Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
It is Game Night at Happy Harbor High School! And people are excited. For game night means that people will be here to play and to relax. Not talk about Geometry or the fact that Doctor MacIntyre got her ass handed to her by skeletons that were called upon by Arawn. Delia and Declan are in attendance and they are already digging through the EXTENSIVE offering of board games that have been rolled in from the libray. There is also a large spread of foods that have been ordered in, chinese, italian and other fares are on the table as well as drinks.

Tyler is also making his first appearance since being rescued. He's been keeping things light and the introduction has been slow for his sanity and the protection of other students.

Morrigan's here in attendance and helping to direct first year students. She's also just trying to not spend too much time in bright light since her week had been rough already.

Madison Evans has posed:
Madison Evans is here - wearing a T-Shirt that mimics the Major League Baseball emblem - only the bat is a lightsaber and the ball is a training remote, and it says 'JEDI' underneath. She's left Imperial Assault behind, however - it's a bit of a 'heavy' game and she's not sure what the gaming crowd is like at the school. Instead, she holds her copy of the Doom that Came to Atlantic City over her head as she calls, "Who wants to destroy a town and doom reality?!" she asks. "Dibs on Cthulhu!" Because - of course. Who wouldn't want dibs on Cthulhu?

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
J'onn was present, much as he always was, to keep an eye on things and offer assistance where needed. Some of the games he recognizes, they've been around for years, but some are newer and when they are taken out to be played, he pays attention to learn them.

Slowly making his way around, he offers Tyler a nod and smile, continuing until he is by Morrigan, offering a large shadow for her to stand in.

"A very nice turn out," he comments quietly, and them Madison is calling dibs on Cthulu and something about that just doesn't sound right. Can you place dibs on a primordial god?

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a smile when she hears Madison talk about destroying towns with a game. And naturally Delia and Declan decided that they'd LOVE to play this game. Other students join in as well, but Tyler plants himself in a corner that's not far from where Morrigan and J'onn are. He does give the Martian a dip of his head in greeting.

Morrigan gives J'onn a smile, "It is. And hopefully no ninja attacks." she chuckles softly. "How have things been going for you so far, J'onn?" she asks him as she watches the gathered teens.

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
This was the sort of school even that J'onn really enjoyed. Everyone just being happy, enjoying themselves, it was difficult to be depressed or upset when there were so many children having fun. He watches as they begin to get settled and start playing the various games, then looks to Morrigan.

"I will admit to feeling partly responsible for Dr. Pym leaving," he comments quietly. "I know that I am not, there were man other factors. I am looking forward to this school year, to help distract my thoughts."

Madison Evans has posed:
Madison starts setting up the game while explaining the rules - and like with all rules explinations, it makes very little sense and they really should just learn through playing. "Okay, so everyone controls and Elder God, yeah? You roll the dice, move around the board - if you land on another Elder God, you have to fight them! You roll two dice each, and whoever rolls higher wins - ties to the attacker. You steal a cultist and draw a Chants card!" Yes, Chants, not Chance. "If you land NEAR someone you can CHOOSE to fight them. If you lose the battle, your turn is over. If you win - you can roll the dice! Seven or higher destroys a home and you get to keep it. If you destroy the last home you can open a Gate. If you open six Gates, you can perform your Doom Action to bring Doom to Atlantic City! And everyone has a unique Doom condition that if you fulfill it, you can land on your own gate and perform your Doom Action and bring Doom to Atlantic City. And, umm... sometimes you move backwards around the board. And, umm, oh if you rolls doubles stuff happens. Which is usually good. But if you roll doubles three times you get Banished! - it's like going to jail - which is //bad//. And... uhh..."
She looks around at the glazed eyes around the table.
"Well. I'll just go first and show everyone, I guess."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a look to J'onn when he states that he feels partly responsible for Hank leaving, "How so?" she asks him. "And...I don't think that you should feel that way. Doctor Pym might have needed a break is all. I'm sure he'll return when he is ready." she admits to that. "I am not aware of the other factors, but...I hope that they can be worked out." she adds.

Then she's giving a look over to where Madison is teaching the kids how to play their game and she grins, "Looks like this will be fun for everyone. I am glad that we are getting back to normal." she tells him in a quiet tone.

