Hack, hack, hacking.
Date of Scene: 28 June 2021
Location: Arrowcave
Synopsis: The siblings get ready to take on the bad guys. In this case, Thea actually has advantage, due to actually understanding 'the lingo'.
Cast of Characters: Oliver Queen, Thea Queen

Oliver Queen has posed:
"Hey... don't be gone too long. I'm not sure what to do with.." Oliver points at the computer system that has been so expertly set up and is running several processes in the background. The screen saver pops on a minute or three after a certain perky blonde has up and left her spot.

Dinner, she said. She wanted food!

Still, armed with information, Oliver is down in the 'cave' in a pair of sweatpants, a t-shirt.. and barefeet. Initially the plan had been to get suited up and take a stroll across the buildings to do a quick scouting of the pharmaceuticals, but now?

Now, he is suiting up and paying someone a quick visit for more information. Of course, with housecalls like these, Oliver really doesn't mind company, and with Diggle out, and Felicity gone to dinner (she better bring back a burger as promised!)? No, no.. last really isn't least. It is nice to be able to rely on family...

Thea Queen has posed:
Thea has been off and on around the mansion as of late. Rumors that she dragged Felicity to some night out (and no reported booze drinking from Thea from the faithful blonde), then some small media scandal at some gala. But knowing her .., she most likely had gone to that place for 'work'. The vigilante kind. Not that she had explained what happened. Just as she had barely explained the Sweden trip.

But tonight here she is. Maybe it's that young sister radar that bleeped? Knew it was time to be back? Check on her brother and make sure he isn't let on his own along his demons?

The woman's voice is heard as the code is punched in and she makes her way downstairs. "Oh no." the side of her mouth quirking up. "Did she leave you hanging with the dreaded screensaver?" she pads over to where Oliver is sitting.

Had she heard about Vanessa? Most likely. One hand rests on Oliver's shoulder and she tells him. "I told her to bring an extra one." a burger, that is.

Eyes rest on him in a studying manner, asking all those questions they don't need to verbalize when together, eyes then up to the screen.

Oliver Queen has posed:
Little sisters most certainly have their own brand of radar. They *ping* in and home in on places where they're needed (in truth or perhaps just in their own minds), thus appearing as if summoned by magic. He's still near the computers, the 'follow the bouncing ball' screen saver catching his eye every few moments. Hard to tear his attention away!

But he does manage it, and as he pads towards the case where his suit hangs, he catches the form and figure of said little sister. Looking back as the monitor is mentioned, Oliver starts off with an acknowledging grunt. There might be a 'yeah' embedded in there, but after awhile, one hears words in the grunts, even in their absence. As she approaches, he pauses, tightens his jaw as if to give silent affirmation to her own thoughts, and and he chuffs a breathed laugh. It's soft, doesn't quite reach, but he's obviously thankful for the thought. "Perfect. One for you too, right?"

A hand rises to rest on top of the smaller, more delicate hand, and will give it a hint of a squeeze.

"I.." Nope, not going to go what is really laying on his mind, and instead, there's work to be done. Time to bury himself there. Either work, or running the boards, the docs, or working out in the cave. So, right now? Work.. works.

"We got wind of a hacker that is targeting certain soft spots. At first, apparently it seemed pretty disjointed. There's a program out there where the hacker and shut down a computer system, then hold it for ransom. Usually it's about ten thousand for the key, and they'd only been targeting homes, schools.. but now? Police stations. Oil pipelines. They're getting more confident that they'll be paid."

Thea Queen has posed:
There's a moment there that Thea is almost afraid Oliver will be drawn into that bouncing ball and just drift away with his mind. It's not a good thing, and she may have been to blame to have done in the past. Never in civilized company though, which means never with his brother around. If anything she knew how to isolate herself, but she surely wasn't going to be letting Ollie do the same.

So when he goes for the suit? Seems like the best alternative. Work, the nocturnal kind. She could do that.

"With all the toppings I am entitled to." She assures her brother with a faint smile, casting a look at her suit in display within the cave as well. Does she hesitate? What is there to hesitate about anyway, she'd help his brother in this. Work or otherwise.

"Ransomware. Must be a good hacker to be able to target the systems he's aiming for. I trust Felicity has been on his case?" she asks, folding her arms together and lingering close to Oliver now. "Or do you have a lead to follow already?" she questions.

Work does indeed ..., work. Personal problems set away even if Thea knew well it'd only be temporary.

Oliver Queen has posed:
"That's what she called it," Ollie confirms as he opens the case to pull his suit out. A glance is given to the side, towards the smaller red suit that still hangs in a place of honor. Nothing short of the world ending could get him to move it.

The shirt is taken first, and he shrugs out of his cotton tee and sets it on the table before pulling on the leather.

"Of course. That's why I actually have an address to go to." A quick, tight smile flickers, there and gone as he sets the the fasteners, settling the heavy fabric on his shoulders properly.

"But, when she gets back, she said she'd do.. something." Glancing towards the door as if expecting //someone// to appear, he exhales in an audible breath again, and brings his attention back to the suit. The cowl is pulled and set on the floor of the case.

Focus.

"So.. because you are the smarter one of us, you have a choice. Man the computer until Fel gets back and enjoy the burgers, or come with me and we feast on cold burgers later." Beat. "Upstairs, after Mother goes to bed."

Thea Queen has posed:
"Computer magic?" Fingertips wiggling towards Oliver, not hiding some of her amusement there, a glance to that same door too. Still locked. But she also knew Felicity should still take a bit to return. She did tend to get distracted ... Even if abs weren't included. It makes her smile a touch fondly before her focus goes back to her own suit as Ollie gets dressed.

"How can I resist such an offer..?" Is Thea relieved that Oliver told her to go with him. Well, it means it won't have to be *her* suggesting so. And it does help in a few other matters, like being wanted. "Like when we were kids, sneaking a quick burger in the dark..." and hiding from their parents, of course.

The youngest Queen makes way to that black and red suit, taking it off from where it's hanging and starts to get ready for it. Shirt off, pants. It's not hard to get back in and soon enough she is finishing tightening up the straps about her form, hood up.

She exhales at the familiar feeling as she finishes strapping on the domino mask.

"What's our destination?" She picks her bow up from the stand, along with her blade, strapping it to her back.
