School's Almost Out
Date of Scene: 04 June 2021
Location: Central Plaza - Happy Harbor High School
Synopsis: Morrigan's back at school. Hank comes to offer apologies and Damian has...had a broken leg!
Cast of Characters: Morrigan MacIntyre, Hank Pym, Damian Wayne

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Rome had been eventful and sadly cut a bit short after the Punisher decided to take out a target not too far from them on a catacomb tour. Now the Happy Harbor students and most faculty are back state side and settling into things again. The end of the school year is fast approaching, but the school would remain open for summer activities and intake of new students and others that would be staying with them.

Morrigan's practically been living at the school most days. Long hours didn't bother the Doctor. It did bother her assistants though and they'd told her to take a break. Which is now what she's done. Friday evenings should be spent relaxing after a long week anyways. So the woman is seated in the central plaza of the school with food that she ordered and reading through some documents.

Hank Pym has posed:
This is about when a giant ant approaches, bearing a large bouquet of flowers. Baudelaire waves his antennae questioningly. The bouguet zip lined to his service animal vest. Some way off Hank Pym stands and waves a handkerchief, a truce signal. Despite the warm weather he's wearing his Fire Ant armor under a trench coat. He smiles awkwardly.

Damian Wayne has posed:
Damian had refused to allow his leg to hamper his non-mask life. His cast was around the right leg, though it was not like the usual cast. The 3D printed skeleton wrapped around his lower leg and covered with a sports wrap. He did use one (1) crutch, even though he had to be convinced that indignity.

The sound of the crutch clunked every time he stepped close to the school's central plaza. He wore an even more sour look on his face than usual today.

Damian hadn't been looking for anyone in particular, but as he saw the two adults, he figured to stop at least at Hank. "Doctor Pym." He said, determined to get there...eventually.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan looks up when she hears the skittering of an Ant. There's a curious quirk of an eyebrow that is given to it, "Bo...why do you have flowers?" she asks. Then there's a look up to see if Hank is there and when she spots the waving of the white flag there's a soft snort. "You don't have to wave any flags, Doctor Pym." she waves him over with a chuckle. She reaches carefully for the flowers on Bo, "Thank you." she murmurs to him. Then she hears the clunk of a crutch and there's a frown when she catches sight of Damian, "Mister Wayne...what happened to your leg?" she asks him as she takes a moment to sniff the flowers before placing them on the table to see how folks are.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym approaches quickly, pulling a seat out for Damian. "Obviously he tripped over the invisibility suit he's devising. I can never find mine," Hank says softly. He seats himself and gestures at the flowers. "That's a combination 'Sorry I was an ass' and 'Thank God you're home' bouquet. Moving ahead, I have come to offer some help for your /expedition/. There's no one within earshot." He gives Damian and his cast another look. Interesting.

Damian Wayne has posed:
"Director MacIntyre." Damian offers, before resting on his left leg. "I fell mountain climbing." Flashes of The Joker shooting him with a hydraulic boxing glove appear in his thoughts. "The crampon slipped out..."

"If only tripping over my invisibility suit was the reason, it sounds much more interesting."

The youngest Wayne settles down and exhales slowly. "It broke the tibia, not fun." And added another scar to the copious amounts he already had.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a look to Hank and the explanation of what the flowers are for. "Apologies are unnecessary really. It's over and done with and we've moved on. But thank you. I appreciate it." she tells him with a smile. "I am glad to be home. Though I am curious to see if there's been any Punisher news here in town or if he's still on vacation." she shakes her head. Then she looks to Damian again and there's a soft frown, "Mountain climbing. Hmmm." she ponders that. "How long will it take to heal?" she asks him curiously.

Hank Pym has posed:
Damian's last remark gets a raised eyebrow from Hank. "The crampon broke your tibia? How odd. Crampons aren't that heavy I should think. Murphy's Law I suppose. I'm glad you weren't hurt any worse." He bought it. Riiight.

