A Sweet Surprise
Date of Scene: 24 March 2020
Location: Main Foyer
Synopsis: Illegal cupcakes! Bickering teenagers! Frustrated adults! Sugar rushes and sage advice from a child that listens to Dr McCoy too much. Emma's surprise birthday treats for the X Mansion were well received by the kids, but the adults... something something security risk.
Cast of Characters: Emma Frost, Gabby Kinney, Laura Kinney, Hope Summers, Bobby Drake, Alex Summers, Julian Keller, Lorna Dane, Joshua Foley, Roberto da Costa, Rogue

Emma Frost has posed:
It's a fairly nice sunny mid-afternoon in Westchester County. The birds are singing. The sun is shining. The wind is lightly blowing an early spring breeze. The manse is buzzing with activity as students are finishing up classes for the day, teachers are finishing up having to teach class for the day, and guests are shuffling about and around.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney wasn't getting out of classes due to, uh, not really being enrolled in any. She was here however lingering in the foyer looking supreeeemely bored as she paces the hall back, and forth, and back, and forth with hands clasped behind her back. She was thinking. Rather hard. Too much time had been spent here currently and her mind was trying to focus on the more serious matter at hand of planning an attack on Alchemax. Which meant she'd need allies, and to get approval from Laura on the plan, and way too many other things.

But the nice weather outside was so distracting causing her to pause and stare out the window with a wistful smile.

Laura Kinney has posed:
Laura, fortunately, isn't enrolled in any classes. This means that she doesn't have to attend classes, but just swing by occasionally with Gabby. because Gabby liked it here, and Bellona had assorted medical things. So here she was, sprawled in a chair, reading a book from the library. Asimov, to be specific. Gabby gets an occasional look, but right now Laura is decently occupied. "You can go outside if you want. There are many sports."

Hope Summers has posed:
Class. Well, it's an interesting theory, but Hope isn't especially good at 'class.' Something about being raised in a series of post-apocalyptic futures just doesn't really lend itself to learning the skills required to sit quietly and read and write. So like Laura and Gabby, she's been avoiding anyone who looks like they might expect her to be in a class.

A recent foray into New York netted her a few high-tech (for the time-period) guns, which have kept her busy in her room disassembling them and reassembling them into something she thinks works better. Eventually though, she realized that she was hungry. Even better, she didn't have to //stay// hungry, because there's inevitably food happening downstairs.

She skips down the stairs at speed, a pair of magnifying glasses on top of her head, on her way toward the kitchen, pausing when she sees Gabby and Laura. "Hey," she greets the pair, smile flashing. "Anyone making food happen?"

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake is returning from a morning of college classes, arriving in Westchester after the trek back from NYC before he has to go out again later in the week. He wanders back with his messenger bag slung over one shoulder, whistling a little bit to himself, and seemingly in a good mood. There will be tutoring tomorrow, but for today he has no more school obligations, teaching, attending, or otherwise. There's a glance at Hope as he comes in with the magnifying glasses on her head and a little squint. "Nice accessories," he comments to her with a little bit of a grin.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex is definitely not enrolled in classes, meaning he totally gets to take advantage of the school gym while everyone else is in class. That's more or less done for now, as he comes meandering towards the front of the school, towel around is neck, carrying a gym bag and a sleeveless shirt open at the sides and a pair of athletic shorts, idly toweling off his hair as he does. Post workout, he's at least nice and relaxed. All that excess physical energy worked out.

He hasn't actually released his plasma energy, of course, but that's why he's heading towards the front door. It's a bit like doing your planking for the day last. Because you know it'll wear you the heck out, so you do it last.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller isn't paying much attention to his surroundings at the moment, idly flicking through his phone with a pair of earbuds in, listening to music loud enough to block out just about anything. Dressed in a red t-shirt with jeans, he has his feet propped up, ankles crossed and displaying a very expensive set of custom Jordans. He's already done his homework, although he's pretty close to graduating anyway. Not sure yet if he's going to do the college thing, it's not like he needs to get a job. Work. Gross. He flicks through Instagram with a finger. He wants to learn to do it with his TK, but last time he tried he shattered his phone into a million pieces.

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna was just returning from business elsewhere, meeting with Councilors and the alike, planners for Genosha, condolences, and other such things that required her attention, signature, and approval or disapproval. She was just getting out of the car she'd borrowed for the day, arriving just behind Bobby, and looking vaguely tired of it all.

The greenette wore a black turtleneck and clean cut blazer of some thicker material.

She shifted her purse on her shoulders as she waved the door to the car shut behind her. "Well, guess I came home as everyone is coming or going.." She drawled lightly.

Joshua Foley has posed:
Josh on the other hand unlike the Kinney's ... and so many others is enrolled and he is glad that classes are out for him which is a win in his book. He has some books tucked under his arm as he makes his way from the class wing towards the stairs to the private rooms.

Thank god Julian is around because for a minute there it was almost like Josh is the only student at this school for gifted children or whatever.

He does pause to watch Hope skip by and then looks over to Lorna and waves "Hey Lorna." well he at least looks much more settled in than the last time she saw him.

Emma Frost has posed:
A large white unmarked van pulls up the long driveway, parking near the front door. Three delivery folk, two men and a woman, hop out of the vehicle. They go around to the back end, pulling out pristine white cardboard pastry boxes and then make their way to the front door. One of the men rings the door bell.

"Delivery for a Mr. 'Alex Summers' at Xavier's School for the Gifted, Greymalking Lane, Westchester?" The foremost man says politely to whomever opens the door. The other two behind him shift with their stacks of boxes.

Bobby Drake has posed:
When the delivery people are buzzed up to the door by someone who austensibly cleared them at the gate, Bobby heads over to the door and opens it up, staring at the people standing outside. "Hey," he says, looking at the pastry boxes and then glancing over his shoulder. "Hey, Alex," he calls out toward the Summers. "There's a delivery for you. It looks like food. And there are ravenous hungry sharks circling the foyer. If you wanna see any of it you should probably come check it out."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Seeing the car arrive with Lorna, Gabby whirls away from the window to head for the door. She barely makes it there when Laura pipes up and she flashes the older Kinney a grin. "Oh I'm just waiting for Bellona to get done her check up today is all," she points out as she starts for the door again. There's an announcement of a visitor, as well, but she didn't know what that was about. It's a good thing Bobby gets to the door first.

