Cast of Characters: Hank Pym, Atlin

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym has skipped down this street in days gone by. Now, despite the fact, the fates are seeming to favor him. Superhero woes? Pondering vast problems? Worry about his daughter get kidnapped regularly?

Nope.

In fact the great man is nursing a mother of a hangover, his first in quite some time. He's been off alcohol for quite a while. It conflicts with his bipolar meds. However, last night was Nadia's birthday and everyone wanted a drink with the dad. Also being in the same room with Janet require large amounts of booze to maintain his serenity.

He might have kissed Janet towards the end of the evening. Byt then his giant ants were dancing. He thinks.

Kissing Janet is a good way to avoid alcohol in the future.

Wraparound dad sunglasses in place he waits for a table to open up. Lalo's does a brisk brunch hour.

Atlin has posed:
Atlin was a warrior, as with most of her sisters. Like most cultures built around combat they weren't strangers to the idea of celebration and alcohol...but it tended to take more than a little to have an Amazon like her quite that ruined.

Then again, Atlin herself didn't quite look like a dangerous demigod warrior right now. Instead? The young woman was currently sitting within the cafe awaiting her own meal, excitement plain on her face as she sipped her mug of hot chocolate despite the weather.

Food had been the best thing about Man's world, all the change and variety...and this place had desserts she'd never tried before!

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym wobbles over to a table next to Atlin and sits down heavily, fragile mortal that he is. He picks up the menu. Igh, hot chocolate in this heat? Well takes all kinds. He orders Hibiscus iced tea and the staff know him and do not keep him waiting long. He adds a little sugar and sips the blood red drink. The red color makes him wonder what Mo is up to these days. If Atlin looks over at him she gets a polite nod. He isn't a warm friendly person most times unless you are school age. For his part, Hank doesn't have any of his gear visible and looks... like a teacher? Uncle? Dad? Nice hair anyway, first gray hairs among the blond.

Atlin has posed:
Compared to Bana-Mighdall? This place was relatively cool. And chocolate had been a heck of a luxury! Sipping her drink, the tanned blonde looks up as Hank sits himself down, tilting her head to the side and giving a little chuckle of amusement as she waits for her slice of cheesecake.

"You are suffering the aftermath of celebration?" she questions, her accented words carrying her amusement.

Hank Pym has posed:
Possible responses: "Ya think, blondie?" -Classic Pym.

"I woke up dead this morning," Whimsical Pym.

Hmmm. Got to give her a free pass, either she hasn't been here enough to know me or she's tough enough not to care.

"It was my daughter's birthday celebration. Everyone wanted a drink with me. I... really don't drink anymore for personal reasons. I may have... smooched my ex-wife. In which case I may need to continue drinking. Most people here let me alone when I'm feeling down. You must be from out of town." He holds a hand out, "Dr. Henry Johnathon Pym. Teacher, father, Avenger." Small smile because it starts to hurt.

Atlin has posed:
Given the name doesn't offer any visual response of recognition, a likely answer is that she doesn't know who he was. The accent makes it pretty clear she wasn't a local as he said, but the title of 'Avenger' makes her blink.

"I have heard of the Avengers," she muses and looks the man over.

Whatever her assessment? She makes to lazily brush her locks back before reaching for her plate as the cake arrives.

"It sounds like quite the celebration, fraught with being lead astray apparently."

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym nods and scowls from the motion. "Between you and me, I think I was the only one led astray. Supersolders, genetically modified superhumans, much younger truly fit people. I might have been the only one that hammered. Ah well. You can't hold back time... may I ask where you're from?" He holds a fnger up to the server who nods and goes to plaqce an order. A man with a routine apparently. "They have excellent desserts here."
