Planning Operation: Deus Vult
Date of Scene: 14 June 2021
Location: Basement Conference Room
Synopsis: Well...there was sort of a plan made?
Cast of Characters: Morrigan MacIntyre, James Barnes, Jovian Anderson, Hellboy, J'onn J'onzz, Roy Harper, Madison Evans, Michael Hannigan, Damian Wayne, Hank Pym

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan's already went down to the lower conference room and got things set up. Dossiers had been put in folders and settled on the table. The projector is set up and the screen is pulled down. While she's not a professional plan maker...they have professional information! Her laptop is set up on the end of the table and there's a few little flashing notifications, she'd get to them eventually.

For the moment she's leaning against the wall outside the room and waiting for people to show up. Dressed in white and black today with her hair left loose since it's past working hours. There's the fainstest hint of bandaging on her shoulder given the Deadite octopus tried to rip her arm off and it's still healing.

"Come on in and have a seat. There's coffee, tea and water. I'm hoping that this'll be a quick meeting so that people can finish doing things they need to do stateside before we ship off." she tells those that wander past.

For those that are not Happy Harbor adjacent, but on the freelance or SHIELD side. There was a call for help with retrieving a former student from a group of whackado zealots in Malta. And who doesn't like Malta?!

And money, money was definitely offered. A LOT.

James Barnes has posed:
Did Bucky draw the short straw? Maybe this is punishment for winding up on the news the other day? Whatever the reason, he's what SHIELD sends to represent - maybe they just don't like Morrigan, eh?
He looks about as thrilled to be here do in the car on the way to be neutered, but honestly? In unfamiliar surroundings with unfamiliar people, he sort of always looks like that.
...but it all changes when he gets to the bottom of the steps.
Bucky stops. His pale blue eyes widen a little, then a little more. He sucks in a breath to snarl it out again along with a single hissed word, low, barely audible, "You..."
    Uh-oh!

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson is here nominally as a mercinary, but its actually at the behest of the Nazca brotherhood. He doesnt need the money, though having a reputation as someone who takes jobs for money doesnt hurt to kill the reputation among the less paranoid conspiracy minded that he inherited a vast fortune akin to Elvis being alive, the Loch Ness Monster or the Bermuda triangle. Plus, it is a lot easier to say "I'm in it for the money" than "A bunch of guys in bathrobes said that I should come help you out" so here he is. He has some tea and sits down.

Hellboy has posed:
Hellboy appears to find the basement easily enough, not quite fashionably late, but no chance in hell of him being on time, tucking that longcoat a little better around his frame as he makes it down the stairs. He grunts a low, "Morrigan. Feelin better from the beastie?", while his gaze shifts to her bandaged shoulder, before finding himself a spot closer to the back of the room to lurk, where there's not going to be anyone bitching about his huge frame blocking their view of the screens and things, arching one big brow at Bucky's reaction.

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
A student in need. Nothing more was needed for J'onn to be there. In keeping with his recent decision to 'be himself', he arrived wearing a button front shirt, nice slacks, smart lace up shoes, and his green skin.

Offering Morrigan a nod and a polite, "Ms. MacIntyre." as he reached the conference room.

He pauses then, looking to the man at the bottom of the stairs with a slight cant of his head. "Is there an issue sir?" He asks calmly, already planning his next five moves.

Roy Harper has posed:
Roy Harper gets his gun holstered one more time and gets all his arrows in a row, using the boy's bathroom to get changed, already familiar with it since he's a student on campus and all. With his mask properly affixed, the redhead pulls up his hood and trots down the stairs, skirting a bit past Hellboy and arching an eyebrow, "Holy schnikes, is that a spicy meatball. Yo, I got dibs on back row," he says, going and grabbing a seat at some distance from the front.

Madison Evans has posed:
It's like ants at a picnic. Only //a//mazing. Bo is carrying a container filled with cookies and other baked goods, and Madison is stalking him, taking a video with her cellphone and giggling quietly as she tails the ant. The giggling, however, turns into a surprised squeak as other ants sneak up on //her// - and hoist her onto their back. "What're you- where are we- DOCTOR PYYYYYM!" But all she can do is ride it out - as the ants drag her into the room, her 'The Sarcasm is Strong in This One' shirt on clear display for all to see.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
A few nights, and a few lectures later, Mike has found himself once again doing something that's not exactly part of his day job. He's attending a meeting that is most definitely not traditional school business and, if Wade had ANY idea this was how Mike spends his time with Mo and Co, he might not have been so willing to go along with the Work Study program. But what Wade don't know won-

Oh right the doppelgangers. Yeesh.

