Kaida Connolly has posed:
Sometimes, in places like Mutant Town, the problem isn't even the people who might showe up and try to hurt mutants. Sometimes the problem is the mutants themselves. Power corrupts unfortunately and every walk of life has those who are strong and those who are weak. Today, a mutant who has gained himself the power to try to make his own little empire looked to start it here. He was 19 years old, he was tough as stone and had gained a couple of thugs to back him up. He thought he was bad stuff.

Hard Rock (he wasn't very creative), as he liked to call himself, was grinning as he pushed down enough on the counter in the small shop to make it creak. One of his buddies, a guy simply calling himself Heat and a girl who liked to call herself Spike, were behind him.

"Listen. It's simple. I help you, you help me. We're all happy. You pay me to keep your place safe and it stays safe." He chuckles and nods, "It's like inusrance." And then he looks over and Heat reaches out and creates a ball of fire in his hand, grinning as he tosses it into a nearby metal trash bin which lights up.

"See, things like that could happen if I weren't around to..." He walks over and slams his foot down, stomping the trash bin and fire out before stomping a few more times to make sure, "...stomp out the problem."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie is out walking the neighborhood. He is still going to the academy but is trying to get to know the neighborhood, and make connections and friends around the area. So he is wearing dress pants, and a polo with the academy's logo on it. He has stopped here and there, helping an old lady with her trash, helping a grocery clean up a display, and is now coming to this little shop, to see what they sell and get to know the people.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
The poor shopkeeper isn't sure what to do. He shakes a little and finally raises his hands, "Ok, ok! You win! I'll pay. Just, ya know, stop with the theatrics. Alright? I get it!" He then moves to the register and Hard Rock grins.

"Smart." He states and then there's an odd sound that escapes out of Spike's mouth. Hard Rock blinks and looks over at Spike only to see her staring in confusion at a shelf and then Hard Rock calls out, "What is it, Spike?"

"There's, uh, a Mou-" Whatever Spike might have been about to say or whatever her powers are, we're not gonna find out right now. Why? Well, a moment after she starts to point out that there's a strange looking mouse girl with a sword and clothes standing before her, that same mouse suddenly is a tiny bullet of speed and slams headfirst into her nose causing it to break and sending her to the ground. A moment later that same mouse is clinging to the wall and staring at Hard Rock.

"Hey! I'm not here for you but I'll gladly introduce you to unconcsiousness." She then leaps away as a blast of fire hits the spot where she was as Heat attacks.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie comes in just in time to hear the commotion. The young man will step up to get a look at what's going on. His brow raises a bit at the bullet mouse, but he has been doing this long enough to recognize the behavior of a hero and a villain. He will stand near the door to keep people from running and watch for another moment to make sure it is what it appears.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
There's another blast of fire and Kaida dodges with a blink, "Hey! That's hot, ya jerk!" And then she blinks and lets out a surprised sound as she zips out of the way of a huge foot that slams into the floor where she was. SHe then points up at Hard ROck, "Wait your turn!" And then she's gone.

"Quit runnin' around ya little thing and let me squash ya!" The huge stone man calls out even as Heat tries to aim again at the mouse only to realize he lost sight of her. Heat turns left and right, keeping a fireball in his hand.

"Where'd it go?!" He calls out only to cry out in pain and go down hard as he grabs at his ankles, "My legs!" He screeches out.

"I'm a she, not an it, thank you very much." Kaida states, flicking her blade out to get rid of the bit of blood on it from cutting the back of Heat's ankles. She then slides her sword away and faces Hard Rock who stares angrily at the mouse.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie will step up a bit as well. He looks over toward the man and says "Seems she has done taken out two of your friends. You might want to consider giving up, and getting you and your friends out of here. He looks over to the shop keeper, and says "They take anything or damage anything?" While Sam keeps an eye on the one with the sore leg as well as the one standing, he seems confident in himself, and not worried about the thugs.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
"Shut the hell up!" Hard Rock points at Sam and doesn't seem to care if he has an academy shirt on. May not even realize what it means. It's not a cop uniform so he doesn't care. He then turns back to the mouse girl, "And as for you, I'm gonna put you in the ground." He starts to move toward her and she simply races away, turning him away from the shop keeper. He gives chase, stomping sounds following her as he does.

"Come on then!" She laughs as she taunts and races up a wall and right as he gets within five feet, she suddenly squats against the walla moment, extends a tiny fist and the wall actually gains a slight divot. The sound is massive as her fist connects with him right between the eyes. Hard Rock staggers back and goes to a knee. He isn't out but he is holding his face.