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
A slight frown touches J'onn's features for a moment, then he switches back to a simple smile.

"Dr. Pym likely needed a break, you are correct Morrigan," he replies, easily shifting the conversation to that without revealing any of the other factors that are not his business to reveal. "He is a complex man, a break will likely do him good."

He shifts back to look at the game Madison is spreading out and explaining, even though he accidently already knows all about it because her excitement was strong enough she was projecting everywhere. "So, the object is to destroy a city?"

Madison Evans has posed:
"Destroy a city, devour cultists, and bring DOOM! to Atlantic City, AND THE WORLD!" Madison exclaims dramatically.
"Oh. And you can discard your cards for extra movement," she adds abruptly - as she rolls the dice and starts moving her figure around the board. Not something she needs to do the first round, though, with no one else on the board, and no gates she needs to land on. "Okay. No one near enough to fight - so I roll for destruction! Awww. ...no destruction," she mutters in disappointment, passing the dice.
"You know what would be cool? If there was a way to animate these game pieces like on that dejarik board on the Milennium Falcon," she says brightly.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a nod to J'onn, while Morrigan and Hank were friends, they had grown apart given behaviors. Maybe when he came back there would be something that fixed that. "I'm sorry that he left though. Hopefully the time away will do him some good." she states quietly.

Then there's a chuckle at the dramatics that Madison applies, "Maybe we should find a theater teacher while we're at it." she grins to that.

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
J'onn lifts a single brow over Madison's theatrics, Morrigan might be right about finding a theater teacher. He could likely do in a pinch, but a true specialist in drama would be much better for the students.

"There are numerous types of holographic projectors in the world Madison," J'onn offers. "Perhaps you and I could look into finding a way to create this game you enjoy into such a thing."

Madison Evans has posed:
"Yeah?" Madison asks, looking up at J'onn - as the next player takes their turn. "Maybe that could be my next science project! A holographic projector program for board games. You think we could program them to do battle with one another when they land on the same space? That would be //awesome//." In a musing tone she adds, "I guess they'd have to battle at a stalemate until you input the information for it to know who won..."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan steps back to let J'onn and others speak about the games. Tyler takes the opportunity to rise and step over to the woman to speak quietly with her. There is a nod given to him as she points towards the admin hallway, "I'll be there in a few. Just want to make sure everything here is alright." she tells him. Then she gives a look back to the table where Madison and others are playing and smiles.

Delia looks a little too excited to be playing large monsters that destroy cities. Maybe it was a ginger gene.

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
J'onn moves a little closer to the table, looking the board over. He's no major scientist, but he has a few tricks up his sleeves and knows a lot of people who can get things done.

"There are numerous possibilities," he offers, then focuses on one of the Elder God miniatures. "Interesting. I would have thought there would be more tentacles."

Madison Evans has posed:
"Well. We have these little wooden tentacles to track our doubles, and our gates," Madison remarks in a bright tone - holding up her wooden tentacle marker - it's green, of course. "We'll figure it out, though," she says brightly. "How expensive is holographic projection stuff? I mean, it sounds expensi- AWW MAN, you stole my cultist!" Madison lets out an exagerated sigh as she loses a battle against another Elder God, and is forced to hand over a cultist meeple.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a look over the group before she turns to head towards her office, Tyler wanting to talk was something that was rare and she needed to listen. She gives a wave to J'onn, "We'll be back. Just need to take care of something." the woman states. Then she's disappearing down the hall.

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
A part of J'onn considers 'going with' Morrigan, but he keeps his mind away from her office and whatever conversation is about to take place. His attention remains on the game in front of him.

"It can be rather expensive," he replies. "But the idea is to build our own, so it should not be too horrible, but the cost is something I will tend to as I am extremely interested in seeing how this project would turn out."

Madison Evans has posed:
"Yeah?" Madison asks curiously - perking up considerably. It's her turn to move again - and she rolls the dice, landing on the space with another of the Elder Gods.
"EPIC KAIJU BATTLE!" she exclaims, shaking the dice while trying to stare down the other student with an exagerated and entirely feigned attempt at intimidation. After she tosses the dice she lets out dramatic explosion sounds, and uses her mini to knock down the other. "FATALITY! That'll be one cultist, please.
    "Man, I love this game."