Well he still doesn't need to know about this.

The musician had gotten there early. Being that Morrigan took the time to call him out separately before to talk to him about something but they kept getting interrupted, he figures making the effort couldn't be a problem.

It turns out he didn't need to do that. So he got a water and is making his way in with his appearance a little different than usual.

While his hair is in a pony tail due to the summer heat, it's more of a lazy ponytail. It is loosened considerably, keeping it out of the face but acting as a bit of additional cover for the neck. Just in case the makeup's not doing its job. Sometimes you learn useful skills in the entertainment industry.

Due to the amount of persons entering in the room and the sheer size of Hellboy near Morrigan and Bucky, the musician does get to at least enter the room in relative peace.

Damian Wayne has posed:
One of the first to arrive had been Robin, riding on his Redbird, and screeching to a halt as close as possible, parking on the walkway. His hood was raised, and his white eyelets peering through the darkness.

He comes kitted out for war, cape billowing behind him in a streak of black and yellow, with scallops befitting that of a Bat. "Doctor MacIntyre." Is all of a greeting as he gives. His sword and utility belt affixed on his uniform as only some outside of Titans Tower have seen.

He does not partake of coffee, but does have tea. Standing up hastily almost immediately after he sat, due to the ant brigade bringing in a young lady in a most...unusual manner. His hand releases the sword on his back, know seeing that this was not an attack.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym enters. Sees the large man with the ponytail. Sees his green friend from Mars looking... defensive. Never a good thing. Then Madison is dragged in by Foss Sr. and Cozette. He gestures to the ants quickly to let her down and stop fooling around. His gestures are very concise.

He was told specifically by the Living Legend to let Barnes alone.

Fuck that.

There was the guy.

He already got thrown out of the Avengers once.

It kind of loses its sting.

He walks over th=o the Winter Soldier as his helmet and mask retract and his armored hand goes up to shake his.

"Barnes, welcome. I want to help you if I can. Morrigan told me about last night. I've been there." It is said quietly and there's perhaps a hint of sympathy that usually is not present in those cold blue eyes.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan's violet gaze gets a bit wider as she sees who comes down the stairs, "Oh shit." she mutters to herself as she kicks her flight response to the curb. "This man is going to murder me. I know it." she mutters to herself as she paints on a smile. Then there's Hellboy, "Big Red! Welcome, welcome. If you want to catch a seat...or maybe a wall might do better. I'll be right there." Jovian gets a smile, but he's an unfamiliar face, "Just follow the big red guy. Thank you for coming and we'll have to thank the guys in robes as well." she tells him. J'onn, Roy and Madison all get greetings as well. She does do a double take at Robin, "Oh, hello..." she looks off after him for a moment.

Morrigan's feet lead her towards where Bucky and now Hank are. She gives a look between the two of them, but her gaze goes back to Bucky, "Are you feeling better, today?" she asks him. A beat, "If you are here for the operation for Malta, you're welcome. I know our encounter the other night went badly, but...second chances are a thing if you'd like to give me one." she states as she folds her hands in front of her.

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
J'onn's eyes never move off this strange man that Morrigan approaches, thus he does not yet enter the conference room. He is prepared to defend her. He takes a slow step closer, but other wise remains near the door, prepared to protect those inside if needed as well. He had no idea what was wrong, what the trouble might be, but he was always ready.

Madison Evans has posed:
Madison is giggling wildly by the time she gets to the meeting room - and is trying to film her wild ride to the best of her ability. Yet again - this is something her friends will //never// believe. "We brought cookies!" the girl declares brightly as she's set down, as if she played any role whatsoever in Bo bringing cookies to the meeting. Her cellphone camera scans the room, then fixes on Hellboy as she ends up staring at the red behemoth, her mouth agape. Only then does it occur to her that make she shouldn't be filming something like this - and she quickly pockets her phone and forces her mouth shut.
"Umm. Here, Bo, let me help with the cookies," she suggests - moving towards the ant to help him with the package from the bakery.

