Synopsis: Rogue and Atrid meet outside of a pizza place in Salem Center NY.
Cast of Characters: Atrid, Rogue

Atrid has posed:
Atrid stands against a wall near the pizza shop having just finished two slices and drinking a coke. He sets the coke down a s turns his New York Mets ball cap backwards reaching into the pocket of his duster he pulls out a cigarette and using his right index finger he lights it the flame going up passed his forehead. "I need to get a handle in that." He chuckles before turning it and torching some preppy kids laptop bag.

Rogue has posed:
From down the street comes a red Ford Ranger truck that turns in to the parking spaces in front of the pizza joint. It takes the driver a moment to get out, but when she does she puts her aviator sunglasses up on to the hairline of her white bangs framing her face. Her otherwise brown hair flows about the young woman's shoulders loosely as she steps up toward the pizza place. She pauses though as she forgot something, mutters about it, and turns around to walk back to the truck she was driving.

The young woman is dressed in a pair of slim fit jeans, a dark green tanktop and a pair of black gloves that go up to her elbows, though one is lazily bunched up around the middle of her forearm.

She gets back in to her truck and reaches around inside the cab...

Atrid has posed:
Atrid grins as the prep rushes to spill water over the bag. "Crap man what the hell happened my parents are gonna kill me." He whines getting up and moving to run off. "Run preppy run." Atrid calls to the kid as he runs Atrid sticks out his foot tripping the prep. "Have a nice trip preppy boy see ya next fall." He laughs taking a drag off his cigaretre

Rogue has posed:
Rogue is fishing her wallet out from between the seats of her truck when she hears the voice calling out near the store. She closes her truck door and starts to walk back toward the pizza place when she sees the kid shouting after the one running off.

She peers a bit for a moment but just keeps walking toward the pizza place.

She's not a cop, so its really none of her business and she didn't see anything go down that warrants her attention so she just leaves Atrid alone and walks righ ton past him toward the front door of the pizza place, her hair flowing behind her otherwise bare shoulders.

Atrid has posed:
Atrid chuckles and kicks the preppy kid in the rear as he runs off and than raises his left hand unleashes ice that freezes a nearby table and another rich kids phone. "When they get back this will be fun to watch."

Rogue has posed:
Well of course this is going to stop the southern belle from going in to the pizza place... She'd been reaching for the door handle but then stops and looks over at the sound of the power being used openly and flagrantly

Her hand reaches up to her forehead to adjust the sunglasses over her forehead and she stares at Atrid.

"Hey, Mistah." Rogue speaks out to the young man. "What you doin' there?" She asks him, hand on the door's handle.

Atrid has posed:
Atrid looks to Rogue. "Havin' fun darlin' Whats it look like. These roch kids need a lesson in what it feels like to be meek and defenceless." He says taking another drag and flipping his collar up. "You can join me if ya wanna."

Rogue has posed:
The response that Rogue gets has her exhaling as she takes her hand off of the pizza place door. "Well, that's not really how any of this works." She tells him. Turning to face him now she puts one hand on her hip and stares at the teen. "You got some fancy powers, I take it, and you've learned how to use them some, huh? But ya can't go around usin'em like that, because, well... it's pretty terrible. So you might wanna knock it off, before ya get yourself inta some serious trouble." She glances around then. "You piss off some locals and they're gonna call some authorities in to haul your butt to a jail cell."

Atrid has posed:
Atrid laughs a bit sarcastically at this. "Like they did to the normies who did this to me just cause I am what I am." He gestures at the scars upon his face. "Like the cops wanted to protect me then? I really don't think they give a damn." He says with a huff as he takes a drag exhales than picks up his coke to drink it. "Whats the point in this?" He ignites a finger. "And this." He brings up the left causing essentially an icicle to form at his finger tip. "If I'm not supposed to use them how I want? I went four years hidin' them and when I was outed I was brutalized. So I'm supposed to go back in the closet now?:

Rogue has posed:
Rogue folds her arms over her stomach and just stares at him with an unimpressed look. She nods once to what he says. "I get it, you're pissed off. Trust me, I've dealt with a lotta mutants, and they're rarely happy about what's happened to them in their lives."

Again she glances toward the street, then back to Atrid. "But makin' yourself a villain isn't gonna lead ya down a happy road. You got some fancy tricks there, sure, but if you don't use them for the right things, at the right times, then you're gonna walk away more angry, and more sad, till you're a bitter husk of a person and ain't nobody will give a shit about bein' around ya."

