Dollhouse: Bobbi and Daisy talk
Date of Scene: 18 July 2021
Location: 01 Bobbi's Suite - Playground
Synopsis: Bobbi and Daisy have a heart to heart now that they're out of the framework. Bobbi discovers that her Inhuman ability is different now than when she went in, thanks to terrigenesis. She also realises that if she wants to avoid that fate, she's going to have to make some bold changes in her life.
Cast of Characters: Bobbi Morse, Daisy Johnson

Bobbi Morse has posed:
Lance finally had things he needed to get done and Bobbi was feeling okay enough to let him leave. He'll be back, sooner rather than later, but she sits at the office desk staring at the table that's turned off. Her bottom half is in SHIELD pants, her upper body in a white sweat shirt.

Folded up in a neat pile on the desk is her mockingbird wings and suit, and the belt with the M on it. Faint red lines and dots cover face and arms and other parts of her body. She's not yet sure how to process everything that happened.

This last day, two lives came crashing together in her head. Two similar but ultimately very different lives. She's been trying to pick them apart. To understand what was and wasn't real.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
The fight had been an hard one but it had ultimately been won. At what price though? But wiser people than Daisy did say that what don't kill us just makes us stronger. She had gone through her own kind of hardship in the past, and came out stronger. And considering these people were some of the strongest she knew she was certain they'd be fine. It doesn't mean she shouldn't support them though.

It's what made them a family.

Daisy makes her way over to Bobbi's quarters after having caught up with Lance when the man was on his way out. A knock is heard on the door. "Hey, it's Daisy." is the voice heard from the other side.

Bobbi Morse has posed:
Bobbi looks up at the knock. Lance back already? No.. Daisy's voice. Her lips twitch down a moment and then she replies, "Come in." She turns around and tucks her feet up underneath on the swivel chair. Peering at Daisy, her hair is down but her fringe is on point. She looks like she's been at war for a year and only just gotten home. And that someone tattoo'd henna all over her body.

She killed Daisy's mum. How do you bring that up in conversation. She needs to talk to Jia about it, truly, but first and foremost, her colleague and friend. "Daisy..." she lifts up a hand, "There's no excuse for what I did in that place."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
A far cry from the anorectic pop star is Daisy, dressed in a black and blue shield uniform, black boots, hair held up in a ponytail and a sharp gaze. Her smile though? That one is kind. "Hello, Bobbi." she closes the door behind her. A brow arches up at Bobbi's choice of conversation to start it with but then nods faintly.

"It was all a nightmare." she says, making her way closer to the bed where the suit is and reaching down to pick up the belt, "None of it was real."

Wasn't it real though? What the simulation did was simply put different scenarios in front of people and let them choose. So did she not really blame them for it? Her jaw tightens, perhaps remembering watching the footage on how the Inhuman settlement was destroyed and her mother killed.

To perhaps not having to talk more about it for now she focuses on the suit, "Taking the suit for a spin soon?" she asks, rubbing her thumb over the M.

Bobbi Morse has posed:
It's evident now that Daisy is looking at it, touching it, that the suit has holes in it, cuts, rips, piercings. "It needs repairs." She was wearing it when the pod took her, when those metallic arms came out of the darkness and grabbed her. She fought hard against them - but lost.

Her eyes narrow a touch.. the 'it was all a dream' answer has been given to all the survivors in one form or another. For Bobbi, it all seemed very real. And Daisy's subtle reaction is a reminder that even if it wasn't real, even if they imagined it to be a computer game.. she still killed Jiaying in it.

"I'm going to take some vacation time. I don't even know what I'm doing anymore. No one needs an ex-HYDRA agent running the most sensitive part of shield operations. How could Phil ever trust me again? Let alone Peggy..."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"I hope the goggles survived..." The ones Daisy had made. She places the belt back in place then takes the aforementioned goggles up, turning them around her fingers, "Nothing that can't be fixed." she smiling faintly, "Will just take me a while to get them fixed." maybe her subtle way of saying she doesn't want Bobbi gone.

Vacation time though? That does seem good. She is just about to nod her agreement when she hears that last part. So she takes one out of Jemma's playbook. "Don't be daft." those words coming out instantly. At least she spares Bobbi from the british accent. "You are not ex-Hydra. If anything you have seen more than most of us how important it is the work we do here. How they must be stopped. So futures like the ones you witnessed and lived in don't get to happen."

"Besides, family sticks together, through the good and the worst. And you are part of it." she puts the goggles down, moving to stand near the other woman. "But the important question here is, what do -you- want to do?"