Peeking her head around the doorframe she looks at the delivery driver, and the boxes, with a hint of suspiciousness. "... What's a birthday?"

Laura Kinney has posed:
"I was not aware that Alex had ordered food." Laura, at some point, has managed to go from sprawled in a chair to standing behind Gabby without making any noise in the interim. "It is the day you were born. It is usually celebrated with gatherings and food. Our childhoods sucked." Gabby gets a shoulder squeeze.

Alex Summers has posed:
The call from the front gets a slightly confused look from Alex. "For me?" he says, frowning at that point. There's no way in hell he ordered something to arrive here. No one should know he's here officially, considering, well...secret school. Maybe....Emma? Huh. Well....that's just...going to mean he needs to answer a looooooot of questions if she did, and he thought she was up on the whole 'sorta secret' school. "No, I didn't order food." he says distractedly to Laura. "I'm not using this place as a delivery address, definitely....maybe someone here ordered something? I mean..it is my birthday..." he admits with a thoughful frown. "I'll go see."

He sets down his bag, then starts jogging towards the front door to see what's going on.

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope tilts her head when Bobby mentions accessories, then laughs as she remembers the glasses on her head. "Yeah. Function //and// fashion. I'm ahead of my times, what can I say?"

Food is tempting...but Hope is more interested in the people bringing it and their transportation. Sure, the school has its own security. But that doesn't mean she goes around trusting people other than herself with actual security. Especially since Alex seems surprised. "Maybe Scott ordered it?" she asks, though even she doesn't sound like she believes that.

Joshua Foley has posed:
The clarion cry of Food and Sharks does get Josh's attention. He steps to set the books down on a random end table, not like anyone will be stealing school books when most people seem to be fleeing being enrolled in classes after all.

He starts to make his way closer now. Because well .... he is pretty sure Gabby could eat all of everything. Just a hunch.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller has popped out an earbud as he notices the door being answered, just in time to overhear Laura's comment, "Wait, you had a childhood? I thought you hatched from an egg like two years ago," he says with an amused smirk. He pushes up to his feet and stretches, yawning a bit.

"Please tell me this food is edible and not the usual grocery store crapola. I can only pretend to like the taste of dried out fondant that's been sitting in a display case for so long," he says, turning off his music and coming to peer around.

As Alex says it's his birthday, Julian looks towards him, "It's your birthday and you're going to eat cake with a bunch of schoolkids? Did somebody hire a clown, too? I mean, you are old enough to buy liquor, right?"

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna slowly came up through the side door, just in time to see the chaos of the front room. Her eyebrows climbed up as she peeled off her blazer and purse. "Wait, what's going on? Someone came up the drive behind me.." She trailed off, and as people spoke of //food// and a deliver, her confusion mounted.

"Oh.. Happy Birthday Alex?" She winced, oh boy, Scott was already in a mood and that was partly her fault for bringing up the security issues.. Oh boy.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Visitors, let alone unplanned deliveries like this one were rare at the school, so when Berto spots them coming he gets up from where he situated himself outside and wanders over past the delivery guys and into the school to join the others.

"Oh hey, happy birthday," Berto says to Alex. "What'd you get and from who?" he asks. Really it's what they all want to know besides, 'can I have some?' right?

Emma Frost has posed:
They carry in eight boxes of one dozen gourmet cupcakes each from one of New York City's finest and hippest bakeries: The Sugar Shoppe, all decorated with 'Indiana Jones' themed buttercream and marshmallow fondant. Each dozen is decorated like such: 3 with whips, 3 with ragged fondant fedoras, 2 with a fondant belt with a holster with a pistol laying beside it, 2 with a small ancient stone statue that Indy exchanged for a bag of sand in fondant, 1 with a fondant Ark of the Covenant, and one with the round key for the staff in fondant.

The flavors for each box include:
    1. Chocolate with Chocolate Buttercream
    2. Rainbow Sparkle with Vanilla Buttercream
    3. Vanilla with Vanilla Buttercream
    4. Marble with Chocolate and Vanilla Buttercream
    5. Devil's Food with Chocolate Buttercream
    6. Strawberry with Vanilla Buttercream
    7. Cappuccino with Vanilla Buttercream
    8. Margarita with Vanilla-Lime Buttercream

The three delivery personnel also bring in three six-packs each of 20 oz Coca-Cola Classic, Cherry-Vanilla Coke, Sprite, and Fanta Orange; as well as three 40-pack variety snack bags of chips, with two being the regular mix, and the third being flamin' hot mix.

After bringing those in, they return to the van outside and bring in a stack of ten large pizzas from Gino's: three cheese, three pepperoni, two supreme, a Hawaiian, and a meat-lover's. As well, there's package of nice disposable plates and another of mixed utensils.

On the top box of cupcakes, there is a white-enveloped card addressed to 'Alex Summers'. The card itself is very nice, heavy weight paper with a silvery pattern that simply says inside, in a neat flowing script, "Happy birthday, Alex! I didn't think it would be fair to send cupcakes without enough for the kids, too, so I made sure there's enough to share. xoxo, Emma".

Gabby Kinney has posed:
With Laura behind her it might be hard to see the smaller Gabby there. She does look back at Laura though offering her a solemn nod of understanding when it's explained. Another one of many things on a list of 'things we should have had, but didn't, because labs suck.' She's about to say something when Julian pipes up with that remark.

Gabby shifts to the side so she can look at Julian with a little frown, and she gives him a quick up and down look.

"I didn't know Tony Snark had a clone, too."

Laura Kinney has posed:
Laura regards the food with some element of suspicion. ...On one hand, free food. on the other, free food from an unknown source. "We already have a clown, Julian Keller. You are here." Yes, she knows your name, Keller. Don't ask how, you probably don't want to know. Gabby gets a shoulder squeeze for the effort. Once the delivery guys are gone, Laura speaks up again. "I cannot be killed by poisons. I believe I should test some of the food."

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex is bemused, but also touched that Emma remembered when he hadn't thought to really...well, plan anything with her out of town and all that. "What was that? You don't want any cupcakes?" he says to Julian. "Well, that's big of you, I'm sure someone else will enjoy them." There's a very cheerful deadpan tone to it as he picks up the boxes, then says. "Not my doing, but the person who remembered my birthday figured it'd be unfair for just me to have one by myself." He finds open space on tables and opens them up, before snagging the marble one. "Feel free to snag one I guess? If you aren't Tony Snark's clone."

