Cast of Characters: Michael Hannigan, Jon Kent

Michael Hannigan has posed:
If there's one thing that is known by those who have ever looked into City Spire as a potential place to live, it's that it has an amazing location. Most of the even numbered apartments high up enough have some sort of view of Central Park. And for those who weren't that lucky, the roof more than makes up for it.

The door to the roof area opens, allowing for Mike to step out onto the reasonably well furnished area. In his hands there is a grocery tote bag, filled with something. But being that there's no one else up here and no tables set up. It's not likely he's preparing for an early 3rd of July cookout.

After making sure no one else is present or lingering on any nearby roofs, the musician gives a slight nod to himself. He glances upwards to the clear sky. Is this going to work? Hell if he knows, but it's the best way he could think of doing it.

"Superboy?!"

And if it doesn't, at least he made sure no one could identify the crazy man shouting on the rooftop.

Jon Kent has posed:
It took a while to get to New York from Metropolis, a minute for the young man to change and fly over.

Jon recognized the voice. It was Mike, he had concerned himself with the rock star lately.

So, there he was, after a couple minutes, flying up to the resort roof. He was dressed in jeans and a white tee for now, doing his best greaser impression. "N-umm. Nick. How are you this evening?" He asks the older man.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
During the minute, Mike glances up to the sky. Hmm. How long is the appropriate amount of time to wait in situations like these? For all he knows, Superboy could be on the other side of the world fighting...Godzilla or something.

The visual of the flying guy in jeans and a tee is hard to miss. Blinking Nick gives an impressed nod. "Wow. You guys really are fast..." The hand nearest the totebag grabs on to the strap. "I'm doing alright. The Gotham concert got rescheduled to after the fourth so I ended up with an extended weekend off so... extra time." He tilts his head curiously, "I didn't interrupt anything important, did I?"

Jon Kent has posed:
Jon's body keeps floating around. "Sorry to hear that. I hope everything is fine regarding the schedule." Jon comments, gesticulating with his forearms as he lands on the roof. "No, not thing that wasn't okay. Mostly just trimming my tail." He leaves that wide open for Mike to freak out a little bit before a smile on his face gives him away.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Jon's comment about the tail gets a confused look out of Mike as he starts to glance down before stopping, looking back up. Seeing the smile, he ends up mirroring it as it starts to register. "Ah. Ok, you confused me there for a bit." He brings up his free hand to rub the back of the neck, "Uh the schedule will get worked out. Wade's no slouch when it comes to managing it. But, precaution after the dressing room thing. I already had the 4th off. So- bright side is I get a few extra days of rest squeezed in before that."

He glances back to the Tote. "But, I mainly called you over regarding your Hoodie. I had time to look at it. You weren't kiding about how bad it was."

Jon Kent has posed:
"Yes I don't have a tail. Got ten fingers, two eyes, and a mouth. Oh and twelve toes." Wink.

"Yeah, the old thing was getting rough before, but the clawing...that was the final straw." Jon grimaces just a bit before he looks up to Mike. "I understand if it was too far gone. I just get sentimental over that old thing I found at the Goodwill." Jon's smile turns a little embarrassed but it was still fun. "A gift from my mom, too."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike nods, "I get that. Last gift my mom got me was a used book. Collected works of Edgar Allan Poe. Still have it. Still read it time to time. I'd hate it if anything happened to it."

The musician pauses, starting to open the tote bag. "Ok. I wasn't able to make it a hoodie again. But, I took some concert shirts to use for a backing and I was able to mostly get the pattern back together."

He tugs out something that most definitely does not resemble a hoodie. He hands the pillow over. "I know it's not the same but- Uh, the case is reversible. the pattern's on one side, concert tee pattern's on the other. Just put concert side out when washing it to protect the hoodie side."

Jon Kent has posed:
Jon's blue eyes look over the hoodie-pillow. The 'S' of their family front and center. It was obviously repaired. But that didn't matter, the item itself was still there, every part of its original form. "Oh man..." Jon takes the pillow and smiles, putting his hand on the pillow and giving it a hug. "Thank you, so much."

He holds onto the pillow and offers Mike a hug as well, gratitude it seems is not lost on the Superman-clan.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The older man is quiet, watching as Jon inspects the work. When Mike sees the pillow getting hugged and the smile, he lets out a breath he didn't even realize he was holding. He gives a nod to the thanks.

As Jon comes in, bringing an arm up for a hug, Mike shifts, allowing for the arm to wrap around. The free arm lowers, returning the gesture, giving a pat on the back. "Well, thank you for coming by to help when I was needing it. Very much appreciated. Not sure what I'd done if you guys hadn't shown up."