James Barnes has posed:
"No you haven't," Bucky snarks to Hank incredulously. He's not even sure what the man's talking about, but he's pretty certain that Hank's not 'been there'. Not where Bucky's been.
But he's here on orders, sent by SHIELD, his new, kinder masters... kinder, but make no mistake, they're still his 'masters', for now.
He returns his attention to Morrigan, everyone else in the room just background noise for now. He has yet to see Mike. "I have a job to do," he states flatly. Well, that's progress right?
<<<WTF, did HYDRA infiltrate Happy Harbor too?!>>>
He turns, he sees Mike, growls...and takes a seat somewhere on the OTHER side of the room. <<If that asshat so much as looks at me cross-eyed.>>>

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson blinks in surprise at that and wonders what the heck happened there, but decides not to make too much of it. Maybe they have some kind of divination ability. Or telepathy. Crap. Dont think about porn. Dont think about not thinking about porn. Dont think about grey elephants in denmark. Crap. This was not working well. He just nodded and waved to Hellboy sipping his tea trying not to think about...well...anything really.

Hellboy has posed:
Hellboy nods his head at Michael when he catches sight of the ponytail and mms, "Smashwolf. Good ta see you got out." With that extra comment made, he folds his arms across his chest and grows quiet, shifting his attention back to pay attention to Morrigan, offering a nod of his head, glancing at the unfamiliar Jovian as Morrigan tells him to follow HB, "Walls'r good, just here ta catch up."

Roy Harper has posed:
Roy Harper kicks up his feet and makes a whistle and turns his head a little bit as clearly something's going on with Morrigan and Bucky and Mr. Pym and all in all, he just sees a lot of flustered grown-ups tryin' to make everything better or maybe make things worse. It would be juicy af if he had any idea what it was all about, but, alas, it's above his age grade so all he can do is sip his proverbial tea and wait for the fireworks to finish up.

"Yo, I'll take a cookie over here, toss me some!'

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson says, "Walls are...good yes." Dont think about walking through walls or black outs or dopplegangers. Lalalalalala. Had the Nazca sent him here at their amusement? Nah, if there were this many heroes here it had to be something important. Well, he was here to bolo things and shoot things not walk through things. He looks at the wall and then shakes his head, sipping tea.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
(Barnes?)

Hearing Hank call out the name, Mike pauses midway to his seat, turning to look in the direction of the conversation. Brow raising.

(...Shit.)

And then he realizes someone else is looking over his way. Turning his head, to see Hellboy offering a bit of a more pleasant greeting, the surprised look fades to a somewhat relieved one.

(Ah the Hell dimension guy. Good to see a friendly face)

Once Barnes makes his way to the opposite side of the room, Mike adjusts his steps, walking back up near Hellboy. "Good seeing you too." He greets, "You know, without the whole portals thing." He offers a hand over, "Don't think we ever exchanged actual names. Mike Hannigan."

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym lets the man go. <<J'Onn... clearly my approach needs work.>> He goes to take a seat by Mike. Bo quietly walks over to Morrigan and thwapthwaps her on the hand with his antenna. //I am here.// D'oh she doesn't speak ant.

Hank sits down, doesn't relax really. He points to Madison and the empty seat next to him. "Come here and sit down and... do not take any photos if you value that phone."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a bit of a stiff nod to Bucky, "Alright Sergeant Barnes. Job to do. Of course." she states as she steps to the side and lets the super soldier do as he pleases. He seems to be alright for the moment...or 'alright' as one gets in his situation. She stands out in the hallway by herself for a moment and shakes herself, letting the tension drain out as she tries to put on the fake smile that she sometimes uses. It doesn't work, so she just heads inside. The door is not closed just in case anyone needs to exit abruptly.

Bo's thwap to her hand makes her look down to the ant with a confused look, "Bo, I'm sorry. Can you go sit down. I need to get through this meeting." she tells him softly.

Then she turns the projector on and a map of an old ruin complex in Malta comes up. "For a quick backstory for those that are new. Last year we had a group that went by the name The Order of St Dumas that was trying to kidnap a student at the school. They were unsuccesful." she tells them. "We didn't hear anything from them for about a year. In that time, this student, Tyler Eddington went through a lot before coming to us. His parents were murdered, I was working privately to adopt him and then we had another attack from the Order. After that, Tyler's guardians pulled him from the school and a few weeks later they were found brutally murdered and Tyler was gone." she explains. She lets that settle in while she brings up a closer view of the ruins.

Madison Evans has posed:
    Toss?
Well, okay. Madison follows instructions, picking up a cookie after she sets the package on the table - and lobbing it towards Roy like a frisbee. She then claims a cookie for herself, and a cup of tea, before taking the suggested seat beside Hank. "Yes sir, I mean, no sir, I mean- err. Of course sir?" Sure. That probably conveys the meaning she was going for. Leaning in towards the man beside her, she stage whispers, "So. ... What's going on?" Then, of course, Morrigan begins to speak - making the question unnecessary. Madison's eyes latch onto the presentation as she whispers more quietly, "Oh, man..."
Her phone she leaves in her pocket and silently vows not to touch again.