"If you'd like Baudelaire to convey you to your car or fly you home just ask. Or we can take my car. In any case I have two bits of school business to mention to Director MacIntyre."

Damian Wayne has posed:
"I was attached to the crampon, the landing broke the tibia." Damian's eyes squint just a little as he detects a hint of sarcasm. "School business? Should I be concerned?" Not excusing himself off, it seems. But given that Hank just gave Mo a bouquet and Damian hasn't connected ANY dots there just shows how aware of romance he is at fifteen.

"In answer to your question, Director, three more weeks should do it. According to the Doctor."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"The landing after the fall is what tends to break or kill things, yes. But...falling is not always a bad thing." Morrigan nods to this. She wasn't going to weird Damian out completely. "And nothing to be concerned about...or well, I don't think there is." she admits. Then her violet gaze flits over to Hank. Then back to Damian, "If...you'd like to be healed I can do it. I've not healed anyone in awhile so it should be fine." she admits.

Then back to Hank, "What's on your mind?" she asks him.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym retracts the outer shell of the armor, showing the network of cybernetics hugging his scalp. "First... I rebuilt my really big insect comm. It has range to range anywhere in the world with some prep. So when you go to get Tyler... you will have millions of allies and spies. I may be able to give you detailed information on your objective." He figures if Damian is cool to show magic to, he knows something about Tyler.

"Second I'd like to invite some teens from Mutant Town here, show them the campus. Show them we're not all bad. They should learn to tell the difference." There's also the matter of that Home Ec teacher. She clearly has it in for him after Cozette made off with some projects. He saves that for another day. These tidbits are loosely what he terms good news, more allies and more potential students.

Damian Wayne has posed:
"Heal? Of course you could. Should have figured the Director could also do more than just teach." Damian seems to be one of a scant few non-mutated, non-powered kids. But being the scion of arguably the most wealthy family in the world...yeah. Might as well be a superpower.

"If you wish to try, I would not deny the attempt. I loathe having to rely on a crutch to move around. Father wouldn't let me sink money into an exoskeletal frame. Said it would build character."

Damian observes Hank's line of statements. "New students. Fun." His tone sounds less enthused, but it is also not much different than his normal banter. Even at 'happy' he still manages to sound at least a bit surly.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"Any help with the mission to get Tyler back from the Order will be helpful. Hopefully the others that will be helping will be alright with my no killing rule. If not...it might get tense." Morrigan admits. "But thank you, spies would be appreciated." she nods to Hank.

News of Mutant Town makes her quirk an eyebrow, "I have a lot of experience there...mainly bailing someone from there out of jail." she muses. "But yes, absolutely. Feel free to bring them here and show them around. One of our things is to be accepting of all and Mutants are one of those groups that I think need to be given more of a chance." she admits.

Then she looks to Damian and there's a small chuckle, "I'm a Master of the Mystic Arts, but...I try not to use things unless we need to use powers. If I teach students that not everything is solved by their powers or abilities...then I'd be a hypocrit to use mine all the time." she points out as she rises.

Morrigan walks over to where Damian is and there's a shake of her head, "It wasn't like you were doing something silly or foolish and broke your leg. So I don't think there is a reason for you to suffer longer." she points out. "This might...tickle? I guess is the right word for it." she tells him. With that done, she sits down in a chair and her hands reach out towards Damian's leg, followed by neon violet tendrils of magic that seep through the cast and into the leg. Starting the healing process to reknit bone and fix tissue.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym watches the proceedings with interest. Magic is so cool. "I wish I could do magic..." he says wistfully.

He frowns at the story of bailing a Mutant out of jail. "What were the charges? Visible mutations? Breathing? Anyway making bail was nice of you."

Damian Wayne has posed:
"The Order?" Damian asks, prying just a little for more info.

"We went all this time without an incident with the students. It's all been outside of it." Approving of the additional students.

