Synopsis: Nadia brings Hank cookies and tells him about the latest attempt by yet another secret organization to kidnap her. He invites her on a trip to Malta and improvements to suits are discussed.
Cast of Characters: Hank Pym, Nadia Pym-van Dyne

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym is working like the dickens. He has a some free time these days, not having SHIELD to worry and amaze and some tech needed upgrading. In particular -the big helmet. the ants salvaged enough of the device from the wrecked basement of his home to convince Hank it was time to update it. This morning finds him at the control console wearing his Fire Ant armor. The shell of the helmet has been removed and goodness it holds a lot of equipment, some of which might surprise his colleagues. Metal contracts cover his cranium and temples. The holo screens above his head show satellite views of a small island in a blue sea. Some have EEG readouts and other occult displays. Beside his is an ash tray and his pipe, unlit. There is several days growth of beard on his chin.

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
It is on just such a morning that the doorbell rings. Identity verification performed by the virtual intelligence tasked with handling unexpected arrivals identifies the visitor not as a sales person but Nadia. When the door opens she is standing there in her regular clothes, a black T-shirt that reads 'Just A Girl Who Loves Hornets' under a bright pink bomber jacket with the GIRL logo on the back and a red pleated skirt.

"Dad? Daaad? Are you in here? I brought cookies!" She peers through the doorway before stepping inside, "Caitlin helped me bake them! Have you eaten anything lately?" She finally spies him and his armor with the half disassembled helmet. "...or lost in your work again again?" She is really not one to talk when it comes to getting lost in lab work, pot and kettle, they're related, but perhaps that's why she understands how easy it is and brought something guaranteed to raise blood sugar and increase energy.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym turns to a VI peripheral. "When did I last eat?"

"Last night, Dr. Pym on schedule. You skipped breakfast."

"Narc."

"You skipped your morning shower as well."

"I ask you does Reed Richards or Victor von Doom pause at crucial moments for a bath?"

"Email inquiries sent, Dr. Pym."

Hank swallows his next reply and gets up to meet his daughter. He's careful hugging her. The Fire Ant suit is not cuddly. "Hello stranger... what brings you here? Come to swipe another plasma accelerator?"

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
"Neat suit!" Nadia's eyes go to the tech Hank is wearing, even as she returns the hug. "Cookie?" She offers again holding up the basket once the hug has ended, seemingly intent on her father eating something, especially after the VI narced him out. They do smell good though and probably baked quite recently.

"No plasma accelerators today..." She finds a place to set down the basket of cookies as she looks around. "I just thought I should drop by and see you.." She's dancing around something. "OhandmyofficeatGIRLgotattackedbysomethingcalledNOWHERE." She says the last part quite quickly while dropping her volume a bit as if that way Hank might not notice, at least that seems to be her line of thinking.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym frowns. He takes the gauntlets off the armor and drops them on the counter before standing by Nadia and touching her cheek and shoulders, as if to ascertain she's all right.

The suit around him opens, expanding before shrinking and vanishing and leaving him in sweats and an equipment belt.

"Yes. We should see each other and not just when things are exploding or one of us is dying. ... you're all right? That comes first. Damage Control can fix a bloody office in a couple hours." Then he hugs her again tightly.

"Korr, search the Avengers database and all the SHIELD files I downloaded for an... organization called Nowhere. It may be an acronym as well. Your dad is here now. I'm not distracted or sick now. I'm thinking clearly and not useless and these idiots who keep kidnapping you are going to learn a lesson and let you alone or I will feed them to a micro singularity, or something equally inventive."

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
Nadia returns the hug, leaning into it. "I'm fine, Viv was there and together we're really hard to capture. There was a man named Dr. Templar and he had two subordinates named Bright Eyes and Fuji, though I don't know why Fuji was working for Dr. Templar, he actually seemed nice. Though I'm also pretty sure he was some sort of energy being in a containment suit." Tangents and topic shifts, she's probably okay. "Dr. Templar tried to make me an offer I couldn't refuse, his words, and then attacked when I refused anyway he had these weird metal snake tentacles coming out of his chest. Though they retreated when I got my T-Comm active and Viv began broadcasting a signal to Avengers Comms. He said he wanted to help me realize my potential as a scientist and a metahuman and that they had tech several hundred years in advance of Earth mainstream, which I don't know how true it was but they were able to easily override all of the building security protocals and reach my office without tripping any alarms so there might be something to it. I'm tired of people trying to kidnap me to do evil SCIENCE! for them. Though the way he was talking they're probably after young people with abilities in general. I already warned the Titans and other members of GIRL though."