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
As things seems to calm down, J'onn steps inside and gives Morrigan a moment to herself. Getting himself a cup of tea, he moves to find a place to sit by Hank and settles in.

When Morrigan enters, his attention goes to her despite all distractions of the room. He remains silent, listening to the catch up story and watching the images on the screen.

James Barnes has posed:
He sits down, stands right back up and finds a wall way in the back to lean on. Bucky's pale blue eyes scan the room, its occupants and lets out a sigh of resignation. <<<What, did they pick these 'mercenaries' from the Mickey Mouse Club Merc Academy?>>>

He shifts a little, crossing his legs at the ankles, arms across his chest. <<<I should be guarding the sphere from HYDRA, not here babysitting.>>>.

Roy Harper has posed:
Roy Harper snags cookies out of the air, giving Madison a thumbs up, "Righteous throw!" he says, munching on the cookie that comes his way and being more than satisfied with the result.

"Hey, I remember that kid. He was a good dude," he says. Roy's been in and out of the school on a few occasions, turning his head and making fingerguns at Mr. Jones or whatever greengenes called himself.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson should freak out about the ant....he really should, but by this point he's been doing this long enough that the demon, the alien or the celebrity super heroes in the room arent going to do it so the ant isnt either, and frankly he realizes this is the first time the weirdness hasnt freaked him out.

Interesting.

He listens and watches, having learned a long time from mission briefings that there is a time for questions but he prefers to get the details first. Strangely, the memories of a secret service career he didnt have come up, eying all kinds of details on the projector working in tandem with his natural security understanding as a mashal. He eyes the ruins, getting details about it he never thought he would. For now, he listens.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym sees Bo look towards him. He nods and the ant sits down near Morrigan. He doesn't relax either. He waves his antennae at Robin as well as other quizzically. As for Hank, he's listening.

<<At one time I would have been... butt hurt, I believe is the term. I've come to accept most of my team mates think I'm useful for doing science work and being the tallest person around when Thor summons lightning. Their loss. Hehheh. But I tried. Do you know Robin? You work with his boss?>>

Hellboy has posed:
Hellboy shifts his weight a little to take Mike's offered hand after a moment of delay, keeping his voice down, "Huh. Mike. Well, yer Smashwolf in m'head now. Know too many Mikes that I wanna punch, and you're pretty decent." He offers Mike a light thump of his fist (the small one, lets not flatten someone in a social gathering!) and adds, "Morrigan likes 'Big Red'...Hellboy, whichever you like." He trails off there as Morrigan begins her presentation, shifting his weight to lean a shoulder against the wall while he focuses his attention for the moment.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Alright." Mike allows for a 'small' fistbump. Can the tiny hand of Hellboy really still be classified as tiny? "Well, middle name's Nick. If that helps." As Hank sits down near where Mike stands, the musician tilts his head to look to the scientist, giving a nod of greeting. He leans forward, "All you can do is reach a hand out. It's up to him to take it. "

He glances back towards Barnes for a moment, giving a sigh before looking towards Morrigan as she goes through the explanation regarding Tyler and the murders.

A thought drifts the the nightmare image brought to mind by the Vizier in the dream realm.

(Focus. You can put up with it for as long as this mission takes.)

Damian Wayne has posed:
Robin watches the exchange with Mo and Bucky. Eyes flowering under his hood. <<Zimniy Soldat...>> His immediate thoughts strayed to attempting the man's life. But quickly quelled down, fighting the knee jerk urge to prove himself.

Tyler, he remembered him, but he had to maintain plausible deniability. "We have had run ins with the Order before, Batman and those before me. We knew they operated outside of Gotham, but I was not aware of their activities in Malta." His voice is gruff, less soft than Damian's. But one may be able to connect some dots if they had a great ear.