Joshua Foley has posed:
There is a distracted glance at the snark and sass between Julian and Gabby. Shit. Josh wouldn't fuck with the Kinney clones. They have very sharp bits and he can heal even.

There is a chuckle at the Tony Snark comment though.

Still food gets the attention back. "Cupcakes.. Soda... holy crap pizza... someone has to have money.. I meann.... this is just your birthday right?" to Alex. then Josh pauses "Also happy birthday but... uh.. is this normal around here?"

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna looked at the chaos unfolding, and reached up to pinch the bridge of her nose. "Hold up! No one eats anything until we know who sent this and we've cleared it for security measures. Okay? No one touch anything.." She exhaled a breath, looking to Laura, and grimaced. "Just because you can't die doesn't mean we want to watch you get poisoned." She pursed her lips, when had //she// had to become the responsible person in the room?

Oh dear god, she was starting to sound like Scott or Jean.

"Alex, who sent this?" She had a feeling, but she wanted him to confirm her suspicions. Because when Scott heard he was going to lose it.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller goes for the Devil's Food, of course, not actually bothering to ask permission, "Of course I want some. These actually appear to be decent. They cost actual money, which means not many people here could have sent them," he says.

He raises an eyebrow at Gabby as he shamelessly takes a bite of a cupcake, "Tony Snark? That was almost a good joke. You didn't even snarl or drool. You're coming along nicely."

To Laura, he adds, "I'm a clown, huh? Well, once some of your latent genes kick in, you'll probably be the bearded lady so that's fair. Do you have to shave your back yet?"

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope watches the parade of food with a raised brow, turning back to Alex as he reads the card. "Who remembered your birthday this much?" she asks, only to get distracted by the wordplay between the Kinneys and Julian. Seeing him, she pauses, squinting a bit.

"Damn," she drawls. "Somehow losing your hands made you //less// obnoxious. Impressive." Weird comment, but then again, she's not exactly normal either.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto had come and stood next to Josh when he entered the room, blinking over from the snark from Julian, Gabster and Laura, he shakes his head.

"Not even a little bit normal, normally, the pizza and cupcakes would explode or become some sort of monster or mutant hating robot, this... so far... seems kind of alright, so definitely not normal."

He turns then sticking out a hand, "You're the new kid right, I'm Berto."

Laura Kinney has posed:
     *snikt*
The delivery man is gone, so Laura is free to retaliate for percieved bullying of her little sister. The cupcake distracted teen would feel a tickle at his throat, followed by a metallic smell. Blood... and something else. "If you know who my father is, then you know not to mess with me. Or my little sister. I do not like bullies." Laura is completely still, eyes focused totally on Keller. "Logan has had decades to practice restraint. Do you wish to test me?"

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex pulls down the wrapper for the cupcake. He's an adult dammit, so he can have dessert first if he wants, taking a bite out of it and sighing. "Mmmmm....mmm?" he notes to Lorna and Hope's question, before chewing and swallowing. "Ah...Emma...Frost?" he says hesistantly. Well, crap. Now he's going to get it. It's not like he can tell people how Emma found out without outing her, so he's so going to get blamed for tellign her or something. Meh. This requires more cake. Another bite is taken, and savored this time. Last mean before execution!

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Cupcakes. Pizza. Junkfood heaven. Gabby had had pizza, but never cupcakes. At least not yet, she'd seen some on those darn Food Network shows and MAN she wanted one. Enough so that, even as Laura is offering to be the poison tester and Julian starts snarking back, she's already at one of the boxes bouncing on her feet with her finger stuck into the frosting of one aaaand it's in her mouth.

Just as Lorna tells everyone to pause. So she does with green eyes flitting around slowly. At least it's easy to see which cupcake she'd claimed via this method.

The finger pops out of her mouth with a simple, "Oops."

Julian gets eyed again warily as she just isn't sure what to think of him. She didn't even know who he was though it seemed Laura did. Hope gets a grin at the odd remark, even if it's one she isn't sure of. But then Laura is at Julian's throat and she winces in response.

"Laura, be good! You'd get blood all over the carpets."

Joshua Foley has posed:
Okay, once more distracted from the food. First by Lorna telling everyone not eat it until it is screened. Then by Roberto coming out next to him. "Uh... monsters?" yeah that sounds like a bad cupcake incident really.

He does shake the hand though "Josh."

Then Gabby is yelling that Laura should be good and his attention whiplashes over to Laura and Julian.

Woof.

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna shot Alex a look, her lips pursing into a line. "I doubt she'd tried to poison the kids then." She offered, "We'll talk about this later, so I can give you a run down on things... before Scott does, okay? It's your birthday." She offered softer, and then was moving toward the chaos that were the students, muttering under her breath that she was //not// a teacher.

"Julian! Back off, and watch your tongue. Laura. No stabbing." She snapped, and with her hands spread wide, green magnetic powers lit up her features.

"So help me I will throw everyone to opposite sides of this room!" She glanced around and slowly exhaled, letting her hands fall back to her sides as she straightened.

"You can eat the food. It's probably fine." She looked at Gabby and Laura, arching a brow for confirmation.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
"Good to meet you man," Berto says before adding. "Mostly I was being hyperbolic but weird bad shit happens more often than weird good shit like this."

A name cuts through the usual teenage banter, said by Alex.

"Wait, Emma Frost, like from the Club?" he asks the man. "Wow, dude way to punch above your weight class on that one," he gives the older man a thumbs up.

Then he heads over to scope out the cupcakey goodness.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller wipes his mouth with a napkin (thank heaven there were napkins), only to suddenly find a claw at his throat.

"I'm not sure threatening to attack me is exactly the clear anti-bullying message you want to send," he says, his eyes flashing green and glowing just a bit, "The only reason I haven't thrown you through the wall is because I don't want to pay for the repairs. I didn't know you were so sensitive to having your feelings hurt. I'll be sure to tread extra carefully around your tender ears," he says. He's wrapped a TK field around himself, at least, pushing Laura back just a little bit with it if he can. He might not be able to stop the claws from cutting him, but he can at least hold her arm back, hopefully, to keep her from making the final plunge into his neckmeat.