Get dragged to whereever it is the demon wanted? Get shot? Have to listen to more old style insults from a broken monocled jackass? Plenty of possibilities really.

Jon Kent has posed:
"Your concert was good too." Jon adds in, now admitting he was there before the issue with Gentleman Ghost.

"And that is what we do, help when people need it. Luckily enough, I heard you arguing with the guy, but between Vorpal, me, Hawkman, you, and the other guy? I'm pretty sure we had him beat."

"That guy really doesn't like you, Gentleman Ghost." But of course, he is always willing to help, especially when it comes to Nick

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike nods, pulling away. "Yeah, it looks like that. Definitely looks like he doesn't like Hawkman either." He slides the now empty totebag off his shoulder, starting to fold it up, "You guys defintely made short work of what he was trying."

He considers something. "After the restaurant, I got approached by a couple people. Seems they may have been the first people Gentleman Ghost approached about getting help from. They turned him down and decided to come to Metropolis to give a warning about that."

Jon Kent has posed:
Jon's brow furrows a little before he takes a seat, wherever he could lean. "Who were they?" But at least, Jon's voice was a little apprehensive. If they were approached by GG first, then they are most likely baddies, and that made him a bit worried.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike pauses, tilting his head in thought. "The card he gave me said 'Catman and SO' on it. Based from the conversation I'm assuming the SO was the demonic element. She figured based from what the ghost was offering, if he did manage to get one to help him, it'd be a very low powered one."

Jon Kent has posed:
Jon's face turns a little upward, not sure where he had heard the name Catman before, or SO, but there they were. "So...do you even know why this guy is going after you? It just seemed random at the time, but he did it before too apparently."

At least, detective work isn't usually on his list of skills. But he can try to help.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Well, according to them, seems the Ghost wanted help 'chastizing' me because I can actually hit him?" Mike answers, the tone to his voice being more uncertain of the reason than definite. "It's weird because I never touched him the first time he went after me. That was the dreamer's doing. I'm not sure how he'd know I could touch him until I was punching and kicking him in the dressing room."

Mike gives a shrug, "As for the first time. I'm just speculating based off of other comments but that ghost apparently likes money so maybe the first one was to make money. I mean, that one was right before I was to start with the Ireland and Italy tour. So timing wise that would make some sense."

Jon Kent has posed:
"So it's a grudge at this point..." Jon's face grows more serious, but not much he can do against something that can hurt him.

"I said I would help however I can, and I mean it. But that demon can harm me. We probably should take that one the most seriously."

"Well, let me know if there's anything I can do to help." He stands up, putting his arms to his side as he steels his resolve.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike nods at the grudge assessment, "...Yeah the reason for the first time around is probably mute by now. But, kind of used to people with grudges." He pauses, glancing to a spot to the side of Jon. "...I'm considering accepting their offer to help." He admits, "Seems she might be able to handle demons if it pops back. Might be enough of a deterrent. But I'll bring it up with Vorp as well before making that decision."

He glances back to Jon. "What does concern me is if this does happen again that it gets contained to where fans don't pulled into it."

Jon Kent has posed:
"That can be easy enough. We just get you away from people. Before anything can get to you. Or you know. Drag Gentleman Ghost off to jail or whatever can hold him." Jon shrugs, before continuing. "But I am not really big on plans like that. Maybe try Batman or...oh. duh." He immediately thought of Superman. "I could bring it up with him...but...he may insist on helping."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The suggestion does cause for him to wonder. "Well... With you, Vorp, that other guy, Catman, the SO, and whatever group they're planning to bring into the mix. Possibly Hawkman because he seems to show up whenever this guy shows up around me... Wouldn't Superman be overkill?"

Jon Kent has posed:
"Probably. As much as him in the future is protective...the Superman of 2020 is much more." Jon shrugs before looking back to Mike. "Here. I finally got a phone. This number can reach me." He hands over a scrap paper with his 2021 cell phone number on it. "I had to get a new number."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Well, good to have protective family, right?" Mike reaches over to accept the scrap of paper. "Thanks. Uh one second..." He slides the scrap into his right pocket before reaching over into his left one, fishing out a Shaw Studios business card and flipping it over to glance to the back. Giving a nod, he offers it over to Jon. "Mine's the one written in pen."

Jon Kent has posed:
"Alright, I'll put you in there." Jon comments, looking at the card, before smiling. "Thanks again, for fixing my hoodie-pillow. It was probably the nicest thing someone did for me, in this time." But he is genuinely glad. "I should get back, but...now you don't have to yell for me."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"That'll make things less awkward for the neighbors." Mike agrees, giving a smile as he folds up the tote bag a bit more. "Thanks for swinging by. Glad you like how the pillow turned out."
