Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson is trying to keep low since conspiracy theory nuts who think he inherited a billion dollars from Archibald Lott are right, he did win a treasure hunt and inherit a billion dollars, so he's trying to stay low. Worse, he's having blackouts if he uses his powers too much so he has asked Tandy Bowen, who took care of his dopple the last time, to see if she can examine him to see what she sees or if she senses the presence of his dopple around him. He has picked the Circle K at a small town in New Jersey. He waits outside in the parking lot.

Tandy Bowen has posed:
Tandy Bowen Walks up to the parking lot of the circle K and sees Jovian sitting there. Her mind flashes back to when she helped him with his double within Cloak's space. "Wonder if it will be different in the real world," she mumbles to herself softly. "So," she plops down next to him, crossing her legs clad in ripped jeans. "You've got a problem in your brain and you want me to go poking around in it, huh?" She smiles with a glint in her eyes. "Sounds like fun."

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson says, "I am not sure its my brain, to be honest," he shrugs and leans back on a bench in front of the mart and watches, well, interesting people, to say the least wander in and out in search of cigarettes, twinkies and sugary breakfast cereals to be filled with milk or beer depending on ...things. "I mean, I can't explain why but I dont think its as simple as a telepath just rooting around my head and plucking away a bad memory, nes pa? But at the same time, I really really dont think that I can safely use my powers."

Tandy Bowen has posed:
Tandy Bowen tilts her head to the left and bites her bottom lip contemplatively. "I telepath? I'm not usually referred to as such." She eyes him closer, wondering if maybe she's not who he thinks she is. "I cure addiction Jove. Sometimes minor mental healings. I can know your hopes and dreams, but I can't read your mind per se."

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson chuckles, "I wasnt calling you a telepath. That's why I thought you would be the right fit. I dont know any telepaths personally but friends of friends might work. However, if I'm right about this having something to do with my dopple, your power suite seems more...apropo." He shrugs and watches two children walk about with half of their body weight in candy, waddling behind their mother who has half again her body weight in beer.

Tandy Bowen has posed:
Tandy Bowen watches the poor children waddle after their mother. Another time slams into her, one where her mother paid attention to her. Gave a damn about her. It was a long time ago.

Tandy shakes her head. Enough with the past. "So you want me to just, what? Try to heal you right here outside the local circle K?" Not exactly a private spot. Then again, I suppose it would just look like her touching his hand from the outside.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson considers, "I dont have any set plan. Here, that park over there," he points to a park across the way, "I'm fine either way, but I just know that these blackouts are disturbing me. If I start texting weird things I dont remember when I use my power, its....too risky to use my powers.

Tandy Bowen has posed:
Tandy Bowen eyes the park. "Alright that works." She stands and stretches, letting her ratty tee shirt rise just a bit, revealing her belly button momentarily, before being covered back up. "Race ya!" She declares, wondering if Jov is all doom and gloom, or has a bit of fun in him, before racing off to the spot he'd indicated.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson is, sadly, mostly doom and gloom, but not quite as good at it as Cloak is. He moves to the park, gliding with a bit of gravitas that doesnt seem natural to him and yet is. A clash of light and dark, hope and glory, shadow in person form, but it is more than that. There in the park beneath the stars, he doesnt even need to call the shadows around him, he just blends in. Its more than that, though there is his own light that she can see in that moment. Its a curious mix indeed.

Tandy Bowen has posed:
Tandy Bowen catches her breath, but not from the short run. He's like Cloak... but not. Tandy rings right her hand around her left wrist. She can feel it building in her, the light sickness. She needs to discharge some of her light. She tilts her head looking at Jov in a new light. Maybe he could help... "Hey," she starts, walking backwards a bit further into the shadows of the little nook, "You mind if I try something, when I attempt to heal you of your double?"

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson says, "I dont think its that easy. I ..." he shrugs,"something happened when my dopple died. But if you want to try something out that might work or fix it, I'm game. It can't be any worse than trying a jet pack that has its own crazy AI in it."

Tandy Bowen has posed:
Tandy Bowen says, "A jet pack with an AI?" her voice holding severe intrest. Sounds cool... and dangerous. Exactly her type of thing. "Well, I may not be as stream lined as cool as an AI Jet pack, but I can do this."

She takes his head with no more warning, and closes her eyes. Her light, that is filling her to the brim, desperate for being syphoned off into Cloak funnels from her heart and chest where it's been building and flows down her arm. She feels Jov's shadows, so like Cloaks, but again not. Maybe it will do. Maybe him asking for help could be the best thing that's happened to her for a long time. Her Light funnels from her hand into his body, and she directs it to 'heal.'