"See, now you've upset Lorna. Don't you feel bad?" he says, straightening the collar on his shirt as he back off, a trickle of blood running down the hollow of his throat.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue was in the dining hall when she heard some commotion out here, and after finishing up her meal she stepped out into the hallway and came down toward the foyer to spy the others gathered there-in. She quietly stands off to the side and folds her arms over her stomach, her dark green sweater rumpling softly beneath her forearms now as she trails her green eyes over everyone, to Lorna (who gets a little glare) and then around to the rest as well. She hears the hostilities and just shifts her weight from one booted foot to the other, and waaaatches.... judgin' everyone.

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope wrinkles her nose when Alex explains where the food came from, suddenly much less interested. "That sounds about right," she grumbles, shoving her hands into her pockets and taking a step back. That's when she sees that others have arrived, including Josh.

Her brows rise, a smile spreading across her features when she sees him. "Hey, Josh!" she exclaims, heading in his direction as if she knows him.

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake just stands back a bit while all the chaos ensues, watching the delivery people go for a moment or two before he closes the door and then turns to look at everyone diving into the cupcakes. When it is mentioned that they came from Emma Frost, both brows go up a little bit, but then he makes his way over to look at the cupcakes and finally reaches in to select one, grabbing one of the marble ones with the two-tone frosting. He steps back and peels the wrapper off, taking a bite. "Well, they taste good," he offers. Then to Alex, "Happy Birthday, man." There's a glance over toward Lorna, knowing full well that there's likely going to be some trouble, but perhaps that can be deferred in the wake of birthday wishes for just a little bit.

Laura Kinney has posed:
"If I wanted to attack you, I would have. This was a warning calculated so you would understand." Laura's eyes flick over to Lorna, claws retracting into her fist again. "Technically, slicing is not stabbing. Even without my claws, there are many ways I can make your life extremely painful. Watch your step." Turning, she retrieves her own cupcake. Double chocolate of course. "Do not worry, Gabby. The carpets will not be stained. There are many ways to kill a person and not spill blood." Nom. ..."These are good cupcakes."

Joshua Foley has posed:
Josh watches the continued chaos and drama and then glances at Berto. "Is this normal?" he inquires before shrugging it off and heading to the boxes of cupcakes perusing through them now.

"Oo strawberry." he plucks a cupcake up and inhales it, eating like a hungry teenager and keeping one eye on Laura and Julian still while he does. "These are good cupcakes."

He is eating quick because of the hoard of other mutant NPC kids swarming since Lorna said it was okay.

God Pizza next before the sharks eat it all... he ducks and weaves that way quickly.

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna was not a teacher. She did //not// have the patience for people around her age, or younger. Not on a whole. Not when they had //problems// and went against the school rules. She was used to being a ruler in which people either worshipped her or feared her.. She was more than a little tempted to throw a sink at Julian, and her gaze swung between the two as they separated.

"Julian," She glanced at Laura then back and there was a slight pressure that fell into the air, like ozone as the magnetism in her hands went into the electromagnetic spectrum slightly.

"Shove a cupcake in your mouth if you can't say anything //nice//." She gritted out and exhaled a breath, reaching up to pinch the bridge of her nose as she drew back and swallowed her rage at just people not listening.

She stepped back from the chaos, watching and pulling out her phone from her purse. She hadn't even had time to set it aside yet.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Well I know there's multiple ways to kill someone, Laura, that's easy. People break easily. Just trying not to actually do that to anyone," Gabby lets out only to flash a look over at Lorna, then back to Julian. She'd already kind of tuned him out at this point with all his incessant rambling. "He sure likes to talk a lot."

With a shrug she plucks up her cupcake to take a bite. It's swallowed almost whole, and she looks to Alex to offer, "Happy birthday! Thanks for the food!" That seemed to be how it was done, right?

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex holds up his hands at Lorna's glare in a Harrison Ford style 'who me?' expression, but doesn't stop chewing. Can't possibly answer to explain any of this! Cupcake.

He shrugs a bit at Berto and smiles faintly, swallowing. "Yeah, it kinda...just happened." he notes in a not at all unpleased way. Well, he should have expected this really, it's not like she's not...well, a famous socialite. He eyes the altercation between Julian and Laura, but, well...he's not a teacher and HOLY SHIT she has knife hands. Literally. Thank goodness, distracted Lorna thought.

Rogue's judging is noticed as Alex glances over at her arrival, nodding to her slightly as he meets her eyes, then frowns at Hope. "What is?" he says, a bit uncertainly now, before he's distracted by Bobby's well wishes. "Thanks man. It's been an interesting year..." He finishes off his cupcake and moves to snag a piece of pizza next, smiling at Gabby. "Thank you, and you're welcome. Though really you should thank Emma. Ah, if you ever meet her." he says, rubbing the back of his neck absently.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue catches Alex's look and she gives him an upnod, but she also then catches sight of the... cupcakes? The Belle uncrosses her arms and starts to walk over toward them where they've been getting distributed. "Oooo." She makes a little tiny noise of pleasure upon seeing all the flavors. "Look out, ya'll." She quietly adds as she pops a glove off her right hand and reaches for one with bright yellow frosting. She mutters softly while raising the cupcake up. "How can there be so much anger in the air with so much sugah waitin' t'be eaten?" She says to no one in particular before she tips the cupcake to the side a bit and then extends her tongue out to lick some of the frosting off the edge of it.

Bobby Drake has posed:
"Hey, guys, less threats and more cupcakes, alright?" Bobby says to those still bickering from where he stands, his own cupcake half-eaten as people swarm. "Please?" He may be one of the youngest teachers in the whole school, but he does feel compelled to at least say something. "Have some pizza. Grab a soda." Then he grins over at Alex and says, "Yeah. It's definitely been a year. How you doing?" He makes his way over to stand near Alex after obtaining a slice of pizza for himself, balancing both the half-eaten cupcake and the pizza slice on one of the many nice plates that were sent along.

Laura Kinney has posed:
Laura Kinney takes one additional cupcake (Rainbow Sparkle), and places it and the chocolate with a bite out of it on a plate. Additionally, three pieces of meatlover's pizza are plated. Healing factors have hella calorie requirements, you know. Finally... orange soda. Chair is also acquired again. Nom.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller uses a napkin to wipe off the trickle of blood and goes to flop back in his chair. He does keep his cupcake, the glow in his eyes fading as he's reprimanded. He wants to protest that he didn't do anything wrong, it's not his fault they're barely civilized and why should he be punished for making a few jokes.

