Michael Hannigan has posed:
There's just something about Tuesday nights in restaurants and bars. Wednesdays tend to be trivia nights in a lot of places. Thursdays tend to be when the college students get a head start on their drinking. (In particular the ones who knew how to schedule three day weekends into their class chedule.) Fridays, well that's when the work crowd get involved usually. Saturdays, well sports fans got to go somewhere to watch their games, and Sundays... See Saturday's reason. And then the work week starts and Monday evening is spent forgetting all the weirdness that only happens the first day of the work week. By the time Tuesday rolls around a lot of drinking establishments are experiencing a lull. And that's when the drink specials occur.

And that is the siren song for one Mike Hannigan. In the rather empty Wick. Mike had his choice of seating. To be honest the Wick is pretty dimly lit so one didn't HAVE to be in a corner to get the darkness. But. It was available so-

Mike sits in one of the dark corners of the tavern (bar? pub?) but he's not exactly a mysterious stranger. He lives nearby so this place has become one of his sort of regular stopping places when he wants a drink or needs to get out of the condo for a bit of time. He's here. He's got a beer. And he's currently reading a rather worn looking book.

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake enters the Wick looking for a beer. He might not even know what day it is offhand. He doesn't have and jobs lined up. Even after salting some away for a well deserved retirement.

Like he was going to live that long!

The burly ginger gets the beer and begins chatting with several women at the bar, just passing the time. In a few moments it seems like he's holding shoulders and hands and has the ladies giggling.

Yes, grown and fairly successful women giggling.

He's smiling.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Just because the place may be experiencing a lull does not necessarily mean it is devoid of life. The higher tones of the giggling registers upon Mike's ear, disrupting the focus being granted towards the other task. Pale eyes shift, glancing over towards the bar as he lowers the book.

Despite all the evidence proving Mike is not part cat, the curiousity does win out. Seeing the source of the women's giggles, there's a bit of a brow raise as he recognizes the man. Book setting down upon the table, the musician glances around to see if anyone else from the security group is there for some reason.

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake seems to be there alone. Then again, he has a number of people who are darned good at staying unseen. When one of giggly women points to him and asks another a question, the second looks towards Mike as well, peers and then shrugs and goes back to the the big ginger they have surrounded.

Yes they caught him, but what is he going to do with them? He doesn't seem particularly worried. Their short conversation does cause him to look where the first pointed. He peers.

Thomas gives Mike a tough guy up nod. His equivalent of a purr.

Because a purr means come on over.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Not seeing any of the others, Mike's glance moves back towards the bar in time to see the two women looking away to talk about things. He could probably guess based off of the attention being granted towards the larger male in the establishment.

His glances shifts over towards Thomas in time to see the green eyes. Although, with the dimness of the place and actual distance, it's more memories that fill in the blanks to the eye coloration. The eye contact is one thing, yes it means that he likely knows he's there. But when the nod is added on, at least he knows it's ok to pop on over to say hi at least. There's a slight twist to the side of Mike's lips, betraying amusemunt to the situation. But the nod is returned.

Well, like everything else, service is slow, might as well go up to the bar to get another beer and cut out the middleman. Plus, it'd be rude not to come up and say 'Hi' after that exchange of nods now wouldn't it? Oh the hell with it. Glass and book in hands, he heads over.

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake watches Mike approach. One of the women starts to play with his hair and gets the look and stops.

"I'm just spending some of my fees. How is everything? No more trouble?" He takes a sip of beer and smirks. Customer satisfaction is important to him. Most of his advertising is by word of mouth.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Well, the month is still young." Mike replies, giving a slight chuckle as he sets the glass and book down upon the bar. "Weird stuff is always going to happen but so long as it's not popping up at work."

He opts not to go into detail around Thomas's company. "I appreciate the amount of time put in with that problem. How about I get the next round?" Mike offers, glancing to the two women, "Your lady friends too."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake nods his head. "Your agent wanted to get me a drink too. Why not? I thank you. Ladies, thank Mike. Be his friends too." A couple of women position themselves on either side of the musician and cuddle him, forming a sort of circle or huddle.

"Got any plans for the evening? We're thinking of getting a room, partying till the dawn. Hell invite Wade over if you want. He needs to loosen up a little."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Sign of a job well done I'd say if Wade's offering extra." Mike replies, turning to the bar with the newfound group gathered around. He gets the bartender's attention, smiling, "Another round for the four of us. On mine."

Drinks getting prepped. Mike turns back, listening to Thomas's offer "No plans. Generally when tours are involved. I'm pretty flexible between legs." He lets that sentence linger, "I like to take my time."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake's eye turn a little icy. "So I heard through some sources... high friends in low places about a show... you may have heard of it: Theme of the Crime. It deals with various theme criminals, in Gotham of course. Some words of advice... do not... I cannot stress this enough /don't/ mention the Clown or Quinn. The producers are assholes from Manhattan but we know better. The second word is, if you need a personal trainer, I am available. But... you mention the Clown I will not guarantee your safety. No one can."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The smile Mike had fades a bit as the expression on Thomas's face changes. Oh shit. Did he say it wrong? Fortunately an explanation is given to let Mike off the hook. Well, he thinks.

Thomas is rewarded with a confused expresion during the first part of the warning but when Thomas is offering training the pieces start falling into place. "Wade did mention that ARA had some offers for me to look at when I was settled. But I haven't yet."

Curiousity strikes again, "What role?"

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake says, "Oh it's a plum role. If you want some pointers before your audition, I'll be glad to help out. Satana too. We all will." Then he throws back his head and laughs.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Ok training. And pointers. Mike tilts his head, tilting his head up probably more than he has to in order to emphasize the different in height. Thank God for camera angles. "Oh yes." Mike replies blandly, "It's like looking in a mirror."

Still. Work IS work. "I'm guessing with the pointers and training offer you're actually ok with the idea so long as there's no mention of those two."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake shrugs. "Money is money. Everyone has to eat. I'm no egotist. But remember what I said about the Clowns. I can help you with the audition for no charge. You'd be trained by the real Catman. They can't buy publicity like that. You'd be a shoe in."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Also you'd have a bit more control in how you were portrayed." Mike adds in, "Instead of going with someone you don't know."

The sound of glasses being set before the quartet draws Mike's attention away from Catman, towards the glass containing a black liquid with the white lettering on the glass proclaiming proudly the contents. "Well. With that offer. If that's actually one of the offers I'm supposed to look at, I guess I could throw my hat in the ring. At the very least, I get some training out of the deal. I'll have a look later."

Mike glances back to the ladies and then to Thomas, lifting up his glass in a mock toast. "After we wake up."
