Stephanie Brown has posed:
It had been a fairly regular day at the Third Gotham Bank and Trust. Monday was never quite fun, but coffee had gone a long way towards getting the tellers through the day. Now it's early afternoon and the rush of people stopping by at lunch has abated.

Margaret wiggles her feet in her shoes. "I shouldn't have worn these in yet," she says to her coworker. "Sure I'm getting a blister from them," she says with a sigh.

The other teller replies, "You know you should cut a fresh onion and rub it on it. I hear that's great for blisters."

"Really?" Margaret replies. "Are you serious?" She turns to the man who steps up to the counter, wearing jeans and a hoodie with the hood up. "Have you ever heard that before, onions for blisters?" she asks him.

The man, who had his head down, lifts it, allowing Margaret to see into the hood, where he's wearing a mask of a rabbit. "I haven't, but we have more pressing matters to discuss," he tells her, pulling out a handgun and resting it on the counter. He tosses a bag on the counter. "Start filling it up," he says.

Other men are loitering around the bank. The teller hits the silent alarm.

Dick Grayson has posed:
Nightwing is on the rooftops, as is usual for a patrol, making his way from building to building. Any gap he can't vault is swung across on a line so that he doesn't have to pause on his movement. When the silent alarm from the bank goes off, he's only a couple of blocks away. As the info comes up on his HUD, he veers in the direction of the bank and at the same time, gets on his comms.

<Any other bats out and about today? We've got something going on at the Third Gotham if you're nearby.>

He swings across another street, hurdles an alley and finds himself across the street from the bank, looking down at it. He zooms his vision in to see what he can spot from his current vantage point.

Stephanie Brown has posed:
<< GOOOOOOOOOD MOOOOORNING GOOOOOTHAM CIIIITY!!!! >>

Stephanie's imitation of Robin Williams rolls through the comms channel. Though it's nearer to evening than it is to morning.

u(comms,I'm 2 minutes out. On my way.)]

A few miles distant, a Batcycle comes zooming out of an alley where it was parked. Batgirl's cape waves behind her in the breeze as she opens the bike up, moving through traffic up the center line between lanes to avoid the slower moving cars.

Outside of the bank, a van is sitting at the curb in the no parking zone. It has darkened windows, including a sun roof in the middle on top. Inside the bank things look pretty chill through the windows. Until the one teller tries to slip away, the man with the rabbit mask pointing his gun towards her. There are a few gasps and then the other gunmen pull their weapons and slide their masks into place. The pig has a shotgun, the squirrel has a pair of handguns, and the rooster has a shotgun as well. There are at least four other customers, who all lie down on the ground as the gunmen wave their weapons at them.

Dick Grayson has posed:
Nightwing fires a line across the street to the front of the bank, attaching it to the roof beside him and uses it as a zipline to get down to the street, rolling up behind the suspicious van. He flips to thermal to see how many people, if any are in the van before being willing to leave it behind him. With his batons at the ready, he pops the driver's door, ready to tase him if he's part of the gang inside.

Once the driver is dealt with (or found to be an innocent bystander), he stays low and moves towards the bank, tossing a sticky camera onto the window to feed the scene inside the bank to a window on his HUD.

Stephanie Brown has posed:
The driver is the lone occupant of the van, and wearing a cat mask. He seems surprised at his door suddenly being yanked open from the slight gasp he makes before the taser hits him. After that he mostly jerks about and makes a kind of whimpering sound that would probably embarrass him greatly if the other bank robbers were there to hear it.

Inside the bank, the tellers are putting money into the bags supplied by the rabbit gunman at the counter. Pig, rooster and squirrel are spread out, keeping the other employees and customers under control. Everyone else besides the two tellers are down on the ground. Rooster and his shotgun are nearest to the door and keeping an eye outside via it, but he misses what happens at the van.

The Batcycle races up the ramps of a parking garage, driving up to the top where Batgirl accelerates as she drives it across the open parking spaces on the roof and towards the wall. At the last second the cycle brakes heard and the seat launches her into the air. Batgirl's cape has ridges that harden, allowing the rest to serve like a large wing as she glides towards the bank just another block away.

