Cast of Characters: Gabby Kinney, Atrid

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney crouches by the edge of the lake with one arm draped over her knee. The other reaches down to fumble through the grass picking out rocks that she finds along the way to stockpile a small gathering beside her. Just the rounder stones that might be good for skipping across the lake. She's a bit distracted by her searching as it's gotten darker making it harder to see.

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen walks down to the lake shirtless his athletically toned chest and stomach on display still wearing swim trunks right side red with flames at the bottom right white with ice at the bottom. Spotting Gabby he moves closer igniting his hand with his flames smiling as he gets closer. "Hey Gabs whats up dahlin'?" He asks smiling as he gets closer and crouches beside her. "Ya doin' alright?"

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney blinks at the sudden brightening of the area around her heralding Atrid's approach. She turns to flash him a smile as he crouches down, and she gestures slightly at the pile of stones she'd already gathered. "Oh, yeah, I'm fine. I was just gathering rocks to skip. Didn't feel like going to bed yet," she explains with a simple rolling shrug of her shoulders. A glance skims over him before she grins in amusement. "I can guess what you were up to."

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen shakes his head a bit with a chuckles. "Yea wasnt exactly tired yet either. I apologize if I blinded you I was trying to help figured the light would help a bit either in navigating or looking for things." He looks out over the lake. "Man this place is huge huh? Oh you think you can guess, well than Gabs what was I up to?" He asks playfully as he sits down. "Its good that youre fine, and skipping rocks, I dont think Ive ever tried that. Is it fun?"

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney rolls her eyes just a little bit with a smirk of amusement at the apology, and teasing. "Either swimming or you're trying out for Greek oil wrestling," she points out with a chuckle. "Yeah, it's fun. Takes a bit of skill to do. I'm not that great at it yet but it's nice to do and kind of calming." Rocking her weight to her heels she sits back only to stretch her legs out wiggling her toes in the ticklish grass. They were already a bit muddy which is why her shoes were left off to the side. "Though it's a bit muddy around the edge of the lake."

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen chuckles shaking his head. "Nah neither of those actually, but wait Greek oil wrestling?" He asks with a laugh. "Im not so sure I know what that is or if I'd even want to be involved in that." Than he starts looking around at the ground by him trying to find some rocks to skip. "No Jubilee managed to get a thing called the Crocodile mile, its a slip and slide that ends in a pool. So I decided to give it a try, but than she and Noriko were trying to get me to hook them up with pizza since I work at the Pizza Joint." Shrugging. "As for mud that doesnt really bother me I lived on the streets for a while remember."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Eh, some people get freaked out about muddy feet. Ellie's always complaining when I track mud into our room," Gabby points out. Reaching down she picks out a stone or two to offer over. "Well give it a shot. The goal is to try and get it to skim across the top of the water so that it 'skips' several times before it sinks. Logan made it almost across the lake when he first showed me."

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen grins and takes the stones and in his left hand before extinguishing the right. "Probably a good idea not to try and do this with a flaming hand yes? I never understood getting freaked out by muddy feet and such." Taking the first rock and tossing it although it hits the water and sinks. "Damn... So Logan taught you to do this? And hes your father right?" Atrid asks curiously. "Not trying to pry or nothin' just tryina get to know you." With that he tosses the second stone watching as it skips four times before sinking with a plop. "Well I guess I aint as good as he is at this."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney shrugs slightly at the question. "Sort of." Taking a stone in her own hand she hooks her pointer finger around it's flat edge before pulling her hand back to lob it low out over the water. It skips once, twice, three... and four... before the momentum slows enough for it to plunk down into the water. "Technically I don't have any parents. Laura is a clone of Logan, and I'm a clone of *her*. So he'd actually be closer to my grandpa. But that doesn't quite work. Laura's a sister, so he's the closest I have to a dad. Plus I think it annoys him a little," she adds mischeviously.