Bobbi Morse has posed:
Bobbi presses her lips together a bit as Daisy plays with the goggles and goes in to a speech about family. Of all people, from Daisy, a conversation about family. She probably needs to go visit her parents if she gets to have that vacation. With the meeting coming up soon she'll ask Peggy.

Daisy approaches and she looks a little surprised. The Daisy she liked, the one that Phil plucked from a stinky van and stuck in a SHIELD uniform that didn't fit right. Until suddenly it did. And her crazy father who had a penchant for murder whenever he lost his temper.

She slips out of the seat smoothly and wraps her arms about Daisy in a hug. It's a risky move. She shuts her eyes expecting the nausea and the kick in the head.. but it doesn't come. Instead, all those bits of Daisy that feel Inhuman, that are her quaking powers.. they feel warm.

Bobbi lets go almost instantly as streams of alien symbols flow through her mind. She looks around the room as if someone were playing a practical joke on her. Eyes back on Daisy, she asks, "What the hell was that?"

Daisy Johnson has posed:
It's perhaps a good thing that Bobbi closed her eyes. She doesn't get to see the brief hesitation, the one of a young woman who is still processing all that happened even if she knows in her core she loves Bobbi, in the same way she loves the rest of her SHIELD family. Even so, it is hard for someone who has looked up to these agents as their role model to see them falter, to see they can fail too. Maybe that's part of the process though, of how now it's her time to be here to keep them up when they have done the same to her in the past. Trusting her when no one else would.

So when the hug is finally taken to an embrace there is no more hesitation there from Daisy, the woman's arms wrapping around Bobbi fiercely, as if telling her she will be here for her no matter what, letting the song of the universe envelop them, warm vibrations, hoping that in some way they can help Bobbi relax.

It only lasts a moment. That point of equilibrium, just before Bobbi breaks the hug and it makes Daisy blink, "What happened? What's wrong?" she keeps one hand atop Bobbi's shoulder, some concern on her eyes.

Bobbi Morse has posed:
Just that small touch to Bobbi's shoulder, makes all those bits of Daisy that link her to the song inside her, the 'echo force' as Fu calls it, the 'song of the universe' as Jia called it, dance and warm and sing as if they were alive.

Bobbi sees the strange stream of writing in her head again and she ducks her shoulder away and takes a step back. "Wait hangon.." She holds out a hand almost defensively and stares a moment at Daisy.

She reaches over to her tablet and turns it on. Pages upon pages upon pages of scribbled gibberish appear in notes, some of which are titled 'Daisy' and then dates. She's been keeping records of the things she saw since her Inhuman abilities kicked in - that's no secret.

But when Bobbi looks at them now.. even though it's still gibberish on the tablet screen, she can see a distinct and clearly alien writing system. "H.. huh?"

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Both hands return to her hips as Bobbi dodges away, quirking a brow up at her. She's acting somewhat odd... But she also knew she had some trouble with touching others ever since the awakening of her powers. Daisy casts a look down at the tablet, just a side-eye glance at Bobbi at one of the pages being named after her, then back in.

"What's the matter? This is what you were seeing before, wasn't it?" A moment as she ponders on it, "Are you seeing something different?" she asks, her interest now peaked and she leaning closer.

Still gibberish to Daisy though!

Bobbi Morse has posed:
Bobbi looks between the tablet and Daisy a few more times as she tries to fathom this one out. "Yeah...," she says and picks up the stylus and flicks to a new page. She shuts her eyes and recalls what she just saw. In a long stream of odd characters two lines dance between each other looking like DNA.

When she opens her eyes she peers and then hits 'translate'. It takes a moment before the SHIELD network responds with 'No Translation Available. Language: Kree'. Bobbi bites her bottom lip and says, "I'm seeing this. I'm seeing Kree. In my head. When we touched I was seeing streams of Kree."

She turns this way and that and then flops down on the bed with her arms and legs akimbo. "Great. So all this time I had my antenna turned wrong and one trip in to a dystopian hell simulation and suddenly I see Kree."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"That makes sense with what my mother said.." About the aliens, and the Kree. Daisy's brows remain furrowed and she shakes her head, "We should go ask them about it. Both Jiaying and Blackagar." no, she won't call him King until she becomes some kind of Moon Princess!

"Or Carol could help translate it too." Typical Daisy, already trying to go for the solutions instead of focusing on what's wrong here. But it's not as if she's oblivious to things...