James Barnes has posed:
Bucky may look about as bored as kid in the first pew Sunday morning. But he's paying attention. Not just to Morrigan, but to everyone in the room. Their interactions, they're expressions, the things they say. He misses pretty much nothing.
...other than what Robin's thinking. Good thing that.
He's also considering what he already knows about the situation. When he speaks up, his voice is soft at first; not meek or timid, just quiet.
"What're the odds this cult has some ancient book they want this kid to read and bring into living color?" It's rhetorical mostly, but it's a scary thought. "Is there any way his 'illusions' could be made real?" Motive, he's looking for the motive... knowing the motive makes everything clear, right up to the possible danger they could be walking into on Malta.
He pushes off the wall and walks to the front of the class in order to get a better look at the map.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson says, "It sounds like they intend to recruit him. They wouldnt go to this trouble if they didnt intend him for something. Some purpose." He speaks from personal experience in this. "What does this cult specialize in, technology and doctrine wise?" He looks at Robin, "What has the Order of Saint Dumas focused on when they have been in Gotham?""

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"We've got some other issues to deal with as well with this already weird situation. I've tried to scry, but, there's magic blocking things. And I can't get through it. So we're talking about a ridiculously powered sorceror...or something else." Morrigan explains. "Now we've got the layout of the place. But other than that we're a bit blind with what all is going on. I know the group stationed here is not big. So no more than twelve men, but a sorceror or someone that might be summoning demons or other beings kind of ups the level." she admits.

"I'm figuring going in the front door is a little to on the nose or they'll see it coming. Locals have said that there are passage ways along some of the cliffs near the ruins that lead through to entrances in the ruins. Going through those ways might be better to get the drop on them." she suggestions.

"The main mission in this is to recover Tyler, and not kill any of the Order. Maim...knock out, sure. But I'd like them to be turned over to the authorities so they can pay for their crimes." she states.

Bucky's question brings her gaze to him and there's a moment where she's quiet, "You know...I didn't think about that, but yes...he can make the illusions real." she tells them. "And yes, that's a good question. What were they doing in Gotham?" she looks to Robin at that.

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
For the briefest of moment J'onn looks toward Bucky, but they return to the screen quickly even as he reaches out to touch Hank's mind with an answer. <<I have never met Robin until today, though yes I do work with his boss. Batman's family and associates are his own to keep and he is very protective of them. As for your abilities, I have never and would never doubt them. Superior power does not always mean strength, nor the ability to breath under water or fly in space. You do quite well as you are Hank, never question that.>>

Through out his time on earth, J'onn has become accustomed to the chaos that is the multiple minds around him, sometimes thousands, but once in a while something strikes against his soul and causes him to pause, his breath to catch. That nightmare was one such moment, caught and tosses as quick as a breath, but more than enough to cause him to shift slightly in his chair.

As Bucky speaks and moves, his eyes shift again to the man everyone seems to know and dislike, or perhaps is it merely mistrust, but the name does not escape him, the clue he needed and now understood the tension.

"You may be correct Mr. Barnes," is all he offers regarding that before he says to Morrigan. "I am able to phase multiple people through any substance on this planet, keep that in mind as you plan."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan adds for Bucky, "He did sic a Raptor on the school bully while he was visiting...but no one was eaten." she muses.

Roy Harper has posed:
Roy Harper calls out from his place in the back of the room, "Allegedly!"

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson says, "Wait...make illusions real? Jesus Christ he could make...anything. You get an illusionist and you could make any angel, god, or whatever they have as the focus of their cult real. You could bring back the dead. You could create your own nukes. I understand why the Nazca sent me and why they are killing to get him into their clutches. I'm not much good at sorcery....at all, but I can shoot people guarding the sorcerers."

Madison Evans has posed:
"Demons?" Madison repeats in a quiet voice, her eyes going wide as more of the situation is laid out. She looks between the various beings in the room, her eyes wide. And there had been a //raptor// at //school//? "Like, a velociraptor?" she directs towards Hank seated beside her in a quiet voice. Not, it occurs to her a moment later, that that is very important. People have died, and another kid is missing.
She just wish she knew how to help.
Her tea and her cookie both rest in her hands - completely forgotten for the moment.

James Barnes has posed:
Focused now, on the job in front of him, Bucky's pissy-ness with Morrigan seems to be gone... for now, in the moment. "Bigger," he says distractedly even as he makes a gesture at the screen he's studying. Make it bigger, please... its what he's asking.
"This order of St. Dumbasses... they have any prophecies or any crazy shit like that they're fond of?"
...a beat and he repeats, "Bigger. Focus on the roof first." Please! No, who's he kidding, it's not even implied in his tone.

Hellboy has posed:
Hellboy listens to Morrigan's explanation of things and potential tactics, thinking for a moment before he grunts, "Nothing says we can't let em think we're dumb enough to come in through the front door while the resta folks sneak in the back way. F'its a sorcerer, he can still really only focus one thing at a time, right? Heh. Order of Dumbasses. I like that."