But, for once, he thinks better of it and just eats his cupcake until it's finished. It IS a really good cupcake.

"All hail Emma Frost," he says, crumpling up the cupcake paper and tossing it into a nearby wastebasket.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"I'd love to meet her! She must be awesome," Gabby decides as she starts in on her second cupcake. The first was the most brightly colored one she could find. Now she looks around deciding what to do. Oh and there's plates! One of them is grabbed as she loads on another cupcake... And another. Three? Three seemed good. There was pizza, too, after all. Cappuccino, and Margarita, and... Oh sure another rainbow sparkle for good measure. Licking the sticky icing off her fingertips she steps away so others can get the load of deliciousness, too.

"I dunno Rogue, adults are weird," she offers with a shrug and a wink to show she was teasing. Laura wasn't that old after all. She couldn't speak for Julian. Speaking of...

Reluctantly she sets her plate down and gets a cup to fill with soda which she walks over to Julian to offer out to him. "Hey. We never got introduced. I'm Gabby."

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna sighed, crisis averted. No one died. No one killed each other. Sure there was a massive security breach, and she'd have to tell Scott and try to warn Alex gently that maybe he should be scarce for the rest of his birthday if he wanted to have a nice one. She winced, and tucked her phone away into her back pocket as she withdrew from the chaos and away from the food.

Notably, not picking up any of it herself. She rubbed her temple, shaking her head as she glanced to Bobby.

"How do you teach? I swear, I'd kill half the class, and have the other half magnetized to their chairs."

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope grimaces to Alex. "There's literally nothing I can say about Emma Frost that wouldn't be weird," she admits. "So, since the Ms. Frost I knew isn't the one here, probably better to keep my mouth shut and give her a...chance." Given how open Hope is about not expecting people to do any of the bad things they did in her world, it's probably telling that she has a hard time saying the same thing about Emma Frost.

Ultimately though, she surrenders to the siren call of cupcakes, taking a chocolate one for herself.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue glances over to Bobby not far from her and she walks past him to another table to get a napkin, and as she goes by she gives him one of those behind the knee butt-kicks for the fun of it. She snatches up a napkin then and hears Gabby's words which makes her eyes look up to her and a grin to fall across her lips as she dabs at them. "You got that right." She says back in response to the 'adults' comment. A glance is given to Laura then as she spots the young woman grabbing for the sprinkle donut. "Good choice." Rogue says with a full mouth of cupcake after taking her first bite.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller looks at Gabby with surprise, almost confusion. She was being nice to him? He almost said something nasty again to drive her off, but, amazingly, thought better of it.

"Julian Keller," he says, taking the soda, "Hellion." He says. He waits for a moment, looking at her as if waiting for the other shoe to drop, for her to hit him or call him an asshole or such.

"Sorry I pissed off your sister," he mutters. Sort of an apology!

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex's brow furrows as he eyes Hope. Well. That's not ominous. "She's pretty awesome, yes." he confirms to Gabby though, smiling a bit at that. Granted, he's probably biased, but...well. He glances at Lorna, munching on pizza. "Hey, don't look at me. I don't know how anyone manages to teach around here either considering the craziness that keeps coming up." he says simply.

Joshua Foley has posed:
"Wait her name is actually Emma Frost... he wasn't making a frosting joke?" yeah okay sure Josh thought Hellion over there was making a pun of some sort.

Whatever he heads over to near his books with a plate full of pizza and a soda.

"Hey Rogue." he greats chipperly.

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna glanced up at Alex, and grimaced slightly as she finally found time to set her purse and blazer down and out of the way of the chaos. "We can't exactly..." Trust her fell off, and she exhaled a breath, shaking her head slightly. "There's a reason I didn't want to teach here after I graduated. Well, many reasons... my patience is limited severely. I don't know how out of my siblings I ended up the responsible one with Genosha.. but.." She shrugged.

"Still easier than teaching." She muttered.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney doesn't even drop the soda on him! It's just offered sincerely and honestly as well as the grin she gives him that dimples her cheeks, and creases the scars on her face in the process. "It's okay. Tempers run in my family, and she's protective of me to begin with." Pausing she considers before explaining, "I don't have another name besides Gabby, though I do have a flight callsign. I got a jet ride at the Ferris Air Expo." Grinning brighther she adds, "My callsign is 'Dropbear'." Yes. Yes she's serious. Yes. Totally.

Then out of the blue she asks, "Have you met everyone here yet? I know most everyone so far. You should come join in the fun." Which was, by now at least, sorta fun? Food and such. The tension had lessened at least.

Looking over her shoulder she calls out to Lorna after her remark, "It's because you're awesome, Lorna!"

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake grins over at Lorna a little bit and shrugs his shoulders, "It's not all that bad. And if they try to kill each other I freeze them solid until they cry uncle." He doesn't, really, but he gives her a grin that suggests that her magnetized chair idea isn't far off from what he'd like to do every so often. "Honestly, I like it. And once I graduate in a couple of months, I'll be doing it full time." Oh yeay, more math. The students are probably thrilled.

There's a glance over between Gabby and Julian for a moment, but since there seems to be calm greetings going on there, he takes another bite of his pizza, unconcerned. He grins over at Lorna and says, "I'm not sure I envy you that job, either."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue leans over to bump shoulders gently with Josh when he says hey. She glances over at him and smiles and gives a "Heya." right back. "You doin' all right? Settlin' in good?" She asks him then before taking another bite of the mini cake. With a full mouth she glances around. "Fhe perfson who madf isf named Frosf?" She then laughs softly before putting the napkin over her lips.

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope takes a bite of the cupcake, gathering up a soda for herself as well and sticking it into the thigh pocket of her cargo pants. Just in case they run out. It's a habit. With that done, she moves over toward Lorna and Bobby.

"Thankfully, I don't think anyone expects me to teach anything," she announces with an unapologetic smile. "But, you know. I'm all for helping out however I can."

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller raises an eyebrow, "Dropbear, huh? Sounds like a candy. Seems fitting enough. Picking out a codename is part of the fun. Things are crappy enough for mutants as it is, we might as well find the bright spots where we can, huh?"