"Ow! My nose! You broke my nose!" He calls out and as it turns out, when he looks up, she did. Nearly broke it off his stoney face. He is holding it in place and stares at the tiny mouse who now stands on the counter, fists on hips. Hard Rock stares at her, looks in a nearby mirrored surface and then staggers up, "This ain't over, bitch!" He calls out and moves to grab up Heat while Spike seems to be stirring.

The shopkeeper looks over at Sam and then at the three and then at the mouse. He seems both confused, relieved and still a bit scared. He shifts slightly and states, "Just a little damage. Just want them gone. I can file a claim." He nods to Sam.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods, and will step to the side, and will reach over to grab Heat and Hard Rock by the shirt collars. The young man, will move to escort/force march the two out the door. "You had your ass kicked by Mighty Minnie in there without her working up a sweat, I think you may want to reconsider what your trying to do kid." He tells them. He does try to get them both out the front door, before Spike is up yet.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
"Hey!" Kaida calls out, "I'm not...oh forget it." She grumbles and leaps over to the counter where the shopkeep is and smiles at him, "You alright?" She asks and tilts her head at him. The guy at the counter doesn't really miss a beat. He is a little surprised by the mouse but this is Mutant Town. He just assumes, "I'm fine, little one." He states and nods his head and then offers her a smile.

"Good to hear!" She gives a thumbs up, "I'm Kaida, I'll be around. If it happens again, hopefully I'll be nearby but don't let idiots do that sorta thing."

Hard Rock lets out a grunt and Heat whimpers as Sam 'escorts' them away. It's more of a drag/push contest against an upset pair even as Spike begins to stagger after.

"Hey! We're leavin'!" He wants to shove Sam but a part of him wonders if his nose might fall off if he lets go.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie will look to the group and says "Don't come back." He will stare them each down, and while he may not have the Logan stare, Sam has seen some stuff, and his presence may hint at it. Once they are started heading away Sam will come back in, and looks around "Good job there miss." He says to the mouse lady as he walks over.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
The thugs are stagginer off, Heat stagginer more than the rest given the damage to the back of his ankles. He is being helped by Spike now. Kaida is about to run off when Sam comes back and she gives him a small salute, "Just doin' my duty as a great heroine of this world." She nods and places a hand on the pommel of her blade and the other goes to her hip, "Thanks for escoring them out!" She points at him, "That's always the hard part at my size."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie smiles a bit and says "Looks like you know what you were doing, may want to work on your take offs with your blasting a bit." He rubs the small dent in the wall. "You got pretty good aim, but you want to be able to do it no matter what your standing on, that and maybe work on a few ricochet combonations." He offers.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A blink at Sam, "Blast off? I mean, I wouldn't really call it that but..." She states and then considers a little what she did before looking at the wall and then at him, "I usuually move faster along the ground." She nods again before shrugging and then considers, "Ricochet combinations?" She then blinks and stares at him, "Wait, how would you know anything about any of that?" She looks at him with a tilt of her head, "I mean, cool advice, to be sure, but you seem awfully familiar."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie smirks a bit and says "Well, Ah do something close to what you did there, but on a larger scale, and flying of course." He runs a hand through his hair, and says "Always called it blasting as blasting off like a rocket or something."

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A consideration before she nods her head, "I see." She states and walks up closer and grins, "I'm Kaida!" She nods nad offers a tiny fist as usually shaking hands is much harder, "I go really fast and I'm really tough!" She nods her head, "I learned to combine it but never thought of tryin' to ricochet or somethin'. Not sure I can but I can certainly try!"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie offers his hand and says "Sam, a pleasure to meet you Kaida, I might be able to give you a few tips if you want them. Prob best to find a place where your not going to break anything showing me what you can do.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A grin as she bumps Sam's hand with her fist and then she nods, "Sure! I need to find food now but perhaps we can meet up somewhere? Know any good junk yards?" She asks and tilts her head as she looks up at Sam.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie hmms and thinks about it and names a spot. He pulls out a card and says "Not sure if you got a way to use it, but here is my number you can get in touch with me when ya have time.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
Taking the card, Kaida looks at it and then at him before laughing, "It's nearly half as tall as I am but thanks all the same!" She offers it back, "I'll just meet you there later." She considers, "Really need like a bag of holding or something." She chuckles and nods before she shrugs and gives him a salute, "See ya later!" ANd with that she leaps from the counter and races out the door.

Sam Guthrie watches her go and hmms "May have to see if I know some folks can help hook her up with a few things he says to himself as she leaves.