Roy Harper has posed:
Roy Harper cackles again from the back, showing the armed bowman to be...well, the shitposting teenager he is underneath all the costume, body armor and weaponry. "Dumbasses! That's friggin' classic, bro! I like this guy! I wanna be on his squad."

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym calls from the back. "I have some bad news... something is interfering with my attempts to contact the ants on Malt to scout for me. It could be distance or atmospheric disturbance. But I have only fragmentary information from here. There are passages on the cliffside as you said. But I'm having trouble with details. Maybe when I get there it will be better."

<<I am aware of my limits J'Onn. Within them I do well. I was referring to other opinions of me. But I don't do what I do for accolades.>>

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson says, "I'm fine with whatever. The tunnel might be ignored, but it might also be trapped and alarmed. Almost every outfit has a security blindspot and if they discount the locals, which most arrogant cults do because its an 'us' vs 'them' mentality, the tunnel might work. Full frontal assault is a good way to get innocent people killed; possibly more than your student." He thinks for a moment and looks at Dr. Pym,"I'm assuming your contact isnt magical? Which is ...it means we're dealing with advanced magic and science." Ideas on the fringes of his mind, an expertise his other self had but he didnt....cant tap. Well thats good, there are limits to that creeper's contact with him, no matter how useful it would be here. "Still that again could be good. If their anti scrying and jamming tech is sufficient, they may believe they can easily detect anyone attempting an entry."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a look to Madison and there's a nod, "Yeah...demons." she tells her. "And yes, it was a velociraptor. One of Tyler's favorite books is Jurassic Park. He wanted to be a paleontologist..." she trails off with a sad look to the door. Then she shakes it off with Mister Bossy Barnes asks for the screen to be made bigger and she goes to do that, focusing in on the roof, "There we are." she gives the man a nod.

Then she gives a look to Hank and there's a frown, "I'm guessing the place is warded to the gills against interference of any kind. Which means we're going to be extremely careful on that." she tells them.

"And yeah, Big Red, things should be easy if we can take out the guards for the sorceror and then get them. We tend to be squishy." she chuckles. "But, I don't want to assume and get anyone killed either." she adds. "Do we want to have two groups? One to go in through one place and the second go in another?" she looks to Bucky and Jovian as she asks this. Since they seem to be good with the maps and things.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike tilts hs head as Morrigan brings up the raptor story again. There are limits to illusions. Usually. But if it's enough to give an opponent pause, it's pretty nice to have for a defense. Sometimes, he wonders if it would have made things easier or worse if he had-

Well of course worse. Look at Tyler.

The impromptu title given out by Bucky does case for him to glance over to him. There's a slight smile before he looks over to Hellboy, giving a nod. Yeah they need to make that the standard name for the group.

The mention of magic blocks is concerning. He's not sure what good he'd be . But... if that could get taken care of maybe he could help with getting people in as well.

Damian Wayne has posed:
"They had focused on cleansing evil, by any means necessary. They had indoctrinated a man, who despite the brainwashing, was a capable combatant, and that is by all standards: League of Assassins, Red Room, Et. al."

Robin turns his head sharply to Roy, and slowly back to Morrigan. He was used to teenage japery, as much as he fought to refuse to partake in any for himself.

"The Order, in my opinion, is mainly religious fanatics gone even more wrong. At least, they are dangerous, at worst, they can be a significant threat by magical means or otherwise." Robin's arms cross in front of him, the leather of his gloves creak with the fists he made. "They will most likely prove a threat, but nothing Zimniy Soldat, myself, and the rest of us cannot handle."

James Barnes has posed:
His eyes narrow thoughtfully as the map grows bigger. With his gloved left hand, Bucky points to the roof, back right corner specifically. "Here. I can't see inside, but I'm pretty sure if I go in here..."
He stops. When he turns, his expression is a blank mask. "What did you say?" The words are directed at Robin and the tone is one borrowed from the very entity Robin just 'summoned'. That tone, that voice has brought ice to many a men's veins in the past.

Madison Evans has posed:
"Wants to be - ma'am," Madison corrects the Headmistress in a chipper voice - flashing her an encouraging smile. Honestly, and upbeat attitude is one of Madison's superpowers. Nothing can stand against it!
Other than that, though, she falls silent, listening to the planning, and giggling quietly at the 'Dumbasses' name. She finally remembers her cookie, and nibbles at it - the cookie freezing in place in her mouth for a moment as Bucky shoots such ire towards Robin. "What did he say?" she stage whispers to Doctor Pym.

