Cast of Characters: Julian Keller, Alex Summers, Madison Evans

Julian Keller has posed:
Field trips, he hated them as a student and they're still not Julian's favorite things. But he's trying, he's really trying to do this whole 'adulting' thing. It sucks most days, about as bad as field trips. But he's here, along with a group of students, as one of the chaperones for a trip to Moth Caves, a small system just to the south of Howe Caverns. The system is named for the Luna months that tend to gather inside in numbers out of place for the area, particularly for 'underground' in the area.
The trip was limited to grade ten and up, due to the age limit for unguided exploration set to fifteen, even with an accompanying adult.
Of the then students that decided to show, three of them have been assigned to Julian specifically. Bet they're *thrilled*.
His charges and the others, are all gathered outside the cave's main entrance now and Julian is looking over a map of the system, a copy of said map was provided to all students and chaperones. He's talking to Alex when he says, "This route here seems to be the most straight forward through..." Are they looking for straightforward or a challenge?

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex Summers may be a frequent guest at the X-mansion and brother to one of the most prominent members of the faculty. He also, as it happens, is a professional geophysicist with his own teaching credentials at Empire State University. And a frequent spelunker in his own right.

He looks at where Julian gestures, "Straight forward is good with first timers. The fewer opportunities for people to take wrong turns, to get lost in offshoots, the better. We need to mark any side passage along the way. I've brought ribbon for just such purposes. Then, if we lose any one and backtrack, the broken ribbon may tell us which way they've gone."

Madison Evans has posed:
Madison, of course, had no way of knowing that the Xavier Institute would be here today. She was here with her mother, likewise peering over a map and trying to decide their route through the caverns. "This cave here is supposed to have the most interesting rock formations," she says in a voice that seems to have little in the way of volume control. "You think we can make it to there?"
