Cast of Characters: Oliver Queen, Thea Queen

Oliver Queen has posed:
Oliver has been effectively missing and off the radar for nearly three days - *completely* off the radar, radio silence throughout.

When the front door to the one place he'd coming running if in trouble opens and he steps through it, he's barefooted and dressed in a pair of sweats that obviously not his and a t-shirt that's a little too small.

"Mom?!" he calls out loud enough to be heard, but there's hesitance and uncertainty in his voice. "Anyone home?!"

Then he just stands there, waiting for an answer, as if he doesn't have every right to this place.

Thea Queen has posed:
It's been a few hectic last days for Thea. Specially with her brother going AWOL. No word from the usual channels, not even Diggle knowing where he disappeared to. A mystery all in it's own. Sure, if this was from BEFORE Ollie disappeared into that blasted island she'd give it to him being somewhere with a paramour without wanting to be disturbed. But now? She knew he was more responsible than that.

Starling City had to be protected.

Suffice to say that down at the Arrowcave it's been a flurry of activity, Felicity their hacker burning the midnight oil, Thea doing the same but out there on the streets, looking for hints of where he might had gone to. And of course, having scoured pretty much everything in his room to search for clues. Because screw privacy where brothers and sisters are concerned.

And now that they were coming to the third day without any news she was starting to fear the worst. Which meant all those 'demons' coming back, and a look to the whiskey cabinet. But no, not yet. She knew he'd be back....

The ring on the door makes Thea jump up to her feet, padding over to the entrance and blinking. And it's perhaps a good thing that Moira Queen, their mother, isn't here to see Ollie dressed ..., like that. She might faint. But since it's only Thea she simply runs to him.

"Where have you been?!" she asks, for the moment ignoring those clothes. Perhaps he was captured by one of their enemies. But as it stands she simply tries to wrap her arms around him.

Oliver Queen has posed:
Oliver's arms go up, returning the hug with a fierceness after a moment of hesitancy on his part. "Speedy," he whispers like he's afraid she might vanish if he speaks the nickname too loudly. Is he trembling a little bit? Maybe. Something isn't right, that's certain, that's *felt*.

It isn't until he pulls back to get a look at his sister, that Oliver's expression shifts to confusion. Did he really lose track of the time there so drastically? Five years, that was his best guess and it seemed accurate based on thins seen on his way here.

    But she looks so *grown-up*.

"I..." he begins, stalls mid thought. "You..." Another stutter in the thought process. "How..." Spit it out Oliver, damn!

Thea Queen has posed:
Speedy. Her nickname when she was a kid. And also her 'vigilante' name in some circles. It's comforting, even if most likely for different reasons to Ollie at this moment. She is grinning, her eyes a bit wide and ..., indeed she has grown. Now a woman, the hair isn't as long as before, keeping it in a shorter bob that goes to her shoulders. There are lines there of hardship though, certainly not something that was present when Oliver disappeared originally in Lian Yu.

"Everyone was worried. Diggle. Felicity." A beat, "And yes, even Roy. You know how he can be ..." dramatically rebellious?

Still a sister knows a brother most likely better than anyone. And she spots that confusion on the man's expression. Something *is* off. "Come on and sit down. I will get you some water. They have all gone home now, we can have it down at the cave if you prefer somewhere quieter to speak.."

The cave?

Oliver Queen has posed:
"It's only been five years," Oliver finally manages to spit out. "How did you change so much in five years?" he asks a little less tentative than before. It's all a mess of confusion and impossible, but if there's one thing he has in spades, it's strength of mind and will.

He's still confused, still afraid even, but he's clawing his way to the surface to do what he needs to do... figure it out.

"Cave? Is that a new club?" But that wouldn't be quieter, would it?

"Water, yeah, sure." A beat and he repeats, "It's only been five years," as if waiting for her to confirm the fact.

Thea Queen has posed:
For anyone that hadn't *lived* those five years in the skin perhaps there'd be confusion there. But Thea? Oh, she knows well the suffering both of them lived through all those years back, one missing her brother and father. The other fighting for their life. And becoming a hero. So when she turns to Oliver her eyes are wide, all those fears of the past coming back.

"What is the last thing you remember?" She eyes the whiskey cabinet again, but then goes to fetch a glass of water for her brother before returning. That bottle is certainly calling to her now though ...

"And the cave is .., your place." a beat, ".. Our place." a bit reluctant there. She never considered herself a full member of Team Arrow. In and out. Even if in the last few months she had been more in.

And finally she addresses that confirmation he is looking for, which turns out to be nothing on what he most likely expected. "You spent five years in that island, yes. But you have been back for years now. You returned to your family." those last words spoken in a fierce manner. As if there's nothing that can change that fact.

Oliver Queen has posed:
It's quickly becoming painfully clear that something is Very Wrong with Oliver, but the final nail in the 'shit's bad' coffin is likely when his brain backtracks to the rest of Thea's words and he asks, "Who's Diggle? Felicity? Roy?"

Oh no, that is Not Good.

"Where's mom? She's going to want to know I'm home." He reaches up to scrub at his face with one hand, "When did I shave?" He should have a whole lot more than a three day growth there in his mind.