Roy Harper has posed:
Roy Harper hops up and darts over near Madison to swipe another cookie, stuffing one in his mouth and answering while wiping crumbs off of his chin, "I got no friggin' idea, but it's set Big Bro off, you can tell, he's ready to throw. Whatever that meant, Robin basically flicked dude right in the uvula, that little thing on the back of your throat? Instant predator response, apex, just K'SNAP, watch out for that venom, yo."

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
J'onn stands up, stretching his legs and slowly walking around the table. His eyes remain on the map on the screen but his intent is entirely different from anything going on with this mission now. Of all the minds in the room, one screamed the loudest and quickly down the others out until all he could hear was the screaming, the rage against an internal cage.

To those watching it looks a great deal like an unintentional action, he stops in a place that places him in front of Robin, blocking James from being able to see him. Into the young crime fighters mind he says, <<Robin, I would ask you kindly not to push the buttons of James Barnes at this time. Thank you.>>

His eyes remain locked on the map as he does this, then slowly shift to James.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson says, "there is no more dangerous cult than the one that empowers itself to cleans the world of evil." He is so wrong about the irony of that statement, but that's for future forehead smacking, "Tbat looks like a good entry point" he nods to Bucky's insight. The man has more experience but that secret service knowledge does come in somewhat handy, "there are likely guards positioned here here and here." he points out what is, to him at least, obvious from the layout of the map.

Hellboy has posed:
Hellboy rolls his shoulder at the suggestion for getting people killed, "We'll be fiiiine. Just a little property damage. Wont be the first time I got in trouble for that." But that's as far as he gets, taking in a deep breath and letting it go in a hrm'ing sigh as he listens to the discussion roaming around the room, his attention gravitating back to the map to study the details a little more closely.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan looks to Madison and there's a soft smile, "Thank you, I get disheartened sometimes with this situation...but I'll keep that thought in mind." she tells her.

Morrigan's eyes dart between Bucky and Robin and there's a bit of a sigh, "Can we get through this meeting without tempers flaring and things. If we're going to do this we need to act as a team, please." she states. She couldn't ban them from infighting, but not in her meeting!

She gives a look over the map and there's a nod, "We'll go in the way that Mister Barnes has suggested then." she smiles to that.

"Hopefully we're dealing with the religious fanatics and not something else entirely." she sighs to that.

"We're going to be doing this rather quickly. We have a private jet to take us to Malta and a place to stay that won't draw attention. I think staying together would be the best option, but I'm not a trained operative in any regard." she admits. "So I might need some guidance from those who are." she looks to Avengers/Shield and others folks in the room.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson says, "As an operative there are advantages to splitting up and multitasking but as a former DND player I would say don't split the party. Not if you dont have to."

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym chin taps and says, "I'd like to try for the cliff side entrances. I have some cliffside images as I said. Perhaps I can shrink, sneak in and find Tyler or at least send more information to you. If I can't get in, I'll head out and I will come knockin on the front door. I can give you a half hour of near Hulk level distraction at maximum size."

He's Hank. He doesn't go with the flow. "The chance to get Tyler out without a fight is worth the risk, in my opinion."

Madison Evans has posed:
"Never split the party!" Madison chimes in agreement - before remembering where she is, and sinking down into her seat, shoving her cookie back into her mouth. Nope. Not her place to really be adding to this conversation.
Looking to Doctor Pym, she stage whispers once more, "I should probably stay here and, umm, handle things on this end," she suggests. "I don't think my mom would like me going to Matla to fight sorcerers. She doesn't even think the Force is really real."

Roy Harper has posed:
Roy Harper sits lotus-style on one of the chairs, "Yeah, that splitting stuff never works in Scooby Doo. That's when the ghosts chase you around through all those little doors. It's only when you get back together and build the trap that you catch the creepy old man in the funny mask. No offense, big guy," he says, fingergunning at Hellboy.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson suddenly realizes that they listened to the argument about DND and are now taking tactical advice from Saturday morning cartoons. Part of him thinks they are doomed and the part of him that has knowledge he shouldnt have thinks this is a fabulous idea bound to increase their chances of success. (Riiiiiiiiiiight...time to see a shrink after this.)

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym looks annoyed. "It's simple, one group is a diversion, the other the main force... we just won't know which is which for a bit."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
(Once again with the lectures...)