<< Almost there. What's the plan? >>

Dick Grayson has posed:
Nightwing observes for a moment, uploading the video to Batgirl's HUD as well so she has a view of the situation as well. Since things seem to be going fairly smoothly inside at the moment, he's not moving yet.

<<I took out their getaway driver, but once the GCPD shows up in>> he brings up a map in another window, showing him responding units <<about a minute and a half, they're going to grab hostages. We need to get in there before they do and take them out. Unfortunately, we have one watching the door, so this is likely to get messy fast. We need to take out the shotguns forst, they're the most likely to hurt innocents.>>

Stephanie Brown has posed:
<< Alright. I'll make my way in from the roof and get into position. >>

The caped crusaderette glides down towards the bank, landing on the roof. No doors, but there's a ventilation shaft. Of course it is covered with a metal grate. Batgirl pulls out a small torch from her utility garter belt, igniting it and melting through the metal. It takes her about thirty seconds before she stows the equipment and pulls the grating off, then slides in head first down into the air ducts.

Fifteen seconds after that, she's dropped down into a back room of the bank. << Alright I'm inside and ready to go. >>

Dick Grayson has posed:
Nightwing gives Bargirl a moment, and then she appears on his map of the bank, nods and starts to move to the door. <<Going in now>> he reports as he yanks the door open and dives in, raising his arm to fire a tranq dart into the rooster covering the door. The shotgun roars, sending a cloud of buckshot to smash through the glass, but Nightwing is already in a roll as the dart take effect and rooster drops to the ground. Pig and squirrel both turn towards the door as the shotgun fires, raising their weapons, and squirrel yells, "Dammit, I told you! It's one of those bats! We should hit a different city!"

Stephanie Brown has posed:
As soon as Nightwing is coming in through the door, Batgirl slips into the room, whirling a batarang that trails a line behind it. It curves in flight, wrapping itself around Pig, pinning his arms to his side as Batgirl tugs on her end of the line, tightening it. The shotgun is pinned against his body, the barrel pointing upwards, until Batgirl tugs hard on the line, toppling the bound criminal to the floor.

She leaves Squirrel for Nightwing as she rushes towards Rabbit. He whirls about, bringing his gun up to fire towards her.

Dick Grayson has posed:
Nightwing comes to his feet at the end of his roll and is on the move towards squirrel, firing a line around the criminal's gun and yanking it out of his hand. Then he's on the unfortunate robber, and the batons thud home several times, releasing arcs of electricity, dropping the man to flop around on the floor. He looks around, trusting Batgirl to deal with rabbit and asks, "Was anybody hurt? The police should be here within a minute if you're all ok."

True to his word, maybe 30 seconds later cars start to pull up in front of the bank, no sirens so the robbers aren't warned the police are here. Once Batgirl deals with the last robber, he looks to the door he came in and comments, "Perhaps we should go out the way you came in, I hate dealing with the police in these situations."

Stephanie Brown has posed:
As Rabbit's gun swings round towards her, Batgirl throws a handful of pellets his way. They burst into flashes of blinding light, throwing off his aim. His gun discharges into the wall up near the ceiling, harming nothing but the drywall.

Before his eyes have cleared, Batgirl's uppercut lands on his chin, knocking him completely off of his feet. He lands on the ground and she rolls him over, cuffing his hands behind his back and picking up his gun to set it on the counter.

She looks over towards Nightwing. "Oh look! They are giving toasters out if you open a new checking account!" she tells him, motioning towards the little sign on the counter. Margaret stands back up, a stunned look on her face. "Uh... uh... yes. With a $300 initial balance required," she says, eyes darting between the two costumed heroes.

Batgirl is already moving towards the back room with Nightwing though, heading for the air ducts that she came in by. "This is such a nice bank," she can be heard telling him as they disappear from sight.

"I can see why people would pick this one to rob. Tellers are so friendly."

Dick Grayson has posed:
Dick Grayson chuckles as they vanish into the back room, "I'll have to remember to tell my friends about it." He gives Margaret a little wave and closes the door, following Steph up the duct and out onto the roof. "Nice work, looks like we haven't lost our touch. You'd think people would know better than to try this sort of thing by now though. Not that it's any better for them in the other major cities, I suppose."