He takes a sip of the soda, "I've got kind of a temper, too. I get it." he says. Which doesn't mean he won't poke that particular hornet's nest again. He kind of likes to live on the edge. Plus, she's so easy to rile up, how's he going to resist?

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex raises a brow. Rogue? Well, really, as nicknames work it seems to suit her. Again, every teacher here moonlighting as a model, apparently, as he snags another piece of pizza, then blinks and pauses to head over to his bag, rummaging a bit to take out his phone, opening up his texting app, then sending off a message to Emma. 'Thanks for the birthday food! I'll have to plan something special when you get back. The kids here seem to love it too. <3 <3 <3.' Then hits send to text it off to wherever Emma is in her day today.

Joshua Foley has posed:
"I think the lady that bought the cipcakes is called Emma Frost" he notes to Rogue. "Also pizza." to whit he totally takes a bite of the pizza and chews happily.

"Huh.. codenames.. wonder what I should come up with as a callsign. No that is not an invite for sarcastic nicknames.."

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake looks over toward Rogue and chuckles a little bit as she talks with her mouth full, shaking his head with a grin before taking another bite of his pizza. Then he glances over at Hope and says, after he's finished chewing, "I don't think anyone expects anyone to teach, but for some of us who grew up here, it just seems a natural thing to do -- help out those who came after us like we were when we were kids. I was really young when I first came here." He grins and shrugs his shoulders.

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna pursed her lips, and glanced down, shrugging once. "I'm going to go clean up," She exhaled a breath. "And Alex, if I were you, I would seriously consider having a chat with Jean or I before you run into Scott." She hedged, and turned to go.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue flashes a grin back to Bobby and shrugs her shoulders inside of her sweater as she finishes off the cupcake. She dabs at her mouth again and then wads the napkin up and tosses it in the little fancy waste bin beside the table. "Well then, I guess my work here is done." She looks around at the others and starts to meander toward the main staircase. "I dunno know who this Frost person is, or where they got those cupcakes, but someone tell'em I said 'Thanks!'." She starts up a step, glances over her shoulder and peers her eyes. "Ya'll aren't gonna tell'er are ya?" With a heavy sigh she shrugs her shoulders and takes another step up. "I figured as much!"

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Well, most people don't murder, literally, when ticked off," Gabby has to admit with a glance over in her direction, then back with a shrug. "I understand Logan's just as bad, or was. My sisters were all like that too in the labs." Wait, what? Sisters? There were MORE of them? Moving on without thinking about it she adds, "I'm just getting used to life out here so I haven't needed a second name at all yet. But yeah it is fun to come up with a cool name."

She looks over in time to catch Alex giving that goofy smile as he sends off a text to Emma. It doesn't take much detectiving to figure out WHO he was texting, so she grins brightly at a thought. "Hang on a second..." With that she slinks over to Alex to make a snatch for his phone. "Here, you got to send a picture at least, too!" Which is precisely what she does. One hand holds up the phone as she stands on her tippy toes holding the phone up high enough to try to get Alex in the picture, too. The other takes a big chomp of colorful cupcake. It's a decent picture, and gets a good many people in the background still chatting and eating and enjoying, as well as Alex (minus eyebrows up) and then Gabby herself in the lower corner obviously the shortest here. With a quick thumb text she sends the picture along with <3<3<3 u rock thnx!

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex snorts at Lorna. "He hasn't had any time to talk to me so far, he'll probably just send me a notarized letter of displeasure this time." he mutters, shrugging, then mmms. "Sure, yeah." A bit evasively. Nooooot really looking forward to talking to a telepath about it, considering he's trying to not out Emma accidentally.

Of course, distraction means that Gabby can snatch his phone before he's reall aware she's grabbing for it, then blinks and smiles at the picture. "Ah, right..." In for a penny, in for a pound, he figures. Not like she didn't already glean a lot of the mansion from him thinking about it after all. "Thanks..." he says to Gabby.

Bobby Drake has posed:
When Rogue moves to go past again, Bobby reaches out and gives her a little nudge in the side with one elbow, not risking a kick in the butt while he's still balancing a partially eaten slice of pizza and a mostly devoured cupcake. One wouldn't want to lose precious food. But he gives her a little smile and says, "Don't be a stranger," as she moves to head off.

There's a glance after Lorna as she too begins to head off before he turns his attention back to Alex, "It'll be alright." He tries to sound reassuring, but there's that faint note that maybe he's not so sure about that.

Emma Frost has posed:
Alex's phone buzzes in Gabby's hand. <<I'm glad the kids liked it! I'm about to head into a meeting now for that acquistion that's been giving us problems for the past few months. My place? Tonight? We can do breakfast out in the morning.>>

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney blinks at the message that pops up on the phone in her hand. It wasn't that she was trying to snoop but it just popped up and reading was automatic... Turning back around to Alex she solemnly offers the phone back toward him to intone in a serious, matter-of-fact tone, "You're being invited to a booty call."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue makes a little 'ouch' noise when Bobby teases her with a nudge, obviously not really hurt. But as she makes her way up the stairs she overhears what's going on down below still and she glides her hand up the smooth wooden railing before shouting out 'Wooo! booty call!' before vanishing upstairs, where two young students arrive in her wake and glance back at her as she goes with rather odd expressions on their faces.

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope //was// enjoying a cupcake. And then Gabby had to go and say certain things out loud. "Ugh, gross," she groans, making a face. "Alex, c'mon, man. Don't do it. That is...Ew. Isn't she //old//?"

Ah, the wonders of youth. And assumptions.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller blinks and looks up, "Booty call? Is it from the 90s? I didn't think he was -that- old. Did he also get a message on his pager about the sweet new pogs he can buy?" he says.

Not that he's jealous. Furiously, burningly, irritatingly, sandpapery green as grass envious.

Nope.

Not even a little bit.

That crack in that vase was probably there before. And sometimes windows just shake, okay!

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake raises both brows a little at the announcement of the booty call and then coughs, hiding the chuckle behind a bite of pizza. Yes. Pizza. He focuses on that, finishing off the slice before finishing the remainder of his cupcake. Then, it's back to the table to grab another soda as he keeps an eye on those around. With a brief brush of his fingers, the can frosts up on the outside before he takes a sip. Which only prompts one of the students nearby to hold out their can toward him and make the puppy-eyes face until he does the same to theirs with a slight sigh that is only a little rueful.

