Cast of Characters: Raven Darkholme, Lorna Dane, Emma Frost

Raven Darkholme has posed:
The sun beats down over the remaning gatherings of survivors of the attack on Genosha, though the time feels like it's been so long and yet it feels like the actual attack was hours ago. There's an odd sort of stillness that's washed across the mourning island nation and with the Queen having come back now and then, that's where some are moving to try and gather some council with her.

One such suitor is Mystique, bold enough to stand in the open in Genosha even with all the outside and foreign help trying to clean up and help as they can. She is on the soil of the country she helped build, she will not cower and hide who she is. Not now.

The mutant stands blue skinned, yellow eyed, and crimson haired curling at the ends near her shoulder blades. "Lorna! I was hoping to get a chance to speak with you." She notes, stepping up to the royalty with her hands behind her back, her tight white dress flutters around her shins and behind her like a sort of cape, and her thigh high white boots keep her feet off the trampled dirt, the large hand gun strapped to her right thigh isn't hard to miss and yet she's still moving with that deadly grace with her eyes never still. The ancient woman is always on guard and she looks to a refugee and gives them a soft nod, "We're making this right."

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna had just exited the tent that she'd been meeting with Emma in for the past few hours. They'd taken a tour about the refugee camp, patrolled around the area and the alike. Emma had even gone into a mutant volunteer's mind to try to go over the attack. To see if anything had been missed.

Now she was preparing to leave again, to start the long walk back to the plane. Sure she could fly on her own, but Emma could not, nor was Lorna about to carry the woman.

The Queen of Genosha, such as it was, wore a bodysuit, gloves, and boots of various shades of green. The majority of which was so dark it was almost black. A headpiece that vaguely looked like her father's helmet shadowed her face, and a cloak that fastened in a similar fashion to her father's billowed about her. It was clear she was drawing on the memory of the late King, and it certainly seemed to draw the eye.

Lorna shifted about, catching sight of Mystique as the other mutant spoke and she inclined her head in greeting. "Walk with me." She gestured toward the beaten path that had once been a road and at least had been cleared toward the makeshift runway that had been used by various visitors to the ruined island nation.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost notes the mutant approaching them, saying nothing, though she instinctively does a light mental scan... only to find a very well shielded mind, though not telepathic. She doesn't push, though she could. But that intrigues her. She is in white boots, trousers, a blouse and jacket, as business attire didnt seem to fit the island. As they walk, however, Emma is also continues to observe the damage and the survivors. She doesnt introduce herself, as she isnt sure that this isnt official Genoshan business. She is a guest.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Mystique's eyes linger on Emma for a brief moment, the woman obviously doesn't belong on Genosha, but she's also as welcome as anyone else in this time, though it doesn't take a bright mind to realize the blonde isn't here on humanitarian efforts.

"Yes your excellence." Mystique says as she falls in toe beside Lorna, her hands still behind her back in long white gloves that she might have started wearing after her daughter's fashion sense might have had some influence on the shapeshifter. "I've had some luck in gathering materials needed for work and yet the information we seek has been more than hard to come by. No one is talking or whoever attacked attacked of their own will and means." Mystique reports once they're far enough away from citizen's ears. "I figured I should check in with you, maybe you've learned something I haven't or you have a different mind." Raven assumes, giving Lorna credit as a diplomat even if it's unfounded, fake it till she makes it.

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna's boots crunched on the gravel-y path littered with debris of unknown origin, and kept walking to put distance between her and the survivors in their tents and the metal structure she'd built to shelter those tents. She pursed her lips, gesturing with a hand to Emma. "This is Miss Frost. She visited with me today to see how many hands we'll be needing to start clean up efforts. My first goals are to see the dead are taken care of and to clear Hammer Bay. Carrion Cove will have to wait. My first goal is to clear this area as much as possible. Set up water, electricity beyond the basic solar panels we have. I want our people out of the Wakandan camp and back here. T'Challa vowed that we might use that area as long as we wish, but I'd rather not push that kindness further." She murmured, and exhaled a breath.

"Miss Frost, this is Mystique. She worked with my father." She offered smoothly, and continued moving. Whether Emma stated she was a telepath or not was up to her, Lorna wasn't going to be sharing secrets of who was out as a mutant yet or not.

"Regarding the investigations I'm waiting to hear back from Doom's scans regarding the glassy like areas. Or SHIELD's whoever finds anything that way.." She shook her head. "I've gotten reports that satellites were out during the attack, and that would make sense as well for our own technology here and why it failed. So whoever hit ups did so with an army of Sentinels, plus the 'Wild'" She used her fingers to make quotes, "Sentinels, the massive ones.. the media has used that name so we'll use it. Thus far no one has come forward to brag about it.. and other governments are mum beyond their 'condolences'. Pietro, hasn't found anything either."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma's phone buzzes in her pocket, letting her know she recieved a message. She frowns but ignores it for now. "A pleasure, Mystique," she greets the blue-skinned shapeshifter. "Out of curiousity, have you had anyone outside of SHIELD, the Wakandans, and the Latverians you mentioned show up? I'm not much of a detective, but maybe there's something to the whole 'return to the scene of the crime' you see in movies." The question is directed towards both of them, as Mystique has obviously been here since everything happened. She does not mention her powers for now... more out of habit than anything else. She's not accustomed to being 'out' as a mutant, and even here in the so-called mutant homeland she has a steak of wariness.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
"You have hunches or inklings, or anything, let me know, I'm out there working, learning and things are getting messy out there for us." Meaning she's had more than a few run ins with racists and a few racists are now no longer dealing with life's problems. She does move with a certain debonaire, like a reptile almost, something that could kill without compasion or compunction.

