Atrid has posed:
Atrid is standing on a street corner slightly hidden in the shadows. He peers around cautiously in an almost paranoid sort of way. He looks for the perfect marks, finding one he pauses for the briefest of moments. He remembers at this point that hes out of cash now, hungry, and needs a nice place to sleep for a few nights. Steeling his resolve finally again, he makes his move. Quickly and quietly he takes off catching up to his mark he deftly lifts this guys wallet, rapidly taking the cash from it and tossing it. Grinning at how easily he did this without getting caught. Emboldened he runs to a place where he could cut through an alley to a store. Atrid moves into the store and quickly and starts taking food, stuffing it into his backpack. He starts heading to get out of the store. Before he can get out of the store completely hes tackled. "Hey thief yer goin' ta Jail!!" The clerk yells at Atrid. "wait a minute man chill Im hungry, homeless, a kid and have no job. Im just trying to eat man Im all alone here have a heart." Atrid states. "Doesnt matter kid! Do the crime and do the time boy!!" The clerk growls all the while Atrid is trying to back peddle out of the store. As Atrid backs up his fear anxiety and panic starts flaring up and his emotions get out of his control. In this instant his right hand ignites in flames his left freezing over in a thick layer of ice. "MUTIE FREAK AND YER A THIEF!!! KILL THE MUTIE, REAL HUMANS DONT WANT YOUR KIND HERE!!" The clerk shouts as his buddies start crowding around poor Atrid it now appears to be seven on one. Atrid in his fear throws his hands out shaking his head. "Please guys Im not trying to hurt you or no one." Atrid shouts as the Trash cans catch fire and the clerks feet get frozen to the spot so he cant move. "Just leave me alone please Im just trying to survive please, Im leaving no need for this no ones been hurt at all here." Atrid pleads with the ant mutant folks, his fear and anxiety exponentially increasing causing his flames to burn hotter and brighter almost turning blue. His ice creeping further up his arm going almost sub zero in temperature. The flames in the trash cans getting higher and out of control starting to threaten to catch the building on fire.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis didn't have much reason to prance around the city anymore now that she had a place to stay and a higher purpose. That is, except for her desire to get in trouble and her secondary objective of finding more mutant folk who might be interested in the same little project she had been drafted to. She hung around the spots where most people living a hard life were, much like she had been until recently. She knew the type very well, and she knew the struggles, so she knew the troubles too.

Right now she had zeroed in right on the troubles, clearly, undeniably, there it was. Oppression, unfairness, homelessness, same thing that happened to her. She reaches into her pocket and pulls out her weapon of choice, had this been ancient japan it would be dubbed a Kusari. Since it's not ancient japan, it's dubbed 'two pieces of lifting weights connected by rope'. One of the lead disks are held in her hand for a moment, then a loud THUNK echoes out. It goes flying at roughly the speed of a baseball pitch at the head of one of the anti-mutant folks. Which is to say it was going to hurt immensely if it didn't knock them out.

"HEY FUCKERS!" She shouts from behind. "Guess who it is? Shannon, the cop-killer. How about you come pick on me instead?" She was trying to use the fact she had been wanted and on the news for a while to give Atrid an opening to escape. And to give herself a very well justified fight. Her blood was pumping already, her brain tingled with the anticipation of adrenaline to come.

Jason Wyngarde has posed:
Jason Wyngarde moves through the crowds on an invisible segway, and immediately has a criminal contact give him the feeds of nearby security cameras on his Ipad as he moves to the area and programs a very complex illusion, of mobs of these anti mutants causing havok and knocking things over, setting trash cans on fire etc, to pull law enforcement away from the area. He will also program them to attack any humans attacking mutants in vicious and shocking ways with torches. It's only an illusion but it wont feel that way to the bigots. Anyone tries to attack someone obviously different, they will get a hoard of anti mutant activists attacking them.