And she finally takes a breath. "I haven't been able to dig up anything on NOWHERE and Dr. Templar doesn't seem to have done anything particularly noteworthy that I was able to find. Hopefully you'll have better luck." She finds something to lean on, not far from the basket of cookies. "Cookie?" She holds one up, grabbing one for herself as well. She is nothing if not persistent.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym takes a cookie finally chewing it very thoughtfully and noting the database result or rather the lack of them. "Meh they have tech several centuries in advance of current tech? How thoughtful of them to recruit you. Busting into your office... Natasha could accomplish that, or Vivian easily enough. Hmm... nothing about Nowhere or Dr. Templar. Ok. I need to confer with Reed and Tony. I'm sure I can run down some leads for this technology they use. Metal tentacles remind me of Doc Ock. The energy containment suit... these things don't grow on trees. S.T.A.R. Labs may know more. Kidnapping kids... why do they always go after you kids. Do you... would you mind if I came to GIRL and ran some scans of your office, saw what the security footage got? Interrogate some ants?"

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
"You're more than welcome to come visit GIRL whenever you want! We're working on some pretty neat projects right now too, and planning to hold an Expo soon." Nadia beams when her father finally accepts one of the cookies, not that she doesn't intend to leave the basket of them behind either way. "It probably didn't help that Natasha was still recovering from the events in Greenland at the time so our security wasn't up to its usual level. Anything you can find out though would be super helpful, I seem to be hitting nothing but dead ends on this so far."

Suddenly she pauses, "I almost forgot to mention the most startling part of their tech, they have some means to neutralize Pym Particles. I fired my suit's size alteration beams at them but they just shrugged them off with no effect. I've never seen that happen before, somehow the usual interactions were simply negated. Vivian recorded the whole thing with her sensors though, but I'm still analyzing the data trying to figure out what happened."

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym rubs his chin. "That's surprising but not unheard of. We contain Pym particles all the time using various energy fields. If they found counter particles... that is surprising. I have not yet. Their major advantage is that they know about us... we don't know about them. Yet. Uhm... listen, you look a little rundown by all this. I'm planning a trip, though I will work on our elusive recruiters, would you like to go with me to Malta and help out my friend, Dr. MacIntyre? We have to shut down a deranged religious order that is also kidnapping kids. It'd be a sort of working vacation/take my daughter to work."

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
Nadia both brightens at the prospect of a trip and grimaces at the mention of children being kidnapped, it really is a sore spot with her after her own childhood, "The other members at GIRL can handle things on their own for a bit. I'll go, I don't like the idea of leaving anyone in the hands of an organization like that."

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym hits a hot key for coffee. A set of lab glassware begins processing the liquid. "Yes. Me too. How's your BPD coming along. As I said I developed severe problems with aripiprazol and some other meds. They affected my size changing. I developed my own serum to... I don't want you to go through what I am now. Pym particles strain the body. So far no two users are exactly the same. Scott s using third generation technology. I wish I had that but... I was thinking about how Pym particles affect people. I'd like to give you a check up... see what the Red Room did to you."

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
Nadia nods slowly from where she leans against a random large piece of equipment near the basket of cookies. "I'm not sure what generation my technology would be, I had access to some early research papers in the Red Room but I largely built my tech from the ground up, though I hid how far along I was so I could use it to escape. As far as they knew the only things Ying and I developed were these rings that made animals grow really large and aggressive and a device that would paralyze particles. My escape was the first they learned of successful human trials. So really, I guess there's no telling what effects it might have, but I've been pretty fine so far."

She pushes herself off the spot where she was leaning when Hank asks to give her a checkup, "Okay. SHIELD said from their tests its a variant of Super Soldier Serum, like Captain America. Stronger, faster, more endurance, and I heal much quicker than normal."

