Michael Hannigan has posed:
While McDuffie Hospital can see a bit of foot traffic after typical office working hours. The early, post-lunch afternoon hours tend to be a bit lighter in foot traffic. That's not to say that the building is abandoned by any means. But most persons are where they already need to be leaving the hallways easy to navigate.

So perhaps that is why a visit involving the Make A Wish foundation was scheduled around this time. One child, currently undergoing one of their scheduled treatments, has no idea of the surprise that's pulling up in a hired car just outside the Lobby. The parents on the hand are very much aware as they wait just inside the door alongside a couple members of hospital staff.

Jon Kent has posed:
Jon had received a request for a Make A Wish kid...which was unsettling to say the least. He was here, not in his own time, but he couldn't help but help out. So, when the request came in, he had to hold back tears of honor. He would have never thought he would be asked to do this kind of thing.

The teen put on his hoodie and his red chucks, even though the old jeans had been given a proper funeral, as in, were tossed in the incinerator chute. So, he looked quite the Superboy he was, instead of Jon Kent, mild mannered High School soon-to-be sophomore. "Y-you ever do this kinda thing before?" He asked Nick, the boy was definitely out of his comfort zone, but it was a noble cause, and he wouldn't back down from fulfilling a wish.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
While it seemed normal to get a hired car for Nick Drago, it was a little surreal that Superboy was in the car too. But, being that it's supposed to be a surprise and they're waiting for a que from one of the staffers to step into sight, a car with tinted windows was probably a bit less conspicuous than a teen in blue and red attire floating outside the hospital for hours on end. Also the car had air conditioning. Which is nice for June.

Detecting a bit of nervousness, the wild haired rocker turns his head to look to Jon, giving an easy smile. "A few times." He admits, "First time for you?"

Jon Kent has posed:
"Yeah, I heard from the wish people that Paul wanted to meet me as a part of his wish...and I was floored. It's...a new thing for me." Realistically, he has lifted buildings, and fought bad guys threatening the world. But this...this was making him more nervous than anything else. He didn't want to disappoint Paul, that would be terrible.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The lips close as Nick gives a nod. "Hmm." He leans forward a bit, resting his forearms against his upper legs. One hand balls up, getting wrapped by the other as he glances to the back of the seat in front of him. "It's an overused expression but it fits. 'You never forget your first.' First concert. First movie. First Make a Wish... And each time you experience a first, there's going to be a bit of nervousness going in."

Pale eyes glances over to the younger male. "My advice is to enjoy it and have fun. Just by being here will probably make his day. You enjoying the visit along with him? He'll pick up on that."

Jon Kent has posed:
Jon looks out the window, and then back to Nick as he doles out some useful wisdom. "I'm sure I will. It's just like...a band-aid."

Jon's shaggy hair was a product of his physiology, he hadn't yet asked Supergirl or Superman or even the first Superboy if they could help him trim it, since they all had to heat beam it off. "I don't think I could get used to this..." he offers up. "The eyes on you at all times, at least when I take this off...I can just live my life away from it all."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
A brow lifts, "A band-aid? Well, no matter the size of the dressing, every little bit helps."

He sits up, head turning to look out. He sees another hospital staffer joining the parents just inside the lobby.

"You find ways of coping with it." Nick replies, "The use of a stage name helps. Different clothes. Different name. Different mannerisms..." He glances over to Superboy, "I'm guessing that I am more or less doing what you're probably doing. It's good to have a bit of separation from work and personal life."

Jon Kent has posed:
Jon's worried neutral expression washes off to a happier one, building up to meet with Paul and his family. "Oh, my real name is Superboy. So...dang." A couple giggles before he continues. "We all do. Not just for protecting the ones we love, but it helps to escape."

Superboy caught a glance outside, before he says anything more. "I think this may be them? Just waiting for the guest of honor."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Nick nods, scruitinizing the small gathering in the Lobby. There is a thunk to the back of the car as a trunk is closed and a figure walks over to the outside of the door, holding a guitar case. "Looks like it's near showtime." The rocker answers, giving a brief glance to Jon, "If you feel over your head, let me know. But I have a feeling you'll be fine."