Atrid has posed:
Atrid takes a final drag tossing it. "By giving this rich preppy stuck up kids what they deserve is being a villain. They picked on me long before I was a mutant I couldn't do anything than but I can now." He says simply. "Fa me and all those like me. Justice, tha's all it is." Atrid thinks for a moment. "Angry, at what being almost beaten to death by my parents? Or being abandoned and them not wanting to keep me after I healed, or winding up a street kid? Lots of stuff to be pissed off about pick one."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue looks away again for a second while she stands there with her arms folded over her stomach. She looks down the street, then back to Atrid as he finishes speaking. "You're being spiteful and vengeful. Neither of those things make you a guy out for justice, they make youa guy jaded by bad people, who've now turned you in to a bad person. You gotta rise up, and be the better person." She pauses then and moves to turn back toward the pizza place.

"Look, I'm not Yoda, you gotta figure this stuff out yourself. But if you're endangerin' people's lives out here, I'll have t'stop you myself. So knock it off..."

The Belle then turns and starts to walk back toward the store to go inside.

Atrid has posed:
Atrid looks after her. "Going after those who harmed me to teach them a lesson about picking on those weaker than themselves is endangering lives?" He asks with a raised eyebrow. "Than you tell me dahlin' how do I turn off the rage? How do I not see people as all being out ta hurt othas and only care foa themselves? To not feel like every one hates me because I was born this way?"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue reaches for the door handle again but hears his response and she pauses to look over at him again. "Not everyone in this world hates you for what you are. But they will if you start throwin' your powers around and putting them in danger. And yeah, flashin' powers around in public is like flashin' a gun around. It's bound to cause tension and escalation in response. Trust me, I've learned it the hard way."

She pulls the door open then and steps on isnide the pizza place...

Atrid has posed:
Atrid follows behind Rogue and thinks about it. "Maybe you're right. But I've yet to meet a Norm who didn't hate me even when my power bursts were accidental." He says honestly. "I used to be the kind of kid I just stuck to Baseball MMA and my studies neva worried about nobody. Now I'm angry all the time."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue steps in to the pizza place and looks over her shoulder since the kid is following after her. She hears what he says and exhales lightly. "I get it." She says. "I really do." Her hands go up to her forehead to take the sunglasses off of her brow and then folds the limbs together and slips them under the hem of her tanktop. "But you're like what? 16? You haven't met htat many people, in the grand scheme'a things. Trust me, there's way more good people out there than bad people. And you gotta do the good thing and make them not fear you as some angry unstable kid. Life ain't about our powers, ya know?" She adds as she walks to the counter to talk to one of the clerks.

She goes on to tell the employee that she's here to pick up six pizzas of varying different styles.

Atrid has posed:
Atrid looks at her and blinks a few times. "I see." He says softly. "I'm Seventeen actually." He says matter of factly. "And I've met a lot of people well kind of a lot, alright well maybe just people from school." Atrid says adjusting his jacket.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue waits for the employee to get her order in order while she waits beside the counter. She looks to Atrid and just smirks at his response to her, offering him a nod. "School can seem like the whole world sometimes. But yeah... there's a lot more to it than that." She offers a faint grin for a second.

"Look, ya don't have t'listen t'me, obviously." She states in her thick southern accent, very foreign to this region of the country. "I'm just offerin' some friendly advice. Take it or leave it, Mistah."

The 6 boxes are set down on the counter and Rogue moves to pay with a credit card before she picks them up to turn around again.

Atrid has posed:
Atrid looks at her. "I ain't saying I ain't gonna take yer advice. I'm just voicing my concerns based on what I've seen so fah ya know." He says softly. "Just had a rough go of it and ain't met othas like me really, well maybe one the otha, day trainin' ta be a cop or somethin'."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue grabs some of the napkins out of the holder on the counter along with some packets of cheee and the like. She puts them all in a bag and then holds the boxes in front of her as she looks back over to Atrid. "Well, you're in school... ya don't look like you're starvin'." She states, glancing him over. "Seems t'me that ya got some things to be thankful for in life." She offers him a little smirk then.

"That's always the right way t'go about stuff when you're sad or somethin'. Think about the good stuff in your life. People don't do that enough anymore... Maybe if they did we'd all be a little happier in this ridiculous life."

She starts toward the door then. "I gotta get these back to the house though, so yeah, try not t'get yourself thrown in jail, yeah?"

Atrid has posed:
Atrid looks at her and smirks. "I'm on the street using what money I'd saved up from allowances and odd jobs to pay for food. But yea I ain't starvin'." He says honestly. "You take care of yourself Miss. In sure I'll be seein' ya aroun' and I ain't gonna wind up in a jail cell."

Rogue has posed:
Back outside now, Rogue stands beside her truck as she looks at the kid who admits to being homeless. She used to be too, so she simpathizes The doors to her truck opens up and she puts the pizzas in the compact seats in the back behind hers. "Well, I hope things work out. This is a good town, you shoudl be able t'find some help here. I know there's a shelter around here somewhere..."

As she moves to get inside the truck though she pauses and looks over the door at him. "Get through school though, and you'll be set t'get some real workd and be flyin' from then on. College is overrated, it's all about your drive that decides if ya really get anywhere or not." She gives him a grin then and gets on inside her truck.