The blue skin killer keeps up with Lorna and looks back to Emma as she comes up with the idea. "I had the same notion, it's why I'm here now in fact, I'd like to examine some of the 'wilds' and some of the normal ones if possible, and I might need a team of techs in order to speed up the research. I hope you wont mind Lorna." Casual, a slip of the tongue maybe, or maybe she's still used to being the brains behind Erik's madness. "Miss Frost, you're more than welcome to join me in an excursion if you'd like." She says 'politely' but hoping the telepath will refuse, as Mystique gathers Frost as a 'behind the scenes' or 'desk based leader' not someone who gets dirty in the field often. Still, Emma must possess some useful skills and tricks, Mystique assumes. "It is unusual for no one to claim responsibility for something like this... It has me on edge."

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna exhaled a rough breath through her nose, and reached up to pinch the bridge between her eyes. "It's not like we can monitor anyone that comes for a visit. I don't have the security forces necessary to patrol the island, much less the ruins of Hammer Bay. If someone else has visited, no one has noticed or told me about. But people could very easily just fly over and land some place out of view." She let her hand fall away and glanced between the two.

"This is one of the reasons why I wasn't thrilled with the idea of moving people back here yet. But //some// mutants are antsy and want action of some kind." If it was a pointed jab at Mystique's demands to act, she at least didn't look toward the blue skinned woman.

"It's not as if people are any safer in the refugee camps in Wakanda than here. So it's a moot point. But no. No one has come forward, no one has bragged, no one has claimed any responsibility. There haven't been any follow up attacks. Not even an assassination attempt on me, Pietro, or Wanda. It's been quiet." Too quiet, went without saying. They all knew it.

Emma Frost has posed:
Mystique is definitely not wrong. Emma isn't the sort to get her hands... or anything, really... dirty. Point of fact, with all this dust and grime around, when she gets back to New York she's probably taking a very long shower. "Hm." She considers something for now, but doesn't speak up, though she lifts her head up to the skies and seems to scan about, lost in thought for a few moments. "No, Mystique. I'm afraid I wouldn't be of much use to any sort of excursion of the sort... not an engineer, myself. But I appreciate you being willing to bring me along."

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Talent knows how to find talent. Or so the going goes.

    Or well, it should.

Mystique gives Emma a soft nod before she puts her attention back on Lorna and her little outburst, "At least you weren't in front of the media or citizens." Mystique says, still trying to teach Lorna in her own way how to be the queen. Before Lorna can throw another tantrum, Mystique cuts her off by continuing, "I'm going to take a team to Hammer Bay, see what we can find and hopefully trace the hard drives of the sentinels back to where they came from and hopefully who programed them." Mystique says curtly.

With a breath through her nose, she stands her back straight, or some how even taller and gives Lorna a slight bow. "You're doing well, but there is room to improve, your highness." She says before turning to leave. "I hope to work with you soon miss Frost."

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna paused, turning about to fully face Mystique as her steps ground to a halt. She arched a brow, and reached up to remove the metal headpiece that left her expression in shadows. "I would recommend that you take a team to investigate any of Trask's facilities that you can as well. I want someone to see if he sold or if he made these directly. It would help us to figure out where to go from here. If Trask didn't make these, then we need to figure out who did." She murmured, her voice soft and quiet as she looked at her father's one time ally.

"And it's your majesty." She added, her voice cool as she put back the headpiece into place. "And it was a good thing that the media wasn't here to hear you use my old address." She glanced once at Emma.

"Was there anything else you wanted to see?"

Emma Frost has posed:
"No, I think I've seen enough to have an idea of what sort of manpower to send you," Emma replies coolly. The mention of Trask makes the blonde's nose curl in disdain. "If you need a meeting with one of his idiot underlings, I can probably... make that happen. Directly or indirectly." She glances at Mystique. "Assuming there's someone to send that's not going to draw attention."

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Mystique has already turned and begun walking away from the situation before Lorna dismissed her, so the hardness in the woman's voice or the command to use the correct moniker draws a devious smirk from Mystique, but she does stop and resets her face before turning back to Lorna, "Of course, your majesty."

Turning back to face Emma, "I think a meeting with him would be best, but an underling is a good place to start. I will leave information for you to get a hold of me when you're back in America. I'll be in touch after I can get out to Hammer Bay and back." Raven notes and then continues to walk away from the two of the most powerful women on the planet. And she grins.