Damian looks to Hank and chuckles once. "You are not the only one who wishes that." Before long, Damian watches as the tendrils reach out to his leg, and fix what had been broken. "You aren't incorrect, Director." But he doesn't mind, his face never shows signs of pain or other distressing emotion.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan focuses more on the healing of Damian's leg. The violet is joined by tendrils of black though. Which normally isn't a color that comes with Morrigan's magics. Maybe it's just something new. "Everyone can do magic. You just have to practice it a lot and make sure that you've got a good teacher. Mine found me when I was a child thankfully." she admits. Or we'd have a scarier Morrigan. "And no, Jamie had been involved in some sort of business that went afoul and he got arrested. He got attacked by aliens getting out of jail and decided to punch a cop to go back. Sooooo...I had to go back in and bail him back out." she chuckles. "I really miss him." she adds with a soft sigh.

Then she looks to Damian as she curls her fingers inward, "Should be all back to normal." she smiles. Then she's rising and straightening, "The Order of St. Dumas. I'm going to go get Tyler back. It might be stupid...but I can't let any cult brainwash our students...or anyones children at that rate. They are in Malta." she tells him. "I've not made it known to the students because I know some like Irie will want to go and I just wouldn't forgive myself if they somehow got hurt." she frowns.

"Try walking." she paints on a smile as she looks from Damian to Hank.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym nods.

"The other day Nadia came to me out of the blue and it turned out these guys from Nowhere tried to kidnap her, neutralized her Pym particles and blew up her lab. Aaaaaand all right villains are going to do that but... they made my baby doubt herself, I think. I'm running down leads on them and when I find them... they are going to learn why SHIELD and the Avengers both worry about Hank Pym, quite beyond his size morphing," Hank says softly and very seriously.

"I'm going to commit science on them. No kid should be made to doubt themselves."

Damian Wayne has posed:
"The Order of St. Dumas..." Damian attempts to play as if he doesn't know them, but there is a tinge of familiarity in his voice.

And they are in Malta...perhaps one of the Dynamic Duo needs to lend a hand...

Hank's story about Nadia has him glaze over a little bit, they never have gotten along, and in fact, one does not enjoy the other's company. But it was the final words 'No kid should be made to doubt themselves.' that stick with him...poignant...and far from some other adults in his life. He will have to remember that.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a look to Hank and there's a frown, "I'm sorry that someone did that to Nadia." she tells him. Mo didn't have kids to protect other than the students. Maybe that's why she was so mama bear about them. "Just don't kill anyone, Hank." she states.

Then she looks to Damian, "Yeah, it's the group that tried to kidnap Tyler last year and then we had the issues with them this year." she frowns. "Everything will go alright though. I'm sure of it." she smiles.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym nods. "Death won't serve any purpose. These clowns don't care about dying. No... I have to be creative. Turn them into babies or something. I'm working on it." He looks thoughtful. "A shoebox sized prison is an option. Nah, I'm not the sort to go Punisher on people. I am not comfortable with it. It betrays a lack of control and planning, a failure of vision. That said it happens."

Damian Wayne has posed:
Damian walks around on the newly healed leg, and finally cracks a smile after weeks. "That feels good as new, Director, thank you." He says peacefully, and about as happy as he's ever sounded. "I did not like walking around with a crutch like Tiny Tim." I wonder why...

"I do not know how much I can help you, Doctors, but if there is anything. Let me know." His voice is genuine, and he very well knows he may have to don a mask again for the school.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"This is true." Morrigan nods to this. Though the mention of the Punisher makes her hand wobble, "Mister Castle tends to be very careful not to injure innocents if he can help it. I can't state my real opinion on vigilantism though." she tells them. Or well...she was going to go do some. "You'll do what is needed. That's what matters." she smiles to Hank. Then she looks to Damian and there's a little clap of her hands, "Perfect! Now you can...go back to mountain climbing...or well, no, don't do that." she chuckles.

"I do have a meeting that I need to get to, so I apologize for leaving so soon." she states as she starts to gather her things. But to Damian she looks, "I just need you to stay in one piece." she tells him. "And if your dad has questions on the leg...please let him know he can call." she offers.