Alex Summers has posed:
Okay, well, that draws a bit of a facepalm. "Thanks...Gabby." he manages, taking the phone back to glance at it. Oye. Well, he supposes this is karma for suprise cupcakes to the secret mansion school. "She's only a year older than me..." Alex protests. "How ancient do you think I am, kid?" He grumbles a bit. Then winces a bit as Rogue yells back down. Ah. Well. Hell with it. "Trust me, she's just the right age, and none of your business if we do." he comments to Hope.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney is rather serious faced about all this in spite of the fact that half the rest of the room was laughing. Maybe all that sugar was starting to cause her to crash so she was having slow reaction times. Or, maybe, she really was serious. When Alex takes the phone back she reaches both hands up to place on his shoulders. Which took some doing given she was probably a good foot and a half shorter than him.

"I know it's your birthday which I guess means celebrating and that's certainly one way to celebrate, just remember to do so... Safely, okay? We don't need any more Summers' babies showing up from the future. I think Dr. McCoy might have prophalactics if you ask nicely."

Hope Summers has posed:
"In my defense, I'm adopted," Hope notes academically after Gabby's warning. "But she's got a point. I'd bet ones that were part Frost would be even-" Stop it, be nice. She clears her throat, shoving the rest of the cupcake in her mouth instead. If you don't have anything nice to say, occupy your mouth with cupcakes.

"Sorry. Your life, your choices, your business. Happy birthday, Alex," she says around a mouthful.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller puts his earbuds back in, cranking up Avenged Sevenfold in his ears and battering his eardrums. He doesn't need to hear the rest of that discussion. It's already making the delicious cupcake curdle in his guts. He ate a love cupcake from Emma to her boyfriend. Gross.

The rattling of the window slows at last, settling down as he tries to transfer his rage into the music, tossing the remains of the soda in the same trash can as the cupcake.

Joshua Foley has posed:
Josh nearly chokes laughing as he takes a bite of pizza and looks over to Gabby and just watches for Alex's reaction now wide eyed.

This is a special kind of amazing though. I mean the future Summers kid bit is a bit strange and he isn't sure what that means but my god that was amazing.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex blinks and actually flushes a bit. "...uh. Yeah, already planned on that. If, uh, it came up." he quickly adds. Oye, how did he end up talking about morning coffee times with Emma with young teens? "But, ah, thank you for the...suggestion." He nods to HOpe. "Thanks...appreciate it." he says simply. Julian's look of death is missed hwoeverr, though Josh's snickering is not. Welp. This will be all over the school by tomorrow, he figures.

Bobby Drake has posed:
"That's uh, very thoughtful of you Gabby. Pretty sure that Alex has got it covered," Bobby tries, only somewhat vaguely, to be a little bit helpful, but he's trying not to laugh and while he's doing a good job of stifling it, that's only going to last so long. Oh look, another cupcake. He grabs a strawberry one and carefully sets about unwrapping it.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney gives a firm nod of approval. "All right then." Satisfied she grins brightly at Alex and lets him go to flee, or drown himself in shame, or whatever the case may be. She still had cupcakes to devour as she reclaims her plate triumphantly.

Then notices the snickering from Josh, the tuning out of Julian, and everyone else. Shrugging she steps over to Hope with a grin. "These are really great cupcake! Emma has the best cupcakes!"

Hope Summers has posed:
"Yeah, it's the cupcakes the boys go for," Hope mumbles to Gabby around a mouthful of cupcake. She follows it up with a wink, though. No hard feelings for Gabby at least. In search of a distraction, she tips her chin over in Josh's direction. "Hey," she says, smile easy. "It's Josh, right? I'm Hope. This is Gabby, if you haven't met her yet."

Joshua Foley has posed:
Josh manages to get the amusement under control and swallow the pizza without choking to death on it. He nods while he manages that to Hope and then speaks up once he has it mastered.

"Yeah Josh. Hope is a cool name and yeah I've met Gabby. It was memoriable. Lot of people to still meet though only been here a bit more than a week."

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex will be the first to admit, having sampled them, that Emma's cupcakes are top notch. Five stars, would go for again! But right now he's just...rubbing his face, looking at the phone, then sending a message. 'Good luck! And sure. Let me know when you'll be back, I'll bring takeout. Thai?' He sighs. And now he's got to duck his brother for a while and possibly come clean with Lorna or Jean. Man. "Wait, you're adopted?" he say to Hope belatedly. He did not know this!

Emma Frost has posed:
<<Probably not until 8 or so. Long day. Thai is good, talk to the front desk when you get to the club.>> There's a short pause, then a second message following. <<Might be called in for another meeting tomorrow early. This acquisition is going to kill me.>>

Hope Summers has posed:
"I think you'll do great here, Josh," Hope grins to the latest arrival. "Really." And not at all because she's seen him do it in her own world or anything.

At Alex's question, she shrugs, finishing off another cupcake. "Yeah, more or less. I mean, it's not like it's a formal, legal thing, but I'm not //actually// related to anyone here. I was raised by a Summers, though," she explains. "Nathan. His story's a little more complicated."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney glances around at the thinning crowd and the fact that she'd sampled most of the cupcakes. MOST. Taking a chocolate onto her plate she then snags a bottle of soda, and considers her options. "I should bring one to Bellona. She likes chocolate," she explains with a grin offered to Hope and Alex and everyone else left. With that she starts off.

Only to pause, and double back to where Julian was bunkered up in his chair. Scooping a bit of the frosting off the plate where it had fallen she *boops* it on his nose, then continues on her way. It looked like he needed cheering up.

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake continues to linger on the periphery as the others talk, but since no one else seems to be fighting over the cupcakes and violence doesn't seem to be breaking out, he gradually starts to withdraw, beginning to wander off toward the stairs with the remainder of his cupcake and his drink. His own phone buzzes and he pulls it out, glancing down at it to tap out a quick message before slipping it back into his pocket again, and shifts his messenger bag on his shoulder. He hasn't even had a chance to set it down yet.

Julian Keller has posed:
Julian Keller looks up as the frosting is dolloped on his nose. He about to snap but then sees that it's Gabby again and, surprisingly, swallows his venom. He even has the ghost of a smile for just a second. He swipes the chocolate from his nose and sucks it from his finger, the metal in his ears momentarily drowning out the festivities.

Not that he cares what anyone's talking about, of course. He doesn't need friends. He's fine just by himself, the way it's always been.