"Well, you know what change happened in there..." She then says to the akimbo Bobbi, ".. you finally went through the process." of becoming an Inhuman, "I told you that you were one of us, not an artificial one."

Bobbi Morse has posed:
Bobbi rolls over and makes space on the bed. She pats the sheets for Daisy to join her. "Yeah, well, figures I'd do everything ass backwards," she comments on how she got her ability first -then- went through terrigenesis. "I need to talk to you mother. Apologise. She might think it's stupid.. me killing her in some computer game. But it..." she frowns and presses her lips together again.

"But I'll talk to Blackagar too. If there's answers to be had he'll know how to get them. If he'll help that is.. honestly, I don't know how this works. I did some really bad things in there. I wasn't the only one. Thank you for coming in to help me. Lance put his life on the line for me - never stopped believing in me. I... yeah."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"As long as it gets done.." Daisy, not afraid of breaking protocol, or whatever else, to get things done, "The important is you went through it, and that you will be fine.." the hackerette slides onto the bed, legs pulled up against her. A nod when she speaks of talking with Bolt and Jia. "I should do the same too." she admits.

"And don't mention it. While I think a small vacation can be good for you now I am sure you will be back in no time." a beat, "But maybe you will have some time to put some affairs in order, mmm?" what affairs would those be, mmm?!?!

She then lets out a faint chuckle about Lance putting his life on the line for her. She leans in in a sort of conspirational manner, "I am not sure you have noticed..." she says in a whisper. "But that guy does seem to have the hots for you..." a wink following at the joke.

Bobbi Morse has posed:
Bobbi looks up at Daisy and then hmms, tapping her fingers against her own tummy. "I don't know what you're talking about.. but okay." She raises an eyebrow. She smirks a touch at the joke about Lance and says, "When I first met him, he was working for STRIKE. They were a British unit back then, not part of SHIELD."

"Hartley, Mack, and Me.. we were a team back then. I was the junior blonde leggy agent who liked to kick and punch things. Those two were more than happy for me to run point on missions. Gonzales was our boss and whatever Hartley said, he'd approve it."

"We knew HYDRA had infiltrated STRIKE, we just didn't know how bad or why.. so we went on this mission to get intelligence - which meant manipulating a STRIKE agent. Hartley picked him as the mark. Lance Hunter, a regular 007 if ever there was one."

She smirks, happy to talk about something unrelated to the framework for once. "I had that man dancing around my little finger from the moment he laid eyes on me. I had to vet him, make sure he wasn't HYDRA. He passed the test, but I wasn't about to reveal I was SHIELD. No.. that came later when I realised he also thought HYDRA was in STRIKE."

She smiles, "I'm sure he'd tell the story differently. But I admit he was a fun mission objective. He was so dashing in his suit too..." She laughs for the first time since she got out. A long time for her, a few weeks for Daisy. "Couldn't fight for shit. Well, he held his own - I'll give him that. But it's not like he was taught by SHIELD like I was. I'd been doing martial arts most of my life at that point anyway."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Oh, I know how he'd tell the story." Daisy assures Bobbi with a nod. She knows how he likes to spin a story. It's not as if Bobbi isn't spinning it her own way too. Yet Daisy seems glad about Bobbi being focused on something other than the ordeal she just went through. But then she smirks. "I will just settle with the truth being somewhere in the middle."

Though she *does* seem to filter a few things for comment. She gets a thoughtful expression on her face, a fingertip to her lips. "So ..., if he is a 007 does that mean you are.." beat, ".. a Bond girl?"

Yes, Daisy dodges out of the way.

Bobbi Morse has posed:
Bobbi snrks and throws a pillow at the dodging Daisy. "Can you actually feel those vibrations coming?" She says with amusement on her face. "That's a heck of a super power. Along with breaking things apart and flying. Why aren't you an avenger anyway? Oh that's right - super spy in training."

Bobbi sits up and strokes her fingers over the Mockingbird suit. "I was wrong. About superheroes. In the framework - we killed them all. Even Superman. One by one we picked them apart, used their weaknesses against them. They were powerless to stop us because the people were on our side."

She pats the suit and says, "These symbols give people hope. The more we cracked down on them, the more the underground movements in support of them swelled. We tried to crush out SHIELD and yet it was still going despite our best efforts. There's a lesson there."

She picks up the goggles and puts them on. The electronics are fried after Carol Danvers zapped the entire Sphere trying to avoid being captured. "It might be time Mockingbird stood for something than a joke between spy friends."
