Thomas Blake returns home. Never mind he has a different name he bought the house under. It's home sort of. This is despite the evil spirit in the basement who is really getting to be annoying and he should deal with it sometime. He burned about a pound of sage with no progress. Holy water? Maybe. Though any church he walked into would probably fall in in on itself in shock.
He comes up through the tunnel, basement and secret panel into the living room and throws a bulky messenger's bag on the couch. It is only when he pours himself a drink that he realizes he's still wearing his bronzed half mask. He sits it up on his head and sips a little scotch. The evil spirit chortles from the secret panel and gives him the finger. Thomas closes the panel in its rotted face. "Get lost! go bother Dr. Fate or someone." Then he settles into his chair.

Saeko was...well, not home. Home was technically among the Amatsu-kami, but her suite on Earth was a nice close second!
The Tenko was lazily basking, tails and ears revealed in the privacy of her hideaway while she lay across her bed, a small bowl of strawberries that had been an offering left at the small park shrine lazily being plucked and eaten one by one. She wasn't without a sweet tooth after all!

Thomas Blake sips some very good scotch. He opens the bag to reveal a couple of bundles of large bills.
Not enough, is it? You made a very powerful enemy in AlcheMax. You suffer from the disease Fundsa'lo. All your work so far had really only made them angry. They might let you alone at this point of you walk away. You have proven yourself a tried and true pain the corporate neck. Go to Zandia or Latveria and lay low for a while. Maybe Madripoor. The next person they hire to deal with their cat infestation will likely be wearing a costume. Possibly an eyepatch.
Why do the smart choices always sound wrong? All the work he put into making AlcheMax hurt was not really paying off. It was work though. He hated to just quit.