Jovian Anderson has posed:
At the end of the day, both have powers that tap the same fundamental Dark Force, but thats where the similarity ends. Cloak is a doorway....Jovian is a wound. Its more than that, Cloak, despite his addiction to the darkness, is a light in his soul. It isnt that Jovian is evil, far from it, and she can feel that, but there is...wrongness. Something at a fundamental DNA level is ...wrong and it feels that way. It is indeed stemmed temporarily by what she is doing and it does sate her addiction. But after a certain point, its like trying to push the sea back with a pushbroom. The shadow on the other side of Jovian seems...like madness....insanity....

Tandy Bowen has posed:
Tandy Bowen breaks the connection when she touches something inside Jov that feels... insanity. She takes a step back, her awe and wide eyed view of him shifting. "Your different." She states plainly, cowed but what she felt in him. It wasn't like Cloak. But she had to admit, it did the trick, for her at least. Her light levels are down to a reasonable amount, and she no longer feels it pushing against her chest. "Did it work for you?" She asks, her enthusiasm dampened, her caution much more present, made so by the... not evil, but wrongness within him. She wants Cloak, when is he coming back?

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson stretches his arm a moment and nods, "I...I think so?" He shrugs, "I mean I dont plan on turning into a shadow to find out but it gives me some peace of mind..." as he talks there is a small white door, like something out of the twilight zone that slowly fades into the shadows along the wall of the Circle K. "Huh." He blinks and looks at Tandy, "I think that might be for me."

Tandy Bowen has posed:
Tandy Bowen looks behind her to where Jov is staring, and then scrambles backward, to place Jov between her and the door. "Where the hell did that come from?" She asks, trying to keep the tremor of fear from her voice, and only slightly succeeding. She raises her hands in front of her, calling a small amount of light to shine on the tiny white door that wasn't there a second ago.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson says, "These guys I got involved with called the Nazca Brotherhood; they're shadowy, mysterious and likely wizards or something. I'm pretty sure its them and I'm pretty sure that door is for me, though I find the timing interesting. Apparently they never heard of using a cellphone." He shrugs.

Tandy Bowen has posed:
Tandy Bowen says, "You should send them some then." When Jov looks at her questioningly, she clarifies, "cellphones." She looks back at the door. Her heart is still beating from the insane darkness she felt in Jov, but at the end of the day... well she's used to darkness, to shadows, to night. And she wants to help keep her city safe, and despite the fact she knows little of Jovian Anderson, she knows he wants to keep the city safe too. "You need help?" She offers, her voice firm, yet unsure. If he says yes, she'll march through the door with him. And still... there is a small voice in her head that hopes he'll say no. She ignores it, that's only the voice of fear.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson considers this offer for a few moments. What does he really know of the Nazca Brotherhood? And he's supposed ot be in charge of the operation now...but they were secretive, and this was a summons of some kind. It might be odd if they sent Tandy away and that would be rude. He says, "I appreciate the offer, but not this time. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt at least once. Thanks for the help though."

Tandy Bowen has posed:
Tandy Bowen exhales, doing her best to hide the relief. "Well, ok. If you're sure." She swallows, and lowers her glowing hands. "Good luck." She turns to face Jov. She takes him in, everything she can see, everything she can sense. "Can I...?" She trails off. "Can I try one more thing, before you go?" She asks hesitantly.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson is curious, hand on the doorknob. "Well, I mean in Futurama they parody the twilight zone calling it the 'scary door' for a reason, but he smiles, "Sure, go for it." He is curious if she is going to dagger the door or something.

Tandy Bowen has posed:
Tandy Bowen steps closer to him. She places a hand on his wrist, the one not beginning to open the door. This time her touch is much more gentle than when she funneled her light into him. She focuses on his essence, and calls to her power to know his hope. In a second she knows what he wants more than anything in this moment. And the answer is not tied to insanity, in fact it's anything but. She steps back, having confirmed that no matter how dark his shadows may grow, she can trust Jov. "If you need my help again, just call." She tells him, with a quick nod, she turns and begins to walk away.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson smiles, curious as to what just happened but nods and salutes, "Thanks. If that makes me able to use my power for short bursts without captain dorkus borrowing my corpus for a while I'll definitnely ringaling." He waves, opens the door, steps in and the door fades behind as the brick wall of the convenience store replaces it as if the door had never been there.