Atrid has posed:
Atrid stands back up angry as all get out he growls as one of the bigots hit him. Turning his hands on the guy who hit him and ices the person the flames miss and hit the building behind them the building itself catching fire. "Shit...I...Im so sorry...I didnt...I didnt mean to." Atrid says watching as those weights hit the other ass hat. He backs up further and further just trying to get back as more anti mutant morons surround him now theres around 10 as opposed to the seven there was.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis lets out a hissing sigh and pulls the weight back. She was going to have to get rough now. She enters the store and plants her hand on an entire shelf, shaking a bunch of things off it." She jumps into the air so Atrid can see her and does a motion, signalling for him to get down low, doing so by wagging her hands downwards. When she lands again she drags the shelf and points it towards the group of bigots. She grips it more towards the bottom, so that it'd fly a bit upwards and miss Atrid if he was crouching.

She breathes in and out, she had been preparing for this, it was time to get her powers in check. Use them properly. Pym equation. That was the key, this wasn't just about her anymore, she had to relax, relax, relax. And so the extra-dimensional energy pours out of her hands and sends the shelf flying in a horizontal position, at 100mph. There's a loud THUNK that echoes across the entire room. She was hoping it would catch a good number of the haters.

Jason Wyngarde has posed:
Jason Wyngarde is focusing on making the anti mutants look as bad as possible, while protecting any mutants (which is mainly Astrid and Shannon) but keeps them programmed that if a mutant or non human obvious is also attacked they are protected as well. He keeps the police distracted.

Atrid has posed:
Atrid ducks and that board does take out four of the haters after they get hit he freezes the ground under them so they slip and fall. Taking aim at another he torches the guy leaving five remaining. "Shit shit shit...I cant get this under control." He says irritated. "Why cant I control my powers." Atrid says standing back up now that the remaining five have split their attention between Shannon and Atrid.

Vance Astro has posed:
Everything in this city.. okay lets face it, in this century, is new to Vance. He's managed to cobble together something approximating the weapon he left behind... in the future. So weird to think of that being 'behind'. But without the weight of it on his arm, things just don't feel right.

Fortunately for him, he is perfectly capable of blending in fashion-wise with but a thought. So it is that he appears to be wearing a white teeshirt with Captain America's shield on the front. No words. That's it. What? Along with bluejeans and work boots. He does have what looks to be an oversized bracelet on his right wrist. Maybe it's one of those weird wristwatch thingees. Smartwatch? At least that was before he turned a corner and spotted trouble brewing.

He pauses for a moment and inclines his head. "HEY!" he calls out, "What the hell is going on here?!" I mean, he doesn't have that 'I AM A MUTANT' look to him. I mean sure, he is one, but he's not one of those who outwardly finds himself unable to blend into the mass of humanity.

Jason Wyngarde has posed:
Jason is tempted to embellish, but he keeps working as he is. He decides to be a LITTLE nice and has some phantom police show up and begin directing humans away from the situation, as long as mutants are given priority, and if any mutants are attacked in their vecinity, the police open fire on the anti mutant activists...elsewise helping people get clear and safe.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis hopes the absolute chaos going on is enough to dissuade Vance from going deeper into the place, or at least distract him a bit. She doesn't reply, just lifts a hand, giving him a 'pause' gesture. She walks over to where the group of mutant-haters are surrounding Atrid. She pulls on the rope of her weight, launched earlier, spinning it extremely fast over her own head, then letting it arc over to smash into the temple of one of the guys. She honestly didn't care if he died from it or not, this was terrorist Shannon, her vile persona that she had decided to adopt from the news and arrest warrants on her.

Then she approaches the bunch, she had been in a reasonable amount of fist fights, but now things were different. She smashes her hand into the side of one guy, relaxing a particular set of imaginary muscles inside her palm. The energy is released, the guy is then accelerated to a whole 100mph and shot into the others, assuming they were distracted enough by Atrid that she could sneak up behind him.

Vance Astro has posed:
Peering at the trouble, Vance sees that people seem to have it under control. Though a hundred mile an hour impact with another human would completely pulp anyone involved in that. So he cringes as he watches what can only be lethal impacts happen. He bites his lower lip and shakes his head, "Nope. This is not my scene." he mutters to himself before stepping back around the corner and out of sight.

