Settling Up
Date of Scene: 08 August 2021
Location: Muse Hotel and Spa - Hotel Room
Synopsis: Wade Shaw settles the account with Catman
Cast of Characters: Michael Hannigan, Thomas Blake

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Through the tour there has been one consistent wit the hotel arrangements being from the same collective group of sister hotels. The Muse. The Opus. The Melody. When one puts them side by side there's a slight theme to the names but they are spread out far enough geographically that its hard to figure out. Unless your industry of choice is in the know that is. And perhaps that is why The Muse is the setting for this little meet up as the second leg of the tour comes to a close. It is much quieter this time around. Only one room was taken up and there are much less persons involved.

Wade Shaw opens the door to the hotel room. Glancing around the dimly lit room before reaching in to the nearby bathroom to turn on the light. It doesn't light up the entire place but it is sufficient for Shaw not to accidentally channel Dick Van Dyke with his walk into the room. The door shuts. Bolt put in place.

Wade gives a sigh, before setting his bag down upon the bed and stepping away from it.

Thomas Blake has posed:
the curtains are partly open. That's a tell right there. there is a tap tap and then the window opens and a man in a cat face peers in. He sees the bag on the bed and frowns.

"Okay, take the bag off the bed, and place it in the bathroom. Have you never heard of bed bugs? Even a five star hotel can have them. he slips in through the window. Did he jimmy it from outside or come in through here and just decide to wait out there?

"Don't worry, the hard part is over with. You won't have to see me unless you need me. I will pursue this entity through certain channels and be sure it is done with you. I think it is. You hand these guys their ass and they tend to back off."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Hearing the tap tap, the studio owner glances up, seeing the masked man. He stands there, waiting for Catman to make his way in. The request does end up causing for a bit of a brow raise before Wade moves over to the bed, picking up the bag.

There's a shake of the head but the instruction is followed. Setting it upon the grey tile flooring of the bathroom.

He steps out looking to the cat face. "It's not the first time they attacked." Wade states, voice betraying a bit of concern, "Why would this time around change things?"

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake hits the lights and immediately sweeps the covers from the bed peering at the sheets. He sniffs, and seems satisfied. "We're good. The bed is clean."

He leaps onto it patting the other side."Demons are not patient by nature. They also don't do something without a return. This guy, he brought in demon bikers, he must have promised them something and the plan fell through. Now he owes them. Plus he has lost some credit. There's plenty of low hanging fruit for him. He won't be back. I mean why do exorcisms work by and large. They get to the point where this isn't paying out in credit. he showed off, resisted the ritual enough, time to get into more stuff."

"Also I bit his fucking ear off. He learned we don't play by his rules. He's a predator and we did not behave as prey. However, I will keep my contact listening for any further plans against Mr. Drago. If we hear anything, I will let you know, no charge. You want my people and me again we will be thrilled to work for you. But I'm not taking your money week in, week out if I don't judge a threat to exist. That'd be dishonest."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"I'd certainly hope so," Wade comments in terms to Thomas's assessment of the bed. "It's a preferred chain for a reason." Certainly he could go on about the merits of the hotels used but there are more pressing matters.

The mention of the process in which they made the demons target less appealing is processed and rewarded with a bit of a brow raise at the mention of the ear biting. "You bit his ear off?"

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake says, deadpan, "You do what you have to do to survive and win Mr. Shaw. You can't fight a demon and expect to come out of it following rules of civilized conduct. You bet I brushed my teeth with baking soda before I headed home." He licks his lips.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Still." Wade's quiet for a few moments before he gives a slight smile. "I'd buy you a drink at the bar but that'd probably defeat the purpose of meeting here." He admits, "...If you haven't already, help yourself to the mini bar. I'm already paying for the room."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake chuckles a bit. "Thanks I will take a raincheck on that drink. I am working. Try not to worry Mr. Shaw. People this sort of thing happens too often convince themselves it was a bad dream. Don't fight it and remember a she demon and and a reformed theme criminal have your back." He springs up from the bed and retrieves the bag from the bathroom, then walks to the window. "Any future problems or concerns give us a call. Or call Vorpal. He knows how to get me." That's putting it one way.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Yeah if there's anything he's gotten good at it's denial." Wade mutters, giving a nod. "Alright. I'll keep that in mind." He sets out the key cards on the counter. "Well, room's paid paid for, keycards are right there, and the bottles in the mini bar travel well so...do with that information what you will." Wade states, moving towards the door. "And thank you."

Leaving it at that, the studio owner unbolts the door and steps out.