"No... that's not right, Thea, I *just* left this morning."

But when he tries to pull on how he left? Nothing. "...walking here, being there and then walking here. That's what I remember."

Thea Queen has posed:
It's perhaps a good thing that Mother isn't home right now. Maybe Thea will just have to tell Mother to enjoy a few more days of vacation. This would most likely not go well if they met. And she doesn't want her mother to go through this all over again. "She is spending a few days away, on vacation. With you running Queen Consolidated she can indulge a day or two of vacation per year..." a small attempt at bringing some levity to this.

Still, not knowing who all those people are? That's alarming, and it sobers her up right after, "They are...." she pauses. Memory loss? Perhaps some telepath working her brother's brain? The Justice League faced some dangerous foes so this could be it. "They are our friends, and part of our team." she gets up to her feet and gestures.

"Come with me." She starts walking further into the mansion, hoping that Oliver will follow, "Noone walks from Lian Yu, Oliver." yes, she knows the name of the island apparently. And yes, clearly something is jambling with her brother's memories. That much she was assuming from what she was witnessing.

She leads them to a part of the house, over at a study where she slides a small statue to the side, a keypad underneath. She inserts a code and a secure door opens up, "Let me show you who you are." she is perhaps hoping this will jolt his memory when she shows him the arrowcave. And the Green Arrow.

Oliver Queen has posed:
Every new revelation is like a little shock. "I run Queen Consolidated?" he wonders out loud. "Thea wait..." He's fallen in step with his sister but stops suddenly. He feels for pockets that aren't there in the pants he's wearing. "I lost it. The book... I need the book, I have to fix it."

Then there's sliding statues and codes and secret doors and Oliver's eyes widen. "What the *hell* is going on?" Nothing, none of it makes a lick of sense, so all he can do is follow along for the ride and trust his sister - all grown up as she seems to be - to get him through it.

"I guess you already know that dad's gone then?" he asks quietly, gently as he steps into the place that should make him feel safe, should make him feel a part of something bigger than him. In the end though, it just makes him more afraid.

    He remembers *none* of it.

    "What is this place?"

Thea Queen has posed:
"Who else would...? Me? The supposed black sheep of the Queen?" Some bitterness on her tone. And there's clearly some story there but Thea doesn't explain further, instead continuing on a long staircase, then through another secure door with another different code, along with a retinal scan. This is clearly some high tech stuff going on down here.

As that last door opens and gives way to a darkened room Thea casts a look over her shoulder, dark gaze on Ollie's eyes then down to his pants, "What book?" brows furrowed, "Are you ...., Dad's book?" with the names for vengeance?

It's all a flood of memories, the younger sister stiffening when Oliver asks if she knows her father is gone. "I do. We have made our peace with it." there's something there too but again she doesn't explain further. Still, her eyes do seem to gain a darker aspect at the memory of it.

"This is who you are." She goes to a wall, lifting a few levers that in turn start illuminating the room. And by room we mean an expansive, large underground cave, state of the art servers on one side, the middle framed with chairs, computers and a full array of monitors which seem to be going through some kind of algorithmical search. The name Oliver Queen is present.

On another side? The suits. Green Arrow's, Thea's red one. All in line and ready to be used. Along with weapons, tech gadgets, cars and motobikes. The works.

"Green Arrow." Her eyes fall on Oliver again, perhaps hopeful the name will spark something.

Oliver Queen has posed:
Nothing, it triggers nothing. Just more confusion and some seriously wide blue eyes at the sheer *everything* of it all. "Yeah, dad's book," Oliver murmurs for lack of anything more coherent to say. He doesn't seem surprised Thea knows about it. He's now settling in with the idea that things are missing in his head, things she knows and remembers; settling with the idea that he did't *just* come home.

The array of monitors flashes: Oliver Queen - detected. A video, grainy and at an odd angle, dated three days ago, street cam. It's Oliver though, on a side street, no foot traffic; street clothes. Is that the corner where his favorite donut place sits? He reaches up to grab his neck like something's stung him. By the time the van pulls up, he's already dropping to his knees.

The van has no plates, it's blue, nondescript, the footage shifts and twists, jumping from camera to camera to follow the vehicles path to a quiet dock where a boat waits; small and fast. It speeds off into realms unseen by any security camera. That was the last trace of him - for now, but it's still running, looking for more.

Oliver stands there, eyes fixed on the monitors. "I don't remember any of that, Thea."

Thea Queen has posed:
The flashing on the monitor is new. A beep calling Thea's attention there. Eyes go wide as she spots what's happening there. The capture. She knows Felicity is most likely waking up now with the alert that Oliver was found, and most likely will be here in a few. And then their search for what happened will start in full.

"We will find out what happened." A glance over her shoulder to Oliver, the same kind of grim determination that is often present on Oliver himself flashing on the woman's gaze. "But for now, we will get you some rest. The others will handle the search for the moment until you have had some sleep.", a pause, a sniff, "And a bath." of course that she is already looking at Ollie's clothes, they may have clues.

"No tossing any of those away as we will need to get them analyzed." She walks over to the man to rest one hand on his shoulder, "No one is stealing you away from us again."

A promise.