Atrid has posed:
Atrid groans before leaping up and slugging another a few times Ice, Fire, Ice, Fire, Fire, Ice, Fire, Fire. "I told you to leave me alone. I told you I didnt want to hurt you, I didnt want to fight or hurt anyone." He shouts throwing punches and bunches. Watching as one of the guys hits the floor from that weight. "Holy Shit! The Hell was that!!" Atrid shouts. "I aint tryina kill no one here Im just tryina get them off my ass."

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis was, quite visibly, in an enraged frenzy. Her pupils were shivering from the amount of adrenaline and other such chemicals pouring through her brain. It was truly fantastic. "Oh don't worry, you're not, I am. Though he might have broken a lot of bones he's not necessarily dead." She tells him with a smile, staring down at the two guys she knocked down with the third one, whom she launched. She pulls her weight back, then grabs another one, points right at their face and fires them off. She wasn't trying to pull a Deathstroke, like he did to her, and send the weight flying through anyone's head. So she reels it back to just knock them out and possibly leave a dent in their face. "You alright? Should probably run. I'll take the blame for this one." She tells him firmly.

Jason Wyngarde has posed:
He is finally close enough to the situation that he adapts the phantom people to begin 'treating' the fallen anti mutants so that others will step around them and also to make sure the anti mutants don't cause problems for anyone else; clearing out the rest of civilians and clearing out a path for anyone that attempts to get in the way of Shannon or Atrid.

Atrid has posed:
Atrid flips over another and kicks one in the face. "I dont run from my fights dahlin." He shouts slamming a flaming fist into the gut of another one. "Please stop messing with us mutants we didnt ask to be born like this. This wasnt a choice we made anymore than the color of your eyes were a choice of yours." He snarls starting to freeze the arm of the guy hes currently beating on.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis cracks her neck, that was fairly quick, with that it didn't seem there was much fight left in the crowd that had initially ganged up on him. The ones she hit at least had several broken bones. "No, seriously. You don't need this to go on your record. I'm already a criminal so it's fine if I take the fall for this one. Not that I'm going to jail, mind you." She pokes around the store, finding where the maintenance room was so that she could trash the video file from the cameras. After that she'd return and take a snack off one of the shelves, starting to munch on it. "You actually probably want to go to a PD and make a report saying I started a riot in this store and you got caught in it. Unless you're wanted too, then, well, won't really matter."

Jason Wyngarde has posed:
At this point, the police show up and begin to mob the guys if Shannon and Atrid arent fighting them. There are like six illusionary cops for every illusionary guy. They wont 'notice' Shannon. Meanwhile, the real cops are kept nice and...away...for now, but will be allowed in once the 'police report' is taken.

Atrid has posed:
Atrid shrugs standing up finally and dusting himself off he shrugs. "I dont talk ta the cops, they aint never helped me so I aint got no use fer them." He arm now flaming blue and the up to his shoulders those flames, and the ice upon his other arm up to the shoulder. "And if they think theyre gonna be arrestin' me fer a crime I didnt commit they have a rude awakening comin' to them."

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis shrugs lightly. "Look I don't recommend fighting the cops. I have. Believe me. It's not nice." She says dismissively, finishing her snack. "My suggestion is get out of here. I sure am." She knew there was no way what was happening around her was entirely real, something was controlling people or this was an illusion, it just seemed a bit too...biased. But she couldn't be sure. So she pulls up her hoodie over her face and pretends to be a panicked teen. "I'm outta here, but I might come find you soon." She lets out a panicked shriek and starts running away and flailing, just like a typical teenager would. She runs through the crowd and as far away from there as possible.

Jason Wyngarde has posed:
Jason Wyngarde ensures that Atrid and Shannon get away. He smiles at Shannon and Atrid having a positive interaction. He also makes sure that all mutants get help first, then people, then and only then the anti mutants are able to get help from actual paramedics at the moment the real cops arrive. DOZENS of witnesses show up and swear that the whole thing was started by anti mutant activists and that they did nothing but beat on the mutants and then each other and that the mutants ran in terror.

Atrid has posed:
Atrid adjusts his duster and nods his head. "Yea I planned on gettin' out of here as fast as I can, come find me? Im down with that." He grins and he takes off a slow walk cutting through back alleys as he disappears into the night hearing the sounds of sirens on their way.
