Beware of Coffee Zombies

Synopsis:	Kaida meets a coffee zombie.

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
It is early afternoon. The weather in Metropolis is rather nice as Spring begins to transition towards Summer. Tourists crowd the boardwalks of St. Martin's Island in the shadow of the grand T-shaped structure where the Titans make their home.

Within that tour in the common area, a groan one might expect from some sort of zombie creature can be heard as the elevator doors open. Emerging from it however is not some brain eating horror but the Waspette, using her wings to levitate slightly above the ground rather than walking, as she makes her way towards the kitchen not looking much better than a proverbial zombie. Someone pulled an all nighter in the lab ...again.

"Coooofffffeeeeee... Need trimethylxanthine..."

There is another! Although, she's unknown to most, Kaida had come by again to see Kian and maybe even the others she had met. However, she was now busy putting together a wonderful little snack of peanut butter and crackers. Not as easy to do at her size but she manages. To some, it might look like a jar of peanut butter is walking itself over to a plate of crackers but that would not be the case. She sets it down with a thud and then peers around it at Nadia.

"Caffeine?" She blinks, "Why not just say caffeine? Do you speak in scientific names when you're tired?" The tiny mouse girl asks even as she jumps up a little, grips the jar with feet and hands, twisting her body to release the top.

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
Nadia's head turns at the sound of the thud even as her buzzing bio-synthetic wasp wings continue to carry her towards the coffee machine where salvation awaits. "Wait the peanut butter is talking?" She says to herself out loud in a voice that suggests this is far from the weirdest thing she has experienced.

"I suppose visual and auditory hallucinations are one of the many side effects of sleep deprivation. Hello friend peanut butter!" She greets the jar perhaps not having yet perceieved Kaida behind it. Caffeine is another name for trimethylxanthine, that's true." There is a dreamy quality to her speech, like consciousness may be fleeting and she came seeking coffee just short of passing out.

Nadia does manage to reach the coffee machine however and produces an extra large novelty mug from ...somewhere before filling it with coffee from the pot.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A tilt of her head as she reaches over and picks up the knife she got out, Kaida shakes her head, "Not the peanut butter talking, sleepy wing person." She leaps up and swipes out a bit of peanut butter for herself and then puts it on the plate and then waves at Nadia from beside the peanut butter, "Hi, I'm Kaida!"

She then plops down beside her plate and grabs a cracker and presses it through the peanutbutter before biting off a piece of it.

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
"Oh, not the peanut just a mouse girl, that makes more sense." Nadia agrees absently. When the mug is brought to her lips though and the coffee begins entering her system, however, the change is quite rapid.

"Mmmm coffee is life." The words are uttered with an expression of abject pleasure, before the information about a mouse girl finally reaches her brain now that it is in a more functional state and she looks down, "Wait uh Hi! Are you a new Prospect or someone's guest? I'm Nadia."

No sooner has she said those words than Nadia seems to disappear, except she doesn't, she's still there just now the same size as Kaida floating in the air with those wings and drinking from her large mug of coffee which has changed sizes with her.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
After downing yet another cracker with rather incredible speed, Kaida blinks as she notes the girl shrinking to a similar size to her own, "Oh!" She blinks, "That's neat." She dips a cracker into peanut butter again, "And I'm sorta both, maybe? I don't know. I met Kian and came here cause of him. THen I met a fast person and Beast Boy." She nods again before looking down at her cracker and then up at Nadia, "Are you using Pym Particles to do that? I don't know of a great many other ways to shrink like that and if you aren't, that's fairly impressive." She nods again.

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
Nadia studies Kaida curiously for a moment as she floats there in the air, with her wings buzzing behind her, drinking her coffee.

"There are several ways, though Pym Particles are the best known. Most of the others are ray or beam based. But yes, my body produces Pym Particles in my blood." She replies to Kaida's question. She might have tried to fill in the name of the Speedster, but around the tower these days that could be any of a numberof people.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A look at the girl and Kaida blinks, "What?! You produce it?!" She seems to forget her food and move to the edge of the counter she's on, "That's amazing. Does it happen in the bone marrow and get produced alongside your blood cells or is it some other method?" She then shakes her head and sighs as she spots the time, "Oh crap! Crap crap crap!" She points at Nadia, "hold that thought, I'll be back by later! I have to run like...now!" She then suddenly blurs and is at the elevator shaft before looking back.

"Nice to meet you, Nadia! I'll be back, as I said and would love to talk more about your unique physiology! I'm gonna be late!" And then she leaps down the shaft and is away.
