Cast of Characters: Colleen Wing, Elektra Natchios

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen had not stopped picking through the still smoking remains of her home. Neighbours, too, were picking through damaged parts of their buildings. The fire was hot and fast. Arson, the fire marshal had said. Probably gang related. Well, duh, she knows exactly who to blame for this. Not that she could prove it to the police.

There's a profound sadness within her. She made this dojo with her own two hands. She built it up and its reputation. She gave it life and gave the youth of China town a place to train and grow.

She finds the central beam from her dojo, the one that was always in the way of drills. The one she had used for punching practice for years now. It was mostly burnt, but the old stubborn wood somehow survived.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Elektra knew there would be consequences. She had seen the news. The attack on various places she had tagged in the past as belonging to the Hand. And you didn't meddle with Gao without retaliation.

The assassin makes her way to the neighborhood, watching the plumes of smoke up in the air where once there was Chikara Dojo, eyes up on the sky briefly before looking ahead and wandering to the entrance to the ruins. She knew Colleen wouldn't be far. If she was still alive. But she also knew Bakuto wouldn't had allowed her to die just like that...

"Colleen." She says to the young woman, expression rather neutral, taking in the other woman's overall posture.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen tears her eyes away from the beam when she hears her name. She turns around and sees Elektra, "Hey Elektra." She looks sombre, though she hasn't been crying. She too knew there'd be retaliation for what she did. She still knows she did the right thing.

The thought had occurred to her the day that Bakuto said he was going after bigger problems. Wrap them all up with a big bow and hand them over to the DEA and the FBI. Those two groups were chomping at the bit to know where the drugs were coming from.

She lets her arms drop to her sides, "It could have been worse." They both know what she's talking about. She approaches her friend and attempts a hug. "Hey do you have a spare bed by any chance?" The only things she owns now - less than what she had when she first arrived in the USA. At least she still has her family sword, it was with her when the place went up.

"I'd say this is a formal declaration that the truce is over." The truce where she doesn't mess with The Hand and The Hand declares her dojo off limits. It was a comfortable arrangement but not one that was ever going to last. Finally, it had run its course.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
The assassin's dark gaze hardens just so in that manner that seems to say 'you should had told us', Elektra setting her jaw and making her way further into the dojo, closer to the young woman. "What's done is done." is what she tells her then, watching the approach, a brow starting to rise before she eventually relents and accepts the hug, one of her arms going around Colleen's back and bringing the shorter woman against her chest. "Now we look forward."

Forward to revenge and death. Yes, Elektra was quite comfortable in that setting.

She does look a touch surprised at Colleen asking for a bed at her place. Maybe she expected her to ask Matt, or even Danny. It has her letting out a brief chuckle. At what point had she become so close to Colleen? "I am sure I can accommodate for something in the 'small' penthouse." yes, yes, the eternal private joke.

"As long as you are good with Selene also living there.." Now that seemed like some news. But she doesn't linger on those, instead nodding at the broken truce. "Truces aren't meant to last, but to be used for advantage." but then her eyes down on Colleen and she asks. "Was it worth it?"

Colleen Wing has posed:
She looks a touch amused, "The small penthouse. Right." Her eyebrows raise at the mention of Selene, "Does she sleep in a coffin or..." Not really expecting an answer she hmphs softly. "He let slip something new. About Black Sky. He didn't seem to know about the shadow control that the one we fought could do. But he said Black Sky obeys the royals." She shakes her head, "Any thoughts on what that could mean? I thought he obeyed The Hand, but.. the way Bakuto spoke it was more that the hand uses Black Sky .. and Black Sky obeys the royals."

She shrugs and says, "Everything about it is a mystery. I'm pretty sure he has no idea who Black Sky is, but expects them to appear soon."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
That question on where Selene sleeps does indeed go unanswered, Elektra only arching her brows in return. Amused? Perhaps a bit. But it doesn't stay for long, expression sobering up at the mention of Black Sky. There's a small frown that rises on her expression. "Perhaps an influence from that mad world they came from." she figures from the powers the other one had. "And it's true he was obeying the false Matthew without fault. But would Matthew be a royal there..?" that makes her consider.

And a royal for what? She thinks.

Lips jerk to the side as she mulls it over. "The Hand never had any royalty, it was never their way. So it makes little sense that their weapon would obey someone of royalty." dark eyes then settling on Colleen's.

"Unless they stole it." which was a very Hand thing to do. Grabby Hands and all that.

"Kun'lun did have royalty though, but I know very little of their story. Danny would know more."

Colleen Wing has posed:
She nods her head, "I think you've probably figured it out. They must have a way of faking being royalty to make black sky obey them. So they stole a weapon from Kun'lun then. I'm sure Danny will have stories that are vaguely relevant."

She walks over and picks up her sword and scabbard, slinging them over her back. "I guess I'm done here for now. There's no point trying to rebuilt it yet. They'd just burn it down again. The good news is - they wouldn't have done this if I hadn't hurt them. We're going to need to be on alert. Odds are they'll attempt to assassinate me soon."

    Colleen asks, "...Where to?"
