain't over yet..."

A woman stumbled out of the Alfa Romeo. A young blonde woman, red dress, smudged makeup. She had that scared-rabbit look.

Then the guy got out of the Challenger, and Spidey saw why. He was tall, handsome, three thin scratches on the left cheek marring the hero-stud look.
He had a pistol in his right hand.
"Come on, Aly...look at all the trouble you caused. But just come home right now, and I'll forgive you for everything you've done..."

Nia Nal has posed:
She straightens herself and brushes herself off once Spider-Man steps away. She looks to the conflict and considers manifesting some dream energy to take the guy down, but that would just out her. So, she steps back and lets the superhero do his thing. This is his turf, anyways. Nia glances towards the crane. "Hey, Spidey? When you're done can you web that crane up enough that it won't budge all day?"

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey nodded, but he seemed slightly distracted. It was the gun, of course.

The blonde shrank back as the man advanced, looking to Spider-Man. "Please...help..."
The man stopped, but didn't look anywhere but at the woman. "It's okay, Spider-Man...we're just having a private disagreement."
"It's too LOUD to be PRIVATE, buddy."
That caused the man to stop. "I...gotta show her how much I LOVE her, man."
"Yeah, the gun in your hand just SCREAMS romance. Give it up, little man, drop the manhood extension, and..."
Yep, insult his manhood. That worked like it always did. The man turned, aimed the gun at Spider-Man, and then he was covered in webbing and teetering on two suddenly-unsteady feet.
Spidey walked up to him, removed the gun, then tapped him on the head and he fell down, the webbing cushioning his fall and gluing him to the sidewalk.

"Sad." He dropped the webbed-up pistol to the sidewalk a few feet away, gluing IT to the sidewalk as well, and then waved to the blonde. "Calling the cops now."
Twenty seconds later, Spidey was walking back towards Nia, looking at the crane she indicated earlier. "What's the deal with that crane?"

Nia Nal has posed:
Nia whistles softly as Spider-Man takes the man down so swiftly. She claps a bit and then glances towards the crane again, taking a deep breath. "Okay, so, you might think I'm crazy, but..."

She steps in close, her voice low enough to keep the conversation private. "I get visions. Really. I see the future and I spend a lot of time stopping bad things from happening. That crane is going to be involved in kill a girl today. Blonde girl with a red...scarf..."

She glances past Spidey to the woman he just saved, squinting at her wardrobe.

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey looked at the woman. Blonde hair, red dress...no scarf, though. Something like a choker, but black.
"If so, it hasn't happened yet." He looked to Nia. "Let's go check out this crane."

No "Are you sure?" or "Missing your meds?" Spidey believed her, or at least was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.

"...and no, I don't think you're crazy."

Nia Nal has posed:
She visibly relaxes when he tells her he believes her. Outside of her family and Supergirl, that's a rarity. She nods and steps in close. "Do you, um...swing us up there or something?" She clears her throat and looks a bit awkward.

"...Or do we walk?"

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey hmmed. "Let's head up to that building across the street first. Get a better look at the crane without interacting with it directly. Let's try not to trigger any nodal points of probability." He looked back to Nia. "You don't get motion-sickness, do you?"

Nia Nal has posed:
"I don't, no." She nodded and stepped in close to be picked up. "That sounds good. I know it's happening sometime in the next half hour or so. Last big vision I had ended up stopping an attack on a military base..."

Peter Parker has posed:
Spidey slide one arm under her shoulders along her back as the other fired a webline.
Four seconds later, they were swinging up to the marble building's roof. It was rather smooth for rapid acceleration/deceleration, but she got the feeling he's no stranger to passenger-puke.

Spidey placed Nia on the roof as they dismounted, turning to look at the crane. "No initial signs of problems...Spider-Sense isn't ringing any bells." He paused, then glanced to Nia. "I have a certain spatial hyper-awareness. Sense threats, possible dangers, that sort of thing."