Joshua Foley has posed:
Yeah probably best Josh doesn't know what the potential future holds. The whole dying thing may actually really be a bad vibe. Even if he also got better in that timeline. I mean really best to not think about all that to ohard.

Josh takes another bite of pizza and nods. "Hey thanks. Are you a senior or one of the ones in college in the city and just visiting a lot?" curious now.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex nods to Bobby as he sees him walking past. "Hey...don't think I've run into you. I'm Alex Summers." He offers a hand. "Hope you enjoyed the snacks." he says, eyeing as another cupcake goes wandering off. Well. Probably might not get another one at this rate. At least he has pizza. Old Klingon proverb. Or something.

Hope Summers has posed:
"You could call me...an exchange student?" Hope answers Josh, a ghost of a smile flickering across her features. "I'm not really a student, it's not exactly my thing. And I'm definitely not a teacher. This is more of a...I guess you could call it a waystation for me. Just trying to get my bearings before I figure out which direction I'm headed, you know?"

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake comes to a stop by Alex and smiles, shifting things in his hands so that he can give him a friendly handshake in greeting. "Bobby Drake," he introduces himself. "I teach here part time. Math. I'm also a Mathematics major at Empire State, graduating this fall. I'll be here full time teaching after that. But I'm so back and forth between here and school, we just haven't managed to cross paths yet. Nice to finally get a chance to meet you." He then grins and says, "Yeah, thanks for sharing those with everyone."

Alex Summers has posed:
"Math, huh? Me too! Empire State, I mean. Finishing a masters in Geophysics, minor in archeology." Alex offers thoughfully, shaking firmly. "Yeah, I mostly am in town, but I come out here to, uh...learn to use my abilities. They kinda came out of nowhere a month ago, so....lots of catching up to do. ." He wrinkles his nose a bit, then hehs. "Well, really Emma, but I'll pass it on to her when I see her later. It was a nice suprise. Been a while since anyone really noticed my birthday coming and going." he admits.

Bobby Drake has posed:
"Oh yeah?" Bobby asks, seeming to brighten a little as Alex talks about his own studies. "That's awesome. Archaeology seems fascinating and rocks are pretty cool." He grins, knowing geophysics is more than just rocks. "I was going to go for my CPA but then I changed my mind and decided to go into teaching instead. I like just pure Mathematics a lot, so I'm going to teach that instead. Not that I didn't enjoy accounting. I just decided I'd rather give back here, you know?" But then he nods about the abilities and says, "That's.. how I ended up here when I was a kid. So, I definitely get it." He smiles then and says, "Was nice of her to surprise you.. and everybody else. And now we know when your birthday is."

Joshua Foley has posed:
There is a mMmmm from Josh to Hope's direction now. "Okay." he considers that and then nods slowly. "I mean that sounds really vague and mysterious... in a movie that would be the mysterious protagonists explanation for their presence.. or in a western.. same deal."

He sips his soda. "Why are you thinking of leaving... I mean baring the monster attacks Berto mentioned it seems nice here?"

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope chuckles to Josh, taking a step back with a wry smile. "Well, that's because the whole truth is a little hard to swallow," she admits. "But it's close enough. As for why leave, well. This is a school," she points out, shrugging. "And I'm not a kid." Or at least that's why she says. She doesn't //look// older than her teens.

"There's just a lot of things I-" Suddenly, she stiffens, eyes widening. "I left the soldering iron on. Sorry, gotta go!" she exclaims, turning to dash back up the stairs toward the rooms. You know, before one of those high-tech guns accidentally blows up a wing or something.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex nod, grinning a bit. "Yeah, that's me, just like digging in the dirt. Archeology is kind of a hobby more than where I'm going, but, well, always liked it. That's why all the Indiana Jones pics on the cupcakes." He tilts his head. "Math's good too though, teaching is always something we need for it." He reaches over to snag another cupcake. "And yeah, guess you do. So, uh...you've been here that long? So you know my brother pretty well, right?"

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake laughs, "Yeah, that makes the cupcakes make more sense, though I mean, nothing wrong with Indiana Jones one way or another. Those were fun movies." When Alex asks about his brother, Bobby says, "I mean, yeah, I've been here for a long time so I've known Scott for a while." He smiles a little wryly, "Though, I'm not going to go running and telling him anything before you get a chance to talk to him, if that's any consolation."

Joshua Foley has posed:
Welp. Josh looks after hope amused.

Then he carefully stuffs an extra two sodas in hoodie pockets, fills his plate with cooling pizza and one more cupcake, and then manages to juggle his books under one arm before saying to Alex "Happy birthday again!" and then to Bobby "Good to see you Drake." before heading up to the rooms.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex waves idly to Hope as she goes running past. "...soldering iron?" he murmurs, then nods to Bobby. "Appreciate that. Honestly...I'm gonna be in enough trouble I'm guessing for the cupcakes and pizza showing up here." he grumbles faintly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Apparently Scott is the Fun Police here or something." He nods to Josh, smiling. "Thanks." as the boy goes past.

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake winces a little bit when Hope suddenly says she left a soldering iron on somewhere. "Please don't burn down the school," he calls after her with a slight shake of his head. Then he smiles at Josh and says, "Hey. Good to see you, too." He gives Josh a wave with the free hand not holding onto his food. Then he smiles wryly at Alex and says, "Scott can be.. uh.. very serious about things. And yeah, having something delivered to the school, probably not a great idea. And yeah, he'll probably have some opinions on that. But I'm not going to rat you out. Lorna's right though, you should probably talk to her and Jean, and then have a conversation with Scott sooner rather than later." He pauses. "After your birthday.."

Alex Summers has posed:
"It's appreciated. I'll...find Jean. Or Lorna. Or hell, both of them and just tell both of them at once." Alex sighs a bit. Not looking forward to that conversation. "Well, at least the kid got some treats out of it too. Mind helping me pack it up and take it to the kitchen? Don't need the leftovers." He pauses. "...maybe one of the cupcakes..."

Bobby Drake has posed:
Bobby Drake gives Alex just a little bump with his elbow and grins, "It'll all be alright. And sure, I'll give you a hand getting these to the kitchen." He then moves to help pack up the boxes of leftover pizza and cupcakes, the chips and everything else to begin moving it off toward the kitchen for the vultures to circle.
