So many Questions
Date of Scene: 15 August 2021
Location: GC Studios Waiting Area
Synopsis: Nick and Thomas are seeing some warning signs at the casting call for an up and coming TV Series...
Cast of Characters: Michael Hannigan, Thomas Blake

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Well, As it turns out what Thomas heard was true. One of the two offers that was waiting for Nick when he got home was indeed mentioning a project called 'Theme of the Crime'. It wasn't something extremely fancy and based from the description he was given, the part described screamed single episode, possibly two in terms of commitment. Plus someone with some knowledge about the material was willing to give some pointers so- why not?

The waiting area lacks windows and seems more like a doctor's office setting than anything. There's a desk area beside a set of doors and a bunch of plain looking, navy blue hard plastic chairs lined up in a row along the wall area. The lighting above gives a bit of a sickly yellow hue to the wall while the the dingy blue carpet looks to be in need of replacement. Oh dear lord.

Following the prompts from the instructions earlier, the pony tailed Nick ends up checking in at the desk and being directed over to the row of seats that's meant for the Catmens.

As the musician turns, pale eyes widen at the sight. There's two others waiting of extremely different body types. While one was about the same height as Thomas, he appeared even thinner than Nick. As for the other one well...

No wonder Thomas was willing to offer help.

Thomas Blake has posed:
And then... Catman is there. Actually Thomas Blake. He hangs in the doorway entangled with a stunning if small redhead, murmuring gently to her. Whatever he says, she nods and gives him a thumbs up, then stands on her tiptoes to deliver a kiss. As she eaves he gives her a slap on the rear eliciting a giggle. Thomas adjusts his shades and cap and sits down next to Mike, eyeing the competition before saying, "I may have a future in motivational speaking."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Recovering from the initial surprise, Nick moves over to take a seat. The wider of the two that were already there, turns, giving Nick an assessing look before giving a confident chuckle.

Nick looks over to the other guy before the giggle draws his attention the the doorway. Seeing Thomas come over, he gives the largest and Cat Manniest one of them all a bit of a smile in greeting. His head turns, looking to Thomas as he sits down, glancing back over to the competition as Thomas does as well.

Confident guy looks back over to Thomas. He's quiet for a few moments before he turns his head again, still smiling. Yep. No one else has perfected the look like he has.

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake looks over to the others a moment. "Just walk in there like you give zero fucks whether you get this gig or not. Hunh. You know that little ginger I was talking to? Nice girl. All wrong for Poison Ivy. Still she has to eat, I suppose. I've noticed since I've been with Tana... picking up normal women is way less of a challenge. Probably just full of it. They got coffee here?" He looks around, spots a coffee maker and finger guns it. "You want?"

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Nick tilts his head down as he gives a bit of a grin, finding amusement to the advice. "That'll be easy." He admits, "Judging from the variety I don't think even they know what they want. Or they're looking to be ...edgy." Based from the way Nick says the last word, it's not intended as a compliment. "Besides, other offers."

To the inquiry about coffee, Nick glances up, looking around as well before looking over to to the small station. "Yeah, sure. Black."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake glances at the reception desk. Then he comes back with the coffee. He hands Nick a cup then pulls a notepad out and jots down some notes before pocketing it. the thick set actor watches Blake's muscles move under his jacket sleeve, then flexes his arms showing off. "Not bad for a pretty boy," he snerks at Blake.

"Say anything more to me, I will split your fucking head," Blake says, wthout looking up. He takes a sip, "Good coffee."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Nick's eyes follow Thomas as he heads over to the coffee station to make their drinks. He's silent, observing the movements of the simple order. There's not many steps for black coffee after all.

The receptionist turns to a desk on aother side of the wall, leaning forward to listen to a prompt before turning back to the front desk, looking over to the Catman line, in particular the slenderman of the group. "CM number 2. You may step through." A pen is extended towards one of the doors to the side of the desk before she turns to talk to someone near one of the other doors.

Cup offered to him, Nick smiles, taking the offered cup. "Thanks." He picks up the cup to take a sip while the widest of the group gives Thomas a backhanded compliment. Lips purse together to suppress a bit of a laugh to Blake's response before he glances up to the opening door in order to see dyed hair, white face paint and a large green bow tie. "...damn."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake goes very still when the white face and green bow tie enter.

He knew something like this would happen. A series about theme criminals, filmed IN Gotham. Of course he'd show up. If they were casting for him, they did it wrong. If they weren't it was a slight. Otherwise, It was Monday! Everybody dies. His hand goes to the small of his back.

Beating the Joker in hand to hand? He can do that. But it was never that simple. There was a bomb or a poison playing card or... who knows what? He prepares to scream and leap.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
As Thomas gets still, Nick's eyes look over towards the man. Wait. No. Eyes shift back to look to the man with the painted face, giving him a bit more assessing look. That couldn't really be-. NO.

Grinning, arms folded behind his back. The man in the painted face gives a low chuckle as he looks around at those gathered inside. Feet doing an exaggerated rollstep, he strolls over to the counter to check in with the hushed receptionist. Opening his voice, a deep low voice ends up destroying the very mood of the entrance. "Robert Osbourne." He says to the receptionist, "I'm here to audi-" He's immediately handed a folder and pointed over to the seating area furthest from the rest of the hopefuls. "What is wrong with you?" The reception mutters, shaking her head as she turns around to wave to someone on the other side of the wall.

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake relaxes as he sees the man walk, and catches a whiff of grease paint instead of chemo weapons and gasoline. He leans over to Nick and snarls, "I thought they weren't using /him/ in this series? it's really not smart."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
As the voices start speaking confirming this clown to not be THE clown, Nick ends up releasing a breath he didn't know he had been holding. The non coffee cup holding hand lifts up, pinching the bridge of his nose. Thomas's comment about it not being smart gets rewarded with a nod of agreement. "...Hopefully the Catman episodes don't overlap with his."

The larger Catman hopeful looks over to the face painted man and grows quiet, face a bit pale. Over towards the wall of Ivy hopefuls, one of the girls gets up and leaves.

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake looks over at the wall of Ivy hopefuls too. And looks.

He notes he little friend from before but she is running lines and trying to keep from giggling.

"You can look, boys, but ya better not touch... teeheeheeheehee!" her voice carries over.

"D'aaaaw," looks over at Nick. "I know, why would I bring her home when I have 'Tana? Same reason guys bring home puppies or kittens."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Nick looks over to the giggling Ivy, trying to discern if the line itself is what's making her laugh or that the boys are indeed looking. He turns his head back to Thomas's comment, brow arcing as he talks about puppies or kittens. "You two do have an interesting dynamic going on." He looks down, opening up the small folder that was given to him with the lines provided. Taking a sip, he proceeds to open it up, ignoring the pale faced Catman hopeful noping out of the audition.

A brow arches as he goes over the scene set. "...riding a robot- what?"