Can't really win. He's not even trying to engage the Barnes guy. But still there's that discord that comes from that guy.

He glances back over to Bucky. Whatever nightmares that guy is having can't be good. Haven't seen looks like that since-

When the argument about not splitting up comes into play. Mike shakes his head snapping back to the topic.

"We've got too many people for just one group. Also, some persons might be better suited working separately from others." He looks to the group gathered. "We got enough skills overlap to try both approaches, don't we?"

Hellboy has posed:
Hellboy shrugs his shoulder again and lifts that big red hand up in more of a classic 'hey, I tried' when multiple people seem against someone being noisy at the front door, "Nobody gonna be chasing me around. These goons ain't worth running from," then goes back to leaning on the wall and listening, checking the pockets of his jacket with his other hand while he gets quiet again.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson says, "I'm mainly here to go pewpewpewpewpewpew, I'll leave the phasing to the professionals" He nods to the actual member of the Actual Justice League. "So in one group or two I'm fine either way. For what its worth I can also invoke darkness for ...I dunno...stealth or something."

James Barnes has posed:
Nostrils flare, but his tone never changes when Bucky says, "My name *boy* is Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes, 107th, member of the Howling Commandos..." And Steven Rogers' best friend, but he leaves that part out. "You'd be well served to remember it," he finishes before he turns back to the map.
"Send your best solo man here." That *was* going to be him. He's pointing at the roof again. "Give him ten minutes to either signal or don't and the rest of you go in here. If your solo man signals, go in hot and heavy. If not, he's probably gone," matter of fact that, "Proceed with stealth and caution." He points to an area at the back left corner of the building during that last bit. "There's an old drainage system for entrance."
He points to J'onn. "If you're phasing people through walls, do it here..." He points to as spot near the right side of the building. "Wall's'll be thinner, you can tell by the way they're more faded and worn on the outside, weather's been harder on them. It won't be much of a difference but every bit helps. But I wouldn't do that unless your solo man signals. ...or you can get glimpse inside first."
"Good luck *kids*, I don't work with a team that I don't respect and one that can't show respect."
Bottom line, he's been nothing but decent since he walked through the door once his initial surprise was over... and that jab? Hell no.
Insight offered, he heads for the door.
He calls out without looking back as he reaches the door, "And if all else fails, send the red guy straight through the front!"

Damian Wayne has posed:
Robin's white eyelets look directly to Bucky's eyes. Not moving, not bowing down. By now the adrenaline had started to pump into his veins, feeling that high of danger and excitement. "Excuse me. Winter Soldier, to use my adopted tongue. I have heard about you...your name is spoken in hushed tones in bivouacs. The fell voice on the air before disaster strikes. I too have a name such as..." At that point, Robin had stood up, and J'onn had placed himself in between the two assassins. The mental exchange from J'onn and the verbal one from Mo get two responses. <<Very well, Martian Manhunter.>> His mental voice saying it very begrudgingly, as if he was losing a chance here. He was a viper that just lost his prey. "Indeed. We are on the same team. We must exfil Tyler first and foremost." His actual voice sounding willing to let it drop.

"If you do not plan on a full frontal assault, then splitting up is the way to go, you have two elite assassins, one Martian that can adapt to any environment, this tall gentleman..." He gestures to Hellboy. "My money is on a combined assault. But what do I know? I'm just one of the best tactical minds on the planet."

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson looks RIGHT at Robin knowing who is Boss is and just sort of....blinks. He does not smile. He does not smirk. But he does blink. He has a damn good pokerface. (oooooooooooooooooooooooookaaaaaaaay.....)

Madison Evans has posed:
As Roy appears at Madison's side, she looks towards him - her eyes going wide at his melodramatic words. She nods her head in agreement, as her head turns back towards watching the fireworks which- seems to mean James Barnes storming off in a huff. Well - that was less exciting than anticipated.
Still. She was glad he hadn't given //her// that look.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan watches the meeting dissolve into throwing jabs and the sorceress' anger rises for a moment, then stops. "We're done here. If you want to be a part of this we'll be leaving for Valetta on the 16th. I do not have time for petty bickering. We have a child to save. One that doesn't have anyone else." she states simply. "Now, please have a good night. My number is in the dossiers, please take one with you." she tells those still in the room. "I'll clean this up later." she states.

Then she's heading out the door, not even registering where Bucky has gone. "I'm not following you. The entrance is just the same way." she states in case she manages to run into him.
