Cast of Characters: Michael Hannigan, Hope Summers

Michael Hannigan has posed:
After the events of the previous evening and regaining conciousness on Chas's couch the next morning, Mike is STILL tired. There's likely plenty of factors contributing to the reason but of the ones he knows about, using a new spell is HIGH on the list. But either way. He's still tired and he's dealing with it the best way he knows how. By getting coffee.

The Coffee bean is unusually slow today. But, considering how he's feeling he's definitely not going to complain about that aspect as there's little in terms of a line. Plus that nice sofa in the shop is available and that is SO screaming his name right now. But first, he's got to finish paying for his order and wait for his name to be called.

The barista smiles back to the tired looking pony-tailed man. Mike takes the change offered to him, dumping the coins and one of the bills into the tip jar beside her. The remaining fiver gets slid back into his pocket as he moves over to the waiting area.

Hope Summers has posed:
Ah..Coffee is always good, especially after a long night of burning the midnight oil. Hope has nit had anymore strange dreams as of late but she did have other things on her mind. Like illegal weapons smuggling, cyborgs and other metas causing trouble. But maybe she's been working too hard. Thank goodness for coffee.

She is also eyeing that comfy sofa and steps right up to the counter after Mike leaves, ordering a good strong drink for herself. Before heading towards said couch with a yawn..

Michael Hannigan has posed:
And that is where Mike has lost the seat claiming war. For while he waits for his drink at the counter first, Hope lays claim to the sofa before said drink is prepped. It would be a sad time for Mike indeed.

If his back wasn't turned towards the sofa, hiding this. Arms crossed, the musician tilts his head forward in reaction to a closed mouth yawn as he waits. Yes. Today was a black coffee type of day. It's not a long wait at all.

"Mike!"

"Hope!"

Being closer to the counter, Mike gets his drink first.

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope Summers blinks, glancing towards the counter, reaching it a second after Mike. Has she noticed the other guy's interest in said sofa? Well she does have a slight smile on her face as she reaches the counter and grabs her drink, before glancing at Mike arching a brow, "Sooo, should we flip a coin or...?"she gives a double take and blinks, "Heeey have I seen you somewhere before..?"

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike's already walking towards the sofa before someone speaking him draws his attention. His steps slow to a stop as exhausted eyes look to the younger shop patron. The mention of flipping the coin makes him look over to the sofa. Oh. He frowns, looking back in time to see the questioning look.

Hearing the question, Mike's jaw drops slightly as he tries to focus on the woman. "Uh, maybe? I come here a lot."

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope Summers grins, pulling out a quarter, getting ready to flip a coin. "Lemme guess, you had a rough night, we're hoping for a nice lay in on a public sofa in the local coffee shop?" she shrugs, tilting her head as she peers intently at him. "Hmm, dunno exactly where I saw you before but I know we've definitely met, somewhere..." and that name too, hmm..She yawns rather tiredly, stretching her arms, "Phew, haven't slept in ages, life can be so busy so,times, can't it?" of course, Hope is still trying to figure out where she met him..

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Last night was rough. But, I was perfectly fine with the idea of just slouching on half of the sofa." Mike replies, only half admiting to Hope's theory. "Coffee doesn't drink well if you're fully lying down. Wouldn't recommend trying it either. Just asking for the lid to pop off on you."

The thought alone should be deterrent enough. As the pair approaches the living room style furniture portion of the coffee shop, the musician diverts course, instead taking up one of the arm chairs. "Maybe I just look like someone you met before." Mike suggests, lifting up a leg onto an ottoman. He pauses, trying to see if he can place her but odds are most likely that wouldn't be the case. While an audience is looking on a small number, those on the stage are looking back at a great many.

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope Summers chuckles and shrugs, heading to the sofa, patting the seat next to her, "It's okay, plenty of room for one more!"still she watches him thoughtfully, pondering, "Hmm...We'll, it's funny but I once had this crazy dream that seemed right out of a certain movie. I was trying to escape this mental asylum and I was dressed in some sort of sailor girl uniform. This towering building was all glass and I found other prisoners who were trying to escape.." she narrows her eyes on him. "..And there was this one guy who helped me out, turned into a big raven and teleported me to the main floor where I met others and we escaped..He kinda reminded me of you somehow.." of course the details are rather fuzzy but some of the dream she still remembers.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike shakes his head at the offer, having already settled into the chair. Sitting down already takes so much energy and honestly he's not sure if he'd be able to get back up so soon. Taking advantage of the silence from Hope's pondering, He lifts up his coffee to take a sip.

When Hope starts describing the dream, the sipping stops. Cup leveling off, pale eyes lift up to look over to Hope quietly. Listening to the description. Somee of the details were off but it's been awhile and dreams are funny. Details are muddled.

But the overall description. It is a good thing the shop is almost empty and no one is near them.

"Dropped through." Mike corrects, "Dropped through the floors. Not teleported."

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope Summers takes another sip of her own coffee and as Mike decides to stay where he is, she decides to lean on one arm rest, stretching out a bit. "Hmm, this is good stuff, I gotta come here again.." she smiles, wiping her mouth, thinking. "Dropped through..Still felt like--Heeey..It WAS you, wasn't it?" she laughs.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike gives a nod of confirmation. "Yeah. Uh. turns out that some dreams are a collective thing. And, I was a very lucid dreamer for that one..." He tilts his head, "Those were some weird ones." He pauses, "Sorry, I didn't remember until you brought that up."

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope Summers blinks slowly, "Wait what? Do you mean that happens often? Like it's a thing that's happened to others too.." oh that's right, there were others there too. "Heey, does that mean the other people in that dream were for reals too?" she peers at him some more, "And what, there was more than one?"

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike gives a shrug. "Behold the power of the human mind, ta da?" He pauses to sip his coffee considering Hope. Seems she was only in the first of those weird dreams. Well. In for a penny, in for a pound. "...There were a few more. Not at that location but, some repeating faces. But, they stopped."

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope Summers hmms, taking another sip of coffee. "Yeah, haven't been able to sleep well in a long time. I guess when you can't sleep properly you dint dream properly either, right?" she shrugs, it would explain why she wasn't in those other dreams. "Soo..What was that about anyway? How can multiple people dream the same thing..Or was it some sort of magic spell we were under?"

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike chuckles, "Well, now you're asking things I can't really answer. So I guess by default we'll have to chalk it up to magic. That's where the unexplained stuff goes, right?"

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope Summers hehs and nods, "I guess you're right..Can't say I'm familiar with magic really..In fact I'd rather avoid it wherever possible. Too unpredictable.." she peers at him curiously, "But, you DID transform into a raven right? Or is that just part of the dream world and not for real?"

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"I was dreaming just like you." Mike answers, "Overall, in dreams, you can be whatever your mind allows you to become. The trick is realizing when you're in a dream or not so you can control how you want to be. I'm apparently VERY good at lucid dreaming." He lifts up his cup, taking a long sip of his coffee.

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope Summers hmms and nods, "I see..That's kinda cool. I mean, do you think it's true what they say about reliving out your subconscious issues and trying to resolve them through dreams? I'm trying to figure out what that dream even meant..Of course I was watching a crazy fantasy movie along a similar line."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The cup lowers. "Yes." The answer is quick. No hesitation at all to the first question. "Some are." Mike continues, "But the collective ones? Not so much."