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen chuckles and looks to Gabby. "I see so you like to annoy Logan, like teasing him I get it. Yea I can see where it would be complicated and confusing, I didnt even know cloning like that was a thing until you told me." He says softly. "Well you know all about where I came from, and now I know more about your history, and will only ever ask you to share that which youre comfortable with sharing. So aside from climbing buildings and chowing down on Pizza, what do you like to do?" Atrid looks around finding another flat stone is difficult but he does eventually. He follows Gabby's form and tries it again tossing it and it skips once, twice, three, four, five times and plunks in. "Despite my powers being fire and ice I love swimming, how about you?"

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Food. I like food. Not just pizza, but all foods. Lots of different types. I didn't get much in the labs that wasn't part of a strict diet plan so I like to try new things now." Gabby sighs softly. "There's so much I haven't gotten to try! But there's time now. As for what I like, I still try to figure that out. I like colors, and cute animals, and fashion."

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen smiles and chuckles looking at Gabby. "So colors, Fashion, Cute animals and food." He taps his chin a couple of times in thought. "How about movies, and Music anything in particular you like there?"

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney thinks a few moments, "Action movies, comedies. I've seen a few horror movies but not a lot yet." Gesturing back the way the school is she points out, "I've got a list of pop culture movies and things that are recommended I ought to watch that I've been working through. Other than the random movie nights we have. I like upbeat music, too. And some metal and rock." Tipping her head at him she lifts an eyebrow faintly. "You? Seems like you're trying your hardest to get to know me."

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen smiles and shrugs a bit. "Well I mean friends get to know each other, and well I did ask you out on a date, so getting to know your likes and dislikes makes that easier to do when/and if we get to that point. As for me I love Action, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Horror, some comedies, and most 80's flicks. Music ranges from Classic Rock to Goth, to Death Metal, Black Metal, and folk metal as well as standard heavy metal. If youd like I can stop asking questions though I dont wish to make you uncomfortable."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney smiles wanly in return at the remarks. Looking forward across the lake she nods slightly. "Yeah. I don't mind talking about myself but there's still a lot I haven't figured out about who I am. I'm working on it. I just like, well, everything. Because I get to try new things until I learn what I don't like." Another rock is plucked up, juggled in her grip, and she lobs it into the water. A bit harder than she ought to and not quite at the right angle so it only skips a few times before sinking. "I wasn't raised in a nice way by nice people. You know, I used to have a lock box of weapons I hid in the lake? Until some teachers pointed out that it might be found by some of the others that can swim or breath under water." Again she pauses, before adding, "I know how to kill people even if I haven't myself. My sisters kept me away from that part of it. I know *they* did, though. I'm trying not to be like that."

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen nods his head softly and thoughtfully. "Listen Gabs, there's nothing that you can tell me that will make me think less of you." He says with a reassuring smile. "Im not the most innocent of people myself." He picks up a rock and thinks before he speaks. "My parents prior to me becoming a mutant were decent people, they loved me and treated me well. They hated mutants though. I saw this as a major flaw because I didnt understand it. To me these kids, and people were just that kids and people, just a bit different." Sighing he continues. "From the time I was eleven or twelve people made fun of me all the time, because I dressed differently, and started to get anti social." He stops and breathes for a moment. "I was thirteen when my powers manifested, and was walking home from school, or something and this gang of kids attacked me, and harassed me. I was so scared that theyd kill me that I lost control and accidentally set a dumpster ablaze when they charged me I reached out and accidentally froze the ground and the leader slid on the ice and fell face first into the flames I can still smell the flesh and hair burning from his third or fourth degree burns." Stopping he takes another deep breath. "Im also highly trained in Martial arts, I can kill I choose not to but almost did that day. So Im glad your sisters have kept you from doing it. Even though they may have killed me I still feel guilt every day over what happened to their leader."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney crinkles her nose just a bit at that before reaching out to pat his shoulder sympathetically. "That really sucks. At least my powers are just kind of... Healy. And stabby. I'm sorry you went through that." She grows quiet a moment before pushing up to her feet. Dusting her hands off on her sides she sighs. "Should get inside now and get some rest. You heading back in or staying out?"

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen stands up and smiles at her as he dusts himself off. "Thank you Gabs, that means a lot. And healy and stabby have good uses to be sure." He says softly. "Thank you for the sympathy." Looking back towards the Mansion he nods. "Yea I think Im gonna head back too, get a bit of shut eye for a little while."