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym nods. "Yeaaaah. Janet got similar boosts when I developed her powers. She never seemed to have a problem with... medical issues. You'd probably be fine. But I will check. It took a few years for my meds to go bad. You know... I wasn't being n idiot not telling you about my illness. I just didn't want to drop dead in front of you. You had enough bad things happen in your young life. I know I'm new to this fatherhood thing but I want to protect you anyway I can. This is pretty ridiculous considering what we both do but I'll do what I can. As smart as you are, there is something to be said for experience."

Hank gives his wrists a little twist and the Fire Ant armor expands and surrounds him again for a moment. Then he shrinks out of it and leaps onto the floor to regrow, showing speed close to the old Ant-Man videos of him. "Okay first things first. Get your armor out and let's see what we have. I'm sure we'll get ideas for improvements from both our tech. I'll consider some biochem tests while we work. Let me get into some short and ditch these sweatpants. I think better in shorts. This will be a father daughter thing we can do. I'm excited."

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
"Sure!" Nadia flicks the back of one of the necklaces she wears and disappears in the blink of an eye, shrinking in only a microsecond at a speed that sometimes gets mistaken for teleportation by those who don't know better. Of course she isn't gone though, just very small. In a feat of mid-air acrobatics she quickly dons the suit before returning to full size in the new outfit just as quickly as she had vanished.

"Janet and Pym Tech provided the base, which is unstable molecules and kinetic dampening reactive armor plates when she surprised me while I was depressed after the Genosha incident." She says looking over her 'Waspette' suit with a critical eye for the first time in awhile. "Though most of the tech is my designs, except for the helmet which still uses a lot of your old sensor tech and more recently I incorporated components I based on that insect telepathy headband you gave me into it. Foss was super helpful testing that part. The gauntlets are my own design combining plasma projectors and the size altering beam tech I developed by combining a few of Dr. Von Doom's theories with some of yours."

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym walks around with a critical eye. "I like the wings the best. Those are entirely yours. Reactive armor is good. I went with my stand by unstable molecule infused micro mesh layered with smart gel. I'm glad you liked my tech. Yeah, I found rigid armor too restrictive but I don't move as fast as you. I have the gauntlet blasters... wrist mounted but I added a sidearm wen I was Yellowjacket. It's easier to aim a pistol. It's still powered via my aura. The Protector managed to get it away from me and put it to my head. He was very surprised when it didn't work. here, try it. No targets. Sorry." He hands the pistol to Nadia, safety on of course. then he starts opening compartments on the belt and rattling off inventions as he lays them out on the counter.

"Unstable molecule gas mask. The suit has one too. Unstable molecule line and lasso, very strong, quarter ton limit. Pressurized oil in capsules for wise guys who used glue on me. Here take one. Oh. I never use this but I'm proud of it -gas capsules containing anti-radiation drugs. Uh... my meds and heh gummi bears. Those you can't have. For grown ups."

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
"Oh right, my wings. I don't usually think of them as part of my suit anymore, though I guess it does use them. They fold into the magnetized decals so I can use them with regular clothes too. The metallic GIRL logo on the back of my jacket is actually another set of wings." Nadia accepts the gun looking it over, far more comfortable handling a sidearm that a girl her age really should be. "Huh, I hadn't considered adapting firearms, that's a neat idea, I mean it's not like I wasn't forced to learn how to use them anyway."

She looks over the rest of the tools, "Oooh a lasso, just like Donna uses! It seems to be a popular weapon on Themyscira. Oh anti-radiation drugs like a useful measure for teammates without environmental suits. Great idea!" Nadia's expression becomes puzzled when Hank declares the gummi bears for grown ups, but lets it go with a shrug. It's probably for the best he not find out some of the things she's already been given to try...

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym shrugs seeing the ease with which she handles the weapon. Yeah they'd teach her that. He does smile at the compliment. "We can look over your cyber helmet too... did I ever show you how to grow or shrink Foss with it? We can synch cyber helmets and manipulate each other's sizes if you want that modification. It can be a life saver if you get knocked out while small. We can probably extend the range for our insect comms too."

"It feels good to have a partner for a mission... not to mention my daughter! I bet I can still teach you a few things!"
